I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.

Ac/Dc’s “Rock Or Bust” is actually not a bad album, it’s pretty good…

A lot of people claim that Ac/Dc never changed their style over the years. Even the band themselves made that claim. I disagree. I listened to Ac/Dc’s  new album, “Rock Or Bust” earlier today and I was pretty impressed with the album. Despite Mal not playing guitar on it… the album is still good. Their style is a little bit different with their new guitarist, Stevie Young. I think the riffs are great and when I heard the album, I still felt that Mal was playing guitar on it even if he’s not in the line-up anymore sadly. The riffs are really great and catchy. This is Brian’s best singing and Angus’s guitar solo’s are badass as usual.

This album may sound a little too pop and every song sounds like a radio friendly single but it’s still a fun album. Not the best Ac/Dc album. In my opinion, “The Razor’s Edge” will always be the best Brian era album. Nothing will top that album. I only listened to “Rock Or Bust” album once today and I’ll have to listen to it a few more times. “Rock Or Bust” is still a pretty tight album and fun to listen to. I dug it.

Ac/Dc has always been one of those bands that you either love or hate but I love them. Always did. They are one of my top 10 favorite legendary bands other than Led Zep, The Allman Bros., The Doors, Metallica and The Clash.

“Rock Or Bust” is definitely a must listen.

Disappointed with “Terminator: Genisys” trailer, might wait for DVD rental on this one…

Okay, I’m thinking about crossing off “Terminator: Genisys” as one of those movies for 2015 and might wait for rental on this one. Instead of a re-boot like they promised, it turned out to be a remake of both “The Terminator” and “T-2: Judgement Day”. Why not create a whole new story with new characters and not having anything to do with the first two films???

On top of that, nobody can play the T-1000 liquid Terminator better than Robert Patrick can. I still prefer the originals, why ruin them???

Thumbs down.

Once again, nobody cares about local award shows, the whole idea is silly…

We understand what you’re trying to do, dude but nobody cares about awards. That’s why nobody supports this garbage. On top of that bands and music artists around here doesn’t have the time for it ’cause most of them are too busy making music and playing their gigs.  We’re not worried about awards. Everybody also knows that this show is all for your conflict of interest, we’re not stupid, dude.

The only people that DO care about this garbage event are your little gang of friends and those few who live under the delusion of supporting the “scene” positively.

You guys live under the delusion of this show “selling out” when I predict you probably will get like 10 people showing up or less.

How come you guys never showed photos of the awards? What do the trophies look like? I challenge you to post a photo of the award.

The title for Bond 24 is “Spectre” and full casting announced…

Here’s the living one-sheet for Bond 24, the title of the next film is, “Spectre”. The film will star Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, former WWE star Dave Bautista and Christoph Waltz.

The plot/synopsis haven’t been revealed yet, though. Notice that Judy Dench isn’t listed in the casting. I don’t want to reveal major spoilers but something happens to her character, M, in “Skyfall”.

WWE Star Dave Bautista in a Bond movie? Damn, that guy’s career is really taking off after him having a role in “Guardians of the Galaxy” in which I haven’t seen yet but will get around to it soon.

Looking forward to the next 007 flick and I’m sure we’ll get a trailer real soon.

Film Review: “Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1″…

Starring: Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Woody Harrelson

Directed by: Francis Lawrence

Today, I’ve just seen the new “Hunger Games” movie and here is my review:

Plot/Synopsis: When Katniss destroys the games, she goes to District 13 after District 12 is destroyed. She meets President Coin who convinces her to be the symbol of rebellion, while trying to save Peeta from the Capitol.

I’m reading a lot of fan reviews of what they thought of this movie and most of them are saying this film is disappointing ’cause they claim that this film is slow and boring. Not as action packed and violent like the first two were. In this Hunger Games movie, there was very little action scenes. It mostly focused on story and dialogue which is good actually. If you’re a teenager and a fan of the first two movies, you would probably find this movie disappointing but I didn’t.

I thought the film was very good but keep in mind this is only the first half of one really LONG movie. I’m happy they focused on more story and acting than the violence. It gave the actors and the cast a chance to shine with their acting talent which the film did exactly that. Everybody killed it in this movie: Jennifer was great, Phillip Seymour Hoffman of course killed it, Donald Sutherland was amazing as usual… everybody did a great job. It was a pretty intense movie and the film was a lot darker than the first two. The plot was pretty intelligent and I liked where the story was headed to. The story had some pretty interesting twists and turns.

“Mockingjay part 1” was only a buildup of what’s about to happen in the 2nd part so I’m sure the second part will be even better. Was the reason the first part didn’t have much violence and action scenes ’cause they were gonna save that stuff for the second part? I think so. I think they were saving the action stuff for “Mockingjay part 2”. In this movie, the less action scenes, the more drama this movie showed which is what I loved about it.

Before thinking about seeing these movies, you have to watch the first two films: “The Hunger Games” and “Catching Fire” first so you can understand the story and know what’s going on.

Oh yeah, the song that Jennnifer sings for the movie, “The Hanging Tree” is fuckin’ amazing. Loved it. That song didn’t go viral on the internet for no reason. I’m actually thinking about downloading that one song for my Ipod from the soundtrack.

This wasn’t the best “Hunger Games” movie but once you see the rest of “Mockingjay part 2”, I’m sure will be amazing. They’re just saving the best for the last.

I’ll give “Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1” a score of 4 out of 5 as in “good”. Looking forward to part 2 next year.

So I ended up buying the new Ac/Dc album, “Rock Or Bust” after all…

I know I said I wasn’t gonna get the new Ac/Dc album but I decided to get it out of curiosity. So I ended up getting their new album, “Rock Or Bust” today. I picked it up on physical CD instead of downloading the album from Itunes. I’ve always dug Ac/Dc both the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras. I’ve always been big on the band so I bought the CD to help support ’em. Looking forward to hearing the album.

I also picked up Amanda Palmer and The Grand Theft Orchestra, “Theatre Is Evil” album… the album that she was successful for Kickstarter with. They had one copy left of that album at F.Y.E. so I decided to grab it ’cause I know I wasn’t gonna find it anywhere else. I could have downloaded the album from Itunes but it’s good to have the physical CD of albums. I was surprised to see this Amanda Palmer album on the shelf at F.Y.E. so I couldn’t say no to this one. Looking forward to hearing this album too.

I didn’t get too much for myself this week. Had to do my Christmas shopping this month which is all done. Saw the new “Hunger Games” movie today as well and about to review that in a little bit.

Tom Cruise… I don’t understand all the hate toward him…

I know Tom Cruise is not everyone’s favorite actor but I can never understand why. I’ve always liked him. Love him or hate him, you just don’t want to admit that you watched most of his movies over the years like most of us. The guy really knows how to pick his movies. Although you don’t wanna admit it, I’m sure you’ve all seen his classics like “Top Gun”, “Rain Man”, “Cocktail”, “Legend”, “Risky Business”, “Born On The 4th Of July”, and many others. I’m sure you continue to watch his newer films as well.

Last week, I finally got around to watching Tom’s newest sci-fi movie, “The Edge of Tomorrow” and it was actually really good. I was surprised by it. The story was entertaining and the action scenes were a blast. Tom was actually fun to watch in that movie too.

I also listened to Tom’s podcast episode with “The Nerdist” on the Ipad last week. “The Nerdist” podcast hosted by Chris Hardwick, you’ve probably heard of it. While Tom may seem like an intimidating guy, he’s not really. After listening to that podcast, I was surprised on how normal and real he really was. On the podcast, Tom sounded down to earth and friendly to me. He was also funny and had a good sense of humor. He’s just a normal human being like the rest of us. He doesn’t take fame and fortune seriously. He got into the movie business ’cause he’s obsessed with movies and wanted to be a part of it. It wasn’t about the money and fame for him.

I never understood all the hate toward Tom Cruise over the years. He seems like a good dude to me. Maybe it’s his Scientology that people don’t like, that’s probably it but I don’t care about his religion. I think Tom is a talented man and he gives us a lot of good movies, love him or hate him. I’ve always respected him and had no problem with him over the years. He deserves more respect, in my opinion.

I warned ya before, the Benghazi investigation is not gonna die until the truth comes out…

Ya know something… different committees and other politicians in the House of Reps. can try to kill Trey Gowdy’s Benghazi investigation all they want to but no matter how hard they try, the Benghazi investigation is never gonna die. I warned ya plenty of times that people in Congress aren’t gonna let the Benghazi investigation die until the truth comes out and those who committed the crime and covered it up will be held accountable. I said it before, once the Benghazi case is closed and the mystery is solved… then we can move on from it.

I think the only reason that the Benghazi case is still going on ’cause Barack and Hillary are still standing. The Benghazi case won’t be closed until those two are thrown in jail. The Benghazi case will not be closed as long as Barack and Hillary are still standing.

Whether you like it or not, the truth of Benghazi is gonna come out somehow. It doesn’t matter how long it takes. The truth is gonna come out either way. As I said plenty of times before, it’s gonna be a long and difficult investigation but the truth is gonna come out.

I have a feeling that the truth of Benghazi won’t come out until after Obama’s presidency is over with but it’s preferably that it should come out during his presidency.

I don’t give a shit what anybody says. Barack being responsible for Benghazi is not conspiracy theory and most everyone knows he’s responsible. It shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Benghazi was orchestrated by the White House.

Even if Barack didn’t send those terrorists over, he still didn’t lift a finger to save those 4 Americans when he easily could have.

I care about those 4 Americans that were killed there and I vow to stay on this story until the case is closed and those are held accountable.

While it would be great to see Obama go to jail for his other crimes like immigration, NSA, IRS, etc. It’s preferably that he goes to jail over Benghazi. Benghazi is worthy of a life prison sentence for Barack and Hillary. Benghazi is serious stuff and should never be ignored just like 9/11/01 shouldn’t be ignored.

I would think that those who don’t think Barack and Hillary are responsible haven’t been following the Benghazi story at all. Benghazi matters, it really does. Anybody that doesn’t think so is an ignorant piece of shit who shouldn’t have the privilege to vote. We really gotta put Hillary in jail too ’cause we really shouldn’t have a cold-blooded murderer as president.

Movies to look forward to in 2015…

While you’re patiently waiting for my upcoming, “Top 15 Best Films of 2014” list to come out (which will come out at the end of the year), I thought it would be a good idea to list all of the movies I’m looking forward to next year in 2015.

Yeah, 2015 looks like it’s gonna be a pretty big fuckin’ year for films. Holy crap!!!

In this list, I’ll name 15 movies that I’m looking forward to in 2015, in no particular order:

  • Star Wars: The Force Awakens – (This one definitely tops the list, of course, it’s Star Wars!!!)
  • Jurassic World: (I’m a huge Jurassic Park fan, love all the movies, even III was really good)
  • Terminator: Genisys (I’m a huge Terminator fan and glad Arnie’s back for this one, looking forward to the trailer Thursday)
  • Bond 24: (I’m a big 007 fan too and so far, “Skyfall” is the best Daniel Craig 007 flick, hopefully the next one will be just as good. The title will be revealed this Thursday as well)
  • The Avengers: Age of Ultron: (I loved the first Avengers movie and will be seeing the second)
  • Pitch Perfect 2: (Loved the first Pitch Perfect film, will be seeing the second)
  • Pan: (The Peter Pan movie with Hugh Jackman looks great, I’m definitely there)
  • Fast and Furious 7: (I love the F & F movies, and I was real impressed with F & F 6 from last year. F & F 7 looks even better)
  • The Hateful Eight: (New Quentin Tarantino movie, WOOT!!! I look forward to every movie he comes out with)
  • Mad Max: Fury Road: (Despite Mel not being in it, the film actually looks pretty badass. I’ll check it out)
  • Vacation: (The new National Lampoon’s movie with the Griswolds. Yes, Chevy will reprise his legendary role as Clark Griswold. The Griswold’s are coming back to the big screen. I’m sure we’ll see a trailer very soon!)
  • MI: 5: (Yeah, there’s another Mission Impossible movie coming out with Tom Cruise and it won’t come out until Christmas Day in 2015)
  • St. James Place: (This is a new Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks collaboration. This will be their 4th movie together actually. This movie is written by the Coen Bros. too. We’ll see a trailer pretty soon)
  • The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 2: (The final installment of the Hunger Games franchise. I’m planning to see “Mockingjay Part 1” tomorrow)
  • The Walk: (This is a Robert Zemeckis directed flick, a biopic film about the famous high-wire artist, Philippe Petit, where he walks on a wire between the World Trade Center buildings. I’m sure you’ve heard of that guy before, see the documentary about it, “Man On Wire” on Netflix)

I would have added, “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” but it got pushed back to 2016 sadly. Those are all the flicks I’m looking forward to next year. Enjoy!

Burt Reynolds is not broke, settle down people!!!

Rumors starting swirling the nets that Burt Reynolds lost all of his money after his announcement that he’s putting together an auction in Las Vegas to sell more than 600 items that he had in his movies and all sorts of memorabilia. Burt is quick on squashing the rumors about being broke as you can see in the article here.

Burt is not broke, people. He’s not gonna end up like Scott Stapp. Burt is still loaded. Why is Burt getting rid of a lot of his important stuff??? The actor says he’s just wants to get rid of ’em. He jokes that he’s sick of his seeing his own face hanging on the walls. Maybe he just wants to make more room for his house and  things like that.

Burt Reynolds is a genius, though. I’ve been a fan of his work over the years. Burt Reynolds is the shit!!! Hollywood legend, for sure!!!
