I’m happy for Sly that he finally got recognized for his acting talent… that’s more rewarding than a freakin’ gold statue!

I remember back around the early 2000’s years Sly Stallone used to be one of the most hated actors on the planet. I’m not kidding either and I’ll never forget that. I’m sure you remember too. Back then, Sly got hated and criticized so much toward his acting talent. It was debated on whether or not Sly had any acting talent… people slammed him that he was only known for “Rocky” and “Rambo”, they say he was only talented at that. Anything outside of “Rocky” and “Rambo” Sly got trashed by movie fans and critics pretty harshly. Really Sly was bashed on a lot back then. That’s because back then, he was struggling in his career.

Today, everybody is finally realizing that the man has acting talent which to me is pretty amazing really. I always knew that one day Sly would start to get the respect that he deserves and he’s finally getting it.

Yeah, Sly may have made some pretty bad choices with his movies in the past but I think he’s finally smartened up and now he’s making some better choices with his films like “The Expendables”. “Grudge Match”, “Escape Plan”, “Bullet to the Head”, etc. Those are pretty good movies. He’s learned from his past mistakes and making smarter choices this time around.

So yeah, who cares about some award. Sly is already getting rewarded by getting recognized for his acting talent finally which he deserves more than an Oscar. So Sly is always a winner, in my book. I’m real happy for Sly that he’s finally getting all the love and respect that he deserves which he didn’t have much of that in the past. I’ll never forget the days when he was getting hated on. He finally silenced all of his doubters.

Sly is an interesting guy, though. He definitely knows how to stay strong and tough even through the setbacks in his career which to me makes him an amazing man. Now I understand why he played in movies like “Rocky” ’cause those movies helped inspire him to become strong and be the man that he is today.

The movie “Creed” is out on Blu Ray this week and I’m meaning to pick up a copy very soon!

Happy birthday Superman…

Superman's_classic_pose

The reason it’s Superman’s birthday today is ’cause it was described as Supes birthday in the old comics through the 60’s – 80’s as Feb. 29th. Superman actors can get replaced as many times as they want but nobody will top Christopher Reeve. Chris Reeve has always been my favorite Superman and always will.

I love all 4 Chris Reeve Superman movies and yeah, I even thought “The Quest For Peace” the fourth movie was great for what it was. I’m the proud owner of the Superman BluRay boxset.

I love a lot of superheroes but Superman will always be my no. 1. Batman would have to be no. 2. I am looking forward to “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” though.

Yeah, Hollywood is always struggling to make a Superman movie ’cause why? The answer is simple really ’cause the story of Superman really isn’t an easy story to tell. It’s pretty difficult to make a great Superman movie and that’s why WB’s fail a lot.

I did love “Man of Steel” though w/ Henry Cavill despite the mixed criticism of that film.

Frank Stallone is upset at Sly’s Oscar loss and Sly himself responds…

Frank Stallone who is Sly’s brother is upset that Sly lost at the Oscars to Mark Rylance so Frank took to twitter to rant at the Academy and the media.

Here are some of Frank’s tweets:

https://twitter.com/Stallone/status/704344153472110592

https://twitter.com/Stallone/status/704405120230907904

https://twitter.com/Stallone/status/704405600067653632

https://twitter.com/Stallone/status/704406037890097152

I agree with Frank that it’s all Hollywood bullshit for sure. It’s pretty clear that the Academy don’t care what the people really want. I do agree with Frank that the Academy voters are terrible. The Oscars used to be good in the past but it’s getting worse and worse.

While Frank Stallone maybe upset, once again… Sly wants to let the world know that he isn’t upset at all. Sly says he is happy and life is good. He’s not letting his loss bring him down. Sly is used to losing ’cause he lost back in 1977.

Like I said, there’s always another film where Sly can get an Oscar… maybe for “Creed II” so a third time’s a charm?

Anyhow, awards are not important anyway. Sly should be focusing on his film career and that’s probably more rewarding than a gold statue.

Sly Stallone releases statement after Oscar loss…

The photograph above must have been taken sometime after the “Best Supporting Actor” was given. It’s just Sly’s way of showing that he’s not upset about the loss. Hey, I’m pretty sure he’s a little disappointed but he’s got the Golden Globe for playing in “Creed” so that’s good enough for him. Like I said, Sly could win his first Oscar for “Creed II”. Are the Academy waiting for Rocky to get killed off and then they’ll give it to him? I wouldn’t be surprised. Think how a Rocky death scene would be an Oscar worthy performance.

Anyway, Sly doesn’t really need an award ’cause he’s too good for it. He already got awarded just by silencing all his doubters and critics about his acting talent. People always criticized him and people are finally starting to realize the man does have acting talent after all. I always knew he did… he just needed the right film to show it.

Like they all say, life goes on. Sly will move on to his next movie which will probably be “Creed II”. It’s looking like Sly is definitely done with action movies for good knowing that he just gave up Rambo and now it looks like he’s about to give up “The Expendables”. He won’t star in “Expendables 4”. The movie is still happening but Sly is not gonna be in EX4. Sly is keeping his focus on “Creed II”.

Sly’s statement above just shows that Sly is a pretty strong guy. He does seem like a guy who doesn’t get upset too easily and I like people like that!

Can the Oscars ever leave politics out of everything for once? My god!!!

Last night’s Oscars was predictably the worst Oscars ever. A lot worse than last years. This year’s Oscars was even more political than last year as well. Chris Rock was boring and it was expected that he was gonna call Hollywood racist for not having black nominees. *yawn* There was of course, liberal politics all over last night. Last night’s Oscars was about the “Oscars So White” and race relations mostly. Last night’s Oscars also promoted sexual abuse (thanks to Joe Biden) and Climate Change (thanks to Leo). I’m tired of the Oscars bringing politics into everything lately. The Oscars are supposed to be about celebrating movies but all celebrities wanna do is spread messages and talk about the problems going on in liberal land.

Most of the awards given were terrible. I didn’t think “Mad Max: Fury Road” deserved all that attention ’cause it wasn’t that great of a movie. I was also disgusted that Sam Smith won for that James Bond song ’cause “Writing On The Wall” is a crappy song even though “Spectre” was a really great film. I wish “Spectre” could have picked a better theme. They should have used Radiohead’s theme instead. Of course, they had to choose Sam Smith ’cause I think the only reason he was picked ’cause he’s an openly “homosexual” man and you know how libtard Hollywood love their homosexuals. If Sam Smith wasn’t a part of the Oscars then they would have gotten called a homophobe.

Other Oscars upset was of course when Sly lost his Oscar to some actor I’ve never heard of before which is lame. Sly deserved it but of course the Academy didn’t give it to him. Sly lost the Oscars twice now. He lost back in 1977. Ah well… there’s always another time for Sly to win an Oscar so never say never, y’all. Keep in mind there is still “Creed 2” coming and possibly “Creed III” so there’s always another time for Sly to get his Oscar. I know everyone wants Sly to get his Oscar and I think he will sometime in the future. Maybe for “Creed 2” like I said.

There were a few good choices that the awards went to, though. I’m happy that the “Amy” doc won ’cause that was a good documentary. I’m happy that Leo Dicaprio won his first Oscar and I’m happy that the director for “The Revenant” won.

Another big upset from last night was “The Revenant” lost to the “Spotlight” on BEST PICTURE. What is it with the Oscars and Michael Keaton lately? Last year “Birdman” won Best Picture and now another Michael Keaton movie wins Best Picture which was “Spotlight”. Do the Oscars have a hardon for Michael Keaton? Seems so.

Anyway, it’s no surprise that “Mad Max” and “The Revenant” both lost “Best Picture” simply because they are very violent movies and you know the Academy was never friendly with violent movies. They always go for the serious drama films.

Last night’s Oscars was pathetic and I wished I could take my 3 or 4 hours back that I wasted.

Watch Arnold’s awesome response to Sly’s loss. Arnold uploaded that video immediately after the “Best Supporting Actor” category so you can tell he was watching the Oscars too.

My question is where were all the big name A-Listers last night??? No Tom Hanks, no Tom Cruise, no Brad Pitt & Angie, no John Travolta, no Alec Baldwin, no Dustin Hoffman, etc. All those guys usually appear at the Oscars every year but they were no where in sight. I assume they were boycotting for the “Oscars So White” thing is probably why. That’s probably why they had Joe Biden there ’cause they needed a big name to keep the liberals happy.

Wanna watch some good horror? Check out the “[Rec]” movies…

I never realized that the 2008 horror film, “Quarantine” was a remake of a Spanish film called [Rec]. The “Rec” movies are zombie films and really good ones too. As some of you know, I’m a huge fan of horror films. I love them. I’ve watched horror films for many years ever since I was a kid and I still enjoy watching them. These Spanish zombie films called “Rec” are awesome stuff and so far there’s 4 of them. I just watched all four of them this week. I love them all but I thought the first two were the best, though. There’s supposed to be a fifth “Rec” movie coming ’cause the fourth left open for another one. I think the girl who plays Angela is pretty hot. While these are great films, my only complaint is that there are way too much shaky camera but other than that, they’re good films. If you’re looking for good horror, I’d recommend these. I know the “Rec” movies have been pretty popular in America for quite a while but I’m just getting into them. I think the first “Rec” movie is way better than the “Quarantine” remake.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1038988/

Speaking of horror films, I really want to see that new horror film, “The Witch” ’cause it actually looks scary. Hopefully I see that one in a few weeks. I wanna see that one. “The Witch” looks good.

Ron Howard set to direct “Pinocchio” remake starring Robert Downey Jr…

Paul Thomas Anderson bailed out of directing the “Pinocchio” remake starring Robert Downey Jr. Ron Howard has been set to take the director’s chair for “Pinocchio” live action version. Robert Downey Jr. has already been set to play Geppetto who is Pinocchio’s creator and father.

There’s been a lot of live action versions of Disney classics lately and there will be many more up ahead. So far the ones that I know of are “Alice In Wonderland” by Tim Burton and the “Cinderella” live action film. There are many others coming like “The Jungle Book”, “The Little Mermaid”, “Beauty & The Beast”, etc.

I don’t care for all the other live action Disney films but the live action version of “Pinocchio” actually intrigues me. I’m all for it ’cause I’m a huge fan of the animated classic of “Pinocchio”. I’ve always loved that film since I was a kid and still love it now.

http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Robert-Downey-Jr-Pinocchio-Just-Landed-List-Director-Get-Details-113047.html

I love the idea of Ron Howard taking over ’cause he is one talented film maker. He’s made a lot of great movies. I think he’ll do a great job at this.

They’ll have to start casting for the other characters now. Who are they gonna get for “Pinocchio” himself? They’re gonna have to get a child actor for that role for sure. They’re also gonna have to cast somebody for Stromboli, the Blue Fairy, Jiminy Cricket, Honest John, etc. If the characters are still gonna be animals then they might have to be CGI characters especially Jiminy and Honest John.

I’d say get John Goodman for Stromboli. I’d say get Charlize Theron for the Blue Fairy.

I’m pretty sure Ron Howard would make the whale chase scene pretty epic and will make it a thrill ride. Can’t wait!

When the new “Ghostbusters” trailer comes out in March, how much do you wanna bet it’ll go viral?

So a new “Ghostbusters” trailer is coming directed by Paul Feig and starring 4 females. When the trailer comes out, you can betcha the trailer will probably break the “internets”. Paul Feig has been showing us a lot of stuff from the film but finally, he’s gonna show us a trailer real soon. Most people have been shitting on the film for a long while now even if they haven’t seen the movie but you know all the haters will see the trailer anyways when it comes out.

I’m definitely gonna check out the trailer myself as I’m looking forward to it. Despite all the negative criticism this film is getting, this film is intriguing me. Yeah, I find it interesting so far and I think the movie will be good. Once the film itself actually comes out, I think more people will actually like it and will have a change of heart with it. Give it time. Even though people are hating on this movie, I think everybody will go see it anyways out of curiosity. People are predicting that this film is gonna bomb but I disagree. I think this film could end up being bigger than “Deadpool” or “The Force Awakens”.

How?

Keep in mind that when the first two “Ghostbusters” came out, not a lot of people today know about those movies. There’s a whole new younger generation who has never seen the two originals. This film is aiming to attract a new audience and a younger fanbase. The film can also be for the die-hards for those who loved the first two films. The new “Ghostbusters” is probably gonna turn out to be a box office smash and break records, sorry to say.

I think the new “Ghostbusters” will turn out enjoyable and fun. Give it time.

I’ve always learned never to be critical about a movie you haven’t seen yet. I’ve never bashed something I haven’t seen yet. I just wait to see the actual film itself and then I make my honest opinion. I think people trashing a movie they haven’t seen is pretty lame and that’s the problem we’re having these days. People maybe skeptical now but if you see the actual film itself, you may actually enjoy it.

I’m looking forward to checking out the new “Ghostbusters” trailer soon.

“Deadpool” movie breaks box office records with $135 million… not surprising though!

“Deadpool” really was an excellent film. Before I saw the movie, I never knew much about the character ’cause I’ve never read a single Deadpool comic in my life. After seeing this movie makes me want to read more “Deadpool” comics ’cause the character is interesting to say the least. I think he’s one of the best Marvel superheroes. The character is awesome and Ryan Reynolds was perfect to play him. I can’t see anyone else playing that character but him. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, what are you waiting for? Go see it now. Even if you’re not a fan of sueprhero movies much, I think you would still enjoy the film. I’m definitely buying the Blu-Ray when it comes out.

Flashback song: Salt N’ Pepa, “Shoop” (as heard in the rolling credits of “Deadpool” film)

In the 90’s, I was a kid in high school then and I used to listen to Salt N’ Pepa a lot. Back in the day, wow. I used to love Salt N’ Pepa and still do! They were a great rap group. I love them a lot more than TLC.

The Salt N’ Pepa girls used to be my crushes! Really I used to listen to their albums all the time when I was a kid. Used to have their CD’s but got rid of them as I got older. The Deadpool movie makes me enjoy Salt N’ Pepa music again.

I wish Salt N’ Pepa would reunite for a new album. I know the three ladies are aging now but they already reunited a couple of times over the years. Would like to hear new music from them as I believe they can still do it!
