Report: Robert Zemeckis to return to directing live action movies, also rumoured to be on the list of “Superman” directors…

Robert Zemeckis, will finally direct a live action movie after all these years. The last movie Zemeckis did that was live action was obviously, “Cast Away” back in the year 2000. After that, all he’s been doing lately are animated films. His next live action film will be a film titled, “Timeless”, yes, another movie based on time travel. It is not Back to the Future part IV of course, but, “Timeless” is original and something different. The plot has not been revealed for “Timeless” yet, but we will hear something soon. The question you have to ask, is this another role for Tom Hanks in the lead? Don’t be surprised. It could be another role for Tom.

Zemeckis is also rumoured to be on the list of directors for Christopher Nolan’s, “Superman”. Zemeckis won’t be a bad choice for “Superman”. Look at what Zemeckis did to “Back to the Future” and “Roger Rabbit”. I think Zemeckis would make a good Superman movie.

See the article here at, Deadline.

Nice to finally see Zemeckis back at directing live action. I’m a big fan of Zemeckis’s work, he’s made many great flicks.

RIP: Greg Giraldo 1965 – 2010

Stand up comic, Greg Giraldo, is well known for appearing on Comedy Central TV station on a regular basis. He had his own TV show, “The Greg Giraldo” show, which he is known for, but he became an icon when he started appearing on Comedy Central’s, “The Roast”, roasting other celebrities. He also appeared on Conan O’ Brien many times. He was also a judge on NBC’s, “Last Comic Standing”. On Sept. 25th, Greg accidentally overdosed on prescription medications. He passed away today with his family by his side.

Very sad. He was a very talented and funny man. I remember seeing him on TV, what a shock to find out Sally Menke died and now here comes Greg Giraldo. RIP Greg.

Thought: How the Beastie Boys got a nomination to the Hall of Fame…

As expected, the Beastie Boys are getting so much negativity and hate on the internet, because of their nomination for the, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Mainly because people think they are a rap and hip hop band, they aren’t rock n’ roll. This is just enough proof that people know nothing about music when they think they do. Beastie Boys aren’t rock? Of course they are. They always have been rock. They may have added some rap/hip hop influence to their songs, but they are indeed rock n’ roll if you carefully listen to their music. Songs like “Fight For Your Right to Party”, “Sabatoge”, “Root Down”, “Sure Shot”, “So Whatcha Want”, etc. All those songs are rock songs. The Beastie Boys are pioneers for bringing rap and rock together.

Many people say that the Beastie Boys don’t deserve the Hall of Fame induction, but I think they do. They accomplished a lot in the music industry. People who think the Beastie Boys aren’t rock, are really delusional. I respect the Beastie Boys ’cause they are white men who aren’t afraid to show their love for rap and rock n’ roll. I can sit here and write all day on how the Beastie Boys are rock n’ roll, but to keep it short and simple, any rock n’ roll band could cover their songs easily and make ’em sound like rock songs.

The Beastie Boys are incredible. They have a pretty good chance in getting inducted too. The haters slamming the Beastie Boys are probably jealous. Listen to their songs in the videos below and tell me if they aren’t rock songs. If you say they aren’t, you must be deaf.

Thought: Will the Star Trek movies get re-released into 3-D????

It is no surprise to me that all 6 Star Wars movies will be getting re-released to theaters for 3-D. I’m sure it’s no surprise to everyone else either. My question is, will Paramount Pictures, do the same for the first 10 Star Trek films? The original Star Trek and the Next Generation movies? I think that will happen down the road. There’s a few Star Trek films that I think would be really cool in 3-D like, “Star Trek: The Motion Picture” for starters, that’s a big special effects movie. “The Wrath of Khan” and “The Voyage Home” would look great in 3-D as well. As for the Next Generation movies, I can see, “Generations”, “First Contact” and “Nemesis” looking cool in 3-D. I’m sure Paramount has this planned out. Star Trek in 3-D won’t happen right away but definitely sometime down the road.

If I can get visible abs, you can too…

Like they all say, if I can do it, you can do it too. Many guys out there would dream about getting a six pack washboard stomach. I’m almost there, still have a little more work to do to get the full washboard. Just need to get a little lower in bodyfat. If you want to get the washboard belly so bad, then you must change your lifestyle. You have to make these decisions. Are you ready to give up eating junk food for good? Are you ready to give up drinking alcohol and coffee? You have to ask yourself these questions before getting into workouts to get a six pack. Junk food and working out doesn’t mix. Neither does drinking alcohol and drinking coffee, ’cause all that would continue to make you fat. You may think it’ll be cool to have a few beers now and then, but you’re gonna have to give up alcohol completely ’cause you’ll never get rid of that beer gut.

I have proven my point that getting abs is not as hard as everyone thinks it is. All it takes is three things: 1) eating right 2) doing your crunches for upper and lower abs 3) plenty of cardio. Doing all that would burn fat and it’ll tighten up your body. If you’re overweight, it’ll obviously take a long time, but for someone who is not overweight, it won’t take that long to burn fat if you do it right. I’m trying to keep a strict diet, avoiding a lot of junk food like crazy. I won’t eat high sugars or high callory stuff. No high sodium either.

All of this is really simple and easy to do. If you’re embarrassed with your belly, whether you’re male or female, I’d suggest you think about these things. Hard work and dedication in fitness is worth it. I’m no longer afraid to be shirtless anymore. Being shirtless is what fitness is all about. Amazing what fitness can do to you. A thrill ride.

Brock praises NBC’s “The Event”!!!

For the past two weeks, I’ve been recording “The Event” on my DVR since WWE RAW is on Monday nights. I’ve seen the first two episodes of the new primtime drama show, “The Event” and so far, I’ve been very impressed with the show. It is way better than JJ Abrams, “Undercovers”. It’s about a young man named, Sean Walker, whose girlfriend gets kidnapped and goes missing. Sean is doing whatever it takes to find her. She was taken from a Carribean cruise when he was getting ready to propose to her. As he tries his best to find her, he gets trapped into an assassination plot and he’s about to expose the biggest cover up in U.S. history.

This show “The Event” is just as good as “Friday Night Lights”. I didn’t think any of the new upcoming NBC primtime drama shows were gonna be any good, but I actually liked, “The Event” quite a lot. The writing is very intelligent and insightful. It mixes drama, romance, science fiction, suspense, and mystery, all in one. I think Jason Ritter who plays Sean is a good actor. So far, not a bad show at all. Hopefully it stays good throughout the first season in order for me to keep watching. I’ll continue to watch this show weekly, ’cause I’m already curious on how this “Event” is going to end.

I can’t stand primetime NBC, but sometimes a good show will come around, and “The Event” is a good one. No complaints so far.

Thought: My predicitons for this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees…

So the nominees for this year’s Hall of Fame has been revealed.

Who do I predict will get inducted? The Hall of Fame usually induct 5 artists each year. So for my prediction on this year’s inductees…

I definitely think Bon Jovi will get inducted no matter what happens. He will probably get the most votes out of everybody. Alice Cooper would get it, no matter what happens. Neil Diamond for sure. As for the last two, I think the J. Geils Band will definitely get in, and possibly Donna Summer. If not Donna Summer, then it will either be Tom Waits or Dr. John.

Honestly though, I think Alice Cooper deserves it more than anybody in the nominees list, simply put, because Alice is true rock n’ roll. Most everyone on this list are pop acts, but Alice is strictly rock. Alice is the fucking man! Always dug his music!

Thought: Well, the anonymous RAW GM is definitely not Michael Cole…

There’s been a lot of speculation in the wrestling community that Michael Cole could be the RAW anonymous GM. Well last night’s RAW kind of proved that Michael Cole is not the RAW GM. Why?

When Edge was out in the ring giving a speech during his in ring talk show, “The Cutting Edge”, he was talking to the anonymous computer, while Michael Cole sat out in the announcer table. Later on during the show, Edge destroyed the anonymous GM computer. Guess what? Michael Cole was still sitting at the announcer table.

So this definitely shows that Cole is not the RAW GM.

RAW is getting close to revealing the GM. So we’ll know who it is soon. Who ever the RAW GM is though, is definitely a popular babyface, ’cause the GM has been doing nothing but busting on the heel wrestlers. There has been signs that the GM could also be Chris Jericho, but it’s not him either ’cause he’s leaving WWE to focus on music with Fozzy. The GM won’t be any of the current superstars performing today.

I think the GM will be a returning superstar coming back from a hiatus. It’s either going to be Triple H, Bret Hart or the Ultimate Warrior. My money is still on the Ultimate Warrior but…

… keep in mind that the RAW GM could also be no one other than Vince McMahon himself. Vince McMahon always liked to trick people like this, and this could explain Vince’s return to get his revenge on the Nexus. So don’t be surprised that it could be Vince McMahon. It could happen. Vince always liked that kind of controversy.

RIP: Sally Menke 1953 – 2010

Sally Menke, is a well known and popular film editor, most famous for her work with, Quentin Tarantino. She edited pretty much all of Tarantino’s films including, “Inglourious Basterds” and the two, “Kill Bill” movies. She was also the editor of the very first, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie, released in 1990. Sally Menke, went hiking with her dog, in Griffith Park in Los Angeles last Monday afternoon. Police found her body in a ravine. Her friends contacted police after worrying that she didn’t come back home. Her dog is alive and well. The cause of death is not known at this time but it is under investigation. The Hollywood Reporter, reports. My condolences go out to Quentin, her friends & family. Quentin’s gotta be heartbroken and devastated over this. RIP, Sally.
