Cool Photo: Your first look at Arnie and Sly on the set of “The Tomb”…

Well, Arnie and Sly’s next movie after, “The Expendables 2”, “The Tomb” is in the works, and here’s your first look at the two action stars on set. Now, “The Tomb” has nothing to do with the Expendables. Totally different and new story. As you can see, “The Tomb” is taking place in a prison.

Glad, Arnold and Sly are finally doing movies together, which that should’ve happened years ago.

I am noticing that more Sly Stallone posts getting more views on this site…weird…

Ever since the announcement of Sage Stallone’s death, more of my Stallone posts from the past have been getting more views. Not sure if it’s some die hard fans looking around for info or just new fans just getting into Sly because of Sage. Could be a little bit of both. Plus, “Expendables 2” is coming out soon.

Just recently Sly put out a statement asking people to leave Sage’s death at peace and treat it with respect, and I agree.

No matter what you think of the film, “Rocky V”, Sage was the important part of that film. Sly admitted he didn’t even like that movie himself, which is the main reason why he wanted to do one last Rocky movie, “Rocky Balboa”. Everyone watched “Rocky V” because of Sage’s performance in that film. His performance in that movie may not be as great but the kid helped draw people to that movie. Sage could have had a big movie career if he wanted to, but he decided not to do the big time and just do indie films with his company, Grindhouse Releasing, mostly low budget horror flicks. Sage wanted to follow his father’s footsteps in film making, he didn’t really want to become a big megastar like his Dad.

Sage may have had his personal problems, but he was just like all of us. A human being. He was not perfect, like we all aren’t and we all make mistakes. Sage’s death was a sad loss in Hollywood, no matter what you think of it. His performance in “Rocky V” meant a lot to so many people. If his character in that film didn’t matter, then he wouldn’t have been all over the news, and fans wouldn’t be showing all this support he’s been getting. It’s a shame, I’m thinking of re-watching “Rocky V” in Sage’s honor.

I hope Sly himself is staying strong and hope he’ll be able to make, the “Expendables 2” premiere. If he backs out of the premiere because of the loss of his son, that’s understandable and everyone else should respect it too.

RIP: Sage Moonblood Stallone 1976 – 2012

This is really sad news. I’m sure Sylvester, had to pull out of San Diego Comic Con today, when he heard the news that his son, Sage Stallone, has passed away. My heart goes out to Sly and his family. I’m pretty sure, Sly is very heartbroken and emotional about this news. Sage is mostly famous for his role as Rocky Jr., in “Rocky V” and he also co-starred with Sly in the film, “Daylight”.

Sage did not have a very big movie career. He was mostly a big fan of horror films. I believe, he even started his own horror film production company. He directed a few horror films and starred in several of them. Sage is the son of actress, Sasha Czach, who Sly was once married to.

Read more on the story, here.

I’m pretty sure the entire Stallone family is devastated, not just Sly, again, my heart goes out to them. Will this affect Sly’s movie career? Maybe a little bit, but not bad. I’m sure Sage would want his father to keep going.

Cool Video: “The Expendables 2” trailer is finally here with an introduction by Sylvester Stallone!

I’m hoping, the sequel to the “Expendables” will be much better than the first one, like everyone else. I did like the first, “Expendables” movie, but I’ll admit that the first film did have some problems. Hopefully, the sequel will be an improvement. What I enjoy most about the “Expendables”, is the character of Dolph, he’s probably my favorite character out of the group. Dolph does the best acting out of the cast, in my opinion, I just want the movies to do more with him. Hopefully, the sequel will have more Dolph screen time.

The trailer is full of 80’s action stars I grew up watching over the years. Arnold made an announcement in the trailer saying, “I’m back”, which is what he means that he’s back in the movies. This is Arnold’s first big screen movie since after his governor run.

While I’m a huge fan of Sly, I don’t like his look in this movie though, the mustache kind of bothers me. I’m hoping this film will be good. I’m pretty excited about the film, but I’m more excited to see, “The Avengers”, and “The Dark Knight: Rises”.

Thought: Will Sly finally get to work on the Edgar Allan Poe biopic, if “The Raven” is a hit???

So “The Raven” with John Cusack finally hits theaters tomorrow. Yes, I do plan on seeing it.

For years, Sylvester Stallone has been talking about wanting to do his own Edgar Allan Poe, biopic film. There were talks that he had Robert Downey Jr., to star as Poe in Sly’s film. Even though this film has been in the talks for a long while now, it never happened. Sly kept changing his mind about the project. One time, he wants to do it, and the next thing you know, he puts the project on hold. I think he’s got the script written, not sure.

Maybe if “The Raven”, becomes a huge money maker in the box office this weekend, maybe that will make Sly want to start making the movie then. That’s what I’m hoping.

All of Sly’s fans, been wanting him to do that Edgar Allan Poe movie. I want him to do it myself. I’m not sure why, Sly hasn’t started working on the film yet. Maybe he’s worried that it might hurt his action career and might give him another career slump? I don’t know.

I just want him to get that Edgar Allan Poe movie made. Have him do something serious for once, instead of action movies. Sly said he won’t star in the “Poe” biopic, he’s going to just write it and direct it. I just want Sly to do a special project that could possibly land him in the Oscars again.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to, “The Raven”, tomorrow. I’m a pretty big Edgar Allan Poe fan. Loved his short stories and poems.

I still love Sly, I just want him to concentrate on his acting talent more than his action hero stuff…

With the upcoming release of “The Expendables 2” later this year, I’m looking forward to it of course, but I would like to see Sly concentrate on his acting talent, instead of being an action star and entertainer. Don’t get me wrong, I love Sly the action star, that’s the reason why I got into his flicks to begin with, but I love his drama acting too.

I think the best acting he ever did was the first “Rocky”, and the movie “Cop Land”, when he played Freddy Heflin. Once in a while, Sly would come out with a good movie with good acting talent. I just wish he would do that again. It seems that Sly has lost it with the acting in action movies lately.

I love Sly’s earlier movies in the 70’s and early 80’s more ’cause his acting talent was really great back in those days. Stallone movies in the 70’s like “Lords of Flatbush”, “Paradise Alley”, “F.I.S.T.”, etc. His acting was really great in those movies, you should see them if you haven’t yet.

Sly has more action movies coming out after “Expendables 2”. He’ll be doing that Walter Hill movie, “Bullet to the Head”, and he will be doing that action/thriller with Arnold, “The Tomb”.

I just wish he would do another serious drama film where he can show off his acting talent again. I know he has the acting talent, he needs the right film to show it. He keeps doing action movies ’cause that’s what he’s well known for and he’s more successful at that than other genres.

Maybe when he does the fifth Rambo movie, he could kill it with his acting talent again, I’m hoping. I don’t think he’ll ever get Oscar nominated again, but he could if he worked on his acting some more.

I’m still am a die hard fan of Sly, don’t get me wrong. Just want him to be more of an “actor”, instead of an action star. I’m sure you get my point and you might even agree with me.

Sly is dying to make one last Rambo movie? It appears so!!!

I haven’t made a Sly Stallone post here in a long time but now that he finally has something worthy to post, I had to post it here. Sly just said he is dying to do one last Rambo movie, and the plot will involve him being between the borders of Arizona and Mexico.

He talks about the new Rambo film at the very end of this interview.

You should read the rest of that interview as well, it’s a good interview. I agree with his thoughts on today’s action heroes on how it isn’t what it used to be back in the 80’s. There are some good action movies that come out today, but today’s action films are full of CGI and special effects. It wasn’t the way the old days filmed action movies.

I’m glad Sly is thinking about one last Rambo movie. Hopefully, the next film will be LONGER and more brutal than the last one.

Report: Arnold and Sly, confirmed to star in “The Tomb”…

After, “The Expendables”, you can expect Arnold and Sly, two of the biggest action movie icons, to star in more movies together. Summit Entertainment, confirms Arnold and Sly will both star the leading roles in a film called, “The Tomb”. Sly will play a man who designed a high-tech prison that is escape proof. Sly’s character is set up and sent in the same prison he just built. Arnold plays a fellow inmate a complex guy whose tough exterior hides the reality he’s an okay guy who fights to keep the prisoners from losing their humanity.

Deadline, reports.

Why didn’t Arnold and Sly star in movies together in the past before? I remember Sly saying in the AICN Q&A’s he did with them, that it had something to do with ego’s. He was afraid of the huge egos getting in the way with each other or something like that, since they are both iconic stars. They probably finally realized, that won’t be a problem, so they agreed to start doing movies together after all these years. I agree, they should’ve starred in movies a long time ago, though. It’s been a long time coming for them.
