Next Texas Chainsaw movie to be a road movie…

This is an intriguing idea. The next Texas Chainsaw movie maybe taken place out on the road instead of the same old house where it’s usually taken place at. In every Texas Chainsaw movie we’ve seen, they were all pretty much taken place at that creepy old house. Look like the next one will be a little more different. It will chronicle the events of Jackson Sawyer’s teen years and it will show you how he became Leatherface.

I know all these “Texas Chainsaw” prequels and origin stories are getting annoying but keep in mind making a “good” Texas Chainsaw movie is hard to make. It’s a pretty hard story to tell for sure.

I’ve seen all the movies but the original will always be a classic and masterpiece.

More on Melissa McCarthy in new “Ghostbusters”…

I haven’t seen too many movies with Melissa McCarthy over the years except the only one I’ve seen with her in it are the two Charlie’s Angels films that she appeared in and “Identity Thief” (which was pretty good actually). I’ve never seen “Bridesmaids”, “The Heat”, “Tammy” or “Spy” yet but I’m gonna check those movies out as I have them on Netflix DVD rental Que.

Before I watch the new “Ghostbusters”, I figure it’s a good idea to watch all the Melissa McCarthy & Paul Feig films: “Bridesmaids”, “The Heat” and “Spy” so I can get an idea of what the new “Ghostbusters” film is gonna be like.

I should get an idea of what Paul Feig’s filming style is like before I watch the new “Ghostbusters” and I want to see how he works with Melissa McCarthy. So after I see their three films, I’ll review my thoughts.

I suggest everyone to do the same before slamming the new “Ghostbusters”, ya know? You might see how well they work together. I’m gonna watch “Bridesmaids”, “The Heat” and “Spy” so I can see why Sony wanted Paul Feig to direct the new Ghostbusters.

Those picking on Paul Feig for directing the new “Ghostbusters” probably never seen his previous films. I stand with Paul Feig on “Ghostbusters” and I have total faith in him now. I think he’s gonna make a great “Ghostbusters” film and I think he will make fans happy. People maybe skeptical now but give it time, I predict people will end up loving it once the actual movie comes out. I’m looking forward to it.

Video: Check out the final 007 “Spectre” trailer, it’s badass!

This film does look amazing and I can’t wait to see it. The question is will, “Spectre” top “Skyfall”? I don’t know, we’ll see.

Since it’s almost at the end of the year, there’s about 6 or 7 movies I want to see for the rest of the year. What are they? Those films are:

  • The Martian (which I will see sometime next week)
  • Steve Jobs
  • Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension
  • Spectre
  • The Hunger Games: Mockinjay part 2
  • Star Wars: The Force Awakens
  • The Hateful Eight

I’m definitely gonna try to see all those.

Video: Christopher Lloyd reprises his role as Doc Brown for advertisement promoting new BTTF set…

Christopher Lloyd maybe 76 years old now but he still kills it as Doc Brown. Ya know, like most people I wish there could be a Back to The Future – Part 4 ’cause I agree there should be one more. I can understand why it won’t happen ’cause of the story and all that but hey. It’s called “creative writing” for a reason, ya know? BTTF series is science fiction and with sci-fi you can come up with anything. I think a BTTF 4 could work ’cause you can always come up with a story for it.

Anyway, I know a BTTF 4 will never happen now ’cause obviously, Michael J. Fox still has Parkinson’s Disease. Even though Michael still acts in films and TV shows here and there, I think he’s done with leading roles in big Hollywood films ’cause his body can’t take that kiind of work. That’s why he’s been working smaller roles a lot.

Ya know, an interesting idea for BTTF 4 is that Doc Brown could be the lead and Marty McFly could have a smaller role. I doubt they’ll go for that idea but it’s a start.

I’m a huge fan of the BTTF trilogy myself but the first one will always be a classic. I love the first film so much.

Paul Feig confirms Sigourney Weaver is returning as Dana Barrett but what about Louis Tully???

Look like the original cast from the first two “Ghostbusters” will all be making cameos in the new all-female “Ghostbusters” film. Paul Feig, the director just dropped the big news that Sigourney Weaver will be reprising her role as Dana Barrett. Did Peter Venkman and Dana finally get married this time? It’ll be cool if that’s what they’re going for.

What about Louis Tully will he make a cameo too? Was Paul Feig successful at getting Rick Moranis out of retirement for this film? It could be possible but we’ll wait and see. Hopefully he did get Rick back. There can’t be a Dana Barrett without Louis Tully! Would be awesome to see Louis back.

Paul Feig was able to get Annie Potts back so that’s another hint that he maybe successful at getting Rick back:

Rick is probably coming back and it would be funny to see Louis return.

Btw, I love Paul’s response to the haters of this movie:

Happy birthday Christopher Reeve, who would have been 63 right now…

I remember being bummed about Christopher Reeve’s passing ’cause he is one of my favorite actors and he played the best Superman. Plus, the guy is a huge inspiration for me after he had his horse accident. The guy was very brave and courageous to stay alive for his wife and kids until he couldn’t be with us anymore sadly. This guy was a fighter ’til the very end. He was inspiration for all that activism work he did for other people with spinal chord injuries. He was quite a man he was.

Yes, I love all 4 Superman films even “The Quest For Peace” was a good movie even though that film could have a better script and better filming. I’m a pretty big fan of Reeve as Superman and I proudly own the Superman “Motion Picture Anthology” Blu-Ray set.

The question you have to ask is if Chris was still alive would he have played Superman again if he didn’t have that horse accident at all? I don’t think so. I think he would have been done playing the character even if he didn’t have that horse accident. I would think he would have retired from the character due to aging and stuff, ya know? If Chris was still here, I’m sure he would have loved “Man of Steel” by Zack Snyder and I’m sure he would have been proud of all this Justice League stuff going on.

Apparently, “Star Wars: Episode 8” is already filming and looks like Luke Skywalker will be involved…

Looks like Rian Johnson has already started filming “Star Wars: Episode 8” and it looks like Luke Skywalker will be involved in Episode 7, 8 and 9 after all! AICN gave us a cool pic of Mark Hamill hanging out at a bar with crew mates during a break from filming and as you can see you see a clean shaven Mark Hamill. As you can see Mark’s hair is kind of long so Luke Skywalker can look kind of young. Look like Mark Hamill is gonna be involved throughout the new trilogy. They didn’t confirm whether or not Mark will be involved in 8 but looking at this pic in the link below, it looks like Mark is involved.

http://www.aintitcool.com/node/73103

The question is will Harrison Ford still be involved in 8 and 9? Probably not. I predict that “The Force Awakens” film will be the final time you will see Han Solo ’cause I’m still predicting that they’re gonna kill him off in that film. Han Solo sacrifices himself to save his friends is what they’re going for probably.

I so can’t wait for “The Force Awakens”, though. It’s only a couple of months away.

Paul Feig announces that all-female “Ghostbusters” is all done filming, expect a trailer real soon!

Now filming of the all-female “Ghostbusters” has officially wrapped, you can expect them to put together a trailer soon. They may have finished all the scenes in the movie but they still have plenty of production work to do. They still need to add in all the CGI special effects as I’m sure there will be plenty of that, they need to add in all the ghosts and they need to record the musical score for the film.

As you see in the photo above that is Ernie Hudson aka Winston Zeddemore which he looks to be filming a scene with Leslie Jones. It looks like the three surviving original Ghostbusters will be in the film after all: Bill, Dan and Ernie… however, though, will Harold Ramis still be in the movie in some form? Will Egon make a cameo as a ghost? EIther way, I think Egon will get brought up in the film somehow ’cause they’re gonna wanna pay a tribute to Harold. I think it’ll be pretty cool if Egon would appear as a ghost.

I predict when the trailer comes out, I think more people will like it. I’m looking forward to seeing the trailer. Bring it on!

Film Review: “Black Mass”…

Starring: Johnny Depp, Joel Edgerton, Kevin Bacon, Dakota Johnson, Corey Stoll

Directed by: Scott Cooper

So I decided to hit the mail today to see the Whitey Bulger biopic, “Black Mass” starring Johnny Depp and here is my review.

Plot/Synopsis: John Connolly and James “Whitey” Bulger grew up together on the streets of South Boston. Decades later, in the late 1970s, they would meet again. By then, Connolly was a major figure in the FBI’s Boston office and Whitey had become godfather of the Irish Mob. What happened between them – a dirty deal to trade secrets and take down Boston’s Italian Mafia in the process – would spiral out of control, leading to murders, drug dealing, racketeering indictments, and, ultimately, to Bulger making the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List.

So far, I think this is one of the best films of this year. Another film I was pretty impressed with. This film seemed pretty accurate on the Whitey Bulger story. Honestly, I never knew who Whitey Bulger was until he was caught and finally arrested back in 2011. It was all over the news so I decided to research the guy to learn more about him. Read some stuff about him on the internet and saw a few documentaries on TV. The Whitey Bulger story is interesting and if you compare Johnny Depp to the real Whitey Bulger, you can see the resemblance. They look almost exactly like each other so Johnny Depp is obviously the perfect choice for the role. Johnny killed it with his acting in this role like he always does but I thought this was Johnny’s best role in a long while.

The rest of the casting was great. Everybody else did a great job in their acting too. Remember Corey Stoll from the first season of “House of Cards”? There was another former TV star who had a role in this movie, Jesse Plemons who is famous for his role in the hit TV show, “Friday Night Lights”. Kevin Bacon rules as always.

The movie was fun and entertaining all the way through. I wasn’t bored one bit. The movie can get pretty violent and gritty at times but that’s what makes the movie works. In real life, Whitey Bulger was a man with a violent temper so the movie had to be that way to show who Whitey was. Whitey didn’t kill people at random, though. He only killed people who talked too much about what he does and who he is ’cause he tries his best to keep his crimes off the public and off the media. That’s how he got away with what he did for so long.

The Whitey Bulger story is interesting though and some of you may or may not know that I have a huge interest in mob stories whether they’re fiction or nonfiction. I love mob movies and mob TV shows. It’s just interesting stuff to me. I try to see all the mob movies as much as I can ’cause I love ’em. I’d say “Black Mass” was one of the best mob movies I’ve seen in over a decade. The writing was really good too plus the musical score? O man… the music score is what made the movie work.

Could this movie land Johnny Depp an Oscar nomination? I don’t know… the Oscars have never been that friendly with violent movies over the years but I think Depp deserves a nomination ’cause that was some damn good acting.

“Black Mass” was absolutely amazing. Definitely check this one out!

Score for “Black Mass” = **** 4 stars as in “excellent”

The movie “Unfriended” is probably the most realistic horror film ever!!!

Last night, I finally got around to watching the horror film, “Unfriended” which came out earlier this year. I must say that I was pretty surprised with it.

Check it out:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3713166/

The movie turned out really great and it really was creepy & disturbing. The movie was pretty realistic too. Yes, the online world can be a very scary place to be as you can get harassed by anonymous people, cyberbullied and even worse… cyberbullies can drive you into committing suicide. Yes, there have been plenty of kids who have committed suicide ’cause other cyberbullies told them to. These things can really happen in the real world.

Even though this movie is purely fictional, the movie is surprisingly realistic and the writing of the movie was actually good and pretty smart.

It’s a good revenge story too, that’s what it is. This movie is recommended if you haven’t seen it yet.
