Report: Wesley Snipes is off to prison today, sucks to be him…

Wesley Snipes, the former action movie star and former “Blade” star, is locked up in prison today. The actor tried his best to stay out of prison until after Christmas so he can spend time with his family for the Holidays, but of course, that wasn’t allowed. Larry King even tried to help him. I feel sorry for Wes, but he brought this upon himself. He must be responsible for taxes, maybe the three years will teach him.

Being able to take criticism in the fitness world…

Some people can take honest criticism in the fitness world and some people can’t. When you can’t, you get all pissed off and defensive when someone tells you that you are doing things wrong in the fitness world. You think you are doing things correct almost all the time, no matter what people think of you. If that’s the kind of attitude you’re going to have in fitness, then, you have no right to be into fitness to begin with. One thing to keep in mind is that when you get into fitness, you are going to get criticized by people. People will criticize your physique and people will criticize your workouts and your routines.

I have gotten criticized on how I did things. Some people said I did things wrong and said some not so positive things about my physique before, but I can take it like a man. It’s all good to me. That’s what fitness is all about. It’s all about being criticized. Other people will be honest about how you do things, whether you like it or not. That’s how the fitness game goes.

When people are critical about you in the fitness world, it is nothing against you and it’s nothing personal. It is how people get together in the fitness world and help each other out. We all want to get together and help each other build muscle, lose weight or just get healthy. That’s why people get together in the fitness world to help each other out in the community. If people say you do workouts in terrible form, they are going to say it. If you need improvement on certain parts of your body, they will say it. If people disagree with your routines and say you’re doing way too much, oh yes, they will say it. If they disagree with your dieting, they will say it.

If you’re going to start up a fitness blog, posting pictures or go to fitness forums, you’ll have to respect a response. If you don’t like the way people say things and run away from them, and not discuss things with people, then you’re sure not going to be a good coach or a fitness trainer. You’re going to be one who has a huge ego who think they are right all of the time. I am not always right in the fitness world as I still have a lot of learning to do.

Brock’s Top 10 Best Music Albums of 2010

This year was surprisingly a decent year for music. What albums this year that I think were the best? The list is below, I’ll name 10 of them.

1. Jeff Beck “Emotion & Commotion”

(This was such a beautiful album, all the way through. I’ve been a Jeff Beck fan for many years. He has always been unrecognizable and unnoticed, for a better word, underrated. Jeff has been releasing solo albums for many years, ever since the ’60’s. He is still going to this day. Jeff’s albums, “Wired” and “Blow By Blow” are indeed essential classics, don’t get me wrong, but I think “Emotion & Commotion” was the best album he’s ever done. He does a great job putting a classical orchestra on this album and blending it with his full band full of rock, jazz, and fusion. There are even covers of “I Put a Spell On You” and “Over the Rainbow”. Special guest singers such as Joss Stone and Imelda May make the record. There are of course, instrumentals. Jeff’s guitar playing really speaks to you. This is why I put Jeff Beck’s album as my no. 1 of 2010.)

2. Slash – self titled debut

(This is another one of my favorite albums of 2010. It really was a mind blowing record and as usual Slash, never disappoints with his amazing guitar playing. There are great choices of singers on this album too from Ian Astbury to Ozzy to Chris Cornell to Andrew Stockdale. This is a fun album to listen to and it’s also one of the most played albums on my Ipod. It’s such a great album. It’s so different than Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver. Slash wanted to show the world that he can sound like himself on the guitar and of course, he achieved that goal)

3. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers “Mojo”

(Again, I’ve been a long time fan of Tom Petty music, and this is so far, the best album he’s ever done. This is a great guitar record. Better guitar playing than he’s ever had in the past. The songs are longer, there’s more improvisational jams and it’s more psychedelic then his past albums. This album is addicting to listen to. The songwriting itself is actually great. What I loved the most about this album is that Tom really stayed away from pop radio hit songs which is what he’s known for and just concentrated on the serious songwriting process. This album is amazing!)

4. Neil Young “Le Noise”

(Neil Young is back with another killer record this year. I love this album so much. It’s just him and his electric guitar. He only has two acoustic songs on it. How is he able to successfully make a studio album with just him and his electric guitar alone? Well, he plays a hollow body electric guitar. A hollow body electric guitar is almost like an acoustic, so if you play a hollow body electric guitar you don’t really need a band. Neil proves that you can play electric guitar without a full band backing him up, plus the songs on the album itself are just absolutely amazing)

5. Katy Perry “Teenage Dream”

(People are going to hate me for including this album on here, but I don’t care. I just love this album. I can’t stop listening to it. Whenever I listen to my Ipod, I always find myself listening to this album, yes, Katy is that addicting. She is one pop artist that I love and she does have the talent. She has personality and a great stage presence, good looks. Her songs are fun)

6. Johnny Cash “Ain’t No Grave”

(Rick Rubin and the American label released Johnny Cash’s final album before his death. It was released on February 23rd of this year, three days before his 78th birthday. This is not the best of the American series, “American IV: The Man Comes Around” will always be the best one, but I did like “Ain’t No Grave”. Johnny sticks with his usual gospel, country and bluegrass songs, along with a few cover songs of other artists. It’s a good album to listen to)

7. Iron Maiden “The Final Frontier”

(the gods of metal & prog rock, Iron Maiden, returns with another explosive album. I have followed Iron Maiden’s career for years. This is not their greatest album, I like their older stuff more of course, but the “Final Frontier” was a fun listen. Bruce’s singing has gotten better and the guitar playing is different than the older albums. The songs are more emotional too. I liked this album and find myself listening to it quite a lot)

8. Black Label Society “Order of the Black”

(This isn’t my favorite BLS album but it is a really good one. There is a usual mix of metal, shred, acoustic, slow piano ballads, etc. like all BLS albums have. This was a fun album to listen to,that’s all I can say about that )

9. Ozzy “Scream”

(Ozzy came back with a new solo album this year and debuting his new guitarist, Gus G. I was really impressed with Gus G.’s style, he is really quite good, but of course, he is not Ozzy’s best guitarist. Randy Rhoads will of course, always be the best, no one could top Randy. I would say this though that Gus G. is definitely better than Zakk Wylde and Jake E. Lee. This was a pretty fun album and there are some tight songs on it. Ozzy’s singing is still the same, of course, I just like Gus G’s guitar playing)

10. Eminem “Recovery”

(This isn’t Eminem’s best work, his older stuff is better, but this new album is definitely a huge improvement than his last few albums. This album is really great. I’ve always been a fan of Eminem’s music. This album is pretty good. Glad he’s back at the top of his game where he belongs)

There’s the list. I wanted to put more but only had room for 10. Maybe I’ll do the top 10 Best Movies list later tonight and if not, definitely tomorrow. Enjoy.

BREAKING NEWS: “Blue Valentine” is now officially rated R!!! Say goodbye to NC-17!!!

Movie fans wanted the romantic movie, “Blue Valentine”, which stars Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling to be rated R, not NC-17. Harvey Weinstein, founder of Weinstein Co., listened to the public and helped fight for the R rating against the MPAA. Well guess what? Harvey won the battle. The film is now rated R instead of NC-17.

The Associated Press, reports.

This is really great news. I’m glad it’s now R, so the film can now be seen everywhere in theaters. The film has potential to be a hit and has potential to get a lot of “Oscar” nominations too. It might be Best Picture worthy.

I’m not into romantic movies that much but this one looks like a really good one. I’m sold to this film and will be the first in line to see this film when it comes out! Harvey Weinstein may not be everyone’s favorite person in the movie industry, but he did good this time around! Thanks Harve!

RIP: Elizabeth Edwards 1949 – 2010

Elizabeth Edwards, attorney, best selling author, health care activist, and the wife of famous politician, John Edwards, died yesterday after a long battle with breast cancer. In 2007, she was trying very hard to battle it, and just a couple of days ago, the family announced to the public that she herself had stopped treatment, and revealed to the public that she wanted to pass on. Sadly, she posted an emotional goodbye message on her facebook page. She passed away at her home in Chapel Hill, surrounded by friends and family. She was 61 years old.

How to get ripped at very low cost!

I posted this in a facebook note, so I thought I would pass it along and post it here too.
——————————————————————————————————————-

How to get ripped at very low cost!!!

A lot of people make the mistake that it’s very expensive to get ripped. It doesn’t have to be. There are always way to get the body of your dreams and become successful at it, at a very low cost. How can it be done? Well let me give you a step by step instruction on how it can be done. It’s very easy. You don’t even need a gym membership and still be able to do these things. You can do these things any time of the day if you have a busy schedule. Workout early in the morning or late at night if you’re busy during the day if you have to.

Here is how to get ripped very cheap! Getting ripped cheap, means doing it for $100 or lower, you don’t want to go any higher than $100.

  • Get a cheap set of dumb bells – Dumb bells aren’t very expensive.  You can get affordable dumb bells just about anywhere. At craigslist, yard sales, and very fitness shops around your area. You can get a cheap set of dumb bells for around $50 – $100. There are dumb bell workouts for every single part of the body,  upper and lower. Just do research on the workouts for dumb bells.
  • Cardio – If you need to do your cardio, you don’t really need to go the gym to do those cardio machines. During nice weather season, go for a jog or run or ride the bicycle outside, this can be for free. During rainy or snowy weather and can’t do cardio anywhere, buy yourself a jump rope, which can only cost you, a $20 – $30.
  • Chest workouts – If you need to do your chest workouts,  you don’t need to get an expensive bench press set to do that with, you don’t need to do that at the gym either. Just learn various chest workouts with dumb bells that you can simply do on the floor at home. You can also buy a set of cheap push up grips which can cost you about $20 – $30, very cheap.
  • Resistance bands – I personally don’t do any resistance band stuff yet, but you don’t need to go to the gym or get those expensive workout DVD’s that comes with free resistance bands. You can get a cheap set of resistance bands anywhere for around $20 – $30.
  • Back workouts – Need to do your back workouts for lats, middle and lower? Again, dumb bells will do the trick. You can also buy a cheap chin up bar or an Iron Gym for around $20 – $30.
  • Ab workouts – Don’t get tricked by advertisements you see on TV with those silly Ab spinner machines and all that other silly ab stuff that could be very expensive. You can get ripped abs and get that sexy washboard for free. All you need is a floor and your body. Just learn a couple of ab crunches and that’s all you really need!
  • Supplements/Protein shakes – The supplement industry can be very expensive and not cheap. You don’t really need to buy Whey protein ’cause it’s going to cost you a lot of money, when you run out, it’ll force you to buy more and more each time. You also don’t need expensive supplements. If you need your protein drink, there are always ways to make it homemade without using supplements and it’ll cost you very cheap with recipes from the grocery store. On top of that, supplements can be dangerous to your health. I don’t drink protein drinks anymore for my own reasons, and soon I’m going to do some research on recipes to make my own protein drink without supplemental products. It might take a lot of egg whites and other things, though.
  • Healthy food – Yes, healthy food at the grocery store can be pretty expensive. If you can’t afford it, there are always way to eat healthy and cheap. Do some gardening and grow it yourself. If you hunt or fish, that’s another good way to do it too. Also, just watch the prices at the grocery store. You don’t need to buy organic food all the time.

So there’s some ideas. If you can’t afford the gym membership anymore and want to keep going in fitness, follow the above steps and you’re on your way. You don’t need Tony Horton’s DVD sets, his sets are popular because a lot of people don’t have time to go to the gym or can’t afford it. Plus the TeamBeachBody stuff are a waste of money and fake. I wouldn’t go through it and neither should you.

BREAKING NEWS: Cate Blanchett will reprise role as Galadriel for “The Hobbit”!!!

Cate Blanchett is set to reprise her role as Galadriel for Peter Jackson’s, “The Hobbit”. So far, two cast members from the original trilogy will be in the “Hobbit”. I’m pretty sure Ian McKellen is still playing Gandalf too.

Deadline, reports.

Galadriel wasn’t a character in “The Hobbit” book, so Peter must of wrote her in the script somehow. Typical hollywood changing things around as usual.

Thought: Julian Assange is someone I wouldn’t support or trust, here is why…

Today is quite a day. Since today’s shocking announcement that Julian Assange turned himself into London police made the headlines, his army of supporters and fans of Wikileaks, came out for his support, defending the man. I never realized this guy was popular. I thought everyone hated him, honestly, I did. I thought wrong.

Why am I not a fan of Julian Assange and his site, Wikileaks? Read this article, here, and you would find out why he shouldn’t be supported.

Not only that people shouldn’t be supporting a psychopathic rapist, they also shouldn’t be supporting someone who is evil. Everyone on the internet worships this guy. Seeing him as he’s some type of hero. Why do people respect him? People in facebook told me that he’s doing something good for the community by exposing the truth of American politics.

Shutting down Wikileaks was a good thing too! Why? Because if they kept the site up and running, Julian would have done much worse things to make the United States of America look bad. Do you really want Julian posting private information from President Obama and confidential stuff from the White House, that nobody really needs to know? You also never know what he could do to us Americans, he could hack into our computers and post information on Wikileaks. We wouldn’t want that to happen would we? He is an expert hacker. He could do anything. He could have done much worse things to American troops fighting in Afghanistan. What about exposing things about 9/11 and New York City? He could have done something about Washington D.C. too.

The fact is, that this guy is a monster. He needs to be locked up. It’s good he got caught for rape, but they’ll charge him somehow with the Wikileaks website. I just can’t believe that people would support a madman like him. If Julian walks this rape case a  free man, (which he probably will), he’ll go back to Wikileaks and try to bring it back up or create a different site.

All those fans and supporters that support this man, are really delusional. This guy is not a hero. He is just an egomaniac trying to get all the attention for himself.
