BREAKING NEWS: Two characters won’t return for season 3 of “Friday Night Lights”…

Since NBC’s “Friday Night Lights” new renewal for Season 3 coming later this year, the film crew of the show revealed the breaking news that two important characters of the show won’t be returning. They will only return for a few episodes to explain their leaving. Jason Street (pictured above in wheelchair) and Smash Williams (pictured under Jason), will not be returning full time. The actors for those two characters are welcome to renew their contracts but I guess they are moving on as well. They were forced to get out of contract because of the writer’s strike last year when the show was cut off.

To explain their leaving of the show, Jason and Smash both graduated from high school and their last 4 episodes they have left they will move on to a better life. Jason will move on to take care of his pregnant girlfriend and Smash will probably move on to college football.

Entertainment Weekly reports:

Aw man, this really blows that two of my favorite characters are leaving!

Ah well, I’m glad Season 3 is returning and at least Kyle Chandler and Taylor Kitsch aren’t leaving.

I can’t wait for the show to come back!

Report: The Osbournes new TV show? Family to host new variety show on FOX…

The Osbourne family’s reality TV show “The Osbourne’s” only lasted for two seasons, but yep, they get another new TV show on the way. The Osbournes: Ozzy, Sharon, Jack and Kelly has just signed a deal with FOX to host a new variety show for 6 episodes, each episode will be an hour long. This show got the idea from other classic variety shows such as “The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour” and “The Donny and Marie Osmond” show.

The plan to mix musical performances by the Osbournes, doing gameshows, audience participation and out of studio elements. The show will be shot in Los Angeles. Sharon Osbourne is still currently the judge on the hit TV show “America’s Got Talent”.

The Osbournes TV show failed, this one will probably fail too. The family can’t get enough of their fame. It must be awesome to have Ozzy as a dad.

I think this is a test to see if people cares for the Osbournes if they want to bring on Season 3 for “The Osbournes” TV show.

Report: Joseph Mascolo is returning to “Days of Our Lives”…

Longtime “Days of Our Lives” soap opera veteran Joseph Mascolo is confirmed to be reprising his role as Stefano Dimera in the long running daytime soap opera aired on NBC weekdays. Several months ago, news broke that Joseph Mascolo was fired from the show, it was reported he had a fallen out with it’s film crew and not getting along with them. Turns out they talked things over, things turned out good and Ken Corday has decided to rehire the actor to a new contract.

Joseph Mascolo plays the role of Stefano Dimera, an evil mob boss, the father of the Dimera family and empire. During Joseph’s hiatus from the show, John Black (played by Drake Hogestyn) now owns the Dimera mansion and considers it his new home. Since Stefano Dimera erased John’s memory, John’s been a different person since having an angry attitude and becoming weird. After all these years it turns out that John Black is a Dimera so that makes Stefano, John’s half brother. When Stefano Dimera returns all hell will break loose again between the Dimeras and the Brady’s.

Jeff Goldblum had always been a struggling actor trying to get recognition, Law and Order will give him that recognition. Great idea! I’m down with Goldblum being part of the Law and Order cast. Cool!

Yep, I knew it! As I already predicted, it was pretty obvious NBC News were going to choose Tom Brokaw to take over Tim Russert’s place.

Tom Brokaw will host “Meet the Press” throughout the 2008 election season.

Tom Brokaw is a legendary TV figure who was the head anchor for “NBC Nightly News” for over 21 years, then retired, Brian Williams took his spot.

Reuters reports:

TV star Ellen Degeneres won an Emmy Award for “Best TV Talk Show Host” at this year’s Emmy, this is her fourth award. Albany’s own Rachael Ray wins Best TV Enetertainment category, look like her kefiyeh scarf didn’t stop her from winning!

The popular soap opera “General Hospital”, won the most at the Emmy’s, they picked up a total of 10. “Days of Our Lives”, “Young and the Restless” and “Guiding Light” was nominated several awards but “General Hospital” swept ’em all up.

Variety Reports:

http://www.variety.com/awardcentral_article/VR1117987894.html?nav=news&categoryid=1983&cs=1

It’s no surprise that “General Hospital” got the most. That show’s been getting a lot of buzz lately so it must be a pretty popular show right now.

I also kind of already predicted Ellen was going to win too.
