Report: “Dexter”, gets two more seasons, and Michael C. Hall is still on board!!!!

Attention all Dexter fans!!!

There were worries that Michael C. Hall was going to quit the show after season 6 due to the impasse. They couldn’t fill in the $4 million dollar gap, of the original $24 million that Michael wanted. Well, Showtime was able to give the $24 million dollar deal that Michael wanted, and now the actor is still on board for two more seasons!

Great news! The more “Dexter” the better. I haven’t been watching Season 6 ’cause I don’t have Showtime. I’ll just watch them all on DVD when the upcoming seasons come out. Glad Michael is still on the show, ’cause there can’t be a Dexter without him.

Report: And your replacement host for the Oscars is…Billy Crystal…again…

Well, this is no surprise and totally expected! Billy Crystal is set to host the Oscars for the 9th time! Replacing Eddie Murphy. The Muppets may not be hosting the Oscars this year, but maybe the Muppets will make an appearance during Billy’s opening segment for the show? After all, Billy did make a cameo appearance in the new “Muppets” movie coming out in theaters later this year. Could the Muppets do a song and dance performance with Billy? Could be a possibility.

More on it, here.

Anyway, I like Billy Crystal. He’s a very talented actor and a funny comedian. I loved, “City Slickers”, “When Harry Met Sally”, and “Analyze This/That”. All great movies.

Report: Eddie Murphy out as Oscars host, who is going to replace him???

Look like Eddie Murphy says, “hosting the Oscars is for f*gs”. Ooopps, somebody had to say it!

More on the story, here.

The question you’re all probably wondering is, why would he drop out of the Oscars after Brett Ratner dropping out? Well for one, Eddie and Brett have worked on films together in the past. Secondly, they are great friends and Eddie probably felt that his performance couldn’t be done without him. It’s about the artistic direction, I would believe.

Now the important question is, who is going to re-place Eddie Murphy??? Hugh Jackman? Billy Crystal? Steve Martin? Alec Baldwin? Hugh Jackman would not do it because I remember him saying that hosting the Oscars was a one-off kind of thing for him. The other guys I listed is a possibility.

Lets hope they don’t bring James Franco and Anne Hathaway back because they were terrible. I’m sure the Academy would announce a replacement very soon here. I’m sure they already have a second host lined up in case, Eddie backed out.

Thoughts on the show “24”…

I usually watch Netflix on TV on the days there’s nothing on cable, so I would watch a lot of “24” at night. I would have to say that the show is very “addicting”. I couldn’t stop watching it ever since I started the first episode of Season 1. I’ve just started Season 4 this week.

Jack Bauer is one of TV’s best characters, plus “24” has the best writing. The show is action packed and violent. I also love the show’s unpredictability, you just never know what will happen next. Besides Jack Bauer, some of my other favorite characters are David Palmer, Tony Almeida and of course, Kim Bauer.

So far, it’s an excellent show and I’m loving all of it. I still got ways to go to finish the series because it lasted a good 8 seasons, it’ll take me forever to get through. It’s a pretty thrilling show and I’m glad I’m finally getting into it.

So far, my favorite TV shows are: “Friday Night Lights”, “The Walking Dead”, “Game of Thrones”, “Dexter”, “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and now you can add “24” to that list.

Why didn’t I put “Lost” on there? Well I thought “Lost” was pretty good, but it wasn’t the best show ever. “Lost” had a lot of really whacky shit on there, I think to myself, JJ and Damon came up with that stuff? I do like some of the characters on “Lost” , but the writing can get really confusing at times.

After I complete “24”, I think I’m going to start watching “Breaking Bad”, because they just started streaming that show on Netflix now. I’ve heard good things about “Breaking Bad” and been wanting to check it out for a while.

Report: “The Dark Tower” TV series will be aired on HBO, but as for the big screen movie, not sure yet…

While promoting the “Tower Heist” movie, Brian Grazer just said, “The Dark Tower” TV series will be aired on HBO. Since Universal dropped out of making the movies for the big screen, Brian Grazer and Ron Howard still haven’t found a movie studio for the films, but they are still looking.

MTV Movies Blog, reports.

HBO is a great network for the show, but it will be a big competition with other popular shows on that station. Shows like “Game of Thrones”, “True Blood”, and “Boardwalk Empire”. I don’t see how “The Dark Tower” is going to top any of those shows, it’ll be hard. “The Dark Tower” shouldn’t be aired on a Sunday night like a few of those shows are being aired on. I think “The Dark Tower” show should be aired on either Thursday or Friday night.

Another question I have is, Javier Bardem is confirmed to play Roland The Gunslinger. Will he still play Roland for the TV series as well? That’s a lot of acting.

Report: LOL, Sesame Street youtube channel, hacked with porn…

null

Yesterday, the Sesame Street youtube channel was briefly hacked with adult porn videos showing up on their page.

This is not going to be the end for them who ever did it. Next they’ll hit the Disney youtube channel or maybe Nikelodeon. They’ll hit any youtube channel that is aimed at the children audience.

To the people behind this, why would they want to do something like this? Offend children and parents with adult porn? I think there’s more of a reason to that.

While porn is obviously banned in youtube, maybe this is their way of bringing it to their attention that porn should be allowed in youtube. Should youtube have an adult section?

Porn should be kept out of youtube. It is banned in youtube for good reasons. If porn was allowed in youtube, then people would be uploading all kinds of crazy things. They also want to keep illegal porn material off the site. I think that’s the main reason why porn is banned in youtube.

“Walking Dead – Season 2” premiere review ****Major Spoilers****

I watched “Walking Dead” – Season 2 premiere last night. I thought it was a pretty incredible episode. While there is a lot of improvements in the writing of last night’s episode, I think there were a few little plot holes, but not that bad. In this episode it takes place after the events of the explosion of the CDC building. Leaving off from where “Season 1” ended.

This review will include major spoilers, don’t read on, if you haven’t even seen it yet.

It’s the scene where Andrea trapped herself in the bathroom of Dale’s RV, and the zombie is trying to get in after her. Dale watches on the roof, and he just hands her a screw driver to attack the zombie with. She takes the screwdriver and stabs the zombie in the eye with it. The big plot hole in this scene is, Andrea was covered with the zombie’s blood & guts. I clearly remembered from the 1st Season during that episode “Guts”, where Rick and Glenn had to cover themselves up with zombie guts, they weren’t allowed to get any of it on their skin, or they would become infected. Well Andrea had the zombie guts all over her, and she was fine. I think that was a big mistake in the writing part. “The Talking Dead” TV show even pointed that out too (yes, I watched that too).

Another thing that didn’t make a bit of sense was the zombie march through the traffic jam. They hid under the cars so they wouldn’t be seen or heard. Don’t zombies have a strong smell for human flesh? They could have just simply looked under the vehicles, and the cast had plenty of time to hide in the woods nearby and wait for them to walk by.

Other than that, it was a great episode. It was scary as hell, gory as hell, yes, it was gorier than last season. Gotta love that Daryl character, he was badass in this episode. I think he’s my favorite character of the show other than Merle, and Shane.

Sophia goes missing and the episode was about the cast searching for her. Sophia was the little girl who is the daughter of Carol and Ed. The show ends with Carl, Rick’s kid getting shot when they were admiring a deer in the woods.

Here is my prediction on what’s going on here. I think Merle (the show’s villain) is behind it all. I think Merle took Sophia and he also shot Carl. They’re trying to keep Merle’s disappearance mysterious. He’s coming back at Rick and his family/friends, for leaving him on the rooftop handcuffed. Merle sawed his own hand off to escape the cuffs.

Will Merle ever appear this season? I hope we don’t have to wait for the final episode but I know he’s still alive.

I’m glad the show is finally back. It’s one of the best shows on television for sure, other than, “Dexter”, and “Game of Thrones”.

Are you ready for some more “Walking Dead” tomorrow night???

Well, I just got done watching, “Walking Dead – Season 1” on DVD. I was just in the mood for a Walking Dead marathon before the “Season 2” premiere tomorrow. Season 1 was just six episodes so I just watched the first 3 last night and watch the last 3 this afternoon.

I probably already wrote about this a long time ago before but I’m gonna do it again, I’ll talk about my predictions of Season 2 of what’s going to happen. THESE AREN’T SPOILERS, JUST MY PREDICTION!

  • Rick finds out Shane was having an affair with Lori, Rick and Shane don’t get along too well anymore for Season 2.
  • Merle Dixon returns. Merle only appeared for two episodes in Season 1, I think he’ll be in Season 2 a lot more as the main villain. He’ll come back to get revenge at Rick and his friends.
  • Rick discovers the pilot flying the mysterious helicopter. We saw the mysterious helicopter a few times briefly, Rick tried to flag it down while it was flying in Atlanta but no good.
  • Rick reunites with Morgan Jones and his son Duane.
  • The Walking Dead cast loses another major character. They lost Amy and Jim, who’s next? Shane? Lori? Andrea? Maybe even Rick himself?
  • They reunite with Jim as a walker. Remember, they left Jim on the side of the street because he didn’t want to turn into a walker in front of them. They didn’t kill him or anything, just left him there. When Jim comes back as a walker, will the cast try to kill him or will they have a hard time making that decision?
I’m looking forward to Season 2 premiere tomorrow night. I hope it’s a good episode and probably will be. Better not disappoint. I’m kind of glad Frank Darabont is gone, because his ideas could use some improvements, and having new writers would help give the show some fresh ideas.
I’m such a huge fan of zombies. I love zombie movies, video games, comics, etc. In addition to help get the “Walking Dead” excitement going, I’ve been playing the video game, “Dead Island” all week. It’s a sweet game too. I’ll review the game when I’m done with it, of course.
