Report: Amy Winehouse turns herself into rehab again…

Amy Winehouse, the UK pop star, has turned herself into rehab once again. She wants to sober up for her upcoming European tour this summer.

TMZ, reports.

Some people find it weird but I fucking love Amy Winehouse. I love her music. I wish she would go back in the studio to record a new album, because she hasn’t done a new one since “Back to Black”. I hope her rehab goes well, ’cause I have this feeling it won’t. She might have to cancel her shows in Europe if she doesn’t get well.

Cool Video: Crosby, Nash and Neil Young reunion??? Well, sort of…

On Jimmy Fallon last night there was some kind of CSNY reunion. Jimmy Fallon was playing as Neil Young again singing a song called, “Party In the USA”. Out comes surprise special guest singers: Graham Nash and David Crosby. Yes, the real Graham Nash and David Crosby, not played by actors. This was a killer performance. Nash and Crosby great singers like usual. The only one who didn’t come out was obviously, Stephen Stills.

What’s with all the Jimmy Fallon performing as Neil Young for? I think it’s an obvious hint that the real Neil Young himself will go on the show to sing with Jimmy Fallon. It’s gonna happen at some point, just give it time, folks.

Jimmy Fallon “Late Night” has been on NBC for a long while now. He’s been having so many legendary acts perform on the show everyone from Bruce Springsteen to Megadeth. The real Neil Young haven’t performed on Jimmy Fallon yet. It’s coming, I’m sure.

See the video, here.

BREAKING NEWS: Silverchair calls it quits for now…

The Australian rock band, Silverchair, announced on their official website today, that the band is calling it quits after 20 years of being together. They have been a band since they were 12 year old kids. They first got a record deal after winning a demo competition on a TV show called, “Nomad”. They recorded their winning demo with a song called, “Tomorrow”, which that song became a huge hit in the United States. The song made the band mainstream. The band announced they are on “indefinite hibernation”, meaning that they are not actually broken up for good, they will take a long hiatus from the music business.

The band only released 5 albums in their career, and I thought they were one of the good mainstream rock bands. I thought their albums, “Frogstomp” and “Freak Show” were the best. I was huge fans of these guys.

5 Rock Musicians that need to write their own memoirs…

With all these rock musicians like Ozzy, Sammy Hagar, Nikki Sixx, Brian Johnson of Ac/Dc, Tommy James of the Shondells, Dave Mustaine, Eric Clapton, Billy Corgan, and Pete Townshend doing their own memoirs, what are some other musicians that need to do their own memoir? Musicians who haven’t written a book yet. Billy Idol already has one coming out soon, so no need to list him. Billy Joel was going to do one but he canceled the project, so no need to list him either.

I can think of 5 at the top of my head…

  • Jimmy Page – He just released a giant photo book which will cost $300 or more, but I want a more appropriate Jimmy Page book. I would like him to write one where he talks about his history and how he started Zeppelin, all that stuff. I think he’ll make an interesting book. There is a Led Zeppelin biography titled, “Hammer of the Gods” but it wasn’t written by the band. I want one written by Jimmy Page himself. He needs to do one.
  • James Hetfield – It would be great if the Metallica frontman did an autobiography. I think he could do one someday whenever Metallica takes another break from music. Imagine the stories he would tell with this book if he did one.
  • Neil Young – I really want Neil to do one. He would tell some interesting stories in his life and music career. He has been releasing books through his “Greendale” stuff lately so maybe he will do one someday.
  • Eddie Vedder – Eddie can do some very interesting interviews on TV and interviews for magazines. I think he can tell some good stories with his life, Pearl Jam and other musical projects. If Eddie ever did one, he would talk a lot of politics for sure.
  • Dave Grohl – I really would like Dave to do one so he can go into more insight about Nirvana’s career and talk more about Kurt. I’m sure he would talk a lot about the Foo Fighters, of course, but I want to hear his stories about Nirvana. Lets hope he’ll do one someday.

That’s it. Enjoy the list.

Report: Pete Townshend of the Who, joins the rock memoir bandwagon…

First Billy Corgan and now Pete Townshend, the rhythm guitarist for the Who, is now writing his autobiography. It doesn’t have a title yet, but it is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2012.

More on it, here.

I know Pete Townshend is not everyone’s favorite musician anymore because of his past with the law (his child porn case years back), but I think people should read this book to understand him better. I don’t think he’s a pedophile. What he did was research for this memoir ’cause something bad happen in his past that I think he wants to explain in this book.

I’m a huge fan of the Who. They are the most underrated classic rock band. Loved the Who for years, ever since I was a child. I’ve always been a fan of Pete’s guitar playing.

When Harper Collins release this, I’m pretty sure child organizations are going to try to stop them from publishing it, just like they tried to stop the NFL from booking them to play the Superbowl that one year.

I’ll probably buy the book when it comes out ’cause I’m more interested in reading about the Who’s music career.

Report: Paul McCartney planning covers album and original hard rock album in 2012!!!

Paul McCartney hasn’t released a new studio album since 2007’s, “Memory Almost Full”. You don’t have to wait any longer for new music by Paul McCartney because he has two new studio albums planned for the year 2012. The first album he plans on doing is a cover song album. He will collaborate on that album with jazz singer, Diana Krall. Paul plans on recording the covers album early next year.

Paul’s second album planned, is that he plans on recording a hard rock album. Yes, you heard that right. Paul wants to do a Foo Fighter’s inspired, hard rock album.

Read more on the story, here.

Many of you would find Paul’s idea of doing a hard rock album kind of silly and you may think he can’t do it. If you think about it, Paul’s music with his solo career and the Beatles have always been hard rock. He’s also a hard rock singer. You may not agree with it but it’s true. The Beatles have helped launched the careers of many of today’s metal bands including Black Sabbath and Metallica. Plus, Guns N’ Roses covered “Live and Let Die”, a song that Paul wrote for the Wings album.

I think Paul would nail a hard rock album with no problem at all. I think he’ll be successful at it. Paul singing over heavy distorted down tuned guitars? I’m sure he can do it. Paul’s solo music have always been tight, that kind of had a metal edge to it. Think about it.

Report: Billy Corgan writing autobiography…

There have been quite a lot of rock musicians writing their own autobiography books these days. Billy Corgan is about to join that bandwagon. Billy is writing a book titled, “Spiritual” which will focus on the history of the Smashing Pumpkins and his personal life.

Read more on it, here.

As a Smashing Pumpkins fan, I’ll be sure to read this one. I’m interested in learning about the Smashing Pumpkins history more than his personal life. Did Billy actually have a personal life? You always wondered that because he never had much women in his life from what I remember. He dated Courtney Love briefly but that was about it. There were rumors of him dating Jessica Simpson but both of them shot the rumors down last year. I’m sure he’ll be open about the Jessica Simpson friendship in the book too.

This book is going to be an interesting read for sure.
