Cool Video: The Ellen Degeneres wedding announcement…

Here it is, right here…

As far as my thoughts on lifting the gay marriage ban for California, I would say go for it. Like gays or hate ’em, every human being deserves to be treated equal.

Everyone is different and if people want to be who they are, they do whatever they choose to make ’em happy. Nothing wrong with homosexuality at all in my opinion it doesn’t bother me a bit. People who make fun of and hate gays are selfish people who just have no respect for others. California legalizing gay marriage would be a big step up to legalize gay marriage in the entire United States.

Although I am straight, I do respect ’em.

Not A Cool Video: Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty crackhead friends playing with baby mice…

Pete Doherty put up a video where he and Amy were playing with baby mice, they were being rough on the mice, the mice are just tiny babies.

Fuck both Amy and Pete! What kind of pricks would show something like that to the public internet?

You can tell they are high on crack in that video.

I hope law enforcement catches that video and charge them both for animal cruelty! Drug addicts playing with baby mice is not fucking cool! What the hell are they thinking! Dumbasses!

Report: Tyrese Gibson confirmed to play B.A. Baracus in “The A-Team” remake…

Male model superstar and actor Tyrese Gibson announced he is confirmed to play B.A. Baracus in the upcoming “A-Team” remake directed by John Singleton…

More on it here:

http://chud.com/articles/articles/14728/1/TYRESE-PITY-THE-FOOL/Page1.html

A horrible choice for B.A. in my opinion. I think Ice Cube would have been perfect.

A muscular hunk kind of B.A. would suck.

Mr. T was big and huge, and Tyrese just doesn’t have Mr. T’s look.

I smell another bomber and this might be another “wait for DVD” thing…

Thought: More thoughts on famous bands giving out free music to the internet…

I just wanted to bring up a few more things on this “Famous bands offering free music to the internet” deal.

First off, I’d just like to say that many of you would think, “Famous bands are able to give out free music because they already are famous”. WRONG! I’ll have to disagree with that one. Let me tell you why. When a band like Radiohead or Nine Inch Nails drop off a major label. It’s a fact that they are no longer famous. This happens to any band signed to a major label, if you’re famous, if you drop off a major label, you’re no longer famous, it’s just as simple as that folks. When you drop off a major label, you don’t have the good opportunities anymore. 1) You won’t be performing the huge arenas and baseball stadiums anymore, you’ll be playing the small clubs and small venues again 2) You won’t be getting much media coverage in the national media news anymore 3) You’ll have to do your own marketing of your own music rather than the label doing it for you, and this list could go on.

Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails continue to get articles  in the national news because they were the two biggest bands of the world. They are no longer famous, they are just in the news ’cause they keep releasing free music ’cause of their dislike toward the major label industry. Any band and any musician can give away free music. It’s your choice on how you want your music heard, you can either force fans to pay to listen or give ’em out for free, enough said.

And secondly, everyone is acting like that Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails giving out free music for the first time. WRONG! Bands that drop off major labels and giving out free music has been happening way way way before Radiohead has been doing it. It’s been going on for years. This is NOTHING NEW PEOPLE!

The reason  other bands don’t make the national news headlines for this is because they aren’t as popular as Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails were. Ever since Radiohead and NIN started doing this, other major label bands started, The Cure followed, then Coldplay, etc. They all inspired that with the idea of Radiohead and NIN. This is not a new revolution folks, bands in the music industry has been doing this for years and years. Bands giving out free music only made the national headlines is because of Radiohead, period.

Before Radiohead gave out their album “In Rainbows” for whatever price you want, when was the last time you saw them in the headline news? It has been a long time hasn’t it? Sure was. After all this time we thought Radiohead was done with music, they weren’t until now. They were still playing after all these years pretty quietly and the media has been ignoring them until this internet thing.

Giving out free music to the internet is a good thing and I’m glad to see more bands doing it.

Report: Lars Ulrich promises new Metallica album to be “dynamic”…

The boys in Metallica continue to hint the fans that this new album will be the best ever made in a long time. Lars explains the new album will include only 11 tracks and the songs will be long (the band came up with 26 songs for the album but of course had to choose a certain amount for one disc). The songs will be between 7 – 10 minutes long. The last couple of albums, Metallica has been writing shorter songs but now they’ve gotten back into writing long songs again like they used to do in the 80’s. Lars explains this record won’t be anything like you heard in the 90’s. This will be totally different than “Load”, “Re-load” and “St. Anger”.

Billboard reports:

The more I hear about the new album, the more it becomes an anticipated album to buy, I’m looking forward to it. Bring on the new Metallica album. Fuck what the haters say boys! Do your own thing!

Report: Ellen Degeneres first celebrity to get married in California…

Well that didn’t take long! As soon as gay marriage was legalized officially, Ellen Degeneres the talk show host and stand up comic announced on her show in a taping that she’s getting married to her longtime girlfriend Portia De Rossi. Consider this to be the first gay celebrity to be married in California.

The episode will air today on The Ellen Degeneres show and I’m sure the announcement will be all over youtube later today as well.

The Associated Press reports:

Many more gay celebrities will follow indeed.

Jodie Foster and Lance Bass anyone?

Report: James Hetfield speaks on the new Metallica album…

Rollingstone magazine spoke with James Hetfield about the new Metallica album at Flea’s benefit show. James hinted in the interview that the band is bringing their past sound in their music today by describing the new album, “The direction is embracing our past in the now”.

Read the interview here:

http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2008/05/15/metallica-play-intimate-los-angeles-benefit-show-plus-james-hetfield-reveals-latest-album-news/

From the clips I’ve heard of a new song in the “Mission: Metallica” website, it did kind of sound 80’s speed metal pretty damn close to it.

After the bomb of “St. Anger”, I think the band will get huge and successful again like they once were in the 80’s and early 90’s during the Black album days. I think the band want to get out of their “alternative” rock sound and go back to what they were before, a metal band. Hetfield just revealed that in the interview.

They need their metal and heavy sound back. They need their old fans back. I’m already feeling that their next album will be the best since the Black album.
