Will Brent Spiner ever play Data again in the new Star Trek movies?

Former Star Trek star, Brent Spiner who played Data the android in, “Star Trek: the Next Generation” seems pretty annoyed at the question if he is ever going to play Data again. Brent took to his twitter page hoping this will help people stop asking him this question. I’m sure he gets asked this all the time if he will ever reprise his iconic role.

Here’s what he said from his official twitter page:

“I think we should all get over me playing Data again. Not logical. Too old. Don’t want to see Micky Rooney as Andy Hardy, Grandad. New Data!”

http://twitter.com/BrentSpiner

So there you have it, Star Trek fans. He will never go back to his Data role ever. He tells you to, “get over it”. LOL!

Sounds like he is willing to pass the torch to someone else to play Data though, does that what he means by, “new Data”?

If Data comes back in the upcoming JJ Abrams sequels, Brent Spiner could be replaced. It wouldn’t look right though, only he could play that character.

Report: Robert Zemeckis finally confirms sequel to “Roger Rabbit” is in the works…

Robert Zemeckis, speaks with MTV News and finally confirms a sequel to, “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” is in the works. Robert says he’s got the original guys who wrote the script of the first one to write the sequel. A script to the sequel is currently in development.

Hear the news from the mouth of Robert Zemeckis the man himself in this video:

“Who Framed Roger Rabbit” is one of my all time favorite films. Always loved it! Hopefully Charles Fleischer will agree to reprise the voice overs of Roger Rabbit. I’m sure they’ll definitely bring back Jessica Rabbit, of course.

Not sure if Bob Hoskins will come back as Eddie Valiant though. I hope they bring back Christopher Lloyd voicing Judge Doom if they bring Judge Doom back. Judge Doom back for revenge, that will be cool!

I’m all for another Roger Rabbit movie! Bring it on!

Film Review: This Is It

So, I just got back from seeing Michael Jackson’s “This Is It”. I finally saw it. My thoughts? First I like to say that I know that MJ has been getting a lot of hate over the years, but if you go see this film, I think this film will silence the nay sayers completely. Michael Jackson, The King of Pop has been accused of being faked and a manufactured pop star for years.

Well, this film will prove you wrong. In Michael Jackson’s, “This is It” which would have been a 50 concert dates at the O2 Arena in London, the rehearsal and behind the scene footage is shown in this film.

While the concert was directed by Kenny Ortega who instructed most everything, Michael Jackson is really the director here. MJ was telling Michael Ortega what to do. MJ and Ortega would even have heated arguments at times. The thing with Michael Jackson is that he won’t stop until he gets what he wants of what he sees in his head for his vision of the show.

Michael Jackson instructed everything. The stage design, he choreographed the dancers moves, he even instructed the musicians in the live band, etc. Best of all, MJ’s vocals were sung live, he didn’t lip synch. Proof on that, he complained that he couldn’t sing higher notes ’cause he had trouble hearing other things. He also wanted more echo on the vocals and did sound check on the vocals quite a lot which also gave proof that he sang live for reals.

One of my favorite parts of the movie, before the song, “The Way You Make Me Feel”, Jackson was instructing the keyboardist on how to start the song off with piano with a slow intro. If the keyboard player didn’t get it right, Jackson would keep teaching him until he got the piano part right. The keyboardist would kind of argue with Jackson a bit, saying to Jackson that’s the way he liked playing it his way, but Jackson replied back, “I’m just doing it the way the audience wants to hear it”. So the keyboardist agrees and did it Jackson’s way.

So for all you nay sayers out there that think Jackson is a fake at music? You may want to see this film and then you would feel really bad for your accusations of MJ being a fake after finding out he was real. Michael Jackson was also backed up by a live band with real musicians, they certainly weren’t going to fake this concert at all. This movie proved it.

In this film, you would see that Michael Jackson really worked his ass off to put on the best concert of all time. When I went to see this, I was thinking that this film was going to be a typical music documentary. It was tons more than that.

Seeing this film made me feel like I was at a Michael Jackson concert, that’s what the film felt like. It felt like you were watching a concert, not a movie. The film was intense, mind blowing and I had goosebumps throughout the entire movie. Very tight and amazing performances with lots of energy.

Does this film deserve BEST PICTURE for the Oscars next year? HELL YES! All the way!

Only thing I was dissapointed in was the “Thriller” performance ’cause the CGI Ghosts, the new zombies, and Jackson arriving on stage by coming out of a Spider was all kind of goofy. Other than that, the rest of the movie was phenomenal.

I think this is the best film I’ve seen all year long. Definitely the best film of the year. I would go see it again. Michael Jackson was never a fake. He did it all himself to get where he is today. Michael Jackson fan or not, you gotta see it. It’ll give you an idea that MJ was a real profesional and you may change your opinion on him after you see it.

Score for Michael Jackson’s “This is It” = **** (4 stars as in “excellent”)

Cool Video: Taylor Mitchell’s final performance before death…

Here is Taylor Mitchell’s final live performance before she was killed by coyotes.

This was videotaped at her home for her house concerts she hosts called, “Squirrels In the Attic”.

The picture is very blury so you won’t be able to see her clearly, but you can still hear her performance very good.

Enjoy. So sad that a great innocent talent has been taken away.

Report: Taylor Mitchell, indie folk singer/songwriter, killed by coyotes…

If you want a scary Halloween story in the world of music, how about this one? A 19 year old singer/songwriter, named, Taylor Mitchell decided to go on a hiking trip in Nova Scotia in Canada at the national park, by herself. She was then attacked by two coyotes and they actually tried to eat her up. The singer later died in Halifax hospital.

Police arrived at the scene immediately, they tried to kill both coyotes, shot one of them, but they both escaped and ran off.

Taylor Mitchell is not a signed music artist, she’s signed for a small indie label in Canada around her area. She seems very popular with her music there.

So sad, very heartbreaking story. She’s very talented, her songs are very good after listening to her stuff.

BREAKING NEWS: Hugh Jackman won’t host 2010 Oscars but who do I think will?

Hugh Jackman has pulled out of hosting the Oscars for the 82nd annual awards for 2010, saying he didn’t want to host two Oscars in a row.

More on it here:

http://news-briefs.ew.com/2009/10/30/sources-hugh-jackman-wont-host-2010-oscars/?xid=rss-msnbc

Hugh Jackman out, who do I think will replace him for the next Oscars?

I think the next host will be no one other than Neil Patrick Harris, or Doogie Howser.

When Neil Patrick Harris hosted the last Golden Globes, tons of people were saying he was doing an incredible job and creating a huge buzz everywhere. I bet your money the Oscar officials have their eye on him.

BREAKING NEWS: Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy to star in “Mad Max: Fury Road”…

Charlize Theron has signed on to star in, “Mad Max: Fury Road”. UK actor, Tom Hardy who starred in “Black Hawk Down”, will star alongside Theron.

Does this mean a Mad Max movie without Mel Gibson?

The article never said anything about Mel Gibson being in it or not. So I think there is a possibility, that Mel Gibson may have quietly said “yes” to star in it and that they are waiting for the right time to announce Mel for the film. I think this article is a tease, that Mel could be in it.

I don’t know, Tom Hardy, is a very built and buffed guy. He also looks like a young Mel Gibson, unless, Tom Hardy plays Max’s son? A son that Max never knew he had?

Even though there is no confirmation of Mel Gibson returning, I am predicting he will say yes. Mel should be finished with Jodi Foster’s “The Beaver” by now, that’s another clue he could be returning.

Mel would be a fool if he turned this down. I think the film will tank without him.
