Report: Randy Blythe finally freed from Prague prison on bail…

While it’s good news that Lamb of God singer, Randy Blythe, is finally freed on bail, and he’s going back on tour with the band to play, Knotfest, I still kind of don’t trust him being back out there. He could do this to somebody else, if he gets too aggressive on stage. I’m sure the people in Prague are a little suspicious and worried too.

More on the story, here.

Brock says no to Gabby Douglas winning the gold, Russia should have won…no joke…

I’m a proud American, but that doesn’t mean I have to support every American athlete winning the gold at the Olympics. I don’t have to support Michael Phelps because he is an American and I don’t have to support the Fab 5 because they are Americans. When Gabby Douglas, the teen gymnastics sensation was announced the winner of gold last night, I’ve noticed that her or the other four girls in the USA team, didn’t show any respect to Russia again last night. They acted like Russia didn’t exist. They left the Russian girls crying in tears like they didn’t have a care.

While it’s great the USA dominate the Olympics like we usually do, we need to show more respect to the other countries we compete against.

Sometimes the other countries can be talented athletes too, and I’ll admit that China is interesting to watch. Gotta be real about stuff, folks. While I support USA athletes it is interesting seeing unique and different talents from other countries too. I’m glad the Fab 5 are dominating the gymnastics, but they need to show more respect to other countries, and not loving themselves and their huge egos. Make the losing teams feel good about the loss and show respect. The Fab 5 girls didn’t do any of that. They have hatred toward Russia and you can see it too. If you don’t, then you’re blind and clueless.

One final thought on this whole Chick Fil A debate…

One final thing that I would like to add along to the discussion, I decided to make a new post instead of editing in. There’s a new argument that came up in facebook, and the reason the gay community and “same sex” marriage supporters are upset about this, is not only because of Dan Cathy’s comments. It’s because some people are upset because Chick Fil A, donated money to anti gay organizations. Win Shape Foundation which is a partner of Chick Fil A, Win Shape donated $2 million to anti gay groups sometime in 2009/10.

I can understand why some would feel upset about that and why some people would boycott Chick Fil A because of the donation thing.

But if you think about it, there are plenty of people out there that are against same sex marriage. The world doesn’t revolve around same sex marriage supporters, and that’s what’s pissing me off. Those anti gay marriage organizations was made for people who are against same sex marriage. If you are against same sex marriage like myself, you can feel free to donate money to Chick Fil A and they’ll pass it along to those organizations. Not everybody supports “same sex” marriage. I’m sure there are also plenty of business owners whether a chain business or local business, some of them are probably against same sex marriage too. Not everyone have to support it or respect same sex marriage.  You have your own little group of supporting same sex marriage, we have our own little group of anti same sex marriage. Get the point? Good. I was gonna post that in my facebook page, but I didn’t want to keep the debate going ’cause people are going to keep disagreeing with me, the others are gonna think they’re right all the time. So I post it here instead.

Facebook has been exploding with Chick Fil A debates and rants all day. It’s overwhelming and giving me a headache. Now I’ll shut up about this.

Brock defends “Chick Fil A” and Dan Cathy, the company is widely misunderstood, and not homophobic…

Before I get to talking about why I think the backlash that the fast food chain, “Chick Fil A”, is getting is wrong and why they’re misunderstood by many of you, lets get an overview of what’s going on. Why this public backlash started to begin with.

Dan Cathy was interviewed by the Ken Coleman radio show back in June and said this controversial comment, “I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, ‘We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage’. I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about.” Then he told the Baptist press about “being guilty as charged” when talking about marriage equality and all that stuff. This is what made the Jim Henson company to no longer work with “Chick Fil A” ever again. Then the Chick Fil A company announced they were no longer selling the Muppets toys due to safety concerns and said it had nothing to do with the same sex marriage stance.

Yes, I think that covers everything on why the public is pissed off at, Chick Fil A. It’s mostly gays that are angry at Chick Fil A. Also, there are some straight people who support “same sex marriage”, they are angry at, Chick Fil A, too. There are mixed opinions of, Chick Fil A. Some are against same sex marriage like me and still support, Chick Fil A. There are even those who support gay people and still like, Chick Fil A. See? Mixed reactions to the company. Some hate the company, some still stand by them.

As for the Chick Fil A, Appreciation Day from yesterday, proves that the company has mixed reactions ’cause the company got a mix of supporters and protesters that came out for the event. The Appreciation Day had nothing to do with the same sex marriage stance, it was to help celebrate the company in a positive manner. Yet, negativity still got in the way because of all this same sex marriage bullshit.

Back to Dan Cathy’s comment, how in the hell is that bigotry? How is it offensive and hateful? It’s not. The whole point that Dan made is that America is trying to “redefine” marriage from what God originally intended marriage to be in the bible. A marriage should be between a man and a woman. Nothing wrong with that, and the point is pretty valid too. He is entitled to his own opinion, let him have it. What ever happened to freedom of speech in this country? That’s the problem here. The second we disagree with gay marriage, it automatically makes us evil homophobes. We don’t hate gay people, just the marriage part of it. You can’t change how marriage was originally supposed to be. Doesn’t work that way. Just because he is against same sex marriage, does not mean the entire, Chick Fil A, company is homophobic.

People are always looking at religious people being evil nutcases, just because they follow things from the bible. How are they hateful people? When you go on hating on people who are against same sex marriage, you are even more hateful than they are. No difference! That’s one thing that disgusts me about the political world when it comes to same sex marriage. Too much negativity, bullying and harassment going around, all over the place. The world is full of hate and to you “same sex marriage” supporters, you are no different ’cause you can be full of negative drama too.

The entire internet has been all over this Chick Fil A drama for days, and I’ve think I’ve about had it. Aren’t there better things in life to talk about? What about the Olympics going on? What about our bad economy, the job employment and the upcoming election? We need to discuss more important things and not this silly Chick Fil A, drama. How is Dan Cathy, CEO/President a bad guy. Do you know the guy? No. And for those complaining that he stopped selling the Muppets toys, that just the company’s decision. They’re just doing what’s right for business, that is all.

All those people that are against Chick Fil A, need to grow up ’cause they’re all acting pretty childish over this silly nonsense. This would be my last discussion about this on my blog ’cause I would rather get back to discussing good things like movies, music, and entertainment news. There’s nothing more to see here, so move along people.

Edit to Add: One last thing I wanted to say, read this little article, a Gay man writes an open letter to the public about his thoughts on this controversy, he also defends Dan Cathy and Chick Fil A, read this whole thing, check it out, here. Pretty good read!

I will take the time to defend Chick Fil A’s soon…

Soon, I will use this blog to defend Chick Fil A’s. They’ve been all over Facebook all day long in my news feed, and pretty much all weekend. The backlash this company is getting is ridiculously stupid and idiotic. They are just a company, doing what’s right for business and I will explain soon. I don’t think they are a homophobic company and I think people are getting the wrong idea about them. Gay people themselves are hating on this company for over silly reasons.

Yeah, it pisses me off that as soon as someone makes an opinion on gay marriage, it automatically makes them homophobic.

They’re just a restaurant people! On top of all this, all this controversy is good publicity for the restaurant, good or bad. Even though I never ate at Chick Fil A’s before, they get my support.

RANT: While I’m proud team USA in the Women’s Gymnastics division won the gold, I’m disgusted they didn’t show Russia much respect…

Well, people online love to rant about the Olympics. I don’t rant about the Olympics too much ’cause I like treat most athletes in a positive direction, but this one isn’t going to be so kind. It may be a controversial post, but it needs to be said.

Usually, when an athlete gets a big win like that, they usually congratulate their losing opponent right after the game is over with, as a way to show respect and make them feel better even if they lost. Yes, the 5 women, most notably known as the Fab 5 who went against Russia and Romania last night. The Fab 5 were very impressive, yes, don’t get me wrong, but their egos were over the top. The 5 US women didn’t show any sympathy for Russia and Romania, yet they celebrated with each other for a good long 10 minutes or more. They didn’t walk over to the losing team to shake their hands or hug them or whatever.

Yes, the Fab 5 may have shook their hands at the end when they received their medals of course, but they needed to show them more respect in the beginning. Sure, the US women’s team haven’t won the gold in gymnastics in years, so you may say they deserve a good long celebration, but they were all about themselves last night.

I noticed a few of the Russian women broke out crying because of a bad performance, yet the Fab 5 were all over each other for 10 minutes, while the other teams suffered a big loss. While I’m happy that Team USA won big, I’m also disgusted at the hate and disrespect of other countries in the Olympics. I hope I’m not the only one that noticed this? What the Fab 5 did was kind of disrespectful to the other teams.

Most American’s are happy for the Fab 5, but most people didn’t catch the fact that they didn’t care about the loss that the other teams suffered. It was an incredible performance with the young women, but they must show respect to their other opponents and I didn’t see any from them last night. Sorry to say this. Just had to.

Cool Video: Paranormal Activity 4 trailers hits online!!!

I’m a big fan of these movies. Love the storyline and the mysteries surrounding this Katie character. The last two, P.A. films, were prequels, this film looks like, it’s going to leave off right where the first film ended. In other words, this one is a sequel of the original P.A. film. It’s got to be ’cause the boy seen in this movie is Hunter, from “P.A. 2”. Katie is seen in the trailer a few times briefly.

Looks good, I’ll be in the theaters to see this one in Oct. I want to start buying these movies on BluRay soon.

Have I been watching the London Olympics???

Yes! I have been watching it most of this weekend, and having a blast too! I just enjoy seeing talented young athletes going for the gold and chasing their dreams. My favorite games to watch the most in the Olympics are swimming and gymnastics.

I was impressed with the young Dana Vollmer who won a swimming race, and she became the first woman in history to win gold under 56 seconds. Which is pretty impressive. I’ve been impressed with Missy Franklin too. Ryan Lochte for men’s swimming has also been impressing me. I don’t like Michael Phelps. Don’t like him at all. I’m glad he’s doing terrible this year. Time for him to give someone else a chance to shine.

I was blown away with the talented young women during the Gymnastics last night. That was the best gymnastics I’ve seen in a long time and it was fun watching them. Kudos to them, they should be getting all the credit and recognition, not the overrated and boring Michael Phelps.

The London Olympics is pretty exciting this year. I love the Olympic games!

Cool Video: The “Skyfall” trailer gave me goosebumps, and I’m ready to see it, I think…

The full domestic trailer for the next 007 flick, “Skyfall”, is finally here. The film looks really good too. Of course, all James Bond trailers try to make themselves really good. Hopefully “Skyfall” won’t disappoint, and it’ll be better than “Casino Royale”/”Quantum of Solace”. I did love “Casino Royale”, but I hated “Quantum of Solace”. I’m hoping “Skyfall” will be good. I’ll be seeing this one.

Report: Snoop Dogg changes his staged name, image and genre… he is now Snoop Lion…

After a little vacation in Jamaica, Snoop Dogg is completely retiring from the hip hop genre and wants to forget his past as a hip hop star. He changed his staged name, image and genre. He’s been inspired to play reggae music. He wants to start a reggae career under the, Snoop Lion, name. He already performed 5 new songs for a small crowd, while in Jamaica.

More on the story, here.

After years of making smash hit hip hop records, he’s turning his back on the hip hop industry and his longtime fans? Sure, looks like it! He can change himself, all he wants to, he will forever be known as, the Dogg.

On top of all this, Snoop, is not Jamaican, even though he think he is now. Snoop is an American and was born in California. Most reggae musicians over the years were actual Jamaicans. Snoop is just living in a fantasy world and being delusional. I understand how he wants to grow out of hip hop, the older he gets though, I’ll give him that respect.
