Oscar history #2: Michael Moore wins for “Bowling for Columbine”, blasts George W. Bush publicily

Another classic Oscar moment, Michael Moore, winning for “Bowling for Columbine”, blasts President Bush publicily on stage. Back then, everybody liked George W. Bush, that’s why Michael Moore got booed. Now, everyone realizes that Michael Moore was right all along, he was a horrible president.

Oscar history #1: Stallone and Muhammad Ali presenting award onstage…

Oscar history video where Stallone and Muhammad Ali presenting an award for “Best Actress in a Supporting Role” way back in 1977, the year after the first Rocky came out.

Question: Could Stallone be presenting an award at this year’s Oscars for “Best Male In a Leading Role” to possibly present the award for Mickey Rourke? Man, that would be fuckin’ sweet if Sly and Mickey on stage at this year’s Oscars. Sly hasn’t been at the Oscars in a long time since 1977. I doubt Sly would be attending the Oscars somehow, but it could be possible Sly might attend. Sly and Mickey will be filming “The Expendables” very soon.

More Oscar history videos to come as the Oscars approaches next Sunday Feb. 22nd.

Resistance 2…another amazing video game…

So I’ve been playing “Resistance 2” quite a lot. I’ve been playing it all week. Getting pretty far in it already even though I’m playing it in the difficult level. In “Resistance” you have a choice to whether or not you want to play the storyline game by yourself, or you can have other people play with you to help fight against the badguys. The action in this game is such a fuckin’ blast!!! So many badguys you gotta fight everywhere and so many weapons to choose from. Such an awesome game. I’m playing this game “single” player, by myself for now to see if I can beat the game by myself.

More info on Resistance 2:

Killer game, just as good as “Dead Space”, and “Metal Gear Solid 4”. “Grand Theft Auto IV” was good, but that game was too easy to beat. I like going for the challenging and difficult games. Once I beat this game, then I’ll probably move on to, “Tomb Raider: Underworld”.

I love the “Tomb Raider” games because those games can be a bitch to beat ’cause them Lara Croft games have very challenging puzzles to solve, plus I have a weird fascination and animated crush on this Lara Croft character, I think most guys who are video gamers have a crush on Lara Croft, that’s probably the only reason why she’s so popular and iconic.

Report: Conan O’ Brien almost done with the Late Show…

There has been many late night talk shows over the years. None of them have been funny and entertaining except for one who really is…that man, is Conan O’ Brien. In my honest opinion, he is the King of late night talk shows. Jay Leno has never been funny, Jimmy Kimmel has never been funny, Carson Daly has never been funny and Craig Ferguson is not even funny either. Conan O’ Brien is the man who knows how to make someone laugh out loud non stop, and he knows how to keep a smile on your face everytime you lay an eye on him. That’s how amazing of a man Conan O’ Brien truly is. The most entertaining late night talk show host since Johnny Carson, indeed.

After a 16 year long run on NBC late night, Conan is moving to California to take over “The Tonight Show”, to replace Jay Leno, which means America will get to see the most funniest man on TV an hour early. He maybe leaving “The Late Night Show” for good, but don’t worry folks, Conan is not dead and he won’t be leaving TV anytime soon.

As this article says, Conan’s been receiving goodbye gifts from famous rock stars, mostly gifts from legendary guitarists. Those who don’t know this, Conan is a musician, I believe he plays both electric and acoustic guitar, he sings too. Conan is also a drummer himself, I think.

Thanks for the entertainment over the years Conan, and we shall soon look forward to seeing you an hour early which will be awesome. We don’t have to stay up late just to watch him. I watch Conan every single night. One of my favorite shows on TV.

Film Review: Friday the 13th

Starring: Jared Padalecki, Danielle Panabaker, Derek Mears

Directed by: Marcus Nispel

I’ve seen a late night showing of “Friday the 13th” last night, which is why there is a delay on the review  yesterday. Here it is right now:

Plot/Synopsis: A group of teenagers go hiking and they discover “Camp Crystal Lake”, after they’ve grown interest in the camp where a vicious serial killer lives. They want to find out if he is still there or if the murder stories aren’t true at all. Of course, the kids use the camp to party…to drink alcohol, smoke weed, and have sex with the girls, then here comes, you know who, Jason Voorhees to join in on the action. One of the teenage girls, named Whitney gets kidnapped by Jason, he keeps her alive because she looks like a girl that Jason knew from his past, Jason seems to have a love interest in Whitney.

Weeks later, a man named Nolan invite his friends to use his father’s cabin to party it up on Camp Crystal Lake. Clay (who is played by Jared Padalecki), goes on a search for his missing sister which he doesn’t know that she is still alive, being held captive at Jason’s house.

Clay shows up at Nolan’s cabin, asking for his missing sister, Nolan gets angry saying they are having a private party and Clay isn’t invited there. When more teenagers goes missing and they show up dead everytime, that’s when they realize there’s a killer out there with a hockey mask, and all hell breaks loose.

I’ve seen all the Friday the 13th movies. Yep, I’ve seen all ten of them in the past. I’ve seen so many horror movies since it’s my favorite genre, so I’m never scared, never jump at the jumpy parts, or never get grossed out ’cause I’m used to watching them kind of films.

This new one, isn’t really a remake at all. It’s a reinvention of the Jason Voorhees character and a totally different story, meaning a reboot. In this new one, they made the Jason character seem more human and more realistic than the earlier films. That is one thing I was impressed with the movie about, the new Jason was great.

However, the story was un-interesting and un-original. It’s just your typical “Friday the 13th” movie. Blood, gore, naked girls, etc. Just like all of them were. The murder scenes could use some improvements, they weren’t as gory and brutal as other people made them about to be. Those who think this movie was scary, and gory must be new to horror films. I didn’t think the movie was all that scary and gory at all. Sure, there were a couple of nasty killings in the movie but they only showed the gross out scenes very little.

I actually was dissapointed in this flick. It’s just your same old typical teen slasher flick, like all the other ones. I was expecting something original and unique, this one wasn’t. Only thing I liked about it, was the improvement of the Jason character, the naked women in the film, and how they stayed true to the other films. That was it. The acting by the cast was kind of bad.

I still find the remakes to Rob Zombie’s “Halloween” and Marcus Nispel’s other remake, “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” to be much better than this. I thought the “Friday the 13th” remake was ok. It’s nothing I would see again and nothing I would buy on DVD.

In other news, I did pick up, “Tomb Raider: Underworld” for the PS3 and picked up the DVD for the Kevin Smith movie, “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” (I’ve always wanted to see it, never saw it so I blind bought the DVD) last night. I plan to watch “Zack and Miri” tonight, and will review that film too.

Score for “Friday the 13th” = ** (2 stars as in “ok”)

Report: Chris Brown on Rihanna beating, “You’ll begin to see her true colors…believe it”…

Yep, those were Chris Brown’s exact words that he wrote in his private facebook page. “You’ll beging to see her true colors…believe it”, is what he wrote. It’s the first time he spoke about beating Rihanna. Does this mean he is admitting to it?

With Valentine’s Day just tomorrow, I’m no relationship expert or no psychologist or nothing, but for you guys that have girlfriends or wives out there, no matter how much of a bitch your lady acts to you, it is wrong to punch her or beat her up. Your girl can drive you mad and drive you up the wall, sure, I know how women can be, but NEVER HIT a woman. She can give you a hard time, she can yell and scream at you or whatever, NEVER retaliate with violence.

You’ll lose respect from the people you love and people close to you, or worse you’re looking at going to prison for like 10-20 years. Guys who thinks it’s okay to hit a woman, don’t deserve any women at all. No matter how famous Rihanna is, she’s still a human being, not a cartoon character.

I hope Chris Brown rots in prison for this. Put him away fast.

Happy Friday the 13th day…

Yes, I will be seeing the “Friday the 13th” remake today, not this afternoon but later this evening. I actually arranged to go see the movie with a couple of people. I mostly go to the movies alone but I like to go with people sometimes.

Also, I officially ordered Smackdown tickets for Glens Falls, March 1st. So I’m definitely going to that too. Smackdown is a televised event so when they air the Smackdown Glens Falls show on TV, try to find me sitting in the audience.

I probably going to be wearing a Triple H t-shirt and my ECW hat. I don’t think I’ll be making a fan sign to hold up or nothing, I’m just going to go there, enjoy the show and have fun. Smackdown is March 1st on a Sunday, that’s when the show will be videotaped, then they will air it on TV Friday night at 8 p.m. on MyNetworkTV.

I’ll be sitting 15 rows back behind ringside. Looking forward to going to Smackdown. I’ll be able to see all the great superstars live in person: Triple H, Undertaker, Edge, Jeff Hardy, Big Show, etc. Going to be great.

Review of “Friday the 13th” movie coming soon. I just hope and pray, it won’t suck, I hope it will be a good one.

Thought: Stephen King better watch out, because Robert Ludlum is about ready to take over his spotlight!!!

Robert Ludlum, an author, seems to be the big thing in the movie business and the video game world. It also seems like Stephen King is no longer in the spotlight in Hollywood anymore. In the past, Hollywood were making movies off of everyone of Stephen King’s novels just about and sometimes video games get made off of his books too. Robert Ludlum, seems to be getting bigger than Stephen King, thanks to the Jason Bourne series.

I’ve never read any Ludlum novels, but it makes me want to start reading some. I think it’s a proven fact that Ludlum will be the next Stephen King of all media. I know Robert Ludlum is dead, but this will be a great honor for him and this is something that he would have of wanted, indeed.
