Original “Ghostbusters” cast returning to reprise their roles in Ghostbusters III but will Annie Potts and Rick Moranis return as well, hopefully?

Yes, pretty much the whole gang of the Ghostbusters cast are coming back for Jason Reitman’s “Ghostbusters III”. Yes, Sigourney Weaver is coming back as Dana Barrett, Bill Murray coming back as Dr. Peter Venkman, Dan Aykroyd coming back as Dr. Ray Stantz and Ernie Hudson coming back as Winston Zeddemore.

Only Ghostbuster that can’t return is obviously Harold Ramis who was Dr. Egon Spengler and Harold passed away in 2014. I’m glad “GIII” is finally moving forward but it still won’t be the same without Egon, though.

Now I’m wondering if Annie Potts will return as the Ghostbusters secretary Janine and wonder if Rick Moranis would come out of acting retirement to reprise his role as Louis Tully. I can see Annie coming back maybe but Rick? We’ll have to wait and see on that one. It would be awesome if Louis Tully did come back ’cause that character was what helped make the first two Ghostbusters movie entertaining.

I didn’t see the all-female reboot directed by Paul Feig and I don’t plan on seeing that film at all. I haven’t even touched it and still haven’t seen it. Don’t want to.

Now that we have a more appropriate Ghostbusters movie in the works, I’ll probably see “Ghostbusters III” if the trailers look good enough.

I’m a huge Ghostbusters fan. Have been all my life. The first one and the original was one of my all-time favorite movies. The second one was pretty good but the writing could have been better.

I wonder what the plot for “Ghostbusters III” is gonna be about? It’s probably gonna be the same plot Dan Aykroyd has been talking about for years… a passing of the torch kind of story. It’s probably gonna be about Ray, Peter and Winston teaching up and coming recruits on how to be a Ghostbuster. I’m sure we’ll see Slimer back and I’m sure we’ll see Staypuff back, but I’m sure the film will have new ghosts and new villains.

I’m hoping Jason don’t disappoint with this film. I’m sure he’s getting a lot of help and advice from his father, Ivan Reitman.

Some of you may say that Ghostbusters shouldn’t continue without Harold but this is a new movie franchise and series. It’s probably gonna continue on and on kind of like James Bond, Star Wars and Star Trek. Ghostbusters is definitely a franchise along those lines.

Even though Sony is continuing on without Harold, I’m sure the film will give Harold a tribute in some way. I bet Egon’s ghost will make a cameo appearance if anything. That will probably happen.

“Brightburn” was an awesome movie, saw it yesterday afternoon…

I’ve been curious about the “Brightburn” movie ever since they’ve been talking about it. I remember Hollywood saying they were going to do a horror film version of Superman, a much darker Superman that is and now that the film is here, I had to go and check it out myself. To my surprise I thought it was really good. The film is getting mixed reviews everywhere. Film is getting trashed by critics and some movie fans are trashing it too but you don’t wanna listen to them, ya know? I don’t care about others opinions when it comes to movie. I speak for myself when it comes to watching movies. If I love it then I love it… if I don’t like it then I’ll be honest and say it.

Well I happened to love the movie “Brightburn”. It was an interesting story. Different and completely original. It gets tiresome seeing good guy superhero characters being the lead… well now it’s finally time for a super villain to take the lead. This is a new origin story that tells the story of a super villain… a total re-imagining of Superman. Brightburn has similar powers as Superman does and he was from a different planet like Superman. “Brightburn” movie was taking place on a farmhouse kind of like what “Superman: The Movie” was in the beginning of the movie. Both “Brightburn” and “Superman” had similar plots but slightly different.

The movie was only an hour and a half long but still very good. I thought it was well-made and well-directed too. I also believe this movie is gonna be a series ’cause this movie was just an introduction and it’s leading to something. In the sequel, I believe Brandon/Brightburn character will be a full grown adult in the next one and the next one won’t be taking place on a farm either. I think the next one could be taken place in a town or a big city where Brightburn can go and destroy things. It’s going to be interesting to see how the Brightburn character is going to develop from here. I think in the sequel, Brightburn will have a better looking costume too. It’s so refreshing to see a movie where a super villain takes the leading role and there’s no other superheros to fight him. Hope they keep it this way for the sequels.

Also, people are acting like they’ve never seen Superman evil before… just a reminder, Superman was evil very briefly in “Superman III” w/ Christopher Reeve (remember the Superman vs. Clark Kent junkyard fight scene???) and Superman turned evil a little bit during “B vs. S: Dawn of Justice”.

Anyway, back to “Brightburn” you should definitely go check it out. I’m not sure if this film was adapted from comics or graphic novels, probably not but I felt like reading a graphic novel when I was watching this film if that makes sense. This film felt kind of graphic novel-like. I’m definitely buying the BluRay when it comes out. I thought the kid who played Brandon/Brightburn did a good job and I hope the same actor plays the character in the sequels.

More “Rambo: Last Blood” trailer thoughts… will Rambo die or live at the end of movie???

I used to be able to think that Rambo could possibly get killed at the end of “Rambo: Last Blood” but from the looks of things, it looks as if Rambo may live and survive at the end. Why? Simply because Sly Stallone hinted at Cannes, he would do a sixth installment of the Rambo franchise if “Last Blood” turns out to be a huge hit. If it bombs then he probably won’t do another one. I don’t think Sly would have to worry about “Last Blood” bombing ’cause the “Last Blood” trailer sparked a lot of buzz with movie fans.

This is not just a film for die-hard Rambo fanatics. Even people who only watched the first Rambo movie and not the other films have sparked interest in “Last Blood”. Even Rambo newbies got interested in the fifth film which was all very cool to see. I think this movie will be huge and it will sell well in the box office, I’m sure. I remember when the 4th Rambo film came out, it didn’t get much of a buzz and that film wasn’t much of a hit but “Last Blood” could be a hit. Back to if Rambo either lives or dies at the end of “Last Blood”, I think they will make him live for another film. This might not be the last one after all. It’s going to be interesting to see how “Last Blood” is gonna end and we’ll wait to see how when we see it in theaters in Sept.

From the looks of the trailer, it’s looking like that Rambo goes in underground caves in Mexico to find the missing girl he’s supposed to find. After Rambo finds her, he brings her back to her family and Rambo goes back to home to his ranch… but wait… it’s not over yet. Uh oh, looks like the sex traffickers and drug lords from Mexico want revenge so they go to his ranch home to try and kill him. That’s what the trailer looked like to me. The sex traffickers are trying their best to kill Rambo but you know Rambo, right? He can’t be stopped. Rambo is a one-man wrecking machine… meaning that he’s capable of killing a bunch of people all by himself and once again, he shows that in “Last Blood”.

I noticed that the trailer doesn’t show the missing girl plot yet as this is just a teaser but all the first teaser does is shows that Rambo goes to Mexico to hunt down bad guys… why did Rambo go to Mexico??? We’ll find out more in the upcoming trailers and I’m sure trailer number 2 will reveal the missing girl plot.

Ya know, after seeing the trailer now, I’m glad that the film makers stuck with the Rambo goes after sex traffickers plot. It’s an interesting idea and definitely different than the previous 4 Rambo films. I already predicted in the past that the sex traffickers plot will bring out Rambo’s violent side even more and I was right. I’ve seen Rambo pretty intense in the previous 4 but in “Last Blood” Rambo himself looks even more intense and more aggressive. That’s what makes Sly an amazing actor.

I can’t wait for the film, though. The “Last Blood” trailer was really well made but there will be more trailers coming.

Will “Last Blood” be a hit film? Like I said above, I think it will. It will not be as big as “Avengers: Endgame” but I think “Last Blood” will do well. I’m stoked for this film. You should be too.

“Rambo: Last Blood” teaser trailer drops today and it looks freakin’ badass! Can’t wait!!!

Well I never expected the “Rambo: Last Blood” trailer to drop today. There were no prior announcements about this so the trailer just dropped out of nowhere. I guess they wanted to surprise us and they did. Sly didn’t say anything about a trailer being released this week so here it is…. the trailer for “Rambo: Last Blood”.

When Sly started releasing pics of the film on his instagram… people were getting worried that this might turn out to be a western kind of film. It looks like it is going to be more of a western but the violent action scenes are still there. The trailer gave me goosebumps and I’m stoked to see this. Can’t wait.

The movie is not done yet ’cause Sly is still filming scenes for it. Looks freakin’ awesome, though.

Enjoy, y’all.

“Rambo: Last Blood” is looking pretty sick… could it end up being the best Rambo film??? We’ll see…

I love the video footage Sly shared with us above from “Rambo: Last Blood”. The movie is looking freakin’ awesome so far. It is looking more and more like the first Rambo movie, “First Blood”.

Only thing I’m disappointed about is that I’m kind of with everyone that I wished Rambo didn’t get a haircut. I prefer him with the long hair more but so far, this movie is still looking badass.

I’m sure we’ll see plenty of violence and action. I’ll be there to see this movie in theaters in Sept. and can’t wait.

1993 action film “Cliffhanger” that starred Sylvester Stallone is getting a reboot but will have a female starring in the leading role…

Stallone’s 1993 hit action film “Cliffhanger” that was directed by Renny Harlin and also starring Michael Rooker and John Lithgow is getting a complete reboot. Stallone’s “Cliffhanger” came out 26 years ago… yeah, the film was that long ago and it was a smash hit in the box office. I remember when the original “Cliffhanger” came out and I loved the movie ever since. Still do love the film… it’s definitely one of Sly’s best action films outside of Rambo.

The reboot film is going to be completely different, though. Will the story of the reboot be about a bunch of bad guys trying to find cases of money spread around snowy mountain areas like the original? No probably not. I’m sure most of the reboot will be taken place on a mountain throughout the whole film but I’m sure the story is gonna be different. I’m sure the story of the reboot will have bad guys going after the leading character, though… except the leading character in the “Cliffhanger” reboot will be female.

The director will be female too as they already hired a director but they haven’t found their female lead yet. The director is  goona be Ana Lily Amirpour.

Hang On, Cannes! Neal Moritz’s Female-Fronted ‘Cliffhanger’ Reboot Climbs With Rocket Science, CAA

I wonder who they’re gonna get for the female lead? Will they get a big name star or will they get a complete unknown? No doubt she is gonna be young. They should probably get an actress who has some action movie experience, though… actresses such as Gina Carano, Michelle Rodriguez, Zoe Saldana, Noomi Rapace, Alicia Vikander, Natalie Portman, etc. I can see one of them getting the role.

Some of you may ask, is Sly himself upset with this project? Nope. It seems to me that he’s all for it and he definitely supports it. Straight from his instagram about the reboot:

Will I go see the “Cliffhanger” reboot when it comes out? I would… depending on who the female lead is going to be and I’ll wait to see a trailer first before making a decision.

I’ll be keeping an eye on this project, though.

Robert Pattinson is the next in line of Batman actors, I’m no fan of him like most but I’ll give him a chance…

So it’s looking like that Robert Pattinson the star of the “Twilight” movies which is he most famous for is gonna be the next Batman. That means Pattinson is gonna be added to the growing list of Batman actors for the big screen: Michael Keaton, George Clooney, Val Kilmer, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck and looks like Robert Pattinson is gonna be added to the list.

https://variety.com/2019/film/news/robert-pattinson-batman-matt-reeves-bruce-wayne-dc-comics-1203125473/

I’m no fan of his like most people but I’m not gonna be so quick to judge and I’m gonna give him a chance first. We haven’t even seen what he looks like in the batsuit and cowl yet. We will soon, though. I think the goal for the new Batman reboot is that they wanted a younger Batman. The Batman movies over the years focused on an older Batman who’s in his 40’s and up. They wanted someone much younger so I guess they found that Pattinson is their guy.

What do you think? Do you think Pattinson has what it takes to play the next Bruce Wayne/Batman? I don’t know. He might do a good job and he might not. We shouldn’t be so quick to negatively judge him. Why don’t people wait until we see footage from the film first instead of criticizing him ’cause of his “Twilight” fame?

Never know… Pattinson becoming the next Batman could end up being fucking awesome. We’ll have to wait and see.

“Avengers: Endgame” one of the best superhero films ever made??? Yes, it sure definitely is!

Yesterday afternoon, I went and saw “Avengers: Endgame” in theater for the second time. I’m still blown away by the film and loved it even more the second time. It’s definitely a masterpiece of a film and definitely one of the best superhero films ever made.

There has been many superhero films over the years. Some of them were crap, some of them were pretty good but it’s very rare that Hollywood makes a superhero film that’s really good. Why? It’s hard to make a really good superhero film but sometimes Hollywood does make a really good one.

My Top 10 Favorite superhero films in no particular order:

Superman: The Movie
Superman II
The Dark Knight (w/ Heath Ledger as Joker)
Robocop (the first one with Peter Weller)
Watchmen
Batman (yes, the Burton/Keaton/Nicholson movie)
The Crow (1994 film with Brandon Lee)
Logan (this is the best Wolverine film and still need to get the BluRay at some point)
The Punisher (1994 film w/Thomas Jane, in my opinion this is the best Punisher film)
Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse (Animated film but still really good, I was never into Spiderman until I saw this. Still need to get the BluRay soon)

Now you can add “Avengers: Endgame” to that list. I thought the Russo brothers did a great job with “Infinity War/Endgame” ’cause they were both really good movies.

Watching all these superhero movies in the theater over the years of my life, sparked my interest in comics and graphic novels. I just started collecting comics and graphic novels ’cause of it all. I have a small comic and graphic novel collection but it’s a good start.

Keep in mind that it was Superman that started this whole superhero craze. Superman started the comics and he started the live action films. There were no other superhero movies before “Superman: The Movie” came out. They don’t call Superman the king of all superheroes for no reason ’cause he really is. He started it all. Marvel wouldn’t have been around if it wasn’t for him.

Sly Stallone shares behind the scenes footage of “Rambo: Last Blood”, they use lowbudget handheld cameras like in “First Blood”…

Sly Stallone dropped this cool behind the scenes footage on his instagram page. Showing some scenes from “Rambo: Last Blood” and it shows them using smaller handheld cameras like they used in the first Rambo film. Very cool.

As you can see, there’s a scene where Rambo is shooting a machine gun. Yep, I just knew that Rambo would be shooting machine guns again for this film. Rambo may have cut his hair for this one but the only thing that hasn’t changed is the violent Rambo. Despite the short hair, we’re still gonna get the same Rambo we’ve always had.

Not too worry, Rambo fans. “Rambo: Last Blood” will be an action packed and violent movie like Sly’s been promising. He won’t disappoint us at all and will make ALL Rambo fans happy.

I can’t wait to see this one in Sept.!

Saw “Avengers: Endgame” last night… best superhero film since “The Dark Knight”…

Went and saw “Avengers: Endgame” last night in the movie theaters. A few friends of mine invited me over the weekend so I said “Yes, I’m definitely down” and so I went with them.

I’m a huge Avengers fan. Saw all the films in theater and re-watched them all on BluRay last week. Now that the fourth Avengers film, “Endgame” is finally here, I went and saw it last night. After the movie was over three hours later, I was like, “Wow”… my mind was blown. Honestly, I was expecting the film to be “okay” or “pretty good” but it ended up being more than “okay or “pretty good”. The film turned out to be amazing and it’s definitely a masterpiece. If there was a superhero film that deserves to win “Best Picture” in the Oscars for the first time, “Avengers: Endgame” should definitely get that award even though it would never happen.

I really was blown away and speechless when the movie got over with. The film had a great story and great plot. The film was well-acted by everyone in the cast. The film has a crowded cast and it’s mostly big name stars all over. They all did a great job but I was most impressed with Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. Those three guys are great actors for sure. Yeah, Mark Ruffalo is a die-hard liberal and his political views are awful but still, his acting talent can’t be denied. I was impressed with the direction of the film too as the Russo brothers did a great job.

The film had many emotions throughout the film… it can be enjoyable, funny, sad, intense and action packed. While the previous three Avengers movies had some pretty good action scenes, I thought the action scenes in “Endgame” were a blast to watch, though. The action scenes in “Endgame” gave me goosebumps and I was fucking floored. Holy crap!

This is a non-spoiler review so I’m not going to talk about the story at all. Just what I think of it and that’s it ’cause there are some big surprises in the film.

I thought it was a very impressive movie and definitely the best superhero film I’ve seen in years. Yep, “Endgame” is definitely gonna be the final Avengers film. I don’t see how it could continue after this. It’s all over for the Avengers so it’s an end of era. It’s understandable ’cause Robert Downey Jr. spent years and years playing Iron Man and he wants to move from the character finally.

Even though it was a three hour movie, it certainly didn’t feel like it ’cause it went by fast due to the pacing.

Before you see this movie, though, I suggest you see the first three films first ’cause if you don’t… you’re going to get completely confused of the story so definitely watch ’em all in order.

I definitely loved the film and can’t wait for the BluRay already.
