What show to watch next after I’m done with “24” on Netflix…

…I’m thinking either “Sons of Anarchy”, and “Breaking Bad”. I’ll start catching up with those two shows after “24” but not sure what to start watching first. Hard decision. I do want to see both shows. People in facebook have been trying to talk me into watching both of those shows. Maybe I’ll start watching both. One day, I can watch a few episodes, of “Anarchy”, and the next a few episodes of “Breaking Bad”. I’ll switch back and forth like that. There’s only three seasons available of both shows in Netflix. Both shows look really good and I’ve been meaning to check those out for a long while now.

Love Netflix. Good opportunity to watch TV shows you’ve never seen before and that’s one reason why I got Netflix to begin with.

“24 – Movie” Possible spoilers on character returns…

With the upcoming 24 movie in the works, we are all questioning on what characters will be returning to the movie from the TV show that was aired on FOX. I’m still in the middle of Season 7, halfway through the season. A lot of folks out there wondered if the show’s most notable characters: Bill Buchannan, Tony Almeida and Chloe O’Brien, will return to the big screen film or not…

If you haven’t seen 24, don’t read any further…there might be some spoilers on what characters could and won’t return…..

***************************SPOILER WARNING**************************

***********************************************************************

************************************************************************
************************************************************************

Bill Buchanan, will not be able to return ’cause he was killed off in Season 7. Unless, the writers could figure out a way to bring James Morrison who played the character back for flashback scenes.

I can definitely see Tony Almeida coming back for the 24 big screen movie, ’cause he returned in Season 7.

Chloe O’ Bryan possibly.

********************************END SPOILER****************************

I’m still not done with the show yet, almost there. I love the show so much though and really can’t wait for the big screen movie.

As a matter of fact, there was already a “24” movie, but it was straight to TV movie only, “24: Redemption”. I’m sure they could do the big screen movie with no problems.

Report: Kiefer says, “24” big screen movie should start shooting at the end of April…

While Kiefer is out there doing promotional work for his new show, “Touch”, he gave some info on the upcoming, “24”, movie. All he said was that the film plans to start shooting at the end of April. That was all the info he gave us. Didn’t give us details on the casting or plot, maybe he wasn’t allowed to yet?

Read more, here.

Well, I’m very happy to hear that Kiefer is still committed to playing, Jack Bauer! I love “24”! It’s my new obsession and I think Jack Bauer is one of the greatest TV characters ever created. The guy is a fuckin’ badass! I just finished “Season 6” over the weekend and I think it’s the best season. Showed Kiefer’s best acting in “Season 6”. “Season 6” also told a great storyline, James Cromwell was a badguy in it. They had a father vs. son storyline going in that season. Awesome. That season ended with a happy ending for once.

As for what characters to return for the film, David Palmer, Tony Almeida and Michelle can’t comeback ’cause they were killed off. In fact, the show killed off most of the show’s popular characters.

The only characters I see coming back for the big screen “24” movie, are Chloe O’ Bryan, Kim Bauer, and Bill Buchanan. Maybe Audrey and her father would return too.

I still have plenty of time to catch up with “24”, before the big screen movie comes out. I have two more seasons left to go. I would think the “24” movie won’t come out until 2013 or ’14.

I’m just praying that the film will have a good plot. I hope the film won’t suck and hope they do a good job. They need a villain that everyone will want to hate. They need to leave Bin Laden and 9/11 out of things. With this film being part of Hollywood, it would give them an opportunity to use more expensive special effects than what they did with TV. I just hope they don’t over do the CGI and it shouldn’t be a 3D movie.

We want to see Jack Bauer kicking some serious ass in the “24” movie. If the first, “24”, film will be successful which I’m sure it will be, there’s probably going to be sequels after. I also hope it gets a hard R rating, I hope it won’t be PG-13.

I’m going to be keeping an eye on “24” movie news as the film develops. I’m so glad the film is finally moving forward.

Get well soon goes out to Nick Cannon…

As you all probably know by now, Nick Cannon, host of “America’s Got Talent” and the husband of pop star, Mariah Carey, has been hospitalized with mild kidney failure. No matter how minor it is, it’s still serious. Nick is a pretty funny guy and interesting. I wish him well and speedy recovery. Kind of sad that he might not do, “America’s Got Talent” this year because of this. I was kind of hoping him and Howard Stern would be on at the same time.

Report: “We’re not gonna take it, ah no, we’re not gonna take it, we’re not gonna take it anymore…” Dee Snider, amongst others to join Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice”…

Well, the Donald finally reveled the new lineup for “Celebrity Apprentice” this year. The line up this year is pretty decent. Set to join the lineup this year are: Clay Aiken, George Takei, Dee Snider (singer of Twisted Sister), Lou Ferrigno, Arsenio Hall, Debbie Gibson, Tia Carrere, etc.

Read more on the story, here.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if they give Clay Aiken the big win, ’cause he is the most popular of them all. It be kind of cool if Dee Snider wins the whole thing.

The Donald better take it easy with Lou ’cause Lou is a pretty huge guy and if the Donald says, “You’re fired” from him, he’s going to get thrown across the table. Better not make Lou mad ’cause he’s the Hulk.

I’m a huge Celebrity Apprentice fan. Love the show. Watch it every year.

Report: Howard Stern is confirmed as new judge for “American’s Got Talent”!!!

Another big news announcement today is that Howard Stern is officially the new judge for, “America’s Got Talent”. Pierce Morgan has left the show to concentrate on his own show for CNN, and Howard Stern is taking his place. Howard gets $15 million a year for judging on “America’s Got Talent” and the show will be moved to NYC, so Howard can be near his new work place.

Deadline, reports.

Well, this is certainly going to be great publicity for his Sirius radioshow as I can see “America’s Got Talent” promoting the hell out of it. We all know how controversial, sexist, and inflammatory Howard can get on his Sirius show, but hopefully he’ll be a 100% professional. He might say something sexist and perverted by accident toward the female performers though, especially the HOT ones. I hope NBC can handle, Howard Stern.

I love listening to Howard, I’m a fan, but do you think he’s right for a family friendly entertainment show? We’ll have to see how he does. I’m sure he will be professional for NBC. He’ll be an entertaining judge though.

This means that Howard will have performers and judges as guests for his Sirius show. Who’s going to be the first judge to do an interview with Howard on Sirius: Howie or Sharon?

Kev

Edit to add: Somebody in facebook said that Sharon and Howie was already on Howard Stern – Sirius, a while ago, I don’t listen to Howard since I don’t subscribe to Sirius.

“Game of Thrones” and Peter Dinklage getting nominated is the only things that matter for the Golden Globes…

Well the Golden Globe nominations are here. The only nominations,  I’m pretty much excited about is “Game of Thrones” being nominated for Best Drama TV series and Peter Dinklage (aka Tyrion) getting nominated for “Best Actor in a Supporting Role”.

The rest of the nominees are pretty disappointing. Look like this is going to be a big year for George Clooney, because he has two films out that could be huge for the Golden Globes/Oscars, “The Descendants” and “The Ides of March”. I haven’t seen either films but looking forward to seeing them when they hit DVD.

I haven’t even seen, “The Help” yet, but I’ll probably rent the DVD through Netflix sometime. Only Best Picture movie I’ve seen, was “Moneyball”, which was a really good film though. I do want to see Spielberg’s new movie, “War Horse”, I’ll probably wait for DVD on that one too.

“Game of Thrones” and Peter Dinklage will probably win. Peter is a talented actor, I love the “Game of Thrones” series, and can’t wait for Season 2 later this year.

Brock reviews Stephen King’s “Bag of Bones” on A&E…

Over the weekend, I watched the premiere of Stephen King’s latest TV mini series, “Bag of Bones”, in which was adapted from one of his earlier novels. The series starred, Pierce Brosnan, who is the leading star. Pierce Brosnan, formerly known as James Bond from, “Goldeneye”.

The film is getting bashed on by most Stephen King fans. It’s getting negative reviews. I hope I’m not the only one that actually liked it because I did. Most are mad because the film didn’t follow the book and people though it was boring. In the film’s defense, I don’t like Brosnan as an actor, never did until now. I thought Brosnan was very likable and pretty entertaining in this role. It was right for him. I think Brosnan playing Mike Noonan felt like a realistic person as if you really knew him well. At times, you actually felt sorry for the guy, he was comical and can get serious a lot. I think he was pretty character driven.

The story tells of a famous writer named, Mike Noonan who just released a new book, and he celebrates the release by doing an autograph signing at a bookstore with his wife, Joanna. Joanna dies of brain aneurism and Mike learns that she was pregnant. After his wife’s death, Mike suffers writers block and couldn’t come up with a new book to write. So he took a vacation to his summer home to help fight writer’s block, and he learns that the place he is staying in is haunted. The ghost of his wife, Jo, is there haunting him and she is trying to tell him about this mysterious woman named, Sara Tidwell, and he must find out what happened to her.

Sure, the movie may not follow the book, but  hell, it’s usually pretty common that all movies based on books are not pretty faithful. This is nothing new to me. I thought the film was pretty creepy and kind of scary at times. It was pretty violent and there was a little bit of blood as well.

I personally think this film would have been better if it was for the big screen instead of TV. It was pretty good for what it was though. Not the best, but the writing and the acting of the other cast need more work, I just thought Pierce made the film enjoyable.

There hasn’t been many good Stephen King mini series over the years. I only loved a few of them like, “IT”, “The Stand”, “The Shining” w/ Steven Webber, and “Storm of the Century”. Now you can add “Bag of Bones”, to that list. “Bag of Bones” was a pretty good ghost story.

Why I think Fox is on a rush for that “24” big screen movie…

Why is Fox on a rush for that “24” movie? I think it’s because of twitter, possibly. The day that Bin Laden was found and killed, Jack Bauer have been a trending topic on twitter for a long while. People were also talking about Jack Bauer in facebook because of the Bin Laden killing. That’s what made FOX get right to work on the “24” movie. They might go for the Jack Bauer hunting down Bin Laden plot because of that, and I hope they don’t go for it, honestly.

It’s going to be interesting to see what the plot for the “24” film is going to be. I just hope they don’t mess this movie up. I would like it to be a major hit and be successful. I want it to be a really good movie as well.
