Not A Cool Video: Ice T keeps the online war against Soulja Boy going…

More trash talking by Ice-T! It’s obvious Ice-T saw Soulja Boy’s youtube response and it didn’t take long for Ice-T to respond back. Soulja Boy responded to Ice-T giving Ice-T some friendly advice to revive rap music and saying Soulja respects Ice-T, but Ice-T here slams the poor kid some more! Ice-T even welcomes Soulja Boy to call the man by phone to settle the drama privately. I’m still on Soulja’s side!

Although Ice-T apologizes for all the name calling like “Eat a Dick” and things like that, Ice-T still thinks Soulja’s music is garbage. Ice-T does have a right to an opinion like everyone does, sure but hey, Ice-T is the one that started it. And Ice-T here is blaming Soulja for starting the war.

Who would win in a streetfight? Soulja or Ice-T? Soulja looks like a tough kid, he could kick Ice T’s ass! Shut the hell up Ice-T, you big mouth. Go back to your breast implanted blonde of a wife. Keep it up, and you could help lose ratings for “Law and Order SVU”!

Metal Gear Solid 4

Since this game has been getting great reviews online, I decided to buy this today. Haven’t played it yet and don’t think I will today. I still want to try playing Grand Theft Auto IV online still.

As far as getting the stuff like the ethernet network cable for the PS3, I don’t need to bother. Why? Because the ethernet is nothing more of the same internet cable. I have a wireless modem hooked up to my computer, so I will use that for my PS3 for playing online with. Because the Ps3 is very close to being like a real computer, that’s what the PS3 is, a computer and a blueray player both at the same time, that’s why the graphics are so high tech and impressive. I know the wireless modem is going to work the PS3 because it’s pretty much the same thing. I plan on giving this a try and it’ll probably work. Playing games online for the PS3 is the same thing as using the internet on the computer.

I’m glad I’ve thought of this today before I bought the stuff at the mall ’cause that would have been a waste of money. I’ll start playing Metal Gear Solid 4 soon, I want to try playing GTA 4 online first.

Film Review: Get Smart…

Starring: Steve Carell, Dwayne Johnson, Anne Hathaway, Alan Arkin, Terence Stamp, James Caan, and the Great Khali?

Directed by: Peter Segal

Well, I did wind up seeing “Get Smart” in theater this afternoon. A new comedy film that was adapted from the classic TV series.

Steve Carell plays Maxwell Smart who is Agent no. 86 known as a control agent. His mission is to fight against an evil crime nemesis known as Kaos. He partners up with Agent 99 with name not known but the character is played by the sexy Anne Hathaway to help along his mission. Maxwell always wanted to work with Agent 23 who is played by the Rock Dwayne Johnson but really never had the opportunity that he wanted. Maxwell must stop the evil Siegfried (played by Terence Stamp) from taking over the world. Maxwell has been given special gadgets to help along his mission.

My thoughts on the movie? I FUCKING LOVED IT!!!! It was actually one of the better new comedies in many years! This film has a mix of action and comedy both. The acting in the film was actually really good. Although the Rock isn’t in this movie much, he still stoled the show. I loved Anne Hathaway. Of course, Steve Carell is always awesome. Steve’s character Maxwell is very similar to his character Michael in “The Office”.

But in keep in mind though that the Rock is not the only wrestler having an acting role in the film. Current WWE star, The Great Khali is in the film also. The Great Khali is the one that Maxwell befriends with in the film, the big giant Indian guy. The Great Khali whose real name is Dalip Singh is an Indian wrestler who plays himself in “Get Smart”. Dalip Singh was one of Terence Stamp’s goons in the film. The Great Khali was actually great in this film although he is kind of boring in WWE. And guess what!!!! Khali speaks English in this film when he doesn’t in WWE!!! How ironic is that?

There is also a hilarious cameo appearance by “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest that got me laughing!

The film was very enjoyable. I didn’t get bored once, it was entertaining and I had a smile on my face pretty much throughout the entire film and had a few good laughs. The action scenes were even good too. It’s about time a decent comedy came out!!! This movie deserves a sequel!!!

Score for “Get Smart” = **** (4 stars as in excellent)

My top 10 Favorite guitarists of all time!

Since I’m a big music lover, a lover of mostly rock music, I’m sure many of you wonder who my favorite guitarists are. Like what famous guitarists out there that I look after to and what famous guitarists inspire me. I don’t listen to acoustic as some may think since I play acoustic, not electric. But I am a rock and roller. Just because I play acoustic, does not mean it’s the only type of music I listen to is folk and country/bluegrass that most acoustic guitarists listen to these days. I am strictly a rock guy!

Here are my top ten guitarists of all time:

1. Jimmy Page

(The man that inspired me to pick up the guitar in the first place, my main hero and my main influence!)

2. Neil Young

(I loved Neil for years, he’s not only great with his songwriting from either electric or acoustic, but in my opinion, he’s one of the best lead guitarists around. He gets a lot of respect in his songwriting skills, but his lead soloing gets ignored. I’m obsessed with Neil’s music)

3. Jimi Hendrix

(Another musician and artist that I can listen to all day and never get tired of him. Hendrix is god and a guitar playing genius!)

4. Eddie Van Halen

(A very important guitarist in my music life, he’s one of the guitarists that I idolized for a long time, Eddie was brilliant back in his old days and he still is now…)

5. Kurt Cobain

(Kurt wasn’t technically skilled, he couldn’t shred, but it didn’t matter, it was all about the songwriting he did for Nirvana. Most Nirvana songs were simple and basic, but Kurt played them however he wanted and had his own style. No matter how many people out there try to cover Nirvana songs, Kurt’s style can’t be duplicated)

6. Joe Satriani

(“Surfing With the Alien” changed my life in so many ways, this was the album that made me want to try and become a better lead guitar player. I became hooked to the Satch ever since. I had the opportunity to see Satch live in concert at Spac one year and it’s a night I’ll never forget! The man is a genius and one of the best around!)

7. Angus Young

(Another important guitarist I’ve always looked after, I always liked Ac/Dc, been listening to the band ever since I was a child, this man is hands down a total badass live stage performer!)

8. Kirk Hammett

(Metallica is not everyone’s favorite band anymore, but like them or not, Kirk Hammett is still an amazing guitarist and still one of the best guitarists of this day, I’ve always looked after Kirk)

9. Joe Strummer of the Clash

(Really big fan of the Clash here, Joe Strummer was one of the best punk rock guitarists in history. He could come up with some catchy riffs and wrote catchy songs. I’ll never get tired of listening to the Clash’s music)

10. Dimebag Darrell

(I’ve been a huge fan of Dimebag and Pantera even before he died, he was pretty important to me. I’ve closely followed his lesson columns and read all of his interviews with Guitarworld as well. RIP Dime)

It’s time for a new demo album I think!

I’ve been thinking lately that I think it’s about time for me to go back into the studio to record some songs again. Profesional studio quality. I’ve made a 10 song studio demo album way back in 2006 and when I put that out for the internet, it was a success. I’ve got good responses on the songs. I titled it “Dedication” for internet release. All those songs I wrote on it, “Evil Fred”, “Mr. Tough Guy”, “Time Bomb”, etc. were all written and recorded back in 2006. I feel that disc was a success since it got a good internet response and people has requested burned copies of that CD in person which I did give out to good amount of folks out there.

I’ve been writing new songs over the last two years since that disc. As you heard some of them already, the newer songs such as “Heroes Can Save You”, “Demons Have Taken Your Soul”, “Brain Is Gone”, “Be On the Run”, etc. I think it’s about time to make a new 10 song studio demo of those new songs this year. I don’t want to bring older songs back, I want to keep writing the new ones, keep making new and fresh ideas. To be more original. You don’t want to repeat yourself musically.

Whenever I discover the 10 new songs to put on the next disc, I will definitely go back into the studio again. I’m just waiting for the good songs to release publicily. Of course, I’ll record a few brand new songs for the demo album that no one’s ever heard before just like I did with the last one.

I actually would love to release a real CD sometime, a CD with a CD booklet, lyrics, credits, cover art, etc. But like I always say, I can’t afford all that profesional CD manufacturing although I would like to do something like that in the future. I’m not a wealthy enough person to have my own profesional album. But I can afford studio time though, that’s about it. I just go into the studio record the tunes, and give out burned copies of my music for free to whoever wants one.

I think I will go back into the studio again, possibly next year in 2009. I need a new batch of songs to put out. I’m thinking of going for Edie Road studios in Greenwich, Marc Fuller’s studio. Rob Skane has been reccomending me to try recording there at some point and I’m actually thinking about it.

I’m a musician and songwriter and always writing stuff all the time. I’m just like everyone else that I enjoy getting my songs heard by people too whether people hate it or enjoy it. It’s all good. Yep, I definitely need to release a new demo CD soon.

I do record my songs on Pro Tools, but I’m no Pro Tools expert “yet”. I’m not a profesional producer enough so I can sound great in my Pro Tools. For now I just use Pro Tools to record my songs just to get the music off my chest like what you do on a regular 4 track. I would like another batch of studio quality songs which is why I’m thinking about getting studio time again.

Having studio quality songs in perfect sound is nice ’cause you get a much better response from listeners. The next one will probably be the same thing, just me and my acoustic. No full band yet, I don’t think. A 2nd demo will happen soon. Probably next year in 2009 so I can come up with some cash for studio time because this summer I’m saving money for my vacation for San Diego in August, I got my flight booked already!

Report: “Get Smart” tops the box office this weekend!

“Get Smart” a new comedy starring Steve Carell, Dwayne Johnson and Anne Hathaway, surprisingly tops the box office. It didn’t break any world records but it did well. “Get Smart” made $39.2 million while Mike Myers new movie “The Love Guru” pretty much flopped. M. Night Shyamalan’s new movie “The Happening” also flopped big time.

It’s about time Steve Carell got a successful comedy since the “40 Year Old Virgin” eh?

The Associated Press reports:

I have plans of going to the movies tomorrow on my day off of work and I’m thinking about seeing “Get Smart” don’t know. I also want to see “The Incredible Hulk” and “You Don’t Mess With the Zohan” so I’ll make up my mind tomorrow when I decide something. I’ll let you know what I see by reviewing the film.

BREAKING NEWS: Tom Brokaw “is” Tim Russert’s official replacement for “Meet the Press”…

Yep, I knew it! As I already predicted, it was pretty obvious NBC News were going to choose Tom Brokaw to take over Tim Russert’s place.

Tom Brokaw will host “Meet the Press” throughout the 2008 election season.

Tom Brokaw is a legendary TV figure who was the head anchor for “NBC Nightly News” for over 21 years, then retired, Brian Williams took his spot.

Reuters reports:

Perfect choice, I’m glad NBC went for Brokaw!

BREAKING NEWS: Confirmed…Amy Winehouse has emphysema, not tuberculosis…

While it is confirmed that Amy Winehouse does not have tuberculosis, Amy’s father Mitch revealed the shocking news to the Daily Mail UK newspaper that she has emphysema. The same disease that legendary talk show host Johnny Carson died of. She only has 70 percent of lung capacity and she could be confined to a wheelchair in months. Even worse, she could possibly be forced to wear an oxygen mask permamently if she wans to live longer. This put a lot of worries whether or not she will perform the Nelson Mandela concert she is still scheduled for.

Mitch also wants all of her drug dealer friends including rocker Pete Doherty to stay away from her. Amy’s husband Blake Fielder Civil vows to get off drugs and admits to being responsible for getting Amy on crack, he apologizes to Mitch about his mistakes.

The Daily Mail reports:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1028390/My-beautiful-Amy-emphysema-Winehouses-father-speaks-warns-Pete-Doherty-stay-away-her.html

Yep, it’s happening folks. She’s getting close to dying.

I always thought Blake and Pete Doherty were responsible to keeping her on crack.

Like I said before, I know it ain’t cool to predict death on someone, but I predict she’ll be RIP’ed before the end of the year.

See what fame and fortune can do to ya? You hang out with the wrong people when you’re famous, they’ll think it’s all cool and good to party with a famous person, yet look at all them, drugs and partying can destroy your lives pretty quickly.

While I am a huge fan of Amy’s music, I don’t think we’ll ever hear any new music by her ever again.

Report: Paparazzi vs. The Surfers at Malibu beach…

Actor Matthew McConaughey was the only celebrity beach surfer at Malibu beach, he was surfing alone out in the ocean. Yep, you guess it, at least 10 paparazzi were there taking pics of Matthew surfing. However, a whole gang of surfers didn’t like it.

The paparazzi hanging at Malibu beach were thrown out by the surfers. The surfers came over ordering the paps to leave area, of course, the paps refuse. They fight and argue for a few minutes, then a brutal fight broke out. The paps immediately gave up and left while the Surfers kept laughing and making fun of them as they walk away.

I’m sure the surfers know it’s a free country so anyone is welcome on the beach, I think the surfers were trying to defend and stick up for Matthew. The surfers hate the paparazzi just as much as the celebrities do, so the surfers decided to do something about it to respect Matthew’s privacy.

TMZ reports and see the video for all the action at Malibu:

 http://www.tmz.com/2008/06/21/point-break-2-surfers-attack-paps-in-malibu-2/

Yeah!

The paps got what they deserved! The surfers did a great thing. They did it to respect a celeb’s privacy like I said above.

If I was there, I would have joined in on the action!
