About my college thing…

So I went to ACC College in Glens Falls this afternoon to register to go back to school, but according to the school, I can’t register for classes at this point since I graduated high school with an IEP Diploma back in 1996. I didn’t know that. So now I’m going to have to study for the GED test so I can get a college education. So that means my college education won’t happen this soon, I’ll have to wait a while longer later this year. I want to pass the GED test so I can get an GED diploma. I really want to get a college education badily taking English courses to learn how to write better so I can hopefully start a book writing career or write for an newspaper/magazine or both. So the college thing won’t happen right away but hopefully in the near future. It’s getting worked on and I’m trying hard to make it happen.

So after that, I went and did a lot of clothes shopping since I was in need of new clothes. I also bought a few fun things for myself in Saratoga Springs. I picked up the game “Beijing Olympics 2008” for the PS3, I’m not much of a sports fan but I do love the Olympics, I enjoy Olympic video games and this game “Beijing Olympics 2008” for the PS3 is supposed to be a great one. I also picked up a couple of movies on DVD: “Alien Vs. Predator 2: Requiem” and “The Ruins” (a horror film, I got the unrated version), I haven’t seen these two movies yet but I will review them soon after I watch them.

I also picked up a couple of books for me to read while I’m on the plane to San Diego. Since the “Twilight” series are getting so popular, I went looking for the books of those series. There are four of those novels in the series, “Twighlight”, “New Moon”, “Eclipse” and the newest one “Breaking Dawn”. I bought them all except for “Eclipse”, none of the bookstores had “Eclipse” but I won’t give up trying to find that one. If they don’t have a copy of that book here in New York if it’s sold out everywhere, I will look at a bookstore in San Diego. I know these series are made for young adults, aka teenagers. But hey, the “Chronicles of Narnia” and “Harry Potter” books were written for young adults but people in all ages have been reading them anyways. You’re never too old to read any book you want. And besides, I’m interested in vampire stories which is what made me want to get these.

This was the most of shopping I’ve done all year long, I usually don’t do this much, I was just getting prepared for my San Diego vacation in a couple of weeks.

Now I’m home to relax for the rest of the night.

BREAKING NEWS: Ric Flair parts ways with WWE…

Of all those storylines on WWE TV that wrestling legend Ric Flair is retiring from WWE, it turns out he didn’t really retire. Announced on WWE.com, Ric Flair was let go of his contract. Yes, there is a big difference between “retirement” and “departing”. Departing ways is not really a retirement.

Ric Flair also announced that he is available to get hired and booked into wrestling shows for other Indy feds that are not WWE related. Does The Nature Boy Ric Flair has some negative beef with Vince McMahon in real life? Seems so.

Flair’s sudden departure from WWE happened just after a few months he’s been inducted into the Wrestling Hall of Fame. Flair had a very long 35 year career in the wrestling business, mostly spending his entire life in WCW when that company used to be around in the old days. He is a 16 time world heavy weight champion and Ric Flair has been known to put on some very good and controversial matches.

In his mic speeches out in the ring, he has been known to go off sounding angry almost all the time, yelling through the mic at the top of his lungs with his face getting red and saying memorable catchprases such as “High styling and profiling”, “To be the man, you got to beat the man”, and of course, “WwwwoOOOOoooo…”.

Throughout most of his WCW run, he mostly played a heel. He formed this group called the 4 Horsemen which inluded members Arn Anderson, Lex Luger, Chris Benoit, Sting, and many others.

After WCW officially went out of business Flair rejoined WWE in 2001 becoming the very first 50% owner of the WWE while Vince owns the other half storywise… which lead to a heated feud against Vince McMahon. Flair being RAW General Manager, inspired Vince to reunite the nWo which included Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Hollywood Hogan. This is when Hollywood Hogan was first brought in as a heel to feud with Flair and take WWE out of business. The storyline with nWo vs. WWE failed because Hogan was forced to turn into a Red and Yellow babyface, back into the American Hero he was once before. Back then, Flair never really wrestled, he just performed in storlyines for a while, later in the years in WWE, Flair decided to continue wrestling again, doing something he loved. Being the legend that Flair is, Flair would wrestle against anybody, not just against other main eventers, he would give young wrestlers an opportunity to wrestle against him in WWE.

In WWE, Flair had a long feud against superstars like Vince McMahon, Randy Orton, and Mick Foley. Ric Flair’s last appearance on WWE RAW, he confronted Chris Jericho out in the ring and challenged him to fight in a parking lot but was ejected from the building by Vince McMahon.

With WWE no longer working with Flair, don’t worry, you can betcha TNA is gonna want him and I think Flair will sign with TNA. A lot of former WWE stars are working for TNA. If Flair doesn’t like how WWE is running, I’m sure he’ll like working for TNA wrestling. I sure would love to see Flair wrestle against Kurt Angle and Sting again.

EDIT: Correction – Ric Flair was never the RAW General Manager, he was the 50% owner of the WWE storywise, not in real life.

Report: “Days of Our Lives” may still be airing during the summer Olympics…

For the fans of “Days of Our Lives” soap opera, if you don’t want to miss any of the good upcoming storylines in the month of August, (especially the return of Stefano Dimera) not too worry!! While the full hour of the show may not be aired during the Olympics, starting on August 11th, “Days of Our Lives” will feature two short term storylines during the Olympic games. Meaning that NBC will air only two small parts of the show during the games. Some areas in the USA may not be able to see the show at all during the Olympics (lets hope NY state is not on that list).

One storyline they will air is the return of Stefano Dimera and the second storyline will probably focus on the character Nicole Walker. Other characters of the show will of course be involved like Steve, Kayla, Marlena, John, EJ, Sami, Lucas, and others.

More on it here:

http://daysofourlives.about.com/b/

Aaaahh, I see. This is a ploy to get more ratings of Days since Stefano is coming back and they want Olympic fans to be watching that character.

It’s good news that the show is still on, it is starting to get good again.

Report: Rage Against the Machine plays thundering set that got audience into riot and violence…

Sources are saying that the iconic metal rap rockers Rage Against the Machine played their most tightest and thundering rock set in the history of the band’s career. When you get the audience going into a riot and going fuckin’ wild, you’ll know it’s true!

Tom Morello, Zach De La Rocha and the boys took the stage last night at Lollapalooza 2008 the longtime music festival being runned and owned by rock musician Perry Ferrell. Their set starts off which sounds like a fire alarm going off, the alarm sound goes on for like a few minutes while a red star appears on the screen giving the audience a clue of who the next band is. When Zach finally walked on stage, the audience started screaming. Then they were off immediately not wasting any time and blasted into thunder rap/rock.

During the band’s set, the crowd got too aggressive and violent that the band had to slow down their set and stop a few times to wait for the audience to calm down. There were no serious injuries or deaths but the medical staff at Lollapalooza treated fans that suffered small bruises and dehydration. Only two fans during the Rage set were thrown out of the concert by security due to violent behavior.

RATM played most of their classic hits such as “Bulls on Parade”, “Testify”, “Bullet to the Head” and plenty more. Rage has not played any new material live yet as I don’t think the band is writing new material just yet.
