Billy Corgan is under fire for flip flopping on reunion tours/greatest hits shows and excluding D’arcy from the group… bullshit…

Well Billy Corgan is getting attacked everywhere on the internet since the Smashing Pumpkins reunion has been announced. Even the press have been attacking him too. Why are a lot of people attacking him? Well like the title of this post says, he’s being attacked ’cause he flipped his feelings on reunions/greatest hits shows, and he is also being attacked for excluding D’arcy from the original lineup.

In the past, Billy used to have negative feelings on reunion tours and greatest hits shows ’cause he never wanted the Pumpkins to be a nostalgia act.

So let me get this straight… fans of the Pumpkins have begged Billy to bring back the original Pumpkins lineup for years. Billy actually listened to the fans and gave them what they wanted and now they are hating?

I’m reading about this through the press and I’ve read the back and forth texts between D’arcy and Billy.

Billy wanted D’arcy to be part of the original lineup, but for some reason Billy refuses to have her as a bass player. He wanted her to participate in other things for the other shows and maybe that’s why D’arcy refused to be a part of the lineup ’cause she wanted to be involved in everything. To me those text messages D’arcy posted, she could be selecting certain messages just to make Billy look bad publicly so that might not be the whole conversation. Billy does have a point however that nobody has heard her play bass in years so nobody has any idea what she sounds like.

On top of that who cares if they move on without D’arcy. I’m just glad the band is back after a long hiatus. Besides, legendary bands reuniting without their founding members happens all the time.

Like I said before, Billy may have flipped on reunions/greatest hits shows but maybe he changed  his mind? He wants to celebrate the history of the Pumpkins with us. That’s what it’s all about. Fans begged Billy to play the old songs at the concerts again and he’s giving us that. Why is he being attacked for that? Well, jealousy is the only answer I can think of. Can’t think of no other reason.

A lot of critics and haters are thinking the Pumpkins reunion tour won’t last and tickets won’t sell well ’cause of Billy. Well, make no mistake about it, haters. This tour WILL BE very successful and I predict most of the shows will sell-out. A lot of people in America still love the original Pumpkins line-up.

Band feuds sucks, but that’s the name of the game in the industry. The industry is tough. You gotta deal with a lot of huge egos and band drama. That’s the way it is. Billy had feuds with Jimmy and James Iha in the past but those three guys are cool with each other now obviously. Apparently, they’re still having problems with D’arcy and looks like Billy wants nothing to do with her at all. I can’t blame him. She seems like a piece of work and toxic.

What’s even more pathetic is that fans are attacking Billy simply ’cause he appeared on Alex Jones show a couple of times and they’re boycotting the Pumpkins for that reason.

Just stop complaining and enjoy the music! The Pumpkins reunion is gonna be killer and I can’t wait for all the live bootleg youtube videos of the shows.

Smashing Pumpkins reunion tour finally confirmed but it’s gonna be without D’arcy… the tour is pretty massive too!!!

When it comes to the Smashing Pumpkins reuniting with its original members, people wonder how long the tour is gonna be. Would it be a one-off show, a short tour or a full one? Turns out the tour is gonna be a full tour. Check out the tour dates on the band’s official website. The tour is pretty massive.

The Smashing Pumpkins members are confirmed too with Billy, Jimmy Chamberlin and James Iha all coming back. Jeff Schroeder is also coming back who first joined the band in 2007.

What will the band play on the tour? Will it be a greatest hits show or will the band play obscure songs from the Pumpkins catalogue of music? I think a little bit of both. With this massive tour, they’ll try to play as much as they can from their discography of albums. I think they’ll definitely play everything from “Gish”, “Siamese Dream” and “Mellie Collie” especially.

Sure, Billy Corgan may have been against greatest hits tours in the past but maybe he changed his mind? Billy probably thought to himself, “Lets celebrate the history of the Pumpkins by celebrating with the fans” and that’s what it’s all about the way I look at it.

Will the Pumpkins record a new studio record after the tour? Never say never on that one. It could be a possibility. They’ll probably write new songs while out on the road. Who knows what may happen. They might already have new songs that they could play on the tour as well.

Glad the band is back finally. I’m a longtime Pumpkins fan. Have been from the very beginning. I never saw the band myself but would love to.

Hopefully the band releases a live DVD/CD set of this new tour and I’m sure they will.

D’arcy keeps bashing Billy Corgan in the press, maybe it’s the best idea that she not be back in the band after all?

The Smashing Pumpkins are about to confirm their reunion tour later today, but it looks like it’s gonna be without their founding bassist, D’arcy Wretzky. Looks like the D’arcy and Billy Corgan feud is heating  up ’cause she keeps bashing him in the press. After she keeps bashing Billy in the band, I’m totally on the band’s side and not her. They tried to let her back in the band, but she decides to make them look bad by claiming Billy changed his mind about her and replacing her. She says a lot worse things about him, though is that she says Billy has a brain tumor simply because he supports Trump.

Well gee, what a surprise! D’arcy Wretzky another unhinged liberal and snowflake! Maybe she’s the one that has a brain tumor! Like the title of this post says, maybe it’s the best idea that she not be back in the band which is true. Who needs her! The band tried to offer her back in the band but D’arcy is now saying all kinds of nasty things about Billy.

I can’t wait for Billy’s next interview with the press, and I’m sure he’ll have a lot to say about this. What D’arcy is doing is unprofessional and inappropriate.

Like I said, who needs her! Still though, the Smashing Pumpkins reunion with Billy, Jimmy Chamberlin and James Iha is gonna be fucking awesome!

Smashing Pumpkins to make huge announcement Thursday… probably to confirm original reunion lineup but will D’arcy Wretzky be a part of it or not???

The Smashing Pumpkins put up this cryptic message yesterday on the band’s official facebook page. The band is about to make a huge announcement Thursday. As you can see on this image it includes the original SP heart logo which we haven’t seen in a while and then it includes a lyric line from the song “Disarm” above it. This is obviously giving you clues that the band is about ready to announce the original member lineup is about to happen after all.

I’m pretty sure Jimmy Chamberlin is coming back on drums and James Iha is coming back on guitar, but will D’arcy Wretzky come back on bass? According to the band themselves, no she isn’t. The band themselves say that they’ve tried to invite her in the band but claims she kept deferring, meaning putting them off, postpone until later.

Then D’arcy herself responded to the band’s statement and said Billy Corgan has decided he wouldn’t let her in the band and the Pumpkins are going on with a different bass player. So I take it that Billy and D’arcy are still feuding and having lots of problem still? Doing a little research on the history of the Pumpkins the D’arcy and Billy feud pretty much led to the break-up of the original lineup. Correct me if I’m wrong. They’ve always had problems. Apparently, they still are.

We’ll know for sure on Thursday whether or not she’s in the band. Things can always change on the last minute and Billy will end up letting her back in, who knows? We’ll have to wait and see.

The Smashing Pumpkins will probably confirm a reunion tour and possible new studio album too? Hopefully, they do a new studio album together ’cause that would be cool. I would like a new Pumpkins record with the 4 original members so hopefully D’arcy is back in. If she’s not then it’s not a true Pumpkins reunion. Won’t be as exciting if she’s not in.

I love the Smashing Pumpkins. I heard every album they did but the original lineup will always be the best, though. “Gish”, “Siamese Dream” and “Mellie Collie” were amazing records.

“Machina/The Machines of God” was the last album the original lineup did together and that’s a great record too.

Will the Pumpkins make a new studio album as well? I think they will ’cause you know Billy. That man is always playing and writing music. I’m sure he’s got a bunch of original stuff for the next Pumpkins record already.

Quincy Jones is a rich liberal nutjob who is narcissistic himself, don’t believe anything he says…

Out of curiosity, I’ve decided to read the full Quincy Jones interview at Vulture for myself since this article sent twitter into a frenzy. I can see why ’cause there are a lot of crazy shit in it. What kind of crazy shit?

Well lets see here… Quincy saying that the Beatles were horrible and couldn’t play. Talks trash about Michael Jackson and accuses him stealing songs. Talks trash about Donald Trump and accuses him of starting racism in America and claims to have dated Ivanka. This guy also thinks he knows who the real killer of JFK is and reveals the alleged killers name.

This guy even goes as far as trying to out Richard Pryor and Marlon Brando as homosexuals.

Wow! What a fucking asshole and a liberal nutjob! It’s a shame he would try and make Michael Jackson look bad… I mean, didn’t they used to be brothers like best friends or something?

It’s also funny that he would talk trash about the Beatles like that and I’m sure many Beatles fans are upset with him now.

I’m sure the Trump family aren’t  happy with Quincy making claims about him dating Ivanka… hopefully Ivanka herself will shoot that claim down ’cause that would be funny.

What’s even more disturbing is that Quincy is trying to out Richard Pryor and Marlon Brando as homosexuals… Quincy even made wild claims about Pryor and Brando slept with each other! Yes, Pryor’s widow may have confirmed it’s true but that doesn’t make it true either. Quincy and Pryor’s widow could be out for more attention it looks like. I think the rumors of Pryor and Brando being gay are all bullshit. Not true at all.

Quincy is just a rich buffoon who sits in his mansion trying to think of ways how to get more attention for himself. I don’t care how famous and legendary Quincy is… no doubt the guy is an asshole in real life. Not all famous people are good people. The world of fame is crazy.  You’ll meet a lot of egos and narcissists out there for sure. Quincy is one of them. It’s hilarious that Quincy calls Trump a narcissist when he should look in the mirror.

Quincy is a douchebag and I hope I’m not the only one that thinks so. He just thinks that being rich and famous makes him entitled to say whatever he wants. That is all.

The Brock’s Top 10 Best Music albums of 2017…

I know this list is a little late but I finally got around to compiling my choices for Best Music albums of 2017. Here are my choices of Best Albums released in 2017 with a brief explanation.

10. Danzig – Black Laden Crown

I’ve been a big Danzig fan for many years and still love that band. “Black Laden Crown” the band’s newest album they just put out is their best record in their career. I think Glenn Danzig is a great singer and guitar player. Danzig’s sound and style never changed after all these years. Even with today’s technology in production, they still sound the same.

9. Evanescence – Synthesis

Amy Lee and Evanescence finally put out a new album after a really long hiatus from the industry. Well, the band is finally back and better than ever but this album is not what you think it is. This album is a different side of Evanescence. This album has a mix of orchestral strings and electronic music of their songs. This album is mostly re-recordings of their earlier material and also has a few new songs. It’s an amazing album and the best they’ve ever done. They did a good job on producing ’cause the sound quality on it was pretty amazing.

8. Mastodon – Emperor of Sand

A band that has been catching my attention lately. I’ve been listening to Mastodon for a long while now and I think they’re an excellent metal band. Their newest album “Emperor of Sand” is really awesome and I’ve been listening to it repeatedly. Guitar playing is great and so is the singing. If you want to hear a heavy rockin’ album, this is the album to check out.

7. Ensiferum – Two Paths

Ensiferum is a Finnish metal band better known as Viking Metal. They really are Viking metal and this is another band that has gotten my attention lately. This band is more than just loud electric guitars and growling. You’ll hear acoustic music here too and maybe a little orchestration and a lot of female singing too. “Two Paths” is their best album. This album is great. It had to be on here.

6. Foo Fighters – Concrete and Gold

Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters seems to be getting better at every album they do. I’ve been a long time Foo’s fan. Heard every album they did over the years. Dave is a great songwriter and this is the best album by the Foo’s. There’s more heavier rockin’ songs on this one but of course, there’s gonna be a few acoustic songs.

5. Taylor Swift – Reputation

A lot of people are disappointed that Taylor has changed directions once again… this time she has gotten a lot darker with her music in this album. A lot darker than her previous album “1989”. Yes, this album is dark but still very good. I admire the fact that she’s not afraid to make music how she wants and not afraid to go different directions. I kept listening to this album repeatedly so it had to be high on the list. Amazing album all the way through, in my opinion.

4. Billy Corgan – Ogilala

No new Smashing Pumpkins release yet but Billy Corgan released a new solo album and it blew my fucking mind. Had to listen to it twice. On this album, you’re not gonna hear a hard rockin’ Billy Corgan with guitar riffs and face melting leads. You’re not gonna get any of that on here. This is a softer side of Billy Corgan so the album is gonna be mellow all the way through. This album is mostly ballads but the songs are beautiful and they can never leave your head. Billy’s singing is really good on it too. Of course, I heard all these songs already when Billy was doing his online video tours on Facebook last year.

3. Alice Cooper – Paranormal

This album is fuckin’ badass. I’ve gotten into Alice Cooper music recently and I bought his new record “Paranormal”. Guitar playing is awesome on it and so is Alice’s singing. I listened to this album a lot so it had to be high on the list. As usual Alice, always surrounds himself with great musicians.

2. Gregg Allman – Southern Blood

This was the final studio album Gregg Allman recorded before he passed away. I finally gotten around to listening to it on the free edition of Spotify and want to get my own copy soon. On this album, Gregg is doing his usual blues and country thing. A different side of the Allman Brother’s music. On this album, there is an added horn section through some of these songs which is cool and different. Love this album. Gregg at his best.

1. Greta Van Fleet – From the Fires

I’ve seen this band name called Greta Van Fleet going around but never really listened to them until now. I got into this band ’cause someone told me to listen to them. Someone is like “Hey Kev, you should listen to this band called Greta Van Fleet, they sound like Led Zeppelin”. So that alone I decided to finally listen to them in Spotify and I was impressed. They do sound very much like Zeppelin. Almost dead-on. They also remind me of Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Black Crowes too. I listened to this album twice on Spotify and want to buy my own copy soon. Greta Van Fleet brought true rock n’ roll back which is refreshing to hear. If you want to hear 60’s and 70’s rock n’ roll again then listen to these guys. The singer for Greta Van Fleet can really sing for sure.

RIP David Bowie who passed away two years ago today…

I got to thinking about David Bowie a lot this week ’cause this week was his birthday and anniversary death. David Bowie passed two years ago today.

I’m a longtime Bowie fan. I’ve been a fan of his long before he passed. I’ve been listening to his music for many years. In fact, Bowie was one of the musicians who helped made me want to sing myself. When I first started playing guitar, I initially didn’t want to be a singer and just be a guitar player. The singing came later in the years. Bowie was one of those that made me want to pick up a microphone.

A lot of people mostly know Bowie as a singer but his guitar playing wasn’t known that much and yes, he played a lot of guitar over the years. That’s how he wrote many of his famous songs.

I have a lot of Bowie albums in my music collection and trying to collect his entire discography. Yeah, I’m a die-hard Bowie fan. I love singing and Bowie’s definitely an inspiration.

He was more than just a musician, he was also a visual artist, a fashion genius and he was a great thinker too. He was an interesting guy for sure. There was something mysterious about this guy which was what I admired about him. He was never afraid to make music how he wanted and wasn’t afraid to go different directions. He maybe gone but his music lives on.

Happy birthday, Jimmy Page!

Without this guy, I wouldn’t be doing what I would be doing. Playing the guitar! Seriously though, it was all Jimmy Page that made me want to pick up the guitar and become a rock n’ roll guitarist myself. When I heard the music of Led Zeppelin, hearing their studio albums, all their live stuff and live concert footage… I’m like, “That’s what I want to be one day… an electric rock guitarist!”. I’ve been inspired to play both rhythm and lead guitar ’cause of Jimmy Page. He really is my favorite guitar hero. I may like a lot of guitarists out there but Jimmy will always be my number 1.

When I play lead guitar, admittedly I try to play like him and borrow a lot of licks from him. Jimmy is a genius on the guitar. I don’t understand why Led Zep has a lot of haters still. Before Black Sabbath, it was Led Zep that started “heavy” music. So to all of you who love hard rock and metal, thank Led Zep for that. Led Zep was and still is my favorite band ever.

The Led Zep IV album is what did it to me. I’m a die-hard Led Zep fan and I’m proud of it. I’ll never get tired of listening to Led Zeppelin. I love all of Jimmy Page’s side projects too: Coverdale/Page, the Black Crowes and everything else he has done.

I really do hope Jimmy does something new musically, though. Since there will never be a Led Zep reunion ever again… I can see Jimmy doing a new side project sometime soon. There’s been a lot of talk of Jimmy going solo again, but whatever he plans to do, I’m sure will be genius. I think he and Dave Grohl should do something together ’cause that would be an awesome collaboration!

When will my top 10 Music albums of 2017 come? I’ll try to make the list this week…

So I did the Top 10 Best Movies list of 2017, now I need to do 10 Best Music albums of 2017 and that list will come real soon. That list maybe a little late ’cause I didn’t listen to too much albums for 2017. I only listened to like 7 albums this year, lol. I know I’m way behind on new music well that’s because I’m not a big fan of new music much. I do try to find new music but finding new music is getting harder and harder nowadays! Good music is still around, though, I just happened to stumble upon on some great new artists and bands that I just discovered. I’ve got to listen to more albums in 2017 and then I’ll pick the 10 best this week.

I mostly listen to older music but I try to listen to some new stuff when I can. It’s just that in today’s industry, I’m not interested in a lot of bands and artists. Too much music out there, ya know? I just listen to the stuff that I like and stuff that grabs my attention. One band that has been grabbing my attention a lot lately is a band called, Greta Van Fleet which is one band that I love and I’ll talk more about them in another post.

The music industry is getting worse. So many bands and artists I haven’t even heard of. I mostly like to listen to rock music from 60’s and 70’s. I also listen to a lot of metal and progressive rock. I also listen to a lot of instrumental shred music too. Sometimes I do listen to blues, jazz and even pop and rap music. I listen to a little bit of everything but my main genres are rock n’ roll and metal.

I’m not too crazy about today’s industry. There are still new albums that came out in 2017 that I want to hear. I’ll get to them. Tomorrow I’m going to hit the mall and see what I can find at Best Buy and F.Y.E. Even though I’ve been buying a lot of albums from ITunes, I still do buy albums on physical CD.

Happy birthday, Elvis…

Yep, I’m an Elvis fan too. I’m not a die-hard fan of Elvis but I do like him. I enjoy his rock n’ roll stuff mostly and some of his ballads can be really good stuff. I do love Elvis “Live at MSG” album and I want to get a copy of that album soon. I don’t listen to Elvis a lot but I do listen to him sometimes.

No doubt, Elvis started it all. Without him, I don’t know what the music industry would be like now. I dig Elvis music, sure… just not all of it.
