Report: Guns N’ Roses to release new song for “Rock Band 2” video game…

According to sources, the band Guns N’ Roses is set to release a new song from their long awaited album “Chinese Democracy” for the upcoming “Rock Band 2” video game set to release this coming September. It appears that Axl Rose himself is a huge fan of the first “Rock Band” video game and he plays it himself. Yep, you heard that right, they will release a song from “Chinese Democracy” even if the album isn’t out yet.

It’s “Rock Band” vs. “Guitar Hero” at war competing with each other and that’s what this is all about. Music video games are becoming a hit and more mainstream in the music business, Axl feels this will be good marketing for “Chinese Democracy”.

This is gonna make Guitar Hero jealous, I’m sure they wanted a new song from Guns N’ Roses too.

BREAKING NEWS: Led Zeppelin will never use their music for videogames…

If you’ve been wondering why Led Zeppelin has never used any of their songs for the earlier Guitar Hero games or Rock Band, it’s because the band refuses to allow any videogames use their music.

So if you’re expecting Led Zeppelin to release their own Guitar Hero like Aerosmith did, don’t get your hopes up, because it looks like it will never happen.

I guess I was wrong when I said the band would want to do something like this.

Man this blows.

I can understand why, it’s their music, their copyright, bands do what they want with their music.

Maybe Jimmy Page will have a change of heart toward the videogames down the road, but I doubt it. The band probably knows nothing about video games since video games weren’t even around back in the bands hey day.

Report: No Metallica and Beatles “Guitar Hero” video game just yet, game officials say…

Since the release of “Aerosmith: Guitar Hero” rumours circulated the net that Metallica and the Beatles may each release their own Guitar Hero video game by Activision. Red Octane the game’s publisher denied the rumours although Metallica hinted on their official website that it “might” actually happen.

The Red Octane officials say there are no current plans to do a Metallica and Beatles: Guitar Hero games. They are not ready to comment on Metallica yet. However, the company plans to do a Guitar Hero on other legendary bands such as Led Zeppelin and Ac/DC.

Billboard reports:

I hope Guitar Hero releases a Led Zeppelin video game, that would be so fuckin’ sweet!

If Activision and Red Octane asks Led Zep, I’m sure Jimmy Page would be game for it. Page is good with Led Zeppelin fans and Pagey would want the opportunity to experiment with a videogame, it’ll give Pagey an opportunity to explore new sounds with Led Zep’s music. Pagey is such a huge sound guy and he’ll probably produce the music on the game too.

While Jimmy Page is known for his guitar playing, he is underrated at his producing skills. He’s one of the most talented and creative producers on this planet.

BREAKING NEWS: Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver refuses to voice for “Ghostbusters” video game….

While there is a “Ghostbusters” video game in the works right now, the original cast is coming back except for two important ones. Rick Moranis refuses to reprise his role as Louis Tully for the voice overs of the video game and Sigourney Weaver refuses to come back as Dana Barrett. Why is Rick Moranis refusing? Simply because he retired from the film industry and entertainment business. Rick felt that he made too much money from the “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” sequels that he no longer needs to work.

Sigourney Weaver herself hasn’t yet spoken out on why she isn’t doing the highly anticipated video game. “Ghostbusters: The Video Game” will be released for all game systems: Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii.

More on it here:

http://kotaku.com/5018686/why-rick-moranis-wont-be-in-the-ghostbusters-game

This really blows that Rick and Sigourney won’t be in it. Shame on them since Louis and Dana were the most important part of the films. Sounds like Louis and Dana will be voiced by different actors now ’cause the game still must go on. At least Bill, Dan, Harold and Ernie are still doing it though.

I definitely will buy the video game when it comes out. It’s one of the main reasons I bought a PS3 for is for this game here. I have a feeling that “Ghostbusters: The Video Game” will take over the spotlight on “Grand Theft Auto IV”.

Thought: “Viking: The Battle For Asgard” WOW!!! What an amazing game!

I’ve started playing this a couple of days ago. And I’ve became immediately hooked that I thought I give my thoughts on the game right now. This game “Viking: The Battle For Asgard” is absolutely amazing. I’m a huge fan of fantasy and adventure games like this. Ones with a lot of sword fighting and use of magic. In this game you play a character of Skarin who is a viking warrior. You have to rescue captured men who were kidnapped by demons and all these creatures you have to fight so you can build your own army, ’cause when you get to the main bosses they are protected by their own evil army. One man can’t fight them off alone so you must build an army to fight against them.

I am getting pretty far in this game already and already to the second half of it. The graphics are beautiful on it and the action is so much fun. This game is out for box Xbox 360 and PS3, so if you have one of those two systems, I would strongly reccomend this. This game kicks ass. I think it’s much better than “God of War: Chains of Olympus”. Don’t even rent it before you buy it ’cause this game will not dissapoint you.

I’m about to get off the computer and play some more of it tonight right now.

While there has been a lot of James Bond games over the years, this one is supposed to be the best one. I don’t think there has been a James Bond game made for the PS3/Xbox yet and it’s about damn time they made one!

Report: “Guitar Hero – Aerosmith” is finally out in stores!

Aerosmith fans! The wait is finally over! We can now jam along to our favorite band in a Guitar Hero game with nothing but Aerosmith tunes!

As a big Aerosmith fan myself, I will get this sooner or later. Hell, I haven’t even beaten “Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock” yet but will try to soon since I’m trying to beat this other games I still have.

Last night, I just started playing “Viking: The Battle of Asgard”, so I’m gonna try to beat that one next. “Viking” is a pretty fun game, I’m liking it a lot. I’ll review it after I finish the game completely.

Below, is footage from the NEW Aerosmith: Guitar Hero enjoy. I can’t wait to get it.

Report: Long Island teenagers brings Grand Theft Auto IV to real life…

A gang of six teens in Long Island, New York decided to go on a major crime spree, to impersonate Nico Belic a character from the “Grand Theft Auto IV” game. The kids decided to do the same things that Nico Belic has done in the game, everything including car jacking, beating up innocent civilians in the streets for no reason,  and even breaking into stores.

Just a bunch of bored teens hanging at New Hyde Park in Long Island decided to bring Grand Theft Auto IV into town. It took police at least two hours to catch all the teens.

The New York Post reports:

http://www.nypost.com/seven/06262008/news/regionalnews/video_villains_come_to_life_117336.htm

Come on kids, I’ve said once before and will say it again! DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME! It’s only a game! Just because you can successfully escape from cops in the videogame, does not mean you can do it in real life. That’s why the kids do it in real life to see if they can try to escape police in real life just like in the videogame. Now those kids who just did this are looking at a 20 year prison sentence. Don’t ruin your life over a videogame.

Playing Grand Theft Auto IV online multiplayer is much more fun than the storyline game!

Well I finally did it! I successfully registered for Playstation Network tonight, it took me a while to figure out how to actually go online and play Deathmatch with other people in Grand Theft Auto IV. Yes, I did play at least 45 minutes of online gaming in GTA 4, and yes, it’s ten times much more fun than playing the regular storyline game!

So any videogame I get that has multiplayer online gaming, I’ll be playing to play online with other people. You can also play online in games like “F.E.A.R.” and “Metal Gear Solid 4”.

It’s much more fun playing videogames online with other people because you’re actually playing against a real live human being, you don’t know the person you’re playing with behind the other TV screen, it can be a he/she anywhere in the world.

In GTA 4 playing the “Death Match” online is such a blast! I was doing pretty good too. Other people were better than me of course, that’s because playing online is so much different than playing the regular storyline game.

I’m done playing around with my PS3 now because I’ve spent most of the afternoon trying to set up all that online gaming stuff. I’m glad I’m finally able to play online! wOOt!

Playing games online on the PS3…

So on my day off of work today, I decided to spend some time to see if I can connect to the internet on my Ps3 so I can play games online. I unhooked my wireless modem, I use a small tiny modem called Netgear, I’m sure you’ve all heard of it. I unhooked it from my computer and hooked it to the PS3.

I was doing all the settings, connections and installations for the wireless modem on the ps3 and surprisingly enough, I successfully connected to the internet on my PS3. However, when I went to sign up for the Playstation Network so I can play games online, the Playstation Network server site was down for maintenance, and I’m like damn.

Hopefully the Playstation Network site will be back up tonight so I can sign up. I want to play Deathmatches on Grand Theft Auto IV so I can sign on and kick some ass. I am pretty skilled and talented at GTA, so beware. I am good at aiming and quick at killing people with guns in the game, so I ought to do better than all them kids playing online.

I wish the Network server would go back up ’cause I actually want to play GTA IV online right now! But I guess I will have to wait a while. I’m glad everything worked well as I said it would below. It did take a little over an hour to figure it all out though but I did it!

I didn’t need an ethernet cable at all, as long as you already have a wireless internet, use that instead.
