Cool Video: I’m just dying to see the movie “Hanna” starring Saoirse Ronan…

This movie, “Hanna” starring Saoirse Ronan, looks very good. It’s an action thriller about a 16 year old girl who knows how to fight like a soldier, learning all that stuff from her father, who is an ex-CIA agent. She goes on a mission across Europe and is tracked down by an intelligence agent and her operatives.

The plot clearly sounds like Jason Bourne or a James Bond movie, except it’s aimed at a young girl being the hero. It’s rated PG-13 so the movie is aimed pretty much at the teen audience. After teens getting Harry Potter and Twilight, next here comes Hanna. I think teens deserve their own action movie so this film, “Hanna”, will be good for them.

Judging by this trailer, the film does look violent and brutal. Saoirse looks like a badass action star too. The movie comes out this Friday but it’s not playing in my local theater though. I’d like to see it since I’m a fan of action flicks and this actually looks like a fun one even though it is aimed at the younger generation.

Report: Will and Jaden Smith to re-team for M. Night Shyamalan sci-fi action adventure flick…

M. Night Shymalan’s last couple of movies, “The Last Airbender”, and “Devil” have both bombed in the box office terribly. Look like he’s trying to do whatever it takes to be a box office success again, by having Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith to star in a film together. M. Night Shyamalan will direct a sci action adventure movie, which will be about a young boy who crashed his spaceship on an abandoned planet, his father was onboard the ship, they navigate the planet while there.

Deadline, reports.

This film is gonna suck no matter how hard M. Night tries to save his failing career. I only liked two of M. Night’s films, “Unbreakable” and “The Sixth Sense” were both excellent films but the rest of M. Night’s films are total garbage. Plus, M. Night is overrated.

Report: Lindsay Lohan to play Eve Teschmacher for Superman???

Reports going around the web today that Lindsay Lohan will soon audition for a part in Zack Snyder’s, “Superman”. An un-named actor is up for the role of Lex Luthor, and she is going to audition with him. Lindsay will be playing a villain, but nobody is saying who yet.

I’m thinking Lindsay is going to be playing Eve Teschmacher, Luthor’s partner or girlfriend. I can totally see Lindsay in that role. Don’t believe this news right away ’cause Zack Snyder or Warner Brothers, haven’t confirmed the Lindsay casting yet.

If Lindsay could keep herself out of trouble and out of jail, then maybe she would get this opportunity.

More on the story, here.

Netflix Pick: Dolph Lundgren’s “The Killing Machine” brutal and graphic action flick…

So the first movie I watched on Netflix tonight was Dolph Lundgren’s newest directed film, “The Killing Machine”. It’s a straight to DVD movie, but I actually liked the film.

The film tells a story about a man named, Edward Genn (Dolph), who is a loving husband and he’s a father. He is being hunted down by Russian hitmen. His family doesn’t know about his dark past. He used to work for the Russian mob, he was a killer. Not anymore, he left the Russian mob to raise a family, only to put his family in danger. The whole movie is pretty much about this guy trying to save his family and seek revenge against this Russian mob boss who’s trying to kill him.

This film is just another example of why I think Dolph would make a perfect director for, “The Expendables” sequel. “The Killing Machine” is very low budget, but still a fun action movie. It was a very violent action movie. More violent, than “Command Performance”. There are plenty of gun shooting, fighting and blood in this movie.

The movie’s a short 90 minute flick, but it was still a blast to watch. Dolph is a good action movie director, probably better than Sly. If you have Netflix, I’d suggest you check this one out. I’ll be reviewing Netflix movies on here more often so I’ll name these topics, “Netflix Pick” for all you Netflix subscribers out there, I’ll recommend you stuff to watch if you can’t think of anything.

Cool Photo: Indiana Jones’s fridge scene from “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”…

In Indiana Jones, “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”, you remember that controversial fridge scene? Where Indy hides in this fridge during the Nuclear bomb explosion to protect himself? Well, here they are filming that scene. That’s really Harrison Ford in that fridge. It’s no stunt double, that’s really Harrison. The pic is proof of it.

Damn, while that scene is kind of goofy and silly, you gotta give respect for Harrison for braving that scene. I couldn’t even get in a fridge like that, it would be too painful and tiring. Gotta give the kudos for Harrison for dealing with that. I wonder how long Harrison stayed in that fridge in the pitch black dark like that?

Thought: More on why Dolph Lundgren could possibly be the next “Expendables” director…

So I wrote that Dolph could possibly be Sly’s replacement as director for, “The Expendables” sequel. If you want to know why Dolph would make a great choice for the director of the next film, I can think of more reasons why.

  • Dolph has more experience directing action movies than Sly – Dolph has more experience directing action movies. They all may have been direct to DVD flicks but that doesn’t mean they are bad films. Some of Dolph’s movies are actually pretty good as I actually thought “Command Performance” was a great film. Look at Dolph’s directorial filmography. They are mostly action movies.
  • Dolph can make the next Expendables flick more violent and action packed – If you’ve seen Dolph’s directed films, they are so violent, brutal and graphic. Dolph knows about fighting and violence than anybody else, so he can put on quite the great action movie here. He would put an old school feel to it too.
  • Dolph knows Sly’s directing style – Dolph have witnessed Sly direct with “Rocky IV” and the first “Expendables” movie. I’m sure Dolph has been taking lessons from Sly for his own directing. He would make the “Expendables” sequel similar to Sly’s style but would put his own original spin to it too.
  • Dolph being director would help give the film more publicity – If any other action film maker such as Robert Rodriguez or who ever else did this film instead, then the public wouldn’t care about this film as much. “The Expendables” goal is to have a movie full of action stars in one film, they will probably do the same with the director for the next film. Have a big name, direct it. If Dolph directed the next movie, it would help get more people interested.
  • Sly would want to return the favor to Dolph – Like I said before, Sly directed Dolph two times in films. Sly would want to pass the torch, return the help to a longtime friend. Sly would probably recommend Lionsgates to hire Dolph as director.

There you have it. I can’t see no other director making the next “Expendables” sequel. Dolph is the only one worth making the movie, in my opinion. Sure Dolph made straight to DVD stuff but that doesn’t mean he’s a terrible director. Have you even seen Dolph’s straight to DVD work? You should really check ’em out.

Dolph directing the next “Expendables” flick, would be a big screen opportunity for him and he would get recognized as a director more, too. I really hope Sly and Liosngates give him this opportunity. If they don’t, it would be a huge mistake.

Report: “The Expendables 2” slated for August 17th, 2012 release date…

Lionsgate Studios, have confirmed a release date, for “The Expendables 2” sequel. It will come out, August 17th in 2012. Stallone announced a while back that he wasn’t going to write and direct the next film but he still IS going to star the leading role as his character, Barney Ross. I’m sure Sly will still help out with the casting ’cause only he knows the right tough guys for a movie like this.

I hope they get a good director for the next movie.Who do I think the director is gonna be? I think the director is gonna be none other than Dolph Lundgren. Here is why… 1) Sly and Dolph have been best friends for years 2) Sly directed Dolph two times, Sly would want to give Dolph the opportunity to direct him. How much do you want to bet the director will be, Dolph? Dolph has so much directing experience and this would be a great opportunity for Dolph to direct a movie for the big screen, instead of direct-to-DVD. Dolph starred in the first “Expendables” movie, so he would know so much about it already. Plus, Dolph would make it great.

Looking forward to the sequel, hope it will be better than the first.

Cool Video: Hangover II trailer is finally here…

I’ve never even seen the first, “Hangover” movie yet, but I was meaning to check it out soon. I’m going to buy the first “Hangover” movie next time I go to Best Buy. The thing is, I don’t watch comedy films too much. The genres I mostly watch are: action, horror and drama, but once in a while I’ll watch a comedy when I need a good laugh.

The Hangover series does look entertaining.

Enjoy.

Thought: What makes Harry Potter so great…

Some people mistakenly think that the Harry Potter series are made for young adults and children. That’s what I thought too. In the past, I wasn’t into this whole Wizard thing. That’s why I never got into Harry Potter. I suddenly became intrigued with the stories. So I first saw all the movies, and then I read all the books. I now agree that, J.K. Rowling, is a genius writer, and all this publicity she’s getting for the books is well deserved. I think that when I visited the “Wizarding World of Harry Potter” at Universal Studios last Fall is what made me get into it. I visited the Harry Potter theme park and honestly, I thought that place was going to bore me to death. The place didn’t. I found it really amazing and fascinating, so I just had to start getting into Harry Potter to see how J.K. Rowling had her own theme park there.

Why are the Harry Potter series so amazing? I can think of these reasons…

  • The writing – Seriously, J.K. Rowling’s writing is phenomenal. I just couldn’t put the books down. I just wanted more. That is why I was quick on finishing all 7 books. Her writing makes it so you can read it fast. The detail and the insights of the stories is just mind blowing. As you read the books, it makes you feel like watching a movie in your head. Her writing style is just great.
  • The characters – Mrs. Rowling, came up with some of the most unique and creative characters. There are so many characters in all of the books, it’s kind of hard to follow through them all
  • The unpredictability – You just never knew what was going to happen next in these stories. It’ll keep you guessing ’til the very end.
  • There’s something for everyone in the books – These stories are really not just for kids. There is something for everyone, so people of all ages can read these stories. It’s not just for women. The guys can read them too. There is drama, romance, action, horror, fantasy, science fiction, etc. All genres mixed into one. The first book, may start off as a children’s book, yes, but the stories get a lot darker after the first one.

Wizards were only known in Medieval stories (the story of Merlin and King Arthur as an example), and J.K. Rowling wanted to take Wizard stories in a different direction. She wanted to make Wizards have their own little world, and she was successful at that.

Yeah I know, I’m real late getting into Harry Potter. I never got into Harry Potter when the books started coming out and I never saw the movies when they first came out either. I just got into Harry Potter. The story of Harry trying to get revenge on Voldermort for his murdered parents is really powerful stuff. Plus, Voldermort is possibly one of the greatest villains ever created, in my opinion. Voldermort was more evil than Darth Vader, I think.

So if you’re not a Harry Potter fan, I would suggest you to get into it. If you like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, or the Terminator franchises, you would like Harry Potter. One warning though, you need to read the books and see the movies in order. If you see, “The Deathly Hollows part 2” in theater, you’ll never know what’s going on, so catch up before the new movie comes out like I did.

Harry Potter is awesome and I’m glad I got into the series. Thanks, J.K. Rowling for her work.

BREAKING NEWS: Leonard Nimoy will voice Sentinel Prime for “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”…

Well, so much for retirement. Leonard Nimoy is going back to work again. Leonard haven’t done any work in the entertainment business since his last appearance on the TV show, “Fringe”, which he did last year. Then he announced retirement.

His retirement didn’t last too long because he is ready to come out of it. Yes, already. Leonard is set to do voice work for Sentinel Prime, for “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”. Paramount and Michael Bay already filmed the movie, the voice for Sentinel Prime is the last thing that needed to be done.

It really does seem that Leonard is out of retirement this soon, because Michael Bay said in this article, that Leonard is “Glad to be back“.

Well Mr. Spock, what made you decide to change your mind about retirement this soon? I bet Will Shatner talked him out of retirement. Leonard doesn’t need to do this for money because he’s already loaded with money from his past work in his career. I think he came back because he missed the work and missed his fans.

I’m glad that he came back to acting. Maybe he’s doing voice over work from this point on?
