I'm a musician, singer/songwriter, blogger, writer, poet, bodybuilder, movie lover, music lover, video gamer, history/political buff, conservative/republican, etc. I like to do a lot of things.

When bands become obsessed making fun of me online… why they do it…

I’m okay with internet haters and people making fun of me online. I can deal with that stuff and stay above it pretty well. Why? Because I have better things to worry about then concentrate on that stuff which means little to me. I got a lot going on in my personal life off the computer, plus, all I care about doing is playing my music and working out, doing the fitness thing.

I don’t understand why other bands become obsessed making fun of me or bashing me online. They would go in this certain bands facebook account(this rock band that I still respect, should be nameless but you’ll figure out who I’m referring to), going around the entire internet looking for quotes that I said online, and making fun of it. They would call me all kinds of offensive names and all kinds of crazy things without mentioning my name. Joke around and laugh at me continuously like some kind of comedy thing.

I’ve been wanting to say that if these guys had a problem with me, then why don’t they just come say this stuff to me, like a real adult? I’m not that hard to find. Why not write me an e-mail or even better speak to me in person? Nope. Instead, they do the bashing, bullying and harassment with their fans like little kids in pre-school. Personally, I don’t find what they do funny, and this is part of the reason why I can’t add random people in my facebook account anymore.

I don’t get why bands do these things. It’s childish and pretty unprofessional. As for why they do it, I believe it’s just their way of secretly promoting themselves off of me. They like that attention. When they do it and they won’t stop, their fans will like what they do and they join the bullying bandwagon. The sad part is, most of these guys don’t know anything about me and they haven’t even met me. Their fans go along with it, because they support that band and will think they have the right to do this stuff ’cause the band is doing it. It’s just this band’s way of getting more fans, that’s pretty much it really. That’s the only reason why they won’t stop their bullying.

I’ve said it before, I have nothing personal against this band. I enjoy their music and think they’re good performers. I just wish they would leave me out of things, but there’s nothing I can do about it. Free country, I guess. I just want these guys to focus on the music. Notice I don’t obsess with bullying other bands anymore like I used to? It’s because I have better things to do and better things to worry about. Plus, I’m trying to make my life as positive and happy as possible. I don’t have time for bullshit.

Musicians & Bands don’t need a label to be successful!

Reverb Nation website just put up a great blog that I just had to post here. The blog shows you how musicians & bands could get success in their music even without a label, and this article gives proof on how that could happen.

Read it, here.

If you want success with your music, all it takes is hard work and doing it all yourself. Making the best music possible if you want to be respected. You can become a recognizable musician by not signing with a label at all. If labels ever started asking me to sign with them, I’m not saying it will happen but what if, I would probably turn them all down. I wouldn’t care how much money they would offer me ’cause I don’t do music for money and fame.

You can still get thousands of fans even without a label. You can still have a great career on a high note even without a label. You can still get great opportunities even without a label. Who needs, a record label, ya know?

The industry is such a difficult world, it’s going to be overwhelming for you, I’m telling you. The way the industry is today, I wouldn’t want anything to do with the major label industry. If today was the 1950’s or even the 1970’s, yes, I probably would have signed a record contract back then ’cause those days the industry was something special. The industry is not the same anymore. It’s all greed, power and corporate bullshit.

Like the article said, you’re better off staying unsigned. Period.

Cool Video: Bono makes surprise appearance at “The Living Room” in NYC to perform with Glen Hansard…

Bono, the lead singer of U2, makes a rare and surprise public appearance at “The Living Room” music venue in NYC to perform, a song with Irish singer/songwriter, Glen Hansard. I believe Glen and Bono are pretty close friends, as they are both from, Ireland. Glen was in NYC last night to play an intimate acoustic show, and Bono just happened to be in town, so Glen invited Bono to sing a song with him.

Pretty cool performance, and this proves that Bono can really sing too.

Well, look like this will make President Obama to win the re-election no matter what happens…he is now all for same sex marriage…

Just when you’re thinking that Obama lost all the respect from people, look like he might win the respect back ’cause he’s doing a little flip flopping on gay marriage in the USA. At first he was against it, now he’s all for it. You know what this means, right? This means he could get a lot more supporters, especially from the gay community. Him supporting gay marriage to be legalized in the U.S. all around, will alone, make him win the re-election. The republicans can try their best to defeat Obama, but it’s not going to happen now.

I don’t support same sex marriage, that’s how I feel on these things, and if other people don’t like it, I don’t care. Call me an asshole for it, that’s fine. I have a right for what I want to believe in and entitled to my own opinion.

More on the story, here.

Sorry, Obama haters, but it looks like we’re going to have to put up with him for another 4 years.

Been having computer problems, but things seem to be fine now…

My computer kept freezing for the past week or so. Kept thinking it was the internet or something to do with software. Then I realized that it had something to do with hardware. So I opened the computer up and it was really dusty and dirty inside the machine. I’ve had this machine for several years and have never dusted it out ever since I got it. Yeah, it was a real mess. So I went out to Kmart and bought one of those canned air dust cleaner things. So I cleaned the inside of the computer to make it look shiny and nice again. Hooked my computer back up, and the computer was no longer freezing anymore. Things seem to be back to normal. So that’s why my computer kept freezing ’cause it was asking to get cleaned out inside. So if I haven’t been posting much this is probably why. My computer seem to be working good now, I’ll see how it goes from here on.

Cool Video: Here’s the trailer for William Friedkin’s, “Killer Joe”, looks like a badass film too!!!

Look like Matthew McConaughey is playing the badguy in this movie. The film also stars Emille Hirsh and Gina Gershon. This film looks pretty cool as well. It’s an independent film so it won’t be shown in that many theaters when it’s released. I will see it when it arrives on DVD/BluRay though. I didn’t even know Friedkin was still alive and still directing, kidding. Enjoy!

Report: CBGB’s maybe making a comeback but to a new venue and new location…

The legendary, CBGB’s club responsible for starting the NYC punk movement, maybe closed, but the club could be making a return. However, a club spokesman said the club will be looking for a new venue and new area in NYC.

More on the story, here.

While I think it’s a good idea to move on to a new place, the new CBGB’s is never going to top the original venue that had so much history. The new place is never going to be better than the old place. They can move on and forget about the past, all they want to, but this isn’t the late 1970’s anymore. I don’t think any band can turn the new place on top like the Ramones did. The Ramones, were one of the first bands to play there when the club first opened.

I’ve never been to the original CBGB’s before. Never played a gig there and never saw a show there. My point is, the new CBGB, won’t be as good as the original. I never been to the original venue, but I understand the place had so much rock n’ roll history even that venue could be a shithole like all the others.

Maybe people out there do respect me as a musician, I don’t know…

It really is hard for a musician to tell whether other people respect them as a talented musician or not. I’m starting to see that other musicians and some music fans agree that I’m a talented musician still. Other musicians try to tell me that I’m good at what I do, but over the years, I kept saying that I’m not that good like other people say I am. I kept thinking I’m overlooked and ignored too much, but maybe I’m not after all? Dude, I gotta quit being so sensitive and dramatic, lol. It’s pretty flattering that the positive feedback keeps coming in every time I release something new.

I would still say I’m overlooked by the press and local media though. While, I’m noticing my music still gets attention through other musicians, it would be nice to get noticed by the local press at least. Maybe an interview or some reviews would be kind of nice, but I’m okay if I don’t get recognized by the press. I’ll just keep doing what I do, make the music for you guys. If it weren’t for you guys, I wouldn’t be doing this still. I probably would have given up music completely, if I knew that people wouldn’t support my music at all, but I’m realizing I still do have fans out there.

I’m trying to get new music out there for everyone, just taking my time and want to make the best music possible for my next batch of songs. I’m planning on making 2 demo albums. One full band disc, and the other one an acoustic one. The acoustic demo will be the one so I can get out to clubs & venues for booking gigs with. The full band one will be just for your listening pleasure. I’ll be recording the full band tracks through Garageband, Ipad app.

I’m really trying to focus on getting my timing and rhythm down good enough so I can stay in sync with the drum tracks in homerecording, that’s the most important thing I’m working on. So for the fans out there, that still stuck with me musically, thanks.

I want to release a real official album sometime, but when I do, it’ll probably be an internet only release. I can’t afford CD manufacturing at this point, so I’ll do all I can to put my first album out on Itunes/Amazon/Spotify or something like that. More music will be coming sometime, I’m just taking my time and not getting too ahead of myself.
