This one is hard to predict to see what’s gonna win.

I really would like it to be Quentin Tarantino’s year ’cause he is such a talented director and film maker, he deserves some award recognition. I doubt he’ll win anything this year but it would be awesome. “Inglourious Basterds” is a really good flick.

Report: Mel Gibson to direct Leonard Dicaprio for untitled Viking film…

Well, look like this means Mel Gibson is definitely not doing “Mad Max 4: Fury Road” ’cause he just signed on to direct a movie about “Vikings” that will star, Leonardo Dicaprio. It looks like Mel won’t be acting in this “Vikings” movie, he will be directing this one.

After starring the leading roles in movies like “Edge of Darkness” and Jodi Foster’s “The Beaver”, look like Mel finally wants to return to directing again.

I personally think the only reason Mel went back to acting just for a few films is so that he can be accepted by his fans again after his troubles with the law lately. To be accepted by Hollywood and forgiveness.

Mel plans to start shooting this Viking film in the fall of 2010 which will come up quick. Since Mel will have to be out there promoting, “Edge of Darkness” and “The Beaver”, he won’t have anytime to play on, “Mad Max 4”.

Still though, never say never with Mel in Mad Max 4. Maybe he can just do a small cameo? We’ll have to cross our fingers.

I expect this “Vikings” film to be very bloody and extremely violent. The violence will be much worse than his previous directed films. Honestly though, I find Mel Gibson one of the best actor/directors out there. He’s amazing. I love his work with “Braveheart”, “The Passion” and I find “Apacolypto” an amazing movie.

Mel doing a movie about Vikings is a good choice and very interesting. I think Leo has what it takes to do action with his own stunts, ’cause he’s done plenty of action movies over the years.

BREAKING NEWS: Summit Entertainment will release Roman Polanski’s new film “Ghost Writer”…

I can’t fucking believe this. Why Summit, why? Are you guys fuckin’ stupid?  Summit Entertainment, the studios responsible to releasing the “Twilight Saga” films announced they will be releasing Roman Polanski’s new film “Ghost Writer” here in the U.S.

I expect a negative backlash from the public at Summit Entertainment. The “Twilight” series are aimed at kids. Well Mr. Polanski molested a kid years back. This will give Summit Entertainment a bad name and this will make “Twilight” fans very uncomfortable.

This Polanski case maybe controversial, yes, he’s all over the news. That doesn’t mean his next movie will be a hit in the U.S. I don’t care how good “Ghost Writer” is, I hope it bombs terribly. It would be a mistake if people went out and support this film. I will not support any of Polanski’s future works, as everyone else should do the same.

In fact, Polanski should not be making movies anymore. This film should go direct to DVD/TV, not on the big screen.

Because of this move, I don’t know if I will see the rest of the Twilight movies in theater. Summit Entertainment supports pedophiles.

Report: James Cameron to reunite with Arnold for another film?

Will James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger do another film together when the Governator is done with office? James Cameron himself said the two are talking about it.

MTV Movies Blog reports:

It may not be a Terminator movie, but maybe a different action/sci fi movie. Or even better, “True Lies 2”? 🙂

Report: Paul Reubens announces, “Pee Wee’s Playhouse – The Movie” will be in the works soon…

Pee Wee Herman himself confirmed to MTV News, that there will be another Pee Wee Herman movie coming to the big screen. He revealed to MTV News, the next film will be based on the “Pee Wee’s Playhouse” TV show. It will be family friendly, that will be mostly aimed at the kids. Paul says the script is all done and ready to go.

The plot? He says most of the film will be outside of the Playhouse in puppet land. There will only be two scenes in the Playhouse. That’s all the details of the plot Paul gave us so far.

Some of you may find it crazy and a little weird, but I fucking love the Pee Wee character, always did. I would go see this new film, definitely.

That would be cool to see Tim Burton direct this. Paul Reubens and Tim Burton reunite to do “Playhouse”. Yeah.

Could JJ Abrams “Star Trek” actually win “Best Picture”???

Look like the Star Trek franchise can actually land their first Oscar win for “Best Picture”, because there is a huge buzz going around the movie sites online, that the film could get a nomination. I agree, it deserves a nomination ’cause the film is a beautiful film. I love it to death. Could the Star Trek franchise actually be lucky to win one? None of the Star Trek movies from the past never got a nomination before.

If JJ’s “Star Trek” actually gets the win for “Best Picture” in 2010, that would be very surprising. I have a feeling that the Best Picture win will either go to “Precious”, “Inglourious Basterds” or “Avatar”…but “Star Trek” can actually get it.

It would be nice if something different wins the Oscars. “Star Trek” is a mix of action and sci fi, the new film. I would love it if it got the win for “Best Picture”, I don’t see it happening.

Possible Oscar 2010 winners…

I know it’s early, but I’m going to predict some possible winners of the Oscars 2010. I might do a prediction thing again later this year, ’cause my predictions should change.

Here they are:

Best Picture: Either “Precious”, “Inglourious Basterds”, “Avatar” will get the one. We know those three films will get the nominations anyway.

Best Director: Either Quentin Tarantino, Lee Daniels or James Cameron are top three choices.

Best Actor: Morgan Freeman might get another Oscar for this role in “Invictus”, although I haven’t seen the film yet.

Best Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz “Inglourious Basterds”, this guy will get it no matter what happens.

Best Actress: Gabby Sidibe from “Precious” will get it no matter what happens.

Best Supporting Actress: Anna Kendrick for “Up In the Air”. Noticing she’s a Twilight actress, the votes might all go to her.

Top 5 best films of the year coming soon…

I’ve picked my choice for my favorite “Film of The Year for 2009”. Since the end of the year is around the corner, it is time for all the Top of the Year lists to start coming like usual.

I’m not going to do the list now. I could, but I’m going to wait to see “Avatar” ’cause I know that film is going to make the list, no matter what happens. “Avatar” could be no. 1, ya never know, it could be or not. I’ll have to see it first, then I’ll do my top 5 of the year.

I picked a different film for no. 1. While I won’t reveal it now, I can give you a few clues. It is a science fiction film and no, it isn’t Star Trek. It is a film about aliens. There has been quite several sci fi movies and alien films that came out this year, so it might be kind of tough for you to figure out.

BREAKING NEWS: Steven Spielberg pulls out of “Harvey” remake…

First, Spielberg is no longer doing “Old Boy” with Will Smith. Next, Spielberg pulls out of directing the “Harvey” remake after spending about a year putting the project together. He was trying to find the film’s leading star that Jimmy Stewart once played from the original.

Spielberg tried asking Tom Hanks to star in the leading role but Tom wanted no part in it at all. It’s either Tom didn’t like the idea of remaking the film or he isn’t willing to play any of Jimmy Stewart’s characters or a little bit of both. Spielberg’s second choice was Robert Downey Jr., but even Robert knows the project sucks too. Robert begged for re-writes of the script but the studios wouldn’t take his idea. This is what made Spielberg drop out of the project for good.

Variety Reports:

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118012212.html?categoryId=13&cs=1&ref=ssp

Not only hollywood studios are sometimes difficult on Spielberg, even the actors can be too.

It’s really quite simple folks, actors and actresses will not agree to star in a film, no matter how iconic of a director he is. The script must be good enough for the cast to agree to it.

I’m tired of Spielberg getting on the sequels and remakes bandwagon. I know he can do something original.

James Cameron’s Top 5 best films in his career…

In celebration of “Avatar” being released in theaters, finally, after all these years. The film hits theaters, Dec. 18th, I wanted to name my top five favorite James Cameron films ever made.

Here they are:

  1. The Terminator – I’ve always loved the first Terminator more than the 2nd one. Arnie, the villain Terminator is way cool and I find him being the good guy, kind of overrated.
  2. The Abyss – I’ve always loved this film to death. I’ve seen it too many times. Ed Harris’s best role. This film, in my opinion, has Cameron’s best special effects.
  3. T2 – Judgement Day – Always a classic. It’s one of those films you can never get tired of watching ever and you always have fun watching it no matter what.
  4. Aliens – I think this is the best Alien film of the series.
  5. True Lies – Not his best work but it’s great action entertainment, Arnie is a badass in this role too.
