I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.

Thought: The egos and delusional people in twitter, I’m not talking about famous people either…

I love how non-famous people, real people like me pretend to act like they are famous people in twitter. You see, twitter isn’t going to make you famous. If you think that site is going to make you famous, what kind of fantasy world are you living in?

Yes, I know that twitter is very popular with real celebrities in twitter and that’s what drove real people like me to register to that site, hoping it would make non-famous people become famous, but that’s never going to happen.

If you want fame, the internet is not going to do that for you. Sometimes the internet does make people famous like Chris Crocker, Tay Zonday, Tila Tequila, etc. but it rarely happens. If the internet ever made people famous, it would do nothing but made you look bad, in a gossipy kind of way, and I don’t think you would want to be famous that way.

If you want fame for the music or whatever career you do, stop dreaming.

The only way to be looked at as a famous person in twitter is you must have a “verified account” which most celebrities in twitter have. “Verified accounts” just proves it is actually them running their page.

Twitter is not going to give you fame and that’s the truth. I registered to it, just for fun. Nothing more.

Cool Video: Brian Dennehy speaks on the first Rambo…

New interview with former Rambo star, Brian Dennehy who played Sheriff Will Teasle. This is recent and very new. Although Brian is old now, he still looks like he did back in “First Blood”, he hasn’t aged a bit, in my opinion.

He says he hasn’t seen the other “Rambo” movies, which is either he is telling the truth or it’s just a polite way of saying he doesn’t like the other “Rambo” films out of respect for Sly.

I hope he agrees to return to “Rambo 5” if Sly asks him.

Report: “Mad Max 4” to start production in summer of 2010…

George Miller announced that, “Mad Max 4” will begin filming in the summer of 2010. No casting has been made, but George says Sam Worthington will be the first in line if Mel Gibson turns it down. They are still interested in reprising Mel.

Mel has turned this down once before, but that was back when he claimed he was done with acting in leading roles and he was going to concentrate on directing more.

Now that Mel Gibson is starting to work on leading roles again, which his next movie is the action/thriller, “Edge of Darkness” and he will next star in Jodi Foster’s, “The Beaver”…who knows, maybe good ol’ Mel, will change his mind about “Mad Max 4” and might agree to star in it?

I seriously hope Mel won’t turn this down. I won’ t see another “Mad Max” movie if Mel doesn’t star in it, so I’m crossing my fingers that he will say yes in returning. There can’t be a Mad Max movie without him!

Report: Healthy and unhealthy snacks at the movies…

If you’re a bodybuilder or simply trying to lose the weight, you have to be careful what you eat everywhere you go when not at home. Including when you go to the movies. If you’re a fitness and health person that enjoys going to the movies on a regular basis like myself, you must stay away from popcorn completely. Popcorn is your enemy as they are high in calories and high in fat too.

Probably the most healthiest snacks to eat from the snack bar at Regal’s movies would be a pretzel. I never really eat snacks when I go to the movies since the food there is very pricey, but if I felt like it, I would probably go for a pretzel. If I was in the mood for chocolate, Kit Kat bars are probably the most healthiest candy bars out there. Swedish Fish, is also a healthy snack that is good for ya. Swedish Fish, them chewy red fishes that are all tasty and stuff.

I’m trying to keep my nutrition plan, as strict as possible. Only eat healthy stuff during the week, and I just eat what I want on the weekends. When I go grocery shopping, I always find myself looking at every nutritional labels, making sure if it’s good or not good.

I like to eat what I want on the weekends only ’cause I was reccomended that it is okay to still put some calories on ya when bodybuilding. Not too much calories but some.

Thought: “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” brief review…

So this morning, I finally beat, “Ghostbusters – The Video Game”. The game was really good. Not the best of the year though.

The graphics in the game was really good. Action was fun, story was fun. I was most impressed with the game’s home theater surround sound. The sound was incredible on the game.

Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd both wrote the script for the game, this game was originally supposed to be the script for “Ghostbusters 3”, but this plot got turned into a video game instead.

My only complaints is that the bosses at the end of each level were a bit too easy…but they make the ghost battles in the middle of the levels pretty challenging and very hard. I wish they made the bosses more difficult. I’m also dissapointed that there is no Louis Tully and Dana Barrett. I remember Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver both turned down the game, so I can understand why those two characters were written out of the script.

This game was fun and a blast to play, but wish it could have been better. It could have a better ending sequence too.

Will Atari make another “Ghostbusters” video game for a sequel? I’m sure there will be another one. Only thing though, since now the Ghostbusters are mostly focused on recruiting new Ghostbusters and since there is a “Ghostbusters 3” movie in the works, I imagine they’ll make another video game after “Ghostbusters 3” is made and released. In the next video game will probably have the 4 new recruits as the leading characters, not Peter, Egon, Ray and Winston.

Anyhow, in “Ghostbusters – The Video Game”, it stayed true to the first two films. It was similar to the first two films. It added it’s usual mix with comedy, horror, and ghost stories. Yes, this game was actually kind of creepy and scary in some parts, as a few parts made me jump a little bit.

The guy’s voicing the original Ghostbusters: Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd all did a great job.

This is a good game for all Ghostbusters fanatics and I would reccomend it!

In other video game news, now that I finished this game, I will start “Batman: Arkham Asylum” today. Yesterday at Best Buy, I picked up the game, “Demon’s Souls”, a dark fantasy action adventure role playing type of game, I won’t start that game yet though, I want to play “Batman: Arkham Asylum” next.

Report: Noel Gallagher confirms solo career, after hearing the public’s interest in his solo music…

Ever since the split with Oasis, Noel Gallagher, has never confirmed a solo career until now. There was many speculation that Noel was going to go solo. Oasis fans online were obsessively trying to get Noel to go solo. In a new interview, Noel, confirmed a solo career and said he was glad that is what people wanted to hear.

Noel is looking forward to getting his new music out and touring with it. It won’t involve members of Oasis or Liam, it will be strictly Noel’s project alone.

More on it here:

http://www.nme.com/news/oasis/48012

I’m sure Noel will be performing a bunch of Oasis covers as well since he wrote most of the songs on his solo tour.

I too am looking forward to his solo career. I’m sure his solo career will be way more successful than Oasis. Noel will be bigger than ever now that he’s done with Oasis.

While I’m a fan of Oasis too, I’m now kind of glad the band is done, so Noel can go solo. I’ve always liked Noel more than Liam, anyways.

Film Review: Law Abiding Citizen

Starring: Jamie Foxx, Gerard Butler, Colm Meaney

Directed by: F. Gary Gray

Today, I just saw the movie, “Law Abiding Citizen”. Nothing else out playing, wasn’t really interested in seeing, “Where the Wild Things Are”, that I’ll wait for DVD on, so I went and saw this movie instead. Drew Barrymore’s “Whip It” is not even worth reviewing since that film was alright and really nothing special.

Here is my review for “Law Abiding Citizen”:

Plot/Synopsis: A normal father, Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) lives a regular and happy life by living with his wife and his daughter. Suddenly, him and his family has been attacked by two robbers. His wife and his daughter is murdered by one of the robbers. In the killer’s trial, the killer is released from prison 10 years later. Clyde is out for revenge, he hunts down the man that killed his family and kills him himself. Clyde’s revenge is not yet over. He is still on revenge against law enforcement who let the killer free. This is Clyde’s way of trying to fix the justice system himself.

This was an entertaining film. Nothing all that great or amazing, nothing really Oscar worthy, but just a fun little popcorn film. The story and plot is kind of whacky, but hey, it’s just a movie, right?

Of course, the acting of Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler stoled the show, their acting was great in this. I’m also glad to see Colm Meaney who is a former, “Star Trek: The Next Generation” star. Remember, Colm played Miles O’ Brien in “Star Trek: TNG” years back.

The movie had a mix of action, suspense, comedy, and drama thrown in. There is also a bit of blood and gore in this flick as well. The action scenes were good, lots of explosions and things like that, but nothing really that will take you at the edge of your seat.

It wasn’t really a bad film. I just think the writing needs to be a little better. It would have been a moving film if they had a better script for this.

I say this movie is pretty good.

Score for “Law Abiding Citizen” = *** (3 stars as in “Good”)

Thought: Will Metallica continue tour or cancel ’cause of missing fan?

Now that the missing Metallica fan investigation has been turned into criminal, this should worry fans if the rest of the Metallica tour should continue or not.

The band might have to stop touring so they can investigate with the Charlottesville, Virginia police. They will probably get sent in for questioning.

The Associated Press reports:

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5iPgfeOm2b2SUwCGU9W2K4bsJC9mAD9BFOHG80

I’m not blaming the band of a crime or anything ’cause I know they weren’t responsible for her dissapearance. They were too busy with the show while all that was happening.

If the rest of the tour cancels, that wouldn’t bother me…because a missing girl is more important than music. I have tickets for the Metallica show in Albany, N.Y. Nov. 12th. If the shows are still on, that’s cool. If not, I’m alright with that as well.

This story is pretty creepy. Definitely sounds like an abduction to me.

It was very good of the band to help out, very nice of them.

The band might have to cancel the tour since this case is heating up. Maybe not the whole tour, but maybe a few shows.

Thought: Bands/artists that make MTV/VH1 profesional styled videos is silly I think…

I know unsigned and local bands are starting to make very expensive profesionally made MTV/Vh1 styled music videos these days, but why? I know it’s the musicians way of getting their popular song out there but I don’t really see the point in making these videos. Making your music video that seems like a movie and trying to lip synch your own recording, just sounds kind of weird. It almost feels like a Broadway musical where people just walk around and they start singing all of a sudden.

I was never really that big of a fan of music videos with the exception of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit/Heart Shaped Box”, Pearl Jam “Alive/Jeremy”, are a few of my favorite music videos ever made. Most music videos are pretty bad and silly.

Why pay all that money to make a video when all you really need is to buy a cheap cam corder at the electronics store and record yourself playing live at home?

There is a reason that bands such as Pearl Jam and maybe a few others don’t do too many music videos.

I don’t think you’ll ever see me make these kind of music videos, ever. Simply because I don’t believe in hit songs and trying to dream of fame with these profesionally made videos.

I just think it’s better recording yourself live on video instead of acting over a recording that you just did.

Making videos is very pricey and so expensive. I think bands are better off spending money on more important things like gear, food/hotels for your tours, etc.

Unsigned bands/artists don’t really need to make these kind of videos, in my opinion.
