Report: First look at “Prince of Persia” live action film starring Jake Gyllenhaal…

So you’ve seen photos online of Jake Gyllenhaal, shirtless, long haired, not so clean shaven, also looking bulked up, fit and muscular. Gyllenhaal himself speaks on his new look for the film, like the film makers want Gyllenhaal to look exactly like the character from the video game. He says he had to do a lot of acrobatics, working out and training because the character he plays requires a lot of that.

Click here for a Behind the Scenes video of “Prince of Persia” live action movie, and interview with Gyllenhaal himself, taken from Entertainment Tonight:

Thought: WTF??? Was Captain Kirk and Uhura ever in love?

So you’ve seen the “Star Trek” trailer I posted here in the blog. And you see a young Captain Kirk getting it on with a young Uhura. I’m sure those of you who are not much of a Star Trek fan and you’re thinking to yourselves, “WTF? Was Captain Kirk and Uhura ever in love?”

In answer to your question…yes, they were at one point…since JJ Abrams goal with the new “Star Trek” movie to be a complete homage to the original series…that is why he had to throw the Kirk and Uhura relationship in there.

Captain James T. Kirk had always been known to be a womanizer in the series and the films. In the earlier episodes of the original Star Trek series, there is one episode where Kirk and Uhura were intimate.

Don’t worry folks. “Twilight” will make a lot more than James Bond.

With “Twilight” coming out next weekend on Nov. 21st, mark my words, it’ll make at least $80-$100 million or even more.

Report: The rest of the “Twilight” novels to be made into films as well…

With “Twilight” hitting theaters next Friday, the film makers are already moving forward to the rest of the sequels that will be adapted from the novels as well. The novels written by Stephenie Meyer, Summit Entertainment has acquired the rights to adapt “New Moon”, “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn” into major motion pictures. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg who wrote the first “Twilight” movie has been signed to write “New Moon” and “Eclipse”. A writer for “Breaking Dawn” has not been found yet.

While Summit Entertainment knows that the first “Twilight” movie will be an audience full of pre-teens and twenty somethings, the film company hopes to attract the series to older audiences too from 30’s – 50’s and up. Basically, their goal is they want these films to be for people of all ages, not just for teens.

I’m glad the sequels to the books are being made into films too. Good to hear. Although, I’m still in the middle reading “Eclipse”, I haven’t gotten around to get back into reading it, I’ve been busy. I’m glad I’m reading the books before the sequels of the films come out though.

I really am looking forward to seeing “Twilight” in theater next weekend and I probably will end up liking it a lot. We get too many fantasy and children stuff for all ages like “Chronicles of Narnia”, “Lord of the Rings”, “Star Wars”, “Harry Potter”, etc. But there’s never anything dark and never has anything to do with the horror genre, Stephenie Meyer finally brought that to us, a horror genre for people of all ages!!! Thank you Stephenie! That is why I love her for this!

Report: “The Dark Knight” musical score disqualified from Oscar nomination…

The committee of the Academy music branch disqaulified the rights for “The Dark Knight” musical score which was composed by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard from getting a nomination at the Oscars this year.

Yep, this means that “The Dark Knight” musical score will not get a nomination.

Read more here to find out why:

Kind of sucks. The score was amazing in the film. Oh well.

This does give a good sign that the Academy will nominate “The Dark Knight” for everything else, like for “Best Picture”, “Best Director”, “Best Visual Effects”, “Best Costuming”, etc.

“The Dark Knight” will be huge for the Oscars. It’ll probably sweep everything.

Hmmmm, how much do you want to bet that Ridley Scott is going to get Russell Crowe to play the guy with the top hat and white mustache? Wouldn’t surprise me. Ridley Scott seems to love Russell Crowe as they did quite a few films together.
