BREAKING NEWS: Trey Anastasio is now a FREE man!!! Graduated from drug court!!!

Former Phish man Trey Anastasio is a free man and successfully graduated from drug court in Fort Edward. Trey was one of the 11 graduates in the drug court program. The 11 graduates were in the court room getting their award by the judge for a job well done. Trey graduated after 14 months, and he’s been here since 18 months after his arrest in Whitehall, N.Y. The famous guitarist currently resides in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Trey could soon be a free man for good, the judge could drop his charges soon it looks like so he can move out of town if he chooses to. Chief Lapachelle who is the one who arrested Anastasio in Whitehall became close friends with Anastasio and Lapachelle hopes Trey will stick around longer so he can put on a concert to celebrate his graduation in Washington County.

Congratulations to Trey! A Trey Anastasio solo concert in Washington County before he leaves would be great! I’d definitely go to that show if the concert happens. I’m sure Trey would be down for a concert in this area.

The Listening Room: Snoop Dogg gone country, see his new music video “My Medicine” featuring Willie Nelson…

Snoop Dogg actually has a rap song with guitar playing? This song is off his new album “Ego tripping”, and surprisingly enough, Snoop does a country song on it, it’s titled “My Medicine” which is of course, a song about weed, he’s dueting with Willie Nelson in the tune.

My thoughts on the song? It fucking ROCKS! I LOVE IT! This song makes me want to pick up the album although I’m not much of a rap fan!

I agree with all the #1 choices.

I disagree with “Titanic” and the original “Star Wars” being in there ’cause in my opinion, they aren’t the best ever made.

I am dissapointed that “Superman II” or “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” didn’t make the science fiction list.

“Big” starring Tom Hanks a fantasy? I consider that film a romantic comedy. While “Big” is a great film it is no where near considered the best work.

If they wanted a Tom Hanks film in the lists, “Big” shouldn’t even be in there. They should have put “Philadelphia” in the Court Room drama section and maybe “Forrest Gump” in the Epic section too.

Report: How to become an internet celebrity…

Yes, there is a such thing of becoming an internet celebrity, there are ways to get your 15 minutes of fame online and make it spread nationally. It worked for people like Perez Hilton, Tila Tequila, Chris Crocker, Tay Zonday and plenty more to list.

Click here to see how these people do it:

http://nymag.com/news/media/47958/

Am I on my way there? You may ask?

Either way I don’t care. I’m not blogging and playing music for fame.

If I do happen to get my 15 minutes of national fame over this in the future, that’s fine. I won’t be so glorified over it, I’ll just continue to do what I do. Blogging my honest thoughts about entertainment news.

Report: “Weird” Al hints making topical songs for Itunes…

“Weird” Al Yankovic, an accordion playing parody comedy musician has finally got a new music update. “Weird” Al has spoken to Billboard that he may be going a lot more topical in his music with the help of Itunes. He says he is planning on using Itunes to release his new songs early even if he is not ready to make an album yet.

Weird Al has plans to launch a new tour this summer and he is currently living in Hawaii.

Billboard reports:

Hmmm, sounds like Weird Al is hinting us about going back into the studio again.

I wonder what songs he will parody next? I can definitely see him parodying that Weezer song “Pork and Beans”, hands down. I’d like to see him try Tay Zonday’s “Chocolate Rain”, that be hilarious if he did that one. And obviously most of today’s music in 2008, ’cause Weird Al has always been known to parody songs in current music that are popular.

It’s good to hear from Al Yankovic again.

Report: The Rock to Steve Carell, “Do you smell what the Rock is kissing?”

Is the Rock going gay in real life? Who knows! The Rock admits to enjoying locking lips with The Office star Steve Carell who he stars with in the “Get Smart” movie which is out this weekend! Yes, Dwayne and Steve make out in “Get Smart”, it’s been said that the man on man makeout scene in “Get Smart” was a real kiss. I believe the Rock plays a gay character in the film.

FOXNews reports:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,368304,00.html

Maybe this is the reason for Dwayne and his wife divorcing? I know bad joke.

There is nothing wrong with experimenting homosexuality just for a film, that’s it. I don’t think the Rock will come out of the closet in real life although he enjoyed that one experience.

Thought: When will Ac/Dc give us their new album?

Ac/Dc confirmed they’re working on a new record, they confirmed they will sell it at Wal-Mart first. I am willing to bet the new Ac/Dc album will come out around the fall, they’re gonna try and compete with Metallica.

The question is, what will the new Ac/Dc album will sound like? Is it going to be a bluesy rock album that you can headbang to like most of their albums? Their last studio album “Stiff Upper Lip” was ok, but of course, Ac/Dc’s older stuff are always better.

I just hope the new Ac/Dc album will be good, I’m hoping it’ll be their best since “Back In Black”. I like Ac/Dc’s new music, don’t get me wrong but I don’t think they’ll ever make a great album that’ll be just as good as “Back In Black” again, but who knows.

Ac/Dc has been quiet about the album title and release date. I’m itching to hear a new song by the band already. They need to start making platinum records again as they did with “Back in Black”. I hope the songwriting on the new upcoming disc will be tight, aggressive and catchy songs like they have always been known for. What I’m saying is, the band needs to go back to their old roots again if they want to be successful again. I hope the new album don’t dissapoint.

When the band comes back, I’m sure we’ll get the same old Ac/Dc, Brian Johnson wearing all black and wearing that weird hat, Angus Young with that red SG and schoolboy suit, and everything else.

Report: Billy Ray Cyrus didn’t know photos at Vanity Fair was stripping Miley down…

Remember Vanity Fair defended themselves saying that Miley’s parents were in present during the Miley Cyrus nude shooting for the Vanity Fair magazine cover? It appears it isn’t true. Billy Ray Cyrus himself spoke out about this controversy publicily for the first time on the Today Show with Meredith Viera.

Billy Ray wasn’t aware of what was going on in the Vanity Fair photo studio, he said, “Her publicist was there … I didn’t know they were going to strip her down and wrap her with a blanket”.

While Billy Ray was scheduled to take a pic with his daughter MIley for that same Vanity Fair magazine, he wasn’t aware of the magazine having plans to shoot Miley nude with a blanket wrapped around her. After Billy Ray’s photoshoot with Miley, he left the studio to play a concert for the troops in Washington. Then they shot her nude after he left.

Rather than being worried and suspicious about Vanity Fair, instead he says, “but stuff happens, it’s life”.

More on it here:

http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/2008/06/17/2008-06-17_billy_ray_surprised_by_daughter_miley_cy.html

If that was my daughter I would have pressed charges on the magazine for endangering the welfare of a child. This is not considered child porn because Miley wasn’t shot hardcore, it was PG-13 type of photos if you know what I mean. But I think it’s still illegal to have a naked 13 year old girl in a photo studio. And all Billy Ray had to say was, “stuff happens, it’s life”? Pffffttttt….what kind of father are you Billy Ray? I’d say a terrible one in fact.
