Report: Is Jimmy Page teasing musical comeback finally???

Jimmy Page hasn’t done anything new musically since the Led Zeppelin reunion at O2 in England, 4 years ago. After the reunion show, Jimmy tried to make a full time Led Zeppelin tour. Jimmy, Jonesy and Jason were down with the tour but Robert wasn’t. Robert was being a pain in the ass about it and vowed not to do it since he claimed he’s getting too old for the rock n’ roll thing. So the guys in Led Zep ended up scraping the tour. Jonesy collaborated with Them Crooked Vultures super group and Jason moved on to other musical projects. So now, everyone is asking, what’s next for Jimmy Page?

Is Jimmy finally out of his musical hiatus and making a comeback?

Jimmy Page just launched his official website: here….

Not much on there, it’s just a countdown thing. 8 days left with the Roman Numerals and the Hourglass, which means the full website will be unveiled next Thursday, July 14th.

What will Jimmy unveil on that website? Will he announce a new solo album? That’s what it’s looking like to me. I’m hoping a new album and tour. We need new music from Jimmy Page. He’s one of my favorite guitarists, my no. 1 guitar hero. He’s the reason I play.

I just hope he won’t be announcing Led Zeppelin re-issues or boxed sets. I hope a new solo album with new original music by Jimmy Page!!! Will Jimmy’s new solo album will be all instrumental or will he be working with different singers?

We’ll have to wait until next week. Can’t wait. It’s about time he’s coming back to music. I think he’s ready to rock out again!!!

It’s been 40 years since we lost the Lizard King, Jim Morrison!

Jim Morrison was found dead in a bathtub at his apartment in Paris, France, by his girlfriend Pamela Courson, 40 years ago. He maybe gone but his legacy still lives on. Like most people, I love the Doors as well. Always had. They are one of my favorite classic rock bands of all time. RIP Jim, where ever you are.

Report: Bruce Dickinson, singer of Iron Madien takes shots at Metallica…

Metallica may have already buried the hatchet with Megadeth, but it seems that Iron Maiden still has a grudge against Metallica. In an interview with Metal Hammer magazine, Bruce Dickinson admitted he got a backlash for saying Iron Maiden is better than Metallica, but instead of being apologetic, he continued to slam Metallica even more.

Read what Bruce have to say, here.

While I’m sure the Metallica haters would agree and the Iron Maiden haters would disagree, I’m going to side with Metallica on this one. Hell, I fucking LOVE Iron Maiden! I’ve been listening to Maiden for years and even have a few of their albums on my Ipod. While I love the band, I think Bruce Dickinson is nothing but an egotistical asshole. This isn’t the first time Bruce took shots at Metallica publicly in interviews, he’s done it many times before.

On top of that, Iron Maiden has had a long feud with Ozzy & Sharon for years.

As far as Bruce slamming Metallica goes, I think Bruce is jealous that Metallica is more mainstream than them. Plus, Iron Maiden could be mad that they weren’t asked to play on “The Big 4” shows. I don’t think Metallica and Iron Maiden ever toured before. I can see why James Hetfield wouldn’t play with Maiden.

While Metallica isn’t for everybody, people shouldn’t hate on them. They’re good guys. They respect other bands and all they want to do is play their music for the fans.

I hate those kind of bands that think they are better than other bands. Like I said before, you need to leave your ego out the door and let the people do the talking. Thinking yourself as a “better” or “more” talented musician, just makes you look like an ass. That’s what Bruce is, an ass. I’m pretty sure that the boys in Metallica are all Iron Maiden fans as well, so what Bruce is doing to them is pretty disrespectful.

I’m sure we’ll get a response from James Hetfield soon, so I can’t wait to hear his thoughts.

Report: Tom Petty to Michele Bachman, “Ummmm, maybe you should ask me first before you use my song.”

Remember Jackson Browne sued John McCain for using “Running On Empty” at the rallies without permission? Well, it’s de ja vu all over again. Presidential 2012 hopeful, Michele Bachman just received “Cease and Desist” letter from Tom Petty’s lawyers, ordering her to stop using his song, “American Girl” at her rallies.

More on the story, here.

When will people respect copyright and understand it?

Remembering Michael Jackson…

Like most people, I was mostly into old school MJ. The Jackson 5 and his earlier solo career. I thought Michael Jackson’s best albums were “Off the Wall”, “Thriller”, and “Dangerous”.

Yes, everyone is going to call him a crazy whack job and a pedophile like always, but despite all that, you can’t deny that he was a talented musician, a great artist, and a great entertainer. You also can’t deny the legacy he created with the music business. He may have been controversial, but there was something special about him.

I feel that he is gone too soon. The world wasn’t ready to let Michael Jackson go yet. He was a childhood hero of mine. Used to watch his videos all the time on MTV when I was a kid and would play his records to death.

I know this is a day late, so I decided to get around to it now. Michael Jackson may have died two years ago, but when it comes to him, it feels like he just died yesterday. I wish Michael Jackson was still here today.

If he was, I’m sure he would have finished the “This Is It” tour and release a new album that he planned on doing before. He may have had his problems, but the guy was great. Always has been.

Report: Kim Thayil says the new Soundgarden album is “definitely really heavy”!!!

Soundgarden is currently in the studio recording their new album. Fans worried what direction the band is going to take their new music to. Fans assumed that the new album might be mainstream pop, similar to the “Black Hole Sun” and “Burden In My Hand” era. Even worse, fans were also worried that Soundgarden is going to go pop because of Chris Cornell’s solo career with American Idol and all that stuff.

Well, guys, there’s nothing to worry about. Kim Thayill says the new Soundgarden songs are “definitely really heavy”. They also said they are going back to their old roots. Going back to what they sounded like in the old days of Soundgarden.

Read more on it, here.

I’m glad they are giving what the fans want, heavy rock music. That’s what Soundgarden is supposed to be and now I can’t wait for the new album!

BREAKING NEWS: Metallica collaborates on new album with Lou Reed!!!

Metallica have been pretty secretive about their new album for a long while, and now I can see why! Metallica revealed the huge news today that the band has collaborated to make their new album with the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Lou Reed!!! Lou collaborated on the whole album with Metallica, not just one or two songs. For you doubters out there who don’t believe it, Metallica posted pics of the band in the studio with Lou just so they can show you that they are not making it up!

Read it on the band’s website, here.

I have a feeling there may be at least one Lou Reed cover song on the new album. Wouldn’t surprise me. Looking forward to it now.

Cool Video: In honor of Clarence Clemons…

Sad news about Clarence Clemons but I’m sure he’ll recover quickly. While I’m a big fan of Bruce Springsteen’s music, everyone knows that Clarence Clemons is the only member worth paying attention to in the E Street Band. In my opinion, he’s the only true E Street Band member who is most recognizable than the others.

Little Steven Van Zandt, Patty Scialfa and Max Weinberg maybe well known members as well, but Clarence is the superstar of them all.

It’s Clarence’s amazing sax playing is what makes “The E Street Band”. If Clarence dies, then the E Street Band wouldn’t be the same without him.

Report: Young Woman found dead at Bonnaroo festival, heat could have caused death…

Big music festivals like Bonnaroo, Coachella, Lollapalooza, etc., maybe fun to go to but I never go to any of them. Why? Because simple reasons like this report here.

No offense to anyone who enjoy going to big music festivals but sometimes they can be very dangerous to go to. That’s what a lot of people fail to think. A lot of people at festivals suffered serious injuries or even death. While I do love live music, I would stay away from these big festivals. I don’t like the huge crowds. I’ve never been to any of those big festivals.

How can those festivals be dangerous? Well, the heat for one thing. You don’t have enough water, you’re in trouble. Plus, the mosh pits, possible riots. People could offer you dangerous drugs when you don’t even know what you’re taking. Even fights with other kids at the shows. Festivals can be dangerous for a lot of reasons.

RIP to that poor woman. Her family must be devastated.
