Report: James Spader in talks for CEO as Dunder Mifflin for “The Office”…

“Boston Legal” star, James Spader is in talks to be the new CEO for Dunder Mifflin in “The Office”, as replacement for Steve Carell. He already guest starred in the season finale.

More on it, here.

James Spader is a phenomenal actor. I never watched “Boston Legal”, but I remembered Spader in the first “Stargate” film and the drama, “Crash”.

No matter who replaces Steve Carell, the show is going to bomb without him. I’m pretty sure the ratings will drop next season. The show is going to get canceled, just watch.

Report: Julia Ormond will play Lara in Snyder’s “Superman: Man of Steel”, Christopher Meloni to play an undisclosed character…

Woah, is the new “Superman” film by Zack Snyder going to be full of hot MILF’s or what? First Amy Adams for Lois Lane, then Diane Lane for Martha Kent and now we have Julia Ormond in talks to play Superman’s Krypton mother, Lara. Julia is most famous for her role in, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”.

The 2nd Superman casting this week, Christohper Meloni former “Oz” and “Law & Order: SVU” star is in talks to star in the film with an undisclosed character. Meloni’s character for “Superman” is not being revealed at this moment but the speculation is that he could be playing Lex Luthor.

More on the story, here.

As for Christopher Meloni’s character. I don’t think he is Lex Luthor. I think Meloni is the new Perry White, the head honcho of the Daily Planet. He would make a great Perry White more than Luthor, in my opinion.

After leaving “Law & Order: SVU”, Chris Meloni is already getting big movie roles. Looks like he wants to be a full time movie star now as I predicted he would! He’s becoming too famous for TV much like Steve Carell.

Thought: About Whitey Bulger being arrested…

So the big news, that “Whitey” Bulger has finally been captured after all these years. The famous former mob man whose been on the run for a long time. They finally got him!

When I was in Cape Cod, this story was pretty huge there in the local news. It was on TV all day long and he was on the cover of every local newspaper in the Cape Cod area pretty much. While I don’t know much about the history of “Whitey” Bulger, it’s still good news.

No matter how long ago, you commit crime, they never forget. You can run but you can’t hide.

Thought: Gay marriage is violating the FMA

So yesterday the big news was announced that “Gay Marriage” has been officially legalized in the New York State. So NY has became the sixth state to legalize same sex marriage. So the question you’re all wondering is, do I agree with it? For you long time readers of my blog site, I’ve been strongly against “same sex marriage” for years. I still stand by it too. So no, I do not agree with same sex marriage being legalized here in NY. It shouldn’t be legalized anywhere.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t hate gay people. I respect them, but in my opinion, a marriage should be between a man and a woman. Gay marriage is not really “marriage” if you think about it. Seriously, think about it.

The second you disagree with “same sex marriage”, everyone will call you the bad guy for it. People will accuse you of hating and disrespecting gay people, when that is not the intention. Why do some people disagree with same sex marriage? For a lot of reasons.

1. It violates the FMA, which stands for “Federal Marriage Amendment“.

2.  I don’t think Thomas Jefferson would have approved of it if he was still here today, he would have banned it all across the country.

3. Not good for politics.

4. Imagine what kind of family gay people would have, when they get children. Most children would want a mother and father. I don’t think children would enjoy having parents as a “Dad & Dad” and “Mom & Mom” type of thing. Watch the movie, “The Kids Are Alright” as an example of this. That movie is about two lesbian women with children living with them and the kids in that film don’t enjoy having lesbians raising them.

5. It gives Adam & Eve a bad name.

I can think of plenty of more reasons why it’s bad. People call it “equality” and “civil rights” or whatever, but this isn’t a “civil right” if you think about it.

I don’t understand why people get all pissed off when someone disagrees with “same sex marriage”. It’s pretty ridiculous, in my opinion. We all have a right to an opinion. Not everyone is going to agree with “same sex marriage”, and I’m positive I’m not alone on this either.

I’m sick of people who support “same sex marriage” trying to get us to change our minds and get us to respect the gay people. We don’t have to “respect” gay marriage. Our opinions won’t change and mine won’t either.

Back from vacation…

To those readers who were wondering where I’ve been, I’ve been on a few day vacation from Cape Cod, Mass. I did film some video, so I might work on it tonight. If not tomorrow. I got a lot of news to catch up on in this blog.

Report: Former “Lost” star Terry O’ Quinn to return to island adventure in “Hawaii Five-O”…

John Locke and Jin from “Lost” will reunite in the new “Hawaii Five-O” show for Season 2. Well sort of. Former “Lost” star Terry O’ Quinn will return to island adventure in the new version of “Hawaii Five-O”. This makes it so that Terry and Daniel Dae Kim (who played Jin from “Lost”) will reunite with the new show.

Terry hasn’t done any acting at all since he finished “Lost”, in 2010.

Read more on the story, here.

It’s nice to see “Lost” actors getting work again. Terry O’ Quinn for “Hawaii Five-O”, Mattew Fox for “World War Z”, Josh Holloway (Sawyer) is in “Mission Impossible IV”, and now I’ve heard that Evangeline Liily (Kate from “Lost”) has been casted for “The Hobbit” remake.

Speaking of “Lost”, I’ve started season 5 this week. Watched the first 5 episodes of “Lost – Season 5” already.

Thought: Ebert is only speaking from experience…

If you knew Roger Ebert’s history, Ebert was an alcoholic in his younger years way before he was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. Ebert quit drinking in 1979 and he has been a long time member of the AA. Read his old blog posts about his experiences, here.

His comments about Ryan Dunn on twitter, may have been controversial, but he couldn’t help it. As soon as Ebert heard about the news, I’m sure it brought back memories about his past. So he found himself on twitter, ranting about it and calling out on it.

The thing is folks, that not everyone is going to grieve over someone who died over a drinking & driving accident. Other people have the same feelings. I’m pretty sure if Ebert didn’t say it, somebody else would have.

I love Ebert’s new blog about Ryan Dunn: here. Like Ebert or hate him, he is right on everything he said.

On top of that, I’m 100% positive that this wasn’t the first time that Ryan drove while being drunk. I’m sure he’s done it plenty times in his past, but does it surprise you that it finally got to him? No. I’m certainly not surprised, when it comes to these Jackass guys.

What Ebert said may have been controversial and harsh, true, but it was meant to be. He means well. What he did was a wake up call. It’ll get yourself thinking, “Gee, maybe he’s right, I better not drink & drive”. Other celebs drove while drunk: Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Keifer Sutherland, etc.

Drinking and driving is never cool. It doesn’t matter who you are. If you’re at a party or at a bar, you’re drunk off your ass, DON’T DRIVE. My original song, “The Crash” is about a guy who gets a cool car, so he takes his girlfriend for a ride. Yes, in the song they were drunk, he survives the crash but she doesn’t. “The Crash” is a protest song, a song about drinking & driving. I haven’t performed that song at a gig in a long time but I plan on reviving it.

Back to Ebert/Dunn controversy, the news hit Ebert pretty hard. It scared him. That’s why he couldn’t help himself but write that comment. I understand why he did it and I believe in him. He may have gotten a backlash for it but he was willing to take the heat for telling the truth.

Even if you’re not driving, you shouldn’t be riding in vehicles with a driver who is drunk. This is why I stopped going to bars and going to house parties ’cause this shit still happens everywhere. I gave up alcohol a long time ago. I wasn’t an alcoholic, I was an occasional drinker, but I had to give it up completely for my fitness routines.

What if Lindsay Lohan did get herself killed in a drinking and driving crash? I’m sure much more people would be saying worse things than Roger Ebert have said. Don’t drink and drive. This should be a lesson for you.

CRUMBS give me a shout out in Times Union for being favorite blog commenter…

If you need proof on how the people over at CRUMBS are big supporters of me, here it is:

Check it out.

When other local musicians do interviews for the local papers, I never get mentioned.  So thanks Guzzo for the shout out.

Yes, I post at CRUMBS on a regular basis. It’s the only Times Union blog that I read and post on. I don’t pay attention to other TU blogs, just the CRUMBS one.

I’m pretty flattered.

Thought: Is facebook really the devil of social media? I would think so…

Okay, I’ll admit it. I hate facebook. Fucking hate it. Why do I continue to use it anyway? The only reason I’m at facebook is I use it to help promote my blog site, music, and hoping to get gig opportunities. I also go there to interact with local musicians that I know around the area and talk with fans/supporters in a more personal way. Sure, I use it hoping to make some new friends in my life, keep in touch with old class mates from school I haven’t seen in a long time and keep in touch with family members, but I mostly use it to promote my website & music. That’s pretty much it.

Read this little article on how Facebook is turning more users off, here.

My personal facebook page seems to get more action with people there than here in this blog. People respond to my posts more there instead of here. Not sure why that is, maybe people don’t feel like registering to a wordpress site? I have to leave my site where people have to register just to keep anonymous haters out of here.

I agree with that one person in that article that mothers posting pictures of their newborn kids publicly in facebook is wrong. Even worse, mothers even post x-ray photos of unborn babies publicly. I don’t know why couples make this stuff publicly when this stuff should be for your own privacy to enjoy. Not only that, posting pics of your children online is very dangerous. People don’t know how dangerous this is, no wonder predators and pedophiles are on the rise. That’s why it’s dangerous. It could attract criminals to your pages. Kids have been kidnapped because social media is part of the reason. No wonder so many children go missing these days.

More reasons on how facebook is the devil, too many people are drama queens. People have weird communication skills. People can get pretty negative in their walls and comment discussions as well. I also don’t like how couples make their romantic lives public when it should be private. People also post too much personal information about their lives when they don’t realize what they are doing. When women have relationship troubles or having trouble hooking up with a guy, all they do is complain about it.

Plus, people use facebook irresponsibly because too many illiterate people use the site to play facebook games, a lot of them catch facebook viruses, etc.

I thought about leaving the site too, but I don’t think I can. Need to keep in touch with musicians and venues who might want to book me for gigs, that’s why I stay there. Facebook is shit. It continues to be shit with their new settings and features that I don’t like on there as well.

Netflix Pick (PS3): The Boondock Saints

“The Boondock Saints” movies are the most talked about movies on the internet. I’ve never even seen them before. So since, “The Boondock Saints”, the first one was viewable on Netflix for the PS3, I decided to check it out over the weekend.

It tells the story of twin Irish brothers, named Connor and Murphy MacManus. In the beginning of the film, they kill mafia thugs by accident. They turned themselves in and they were considered heroes by the public for what they did, so the twins were released from jail. After this, they continue to kill mafia gang members while Willem Dafoe’s character who plays Det. Paul Smecker, who is a crazy and weird guy, investigates the killings. As Det. Smecker investigates the crimes, he began to see that the MacManus twins were heroes too.

I can see why this movie is very popular online. I thought it was one of the best action movies I’ve seen in a long time. It was very entertaining all the way through. I was never bored. It’s an action comedy. There’s humor throughout the film as well. I thought the action scenes were fun. I had no problems with this movie at all. Just a perfect action movie and it ended up being one of my top 10 favorite action flicks. Makes me want to see the second one soon, I’ll rent the second one from Netflix on DVD. I don’t have much to say about this movie ’cause when you love a film so much, that’s all you need to say about it.
