Re-watched the 6 original “Star Trek” movies last week in honor of Leonard…

All last week, I’ve been re-watching the 6 original “Star Trek” movies with the original cast. I wanted to re-watched the first 6 Star Trek movies in honor of Leonard as a way to celebrate his career in Star Trek. Yep, I re-watched the first 6 Star Trek films: “Star Trek: The Motion Picture”, “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan”, “Star Trek III: The Search For Spock”, “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home”, “Star Trek V: The Final Frontier” and “Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country”.

I’ve seen all these movies so many times over the years but it was good to watch ’em all again. I love all of these movies except for “Star Trek V: The Final Frontier” which was the only one that I thought was pretty much garbage. Bad plot. Bad writing. Bad directing. William Shatner directed that one himself too. I also thought this whole story between Cpt. Kirk vs. God was pretty wacky.

I also still say that “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” and “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home” were the best of the series.

It was great to re-watch these movies again, though.

First look at Battle Cat for new “Masters of the Universe” movie…

Pretty cool. This is Battle Cat. This is the pet tiger that wears armor and the animal that He-Man rides in the cartoon series and action figures. This will be for the new “Masters of the Universe” film. The armor on the cat is pretty similar to the one from the cartoon series.

I’m a huge fan of the “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” cartoon and still am. Used to watch it obsessively when I was a kid and I used to collect all the action figures.

I even loved Dolph Lundgren’s version of the “Masters of the Universe” live action movie. The Dolph version wasn’t successful and didn’t get positive reviews but I thought it was a good He-Man movie. It was fun to watch and the action scenes in that film were awesome. Even though Dolph himself never liked his He-Man character, I thought he made the perfect He-Man. I also loved Frank Langella as “Skeletor”. I was hoping a sequel to that movie will happen but it never did.

Dolph would obviously be too old to be playing He-Man again and he said himself that he will never play that role again but still I can see him getting a different role in the new He-Man movie, though. Maybe a Dolph cameo will be cool too. Maybe Dolph can even play Skeletor, who knows.

Anyway, my choices for the new He-Man would be: Chris Hemsworth, Jason Momoa and Henry Cavill maybe? The new He-man is probably gonna be young and muscular.

Skeletor is probably still gonna be the main villain and I’m sure they will bring all the other main characters back such as Man-At-Arms, Teela, The Beastman, Evil Lynn and I’m sure they will bring in new characters. Also, who’s gonna be playing the new Sorceress of Grayskull?

I’m looking forward to the new He-Man movie and I hope the next movie will be taken place on planet Eternia throughout the whole film instead of planet Earth.

Sylvester Stallone breaks up heated fight on the set of “Creed” and of course, successful in stopping it…

A huge fight broke out between actor/pro boxer Tony Bellew who plays the character, Pretty Ricky and another actor — when things got really heated, Sly of course had to jump in. A source said that Sly started screaming and ordering it to stop. Of course, they did.

More on the story here:

http://pagesix.com/2015/03/02/brawl-on-the-set-of-stallones-new-rocky-movie/

So Sly the peacemaker. No surprise there. That’s what you get when you have a real life pro boxer on a movie set, you’ll have to deal with a lot of egos. They were quick at stopping the fight when Sly jumped in ’cause why? Well, he’s Sylvester Stallone for one. A legend. Plus, Sly is a huge guy, muscular and ripped. I’m sure the two guys shut their mouths real fast when Sly showed up. You don’t mess with Sly.

Something tells me Sly have done this before on movie sets… stopping fights so this is nothing new with him, I’m sure.

Spielberg still baiting for Oscars??? He’s gonna team up with Jennifer Lawrence for Lynsey Addario biopic film…

Hmmmm, I guess Spielberg decided not to direct “American Sniper” ’cause he felt the film was too conservative for him so he would rather do something more liberal like the Lynsey Addario story. Lynsey Addario is a photo journalist who mostly focuses on human rights and does stuff about women from other countries… that sort of stuff. It’ll be based upon Lynsey’s book, “It’s What I Do”. Look like Jennifer Lawrence is gonna play Lynsey for the film.

Jennifer Lawrence, Steven Spielberg & Warner Bros Land War Photog Memoir ‘It’s What I Do’

Spielberg’s been doing political and history films for too long. I miss the old days when he was making genius films like Indiana Jones, E.T., Close Encounters, etc. I wish he would get back to all that. Make films for family. He still does make family films once in a while like “Adventures of Tin Tin”, “The Terminal” and “War of The Worlds” but that’s about it.

I do respect him as a film maker and all ’cause he’s a legend but I wish he would stop baiting for Oscars.

Forget the movie, “Chappie”… Here’s my top 10 movies about Robots…

The movie “Chappie” comes out this weekend and honestly, I’m not that excited about the movie, it doesn’t look good to me. There are other movies about robots out there and better ones too!

Here is a top ten list of Robot movies:

  • Terminator 1 & 2: I love all the “Terminator” movies but the first two will always be the best ones. Both of them are classics.
  • Robocop (1987): The original Robocop with Peter Weller is a classic robot movie. The original is one of my favorites of all time!
  • Short Circuit (1986): A classic film starring Steve Guttenburg and Ally Sheedy. Remember this movie yeah?
  • Forbidden Planet (1956): Can’t forget this sci-fi classic!
  • Artificial Intelligence: Haley Joel Osment and Steven Spielberg. Great film.
  • Metropolis (1927): Silent movies maybe boring to you but this is another one of my favorite sci fi films. This film is a masterpiece.
  • Cyborg: Another good 80’s sci-fi action adventure starring Jean Claude Van Damme. This one is streamable for Netflix if you wanna check it out.
  • Prometheus: The Ridley Scott directed Alien prequel is about David the android. I thought this was a beautiful film and looking forward to the sequel.
  • Blade Runner: This movie is about Rick Deckard trying to track down four robots so this movie counts.
  • Interstellar : Yes, the Christopher Nolan sci-fi epic has a robot in it and it’s name is TARS. It’s the coolest robot, in my opinion.

Enjoy!

Movies based on video games might soon take over the movie industry…

Over the years in the movie industry there haven’t been too many movies that were adapted from video games. There have been some live-action movies based on video games but not enough.

I believe the very first live action video game movie was “Super Mario Bros.” that starred Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo. Then comes other video game adapted movies such as “Double Dragon”, “Street Fighter”, “Mortal Kombat”, the two “Tomb Raider” movies with Angelina, the Resident Evil franchise, and that’s probably about all.

Well I think you can safely say that “Movies” based upon video games is about ready to take over the industry big time. Over the years we had superhero flicks taking over but I think the superhero industry will die out and movies based on video games will become the next big thing.

Lets look at all the upcoming movies based on video games coming out in the future… we have: “World Of Warcraft” by Sam Raimi, there’s “Heavenly Sword”, the Tomb Raider reboot, The Last of Us, Assassins Creed, Metal Gear Solid, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Mass Effect, Heavy Rain and there’s even a “Sonic The Hedgehog” movie in development.

Yep, video game movies are definitely on it’s way and it’s gonna be big. I’m glad this is happening ’cause as some of you know, I’m a pretty big video gamer myself. I’m not a video game addict like most people… it’s just what I do when I’m really bored. I didn’t get a PS4 system yet but planning on getting one sometime down the road.

Harrison Ford confirmed to reprise his role as Rick Deckard for “Blade Runner” sequel but Ridley Scott will not direct…

For many years now, Ridley Scott have been talking about developing a sequel to “Blade Runner” and looks like it’s happening for real. Harrison finally signed on to reprise his role for the sequel but Ridley Scott will not be directing. Instead, Denis Villeneuve will helm the sequel.

Denis Villeneuve to Direct Blade Runner Sequel, Harrison Ford Confirmed!

Pretty cool. I’m a huge fan of the “Blade Runner” movie so I’m looking forward to this. Harrison playing an aging, Rick Deckard? I’m gonna have to re-watch the “Blade Runner” movie again. I have it on DVD.

Wonder why Ridley couldn’t direct this one himself? He probably has a lot on his plate. Ridley still needs to develop the “Prometheus” sequel and that’s part of the reason why.

Neill Blomkamp’s “Alien” film may take place after “Aliens” (Alien 2), yes, this film will be for Sigourney to return as Ripley…

Neill Blomkamp gave us some pretty exciting news that his Alien film may take place after the second one which was directed by James Cameron. This film is gonna completely ignore “Alien III” and “Alien: Resurrection”. Blomkamp’s Alien film will be written for Sigourney to return as Ripley but it’s supposed to be a proper ending to that character so I take it they’re planning on killing Ripley off? HA! Way to give it away a little early, right?

Anyway, I’m looking forward to this film ’cause I’m such a huge fan of the Alien franchise.

Rooney Mara claims David Fincher’s “Dragon Tattoo” trilogy is dead but that’s according to her, though…

We haven’t seen a sequel of David Fincher’s “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” based upon the book by Stieg Larsson and we finally got a new update of what’s going on with the film’s sequel, “The Girl Who Played With Fire”.

Rooney Mara spoke about the film toward E! TV and she claims the sequel isn’t going to happen and she thinks she will never play the role of Lisbeth Salander ever again. This is according to her, though.

Even though she says it might not happen, Fincher said it might ’cause Sony just spent millions on the rights and the script.

http://www.slashfilm.com/dragon-tattoo-sequel/

Over the last few years since Fincher hasn’t made a sequel yet, he kept himself busy with the “House of Cards” TV show for Netflix and he also made the film, “Gone Girl”. After “Gone Girl”, he’s gonna keep himself even busier ’cause he’s been signed to make a TV show for HBO called, “Utopia” so don’t expect a new David Fincher movie in the theaters anytime soon.

http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Don-t-Expect-David-Fincher-Movie-Anytime-Soon-Here-Why-67452.html

So if David Fincher makes the “Girl Who Played With Fire”, we probably won’t see it in a few years or longer.

We’ll have to wait and see, though. I hope Fincher will find some time to develop, “Girl Who Played With Fire” ’cause Daniel Craig is getting older and Rooney might lose interest in playing the role so I hope he makes it soon.

I really loved Fincher’s version of “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”, the American version ’cause it was pretty close to the book. I think the French version pretty much sucked… wasn’t faithful to the book at all.

Lets hope Rooney is wrong and hope the film will happen. I say never say never!!!!!!!! Keep fingers crossed for now!

The new Pee Wee film produced by Judd Apatow to be titled, “Pee Wee’s Big Holiday”…

More details have been revealed for the upcoming new Pee Wee film which will be exclusively released for Netflix streaming. The new Pee Wee film will be titled, “Pee Wee’s Big Holiday”. The movie will be about Pee Wee having a fateful meeting with a mysterious stranger that inspires him to take his first Holiday.

The film will be directed by John Lee and the script was written by Paul Reubens himself and Paul Rust. The crew plans to start shooting in March.

BOWTIE IS THE NEW BLACK: ‘Pee-wee’s Big Holiday’ To Premiere On Netflix!

As a big Pee Wee fan myself, I’m really looking forward to it. As a matter of fact, I just re-watched, “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure” and “Big Top Pee Wee” on Netflix streaming not too long ago. Even though “Big Top Pee Wee” got mostly negative reviews, I still liked the film. Not bad as people made it out to be. I liked, “Big Top Pee Wee” ’cause it was different. In “Big Top Pee Wee”, he’s a farmer, scientist, circus performer and womanizer! “Big Top Pee Wee” is also a love story so it was different than “Big Adventure”. I plan on watching “Pee Wee’s Playhouse” on Netflix too.

I’m looking forward to “Pee Wee’s Big Holiday”, sounds like it’s aiming toward the “Big Adventure” feel which is cool!

In the new Pee Wee film, I hope we see some familiar faces and interesting cameos. Would be cool to see E.G. Daily back as Dottie and hopefully Mark Holton returns as Francis too! We’ll have to wait and see.

Can’t wait for “Pee Wee’s Big Holiday”!!!!
