Cool Video: Ready to see a bootlegged version of “The Evil Dead” trailer?

“The Evil Dead” remake is on it’s way to the big screen and the first teaser made it’s debut at the New York City Comic Con. “The Evil Dead” remake was produced by the same team who brought us the original films: Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell. Sam Raimi didn’t direct this time, but “Juno” writer, Diablo Cody, helped write the script.

I was skeptical of this remake at first, but to my surprise, I was blown away with what I saw, even for a bootleg trailer. Looks surprisingly good! Very similar to the original except it’s an updated version with today’s technology. Look like it’s gonna be a gore fest!

I’m sure the high quality version of the trailer will arrive online soon. Enjoy this, here.

Looks great! Can’t wait for the better quality version of the trailer!

Cool Video: The teaser for “Carrie” remake is now online!

Looks pretty cool so far. Hopefully, this version stays faithful from the book ’cause the Depalma version wasn’t faithful at all. This is just a teaser and I’m sure we’ll see actual footage from the film in trailer #2. Not sure about this yet, will wait for trailer #2 and then I’ll make my decision if I want to see it in theater or not.

Hulk Hogan, a lying piece of garbage like usual???

Hulk Hogan went on Howard Stern, claiming that Bubba the Love Sponge, gave him the blessing to bang Bubba’s wife, at the time Hogan’s marriage was falling apart. Now, Bubba the Love Sponge himself went on his radio show and claimed that Hogan brainwashed him to get his blessing. Bubba also claims Hogan was in on the whole thing, the entire time. Read more, here.

While both are telling their own side of the story, I trust Bubba’s sources more than Hogan’s ’cause Hogan has been known to lying for years.

If you’re getting other bands or regular music fans disrespecting you, there’s nothing wrong with you…

Remember, the old saying? “Haters are gonna Hate”? You hear those words all over the internet. It’s really true if you think about it. When you’re just a musician or an internet blogger or whatever you are, you are always going to get negative people coming out to hate on you for no reason. That’s all these guys do. Hate, hate, hate. It’s the same thing with bodybuilding. I get so much negative shit with my bodybuilding, when I would appreciate it if I got more positive support, yet, I keep getting people doubting my dreams and goals. People should be happy that I got into bodybuilding to become the best shape of my life, but nope, a lot of people want to shit on it. It’s the same with my music dreams as well. Whatever dream you want to have, you’re always going to get those haters.

If you get so many people talking shit about you, don’t feel bad about any of it. Don’t care about what other people think. Just because other people say things about you, doesn’t mean it’s true. What they say about you, is all opinion. Period. As much as I would love to have positive support on everything I do, I know that is not possible. I can’t please everybody. You’re never going to.

If you want to continue doing the things you love to do, you have to be above these guys. That’s why they want to hate on you ’cause they want to see you feel bad about yourself and they want to see you quit. I love doing all the things I love to do. Even with the blogging.

Some people don’t like my blogging style ’cause I’m the type of guy who is not afraid to speak my mind without any fear. I like telling things like it is. That’s who I am. If you don’t like me on here, then you probably won’t like me in person ’cause I’m the same way in the real world, a realist. I don’t let negative people bring me down. It’s just makes me much much stronger.

Edit to add: This rant is not just to defend myself, there are several other musicians I know who are in the same boat as me. Not being respected by the public.

Maybe I am an intermediate bodybuilder, after all!

I kept seeing myself as a beginner ’cause sometimes I can’t tell how my physique looks and sometimes it even feels like I just started bodybuilding yesterday, even though I’ve been working out 5 years. After doing a little reading on how you can tell whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advance. I’ve read that if you’ve been working out between 3-5 years and lifting kind of heavy which I have, you’re in the intermediate level. You’ll move up to the advanced level if you have 10 years or more of experience and lifting extremely heavy weights. Something like that.

Already in pretty decent shape in a short time. I just started changing my sets and reps ’cause it’s getting boring doing the usual 3 sets to 10 reps thing. The 3 sets to 10 reps thing is good to do when you’re just starting out, but if you’re lifting for a while, you need to do start doing more like 4 to 15 reps. That’s what I’ve been doing for a while now with all my workouts.

In the gym, I mostly like to do free weight stuff like various dumbbells and barbell stuff. I only use machines for a few things.

Other goals I hope to achieve is that I want to improve my cardio. I want to start doing better at doing long runs or jogs, maybe a 5k. Since it’s getting colder out during the Fall, I’m gonna have to start doing cardio indoors throughout the cold season. The Spring/Summer I always do cardio outside like jogging or biking. I don’t over do it on cardio ’cause I’m already pretty lean. I only need cardio a few times a week just to keep the muscle moving and the heart rate racing.

Question you have to ask is, do I stop working out throughout the fall/Winter like a lot of people seem to do? OH HEEEELLLLL NOOOO! I keep going, all year round! If I wanted a break from bodybuilding, I would take a full week off, once in a blue moon ’cause you need that. I don’t over do the breaks, like so many do. You’re going to lose what you got if you take too much time off. If my goal is to get bigger, I need to keep going.

I want to become the best shape of my life. Even if I may not compete for the competitions or anything like that, at least I’ll look good for the performing stage when I play my music. So that’s using the bodybuilding physique for something. I don’t do this for nothing.

The Brock’s Horror Film Pick #15: Saw (first one, only)

I’m not really a big fan of SAW, but I think the first one was really good. I only saw like, the first three flicks, and haven’t been following the rest of ’em. Seen one, seen them all. Cary Elwes and Danny Glover together in this movie is gold. I think that’s what I loved the most about it. The sequels after this one kind of ruined it for me. I thought the first one had pretty masterful storytelling, though. A horror movie that actually had a plot, and not just about blood & guts!

Book Review: “Total Recall” by Arnold Schwarzenegger

So I just finished reading, Arnold’s “Total Recall” book, and wow. It was quite a read. The main focuses of his book, was to concentrate on 4 different things: 1) His Bodybuilding Career 2) His film Career 3) His family/personal life 4) Politics. The book was quite a ride. It was addicting and I couldn’t put it down. Arnold’s a pretty honest guy. I believe the whole point of this book is that he wanted to show the world that his life isn’t really perfect like us. He wanted to let people know that he’s human. He may have had ups and downs in his life & career, but so haven’t we, right? So that really doesn’t make Arnold a bad guy! He may have been the world’s most famous bodybuilding champion, movie star, and governor, have all these glorifying things in his life, but he too makes mistakes, and he too can have feelings like most of us.

Pretty much, the first half of the book was mostly his bodybuilding life & career. He talked about how he got his start in bodybuilding and who his influences and heroes are who got him into it such as Reg Park and others. He talked about how he wanted to become the greatest bodybuilder in the world. Yes, he did use steroids and maybe other drugs, but he did those things when they were legal back in the day. Other than that, Arnold was a natural mostly and he really did the hard work himself. His bodybuilding stuff in the book is what interested me the most. It was really inspirational and helped me motivate my own bodybuilding dreams even more.

The movie career stuff was really cool too. Did you know that Arnold almost turned down, “The Terminator”? Did you know that Arnold was originally going to play the Kyle Reese role and the Terminator role, was to be played by O.J. Simpson? This stuff is true! Arnold explained the reason he almost turned down the Terminator was that Arnold wanted to be the hero and not the villain, so James Cameron talked him into joining the movie, by playing the Terminator instead. Arnold was also offered other interesting roles that he either turned down or the studios didn’t want him. For example, Arnold was the original choice to star in “Die Hard” as John McClane, and Arnold was the first choice to play in Steven Spielberg’s “Minority Report”. Other than that, I had a blast reading about Arnold’s other films too, the behind the scene stuff like Conan and all his other films.

Arnold also described what it’s like working for, James Cameron. Do you think James Cameron is a nice guy to work with? Arnold says no. Cameron has a temper problem, if you don’t give him what he wants, Cameron would scream, yell, and threaten people. He would go off in a tantrum. That’s how Cameron always is. He have to use temper for artistic integrity of his movies, his way of making the movies perfect.

The 2nd half of the book focused mostly on his political life and family life. The reason Arnold doesn’t have the big muscular physique anymore is because of his big heart surgery in 1997 and after that, he couldn’t workout as hard anymore like he used to. He still works out today and keeps in shape but not like he used to in his past.

His political stuff about becoming governor was really interesting too. He may have had ups and downs in his political career, but what he did here, was pretty amazing stuff. Reading this stuff, just made me respect his political life even more. I remember watching all that Governor election stuff when it was going on. As for all the allegations of him groping women, taking her clothes off in an elevator, etc. In the book, he says stuff weren’t true but he admits that he misbehaves badly sometimes, but all this sexual misconduct were going on around the time the Governor election were happening. These women were just trying to bring him down so they try and get Arnold to lose.

Arnold may have had two affairs with different women, one was actress, Brigitte Neilsen in which the affair happened during the filming of “Red Sonja”, right before Arnold got married to Maria Shriver. The second affair was of course, with the house maid, Mildred, in which they made a baby with, but Arnold explained that happened 14 years ago, while filming the movie, “Batman & Robin”. It may have been bad for Arnold to do all these things, yes, but you gotta give him credit for having the balls for being real about this stuff, ya know? This is why I forgive him ’cause of his honesty about everything. He admits he was bad about everything in the book. That’s another point of the book, it was a public confession. His way of publicly apologizing to the world of his mistakes. He may have separated with his wife, Maria, but the separation was, “amicable”. It wasn’t anything over something negative, it was something they had to do ’cause it was best for the kids and all.

Arnold talked about Sly, but a little bit. I was hoping Arnold would go into detail about his friendship with Sly, but surprisingly, Arnie didn’t talk about him much. Arnold first met Sly in person at the Golden Globe awards around the time Rocky was coming out in the 70’s. Sly was going to cast Arnold for, “Paradise Alley” but the role never happened. Before the Planet Hollywood team up with him, Sly, and Bruce Willis owning the restaurant chain together, Arnold said, he and Sly hated each other before then. They didn’t get along at first, but they had to bury the hatchet if they wanted to do “Planet Hollywood” together. I was kind of disappointed that Arnold didn’t talk much about, “The Expendables” movies. He did a little bit toward the end, but it was brief.

He may have had a huge ego problem, yes, true, but sometimes you need to have a huge ego, to make your dreams come true. Arnold did just that. He did whatever it took to get whatever he wanted. I respect him for those reasons. Arnold is an interesting guy, and he is somebody I would like to meet in person someday. This was a good read for any Arnold fan. If you’re an Arnold fan, pick it up soon.

Hulk Hogan continues to be a self centered douchebag…

First, Hulk contacts the FBI, and now he’s suing his former friend, Bubba the Love Sponge over the sex tape. I mean come on, give me a damn break, Hulk! I’m sure all the wrestlers he feuded with in the past in real life, are laughing at him right now. Hulk was the one who took upon Bubba’s offer to bang his wife, if what Hulk says is true. Hulk should have known better that someone was going to video tape it and put it out there for the world to see. Like I said before, it’s all Hulk’s ego. Trying to protect, “Hulkamania”. He thinks he can get away with this shit. Celebs and famous people have all their right to privacy, yes, but you must be responsible if you’re going to do these things. Hulk wasn’t responsible. This is called, karma, Hulk. Think about why your ex-wife got arrested for DUI.

The Brock’s Horror Film Pick #14: Nosferatu (1922)

If you want another good vampire flick, to watch on Halloween night, here’s another perfect one. “Nosferatu”, the original 1922 silent film, directed by F.W. Murnau and starring Max Schreck. It is somewhat adapted from the “Dracula” novel by Bram Stoker, but the writers made different changes with the story here and there.  This is a pretty scary film. Not a lot of people watch silent films anymore, but I love them. It’s real cinema, and the directing style and acting back in those days were the real deal. Count Orlock was a pretty scary guy.

Enjoy the film in the video below, I also believe it’s Netflix streamable.

So is it okay to think that it’s wrong for middle aged women to be sexy, yet it’s alright for older men to be half naked? Absolutely!

The argument was, since I criticized Madonna for stripping on stage in her 50’s, sure enough, some clown had to come in here to criticize me about Arnold and Sly. This reader tried to make the argument about, since I say it’s wrong for middle aged women to be stripping and getting naked, he says he thinks it’s funny that I think it’s okay for Arnold and Sly to show off their bodies, when they’re much older. Anybody who says that, deserves a good slap across the face.

Like I said before in the other post, there’s a big difference between men and women. When Madonna was younger back then, it was okay for her to strip on stage all she wants to. Why? Because when women are young, that’s what people like to see. They don’t mind seeing that. However, when a woman is in her 50’s or older, stripping down to her bra and panties and doing all kinds of sexual acts on stage, what is wrong with that picture??? There are plenty of pop stars from the past who has done similar things like Madonna, but as they get older, they don’t do the sexual stuff anymore ’cause of their age. Yet, Madonna still sees herself as this sex symbol. She doesn’t have a sexy body anymore like she once had. Her skin looks awful now. Her body looks flabby and you can tell that she’s aging.

When men go shirtless or strip down to their underwear, that’s perfectly normal. Men do this stuff ’cause they aren’t trying to be sexy or to show off, ’cause it’s a pretty normal thing for men to do. Do you see the point? Men can do this stuff all they want to at any age. It’s different for women though, think about it. No women hating here. Just being realistic.

Would you want to see a 50 or 60 year old women pole dancing wearing nothing but lingerie?

Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE hot and sexy women doing sexual things, but it depends on the age. My age preference would be women around her 20’s – 40’s or a little older. Any older than that, no thanks.

You can’t compare both men and women, when they want to show off. Age doesn’t matter with the men, but with the women it does.
