“Ghostbusters 3” will be an all female re-boot and will be directed by Paul Feig…

Due to the death of Harold Ramis, Ivan Reitman had to pull out of directing “Ghostbusters 3” out of respect for his friend. Now Sony have found a replacement director. Paul Feig will be directing the 3rd installment.

Dan Aykroyd will return as Dr. Ray Stantz but it’s looking like Bill Murray will not return. It is not yet known if Ernie Hudson will return as Winston Zeddemore.

As you will read in this article, the new Ghostbusters will be all female.

I actually dig the idea of all female Ghostbusters. What actresses will get the new roles???

I pick:

Michelle Rodriguez
Rhonda Rousey (UFC fame)
Jennifer Lawrence
Milla Jovovich

Sounds like a pretty good team to me!

Am I gonna have to buy a PS4 soon? Yep, looks like it…

The PS3 console have been out for several years now… it’s been out for 8 years, I think???

Now that the PS4 has been out for a while now… all of the upcoming video games for the Playstation have been for PS4 exclusive only. Why do they do this? Well, it’s obvious that it’s a sneaky way for Sony to make more money and their little trick to get people all excited to buy a PS4. Yes, I’m sure Sony already did this trick for the original Playstation, the Playstation 2 and 3 but I kind of disagree with this marketing. Just my opinion. People should be able to have the right to choose to keep their current console but Sony will find ways to force people to buy their new console.

The PS3 haven’t really been all that old and already they came out with a new console.

I love video gaming and all. It’s one of my favorite things to do other than music and weight lifting but the video gaming industry can be pretty shady with their marketing and the releases of their products. They gotta make the money somehow, right?

Anyway, yes, I will buy a PS4 console but not right away. I looked up the pricing for the PS4 and it’s like $400 which is not really all that bad. I’ll buy one sometime down the road… maybe next year.

I’m gonna have to get a PS4 so I can get the new Batman and Tomb Raider games which are gonna be for PS4 exclusive only. It kinda sucks but it is what it is. The video gaming industry is kind of greedy… they’ve always have been.

A “Cliffhanger” reboot is happening…

Even if the 1993 action movie starring Sylvester Stallone, John Lithgow and Michael Rooker never had any sequels, it’s getting the re-boot anyways. The re-boot has been greenlighted and Joe Gazzam has been hired to write the script. While there are no details of the plot/synopsis for the re-boot yet, they do give a hint that the “Cliffhanger” re-boot will be a re-imagining so it will not be a straight up remake of the Stallone action movie.

This film is one of Sly’s most successful action movies ’cause the film grossed $84,049,211 domestically. The film was an obvious hit.

“Cliffhanger” with Stallone was one of my favorite action films of all time. I love it so much. I thought John Lithgow’s bad guy role was the shit. It’s just a badass action movie.

I wonder who they’re gonna get for the leading star??? They are probably gonna get some big name muscle actor to play the leading role. Maybe they’ll get the Rock? Jason Momoa? Chris Hemsworth?

I wonder what Sly himself thinks of this reboot happening? I’m sure he’ll make an opinion about it real soon.

If you’ve never seen the original “Cliffhanger” before, I’d suggest you check it out. It’s a badass film and one of Sly’s best action films, in my opinion.

David Fincher is OUT of “Steve Jobs” biopic film…

David Fincher is out of directing the “Steve Jobs” biopic film that is going to be scripted by Aaron Sorkin. Why is Fincher no longer directing, “Jobs”??? Well it’s because Fincher wanted a $10 million dollar paycheck and he wanted complete control over marketing so Sony is saying no to both of those. Seems like Sony just fired his ass.

http://www.cinemablend.com/new/David-Fincher-Exits-Sony-Steve-Jobs-Biopic-42559.html

That’s good, though! I want Fincher to get to work on, “The Girl Who Played With Fire” and he needs to concentrate on “House of Cards – Season 3”.

Speaking of Steve Jobs, I just got done reading his biography book that was written by Walter Isaacs and it was an excellent book. Will this biopic movie be based on that book? Made me respect Steve Jobs even more now after reading it. Steve may have been an asshole over the years but it was his way of doing whatever he could to make Apple big and all he wanted was to make the best products. In the past, I was going to avoid Apple products like the plague but when I finally decided to check out the Ipad, I wanted one of my own so I got one. I also got the Ipod Touch which I also like. Turns out that Apple products is cool stuff.

Only thing though, will I get an Iphone someday? Nah, I don’t think I’ll ever get one.  I’ll just stick with the Ipad and the Ipod Touch. I’ll have to admit that both of those have been pretty addicting to me.

For the Ipad, I just get apps that can be pretty useful to me and the ones that are good. For the Ipod Touch, I just use that to listen to music. I will also admit that buying  albums off of Itunes have become quite an addiction to me. Can’t help it. I love music and willing to buy albums “legally” ’cause I don’t believe in illegal pirating. I like supporting the artist.

While I do like the Ipod, there’s a few things I don’t like about it…. 1) sound quality could be improved 2) buying albums from the Itunes store can take up a lot of memory on your PC. If Apple can fix those two things that would make them perfect. Other than that, I like Apple.

Ivan Reitman is not directing “Ghostbusters 3” due to the passing of Harold Ramis…

Ivan Reitman, the man who directed the first two “Ghostbusters” has announced that he will not be directing the 3rd Ghostbusters due to the passing of his friend, Harold Ramis. Ivan feels that he cannot make the film without Harold because those two were an important part of the first two films. However, Ivan isn’t done with the film for good ’cause he is staying on as producer to help them. He’s going to help Sony replace a director. This is nothing personal for Ivan, he’s just doing this in honor of his friend, Harold. They still have a script for the film and Ivan hints that this movie will be more like the first one.

More on the story here:

http://www.deadline.com/2014/03/ghostbusters-movie-going-forward-without-ivan-reitman-sony/

Now that Ivan is not directing this and Harold is no longer with us, I have a feeling Bill won’t be doing it at all now. I still wouldn’t rule out Bill just yet though, he still has time to make a decision. I can’t blame Bill for being skeptical. He’s skeptical just like the rest of us. Bill just wants G3 to be just as good as the first one so he’s taking his time to make a decision which is good on him. Ya never know though, maybe Bill will have a change of heart and say “yes”. We’ll have to wait and see.

“Ghostbusters III” is still happening…

Look like Sony studios and Ivan Reitman are still committed to making “Ghostbusters III” despite the death of Harold Ramis. That’s okay. I’m all for them continuing on ’cause I’m pretty sure that’s what Harold would have wanted. He would have wanted them to move forward without him. They’ve been planning this movie for years and they just can’t cancel the project after all that hard work and money spent. Like the saying goes, “The show must go on”… the same for this film.

There is a final script written for this film but it’s gonna be re-written some due to Harold’s sudden passing. Welp, look like we’re gonna have a dead Ghostbuster in the film. Will Egon somehow make a cameo appearance as a CGI ghost? Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s what they’re going for.

The original Ghostbusters was only gonna be in this film briefly, anyways. This film was meant to pass the torch to younger Ghostbusters… that’s the idea for this film, I think.

Even though, Bill Murray has a part in “Ghostbusters III” it is still NOT yet known whether he wants in or not.

I know a “Ghostbusters III” is pretty debatable but I think a 3rd film deserves to happen. Give them a chance, ya know? “Ghostbusters 2” wasn’t a great film at all, and this trilogy deserves to end with a better film. I thought they did a great job with the video game. “Ghostbusters – The Video Game” was excellent stuff. I think they’ll do a good job with the 3rd film too.

Dan Aykroyd still loves the Ghostbusters. You can tell he has a lot of passion for this. He badly wants to get this movie made. Watch all of his interviews talking about Ghostbusters III. He’s pretty committed to this project too. With that being said, I would love GIII to happen. I’m intrigued on how they’re gonna pull this off.

Report: Sam Mendes in re-negotiations to direct sequel to “Skyfall”…

Earlier this year Sam Mendes pulled out of directing the follow-up to “Skyfall” due to other commitments but since the next Bond movie won’t get the green light ’til 2016, Sam is now in talks to direct the sequel to “Skyfall”. There has been other directors considered like Christopher Nolan and others but since that Sam will be available in three years, they can’t resist to have Sam back. I can’t blame them though ’cause Skyfall really was the best Bond film. I’m sure Sam will make the next movie just as good. I haven’t bought Skyfall on Blu-Ray yet but going to soon. I love the movie too much myself. It’s the true 007 film we’ve been wanting for years. Remember, the next Bond film won’t be for another three years. Has something to do with MGM studios and money stuff. “Skyfall” really was an incredible flick, and if you haven’t seen it yet, I’d recommend it.

Playstation 4 thoughts…

So the PS4 has been officially announced by Sony the other day. I didn’t watch the live stream, I missed it, but from the looks of things, the PS4 sounds alright. From what I’ve heard though, the PS4 live stream, just showed the new Dual Shock 4 controller, they didn’t quite show the actual console yet. I guess the company is showing a little bit at a time to help create a buzz and excitement. They aren’t showing the PS4 console yet for a reason.

Some of you know that I am a die hard video gamer. I’m a Playstation guy. Why did I choose Playstation over X-box? Tomb Raider is the only reason. I absolutely LOVE the Tomb Raider games and since those games are only for Playstation, that’s why I went for it. Of course, I have played many other Playstation games other than Tomb Raider. I have quite a big collection of PS3 games.

I haven’t been buying that many lately ’cause “Skyrim” kept me busy. I do want to buy “Dead Space 3” and the upcoming new Tomb Raider game in March. Video gaming is one of my favorite hobbies. I play video games when I’m absolutely bored. When I want to take a break from guitar playing or working out at the gym, I’ll play video games for a couple of hours. However, I don’t spend hours all day video gaming like most kids do, I’m not that kind of guy. I’m not that addicted. I don’t buy every game that comes out either. I only buy the game if they get great reviews or if they look good to me. I’m pretty picky with the games I get ’cause they can get pricey.

Will I get the PS4 when it comes out? I don’t know yet. I just got the PS3 Slim last year and pretty happy with that. Maybe I’ll keep the PS3 Slim until something bad happens to it, maybe I’ll buy a PS4 then? I love video gaming. It’s something I did all my life. Before the big video game consoles, I remember the old Atari days and played a lot of PC games too. Now I stick with Playstation.

Report: Aaron Sorkin will write and direct “Steve Jobs” biopic movie…

Aaron Sorkin, the writer of such movies as, “The Social Network”, and “Moneyball” is hired to write and direct, the biopic for Apple founder, Steve Jobs, for SONY. While Aaron wrote many films over the years, this makes his directorial debut. He never directed his own film before. Even though Aaron Sorkin himself, is no fan of the internet, he still seems to write about this technology stuff for whatever weird reason.

It’s going to be interesting to see who they’re going to get to play, Steve Jobs for the movie. What big name actor do you think resembles Steve? I think Billy Bob Thornton might be a good choice. Kevin Costner maybe? Daniel Day-Lewis? Brad Pitt? Clooney?

They would need a younger actor to play the young, Steve Jobs, too.

I haven’t read the Steve Jobs biography book yet, and that’s probably what the movie is going to be adapted from, wouldn’t surprise me.

Report: Adam Sandler is set to star in “Candyland” movie, while Hasbro is in negotiations with Universal to switch film to Sony instead…

I used to be a big Adam Sandler fan, but I lost interest in the guy because his movie choices as of late has been really weird. I stopped watching Adam Sandler movies after “Punch Drunk Love” in 2002. “Punch Drunk Love” was a great movie, it was his best performance, but everything else he did after that film, what happened to him? I loved all of Adam’s comedies in the 90’s. I loved, “Billy Madison”, “Happy Gilmore”, “The Waterboy”, “Big Daddy” was good, and so was, “Anger Management”. Most of his new movie roles have been garbage lately and I have no interest in seeing, “Jack and Jill”.

He’s still a good guy and funny as hell, but I wish he would get back to choosing good movies again and him agreeing to do, “Candyland”, is even more questionable.

The Hollywood Reporter, reports.

I used to play the “Candyland”, board game a lot when I was a kid. I won’t judge the movie when not seeing the trailer yet though.
