The WWE will continue to over hype John Cena to death until he decides to retire!!!

I know how much all of us are getting fed up with WWE over hyping John Cena so much, as if he was the next Hulk Hogan, but the WWE is not going to stop. They will keep giving him so much screen time. Hogging all the main events, and getting all the Wrestlemania spotlights, you get the deal. This is why the WWE will never bring back the Attitude Era. I know us longtime fans want the Attitude Era back, but the popularity of John Cena, the PG era will be around for a long time. Here’s why…

…simply put, John Cena is a powerhouse when it comes to helping marketing the WWE. The Make-A-Wish-Foundation, Fruity Pebbles, etc. Things like that. Even though the ratings are really bad for the PG era, the PG rating stays ’cause of Cena. Cena is only popular with women and children. Not too many men like Cena too much, as he gets a lot of boos at the live shows from the male fans and Cena has his share of haters online.

This is part of why I almost gave up watching WWE several times ’cause like most everyone, I too am sick of Cena. Cena is also never gonna turn heel even though a lot of us would want him to. Even though, I’m not much of a Cena fan, I want to see him turn heel ’cause that would make an interesting storyline. They wouldn’t turn Cena heel ’cause the WWE are afraid to lose their sponsors that he’s good at marketing for, and of course, they don’t want the children to get turned off by him. Cena started off as a heel earlier in his career when he was younger.

I’ll admit it, that Cena had quite a few amazing matches in his career, and you can’t deny that he’s a hard worker, I just think he’s very annoying. I think rap gimmicks in wrestling is awful to begin with. If Cena never had the rap gimmick that he has had for years, then he wouldn’t have gotten this big now. He’s not the next Hulk Hogan, guys. Yes, the Rock will probably keep the title and Cena will probably end up taking it from him at ‘Mania. I don’t even know if I want to watch Wrestlemania this year.

If the Undertaker doesn’t have a match at this year’s ‘Mania, then I wouldn’t even bother. I love Undertaker matches at ‘Mania ’cause they make it worth watching, his undefeated ‘Mania streak.

Back to John Cena, I don’t really hate the guy, honestly, but I just want the WWE to cut him some slack. There are plenty of other talented performers who deserve the same spotlight Cena is getting, like Ryback for example. I think Ryback is the best new performer we have today. Ryback is a great character and I think he’s going to be a big icon down the road, for sure.

John Cena is a pretty young guy, he’s just about my age, actually, lol. Cena will probably be around WWE for a long time. The only time if he’ll get forced to retire if he gets injured for real that prevents him from wrestling. Yes, wrestling maybe fake and scripted, but serious injuries do happen for real in wrestling. I’m not saying that I want Cena to get injured badly so he can be gone, just sayin’. Edge, was forced to retire at a young age ’cause of an injury and he can’t wrestle anymore ’cause of it.

I’m probably gonna watch RAW tonight, to see what’s gonna happen after the Rumble. I want to see Jericho ’cause he’ll be on tonight, I think. I also want to see CM Punk’s reaction now that he finally lost the belt. I’m sure Punk will deliver an amazing speech. I like CM Punk. He’s an amazing performer who I’ve admired for years. A lot of people hate Punk ’cause of his “Respect me, best in the world” stuff, but come on, it’s just a scripted wrestling show. I never take it seriously. On top of that, the bad guys (heels) are more interesting performers to begin with.

Kev

I’m definitely watching the Royal Rumble tonight..

Yeah, I think I’m definitely watching it ’cause I’m curious to see who’s going to actually win “The Rock vs. CM Punk” Championship match and the 30 Man Rumble match. My final prediction for tonight’s Rumble is that I think CM Punk will retain his WWE title, and Brock Lesnar returns tonight to win the Rumble matchup, so it can be CM Punk vs. Lesnar headlining Wrestlemania. I don’t think the Rock is gonna win tonight.

The other two matches for tonight’s ppv are going to be a Tag Team Champ match between Kane & Daniel Bryan vs. Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow. Kane and Daniel Bryan could win and retain their titles.

There is also Alberto Del Rio vs. Big Show for the World Heavyweight Champion. Del Rio is currently champion who just took the belt from Big Show a few weeks ago and I think Big Show will get it back tonight.

It shall be a fun ppv. I’ve been watching the Rumble and Wrestlemania for years ever since the 90’s. I’ll review my thoughts tomorrow.

Kev

Actually, could it be the Rock vs. Brock Lesnar at WM-29???

Another prediction I have for this Sunday’s, Rumble PPV, is that Brock Lesnar could be a surprise entrant in the 30 Man Rumble, and he could win the whole thing so he can headline Wrestlemania. The Rock will probably end up winning the title from Punk, but it probably won’t be a long title run. Lesnar will probably take it from the Rock at this year’s, ‘Mania. The Rock vs. Lesnar headlined a Wrestlemania years ago before and it could be Rock vs. Lesnar II this year. Which will be good ’cause I’m tired of Cena in the main event spotlight at ‘Mania every year. I probably will end up watching the Rumble this Sunday. Even though, I gave up watching WWE ppv’s, I still watch the two big ones yearly: “Royal Rumble”, and “Wrestlemania”.

Even though, I still don’t like WWE’s current direction, I still respect the performers and still am a wrestling fan.

WWE doesn’t use Lesnar that much, but I think he will make an appearance at the Rumble this Sunday.

Kev

Why the Rock won’t (or shouldn’t) take the belt from CM Punk at the Royal Rumble this Sunday…

So the Royal Rumble ppv is this Sunday, which is the beginning of the road to Wrestlemania. Will I watch this Sunday’s Royal Rumble? Not sure. Probably not. I usually watch the Royal Rumble every year too. Why? Simply because I don’t like WWE ppv’s anymore. When I try to watch one, they aren’t as exciting and fun anymore as they used to be. Maybe it’s the PG era, I don’t know… but the main reason, I’m not going to watch it is that it will be too predictable. John Cena will probably end up winning the 30 Man Rumble match up ’cause he’s probably gonna main event Wrestlemania like every year.

The Rock is set for a title match against CM Punk, a match before the 30 Rumble match. CM Punk has had a long title reign. More than 430 days, I think. Punk has been WWE Champ for more than a year, I believe. Punk has this gimmick where think he’s the “Best In the World” ’cause he’s WWE Champ and all the things he has accomplished in wrestling from the past, so he thinks he deserves more respect from people since he’s considered a heel right now. The Rock shouldn’t be the one to take the title from Punk. Why? For a few reasons: 1) It will make Punk’s “Best In the World” gimmick look weak and we can’t have that 2) The Rock is not around WWE that much, he has all kinds of movie projects coming up and he’s already been champion like 16 times. We don’t need to give the belt to the Rock again. The Rock already accomplished so many things and he doesn’t need another title run. Punk should retain. I think the main event at ‘Mania should be Punk vs. Cena. I certainly don’t want the Rock vs. Cena again, we already had that last year.

Of course, it wouldn’t surprise me that the Rock will be winning the title, anyway, and go against Cena at Wrestlemania.

I don’t like the way WWE is going today, but I still respect and love all the performers, though. I just want a better product and want them to bring back good wrestling. RAW hasn’t been good the last several weeks. Some of the writing of the shows, just make me want to puke. Especially the lame Daniel Bryan and Kane team up, so lame.

Wrestling is indeed, no longer the same anymore, it’s really sad. Wrestling used to be amazing back in the earlier days, but it’s gone down to shit. What happened?

The only positive I have about today’s WWE, is that Ryback is an awesome character. I keep watching ’cause of that guy. He’s got a resemblance to Goldberg. Ryback is a badass, look him up if you don’t know who he is. If we had the Attitude era today, Ryback would be even more of a badass. He’s a great wrestling character.

Back to the Rock, I like the guy and all, but he doesn’t need to go back to wrestling. He should concentrate on his movie career and let the younger wrestlers get their chance at the spotlight.

Good! Linda McMahon loses her Senate seat bid!

How much do you want to bet that she’ll get right back to WWE real soon? Lets see if this will have an affect on WWE. Will they get back the Attitude Era or not? We’ll have to wait and see.

Linda is trying to make her dream come true in politics but with her WWE past, it’s making it real tough for her. Just shows that politics is not for her and she belongs in wrestling.

If Hogan staged the whole sex tape thing himself, that wouldn’t surprise me…

Ya know, it wouldn’t surprise me at all, if Hogan was the one who set up the idea to bang Bubba’s wife, and Hogan himself actually set the video camera up in that room. Why would Hulk do something like this if it’s true? Think about it, this is a big money making opportunity for Hulk. His previous wife, Linda, left him, and Hulk is probably going broke, so he sues Bubba for $100 million, hoping to get rich quick. I like how Howard Stern is trying to play peacemaker and end this whole drama. You can’t trust Hulk and looks like Howard can’t trust him either since it looks like he’s on Bubba’s side. I’m sure this won’t even land in court ’cause it would be hard to find out who the put the video camera in there. My money, is that Hulk is behind this whole thing himself, for sure.

More on the story, here.

Kev

Hulk Hogan, a lying piece of garbage like usual???

Hulk Hogan went on Howard Stern, claiming that Bubba the Love Sponge, gave him the blessing to bang Bubba’s wife, at the time Hogan’s marriage was falling apart. Now, Bubba the Love Sponge himself went on his radio show and claimed that Hogan brainwashed him to get his blessing. Bubba also claims Hogan was in on the whole thing, the entire time. Read more, here.

While both are telling their own side of the story, I trust Bubba’s sources more than Hogan’s ’cause Hogan has been known to lying for years.

Kev

Hulk Hogan continues to be a self centered douchebag…

First, Hulk contacts the FBI, and now he’s suing his former friend, Bubba the Love Sponge over the sex tape. I mean come on, give me a damn break, Hulk! I’m sure all the wrestlers he feuded with in the past in real life, are laughing at him right now. Hulk was the one who took upon Bubba’s offer to bang his wife, if what Hulk says is true. Hulk should have known better that someone was going to video tape it and put it out there for the world to see. Like I said before, it’s all Hulk’s ego. Trying to protect, “Hulkamania”. He thinks he can get away with this shit. Celebs and famous people have all their right to privacy, yes, but you must be responsible if you’re going to do these things. Hulk wasn’t responsible. This is called, karma, Hulk. Think about why your ex-wife got arrested for DUI.

Kev

Thought: The recent news on Hulk Hogan… doesn’t surprise me…

Isn’t it kind of funny that Hulk Hogan’s sex tape has been leaked and all of a sudden, Linda Hogan (Hulk’s ex-wife) has been arrested for DUI at the same time?

The story going around that Hulk Hogan’s longtime friend and radio interviewer, Bubba the Love Sponge (most famous for having a radioshow interviewing professional wrestlers), supposedly leaked a sex tape with Hogan in it, banging Bubba’s wife. On Howard Stern, Hogan claims that Bubba gave him the blessing to bang his wife. Turns out that Bubba videotaped it all, and leaked it to the web for the world to see.

Of course, typical Hulk cries about it, and takes legal action.

For those who think Hogan disgraced himself with the sex tape, don’t get the wrong idea. Hogan disgraced himself and destroyed his reputation for years, goes way back in his wrestling career. The douche has always been a fuckin’ trainwreck, ya know? The guy is an egomaniac, and a liar. He will do anything to defend himself just to make himself look good publicly after he misbehaves behind the scenes. He really believes he is “Hulkamaniac”, and he will do whatever it takes, to save his legacy and character. He hurt many people in the past and lied to a lot of people. Especially, when he lied about burying the hatchet with Macho Man Randy Savage before his death. It was a lie. Randy Savage always hated Hulk. Plus, Hulk is known to destroying and hurting other wrestlers like Bret Hart, Ultimate Warrior, Iron Sheik, Honky Tonk Man, etc. The list goes on.

Hogan’s a piece of shit. Always has been. I used to like Hulk Hogan back in the 80’s and during the 90’s WCW era when he was in the nWo. Hogan used to be cool, but now he’s a washed up loser.

Like I said plenty of times in this blog, if you don’t want nude photos or sex tapes leaked to the public where the whole world can see, then you shouldn’t have done that stuff at all. This was Hogan’s fault, clearly, and like always, he plays the innocent victim. Hulk is a lunatic and it’s just sad that he’s still going in wrestling working for TNA. A lot of legendary wrestlers have retired and moved on, but of course, Hulk keeps going. He thinks wrestling is all for himself. He’s a douche, a mess. To hell with Hulk.

Why Mr. McMahon being the babyface superhero doesn’t work…

So Vince McMahon returned to WWE RAW last night to give a WWE “State of Address”. Nobody knew what McMahon’s plans were storywise. There’s been a lot of speculation that he is going to fire AJ Lee of the RAW GM position. While McMahon was out in the ring, about to give his “WWE address” speech, of course, he was interrupted by CM Punk. CM Punk and Paul Heyman, came out to the ring. Punk like usual cries about how he is being disrespected in the WWE and how no one cares for him anymore, when everyone should since he is WWE Champion. Punk has a huge ego thinking he’s the best in the world. Punk wants McMahon to think so too.

I was expecting McMahon to do something mean like a heel kind of thing and agree with Punk that he’s the Best in the World, but sure enough, Vince is against Punk like most people. So Vince challenged Punk a wrestling match for the main event. Last night during the Punk vs. McMahon match, they were beating each other up for a good ten minutes. Punk was beating McMahon in the beginning, then McMahon came out on top in the middle of the match beating Punk like crazy. When Punk finally found a way to come back at McMahon, Ryback’s music hits, and he comes out to save McMahon. Of course, John Cena had to come out and help too, *yawn*. CM Punk runs away from the ring and stands out in the audience while watching McMahon speak of what he is about to say. McMahon forces Punk to be in a Hell in a Cell match against either Ryback or Cena of Punk’s choice. If Punk refuses, then he would FIIIIIrreeeedddd…

Well, that’s how RAW went last night with McMahon’s return. McMahon doesn’t perform full time as much as he used to. I think he’s getting too burned out about performing so much, which is why he has a RAW General Manager, give someone else the spot light. McMahon has been a babyface superhero for a while now, and I don’t think it works for him. McMahon is much more interesting being a menacing heel. Someone you really want to hate. I think the only reason McMahon turned into a babyface is well, it’s part of Linda McMahon’s Senate campaign. If McMahon was a heel during her campaign, then Linda will get attacked by the media for it. A good guy Vinnie-Mac, is just weird. I’m used to seeing him as the badguy. McMahon was pretty weak in his promos last night. He can give really amazing promos when he’s heel.

McMahon has been a heel for 90% of his entire career performing on TV. I understand he wants to do something different, but there’s something about him being good guy that doesn’t work. Maybe it’s his acting. Maybe he doesn’t know how to control the crowd when he’s babyface. He’s better being the badguy! Will McMahon ever get a heel turn again? I think he will. Just wait until Linda loses her election, and then maybe he’ll turn heel then. If McMahon turns heel, he’ll have to bring back all the offensive stuff like the Kiss My Ass club for example. The PG era today is just unreal. Can’t stand it.
