Report: Angelina Jolie to sit in the director’s chair for, “50 Shades of Grey”, movie???

Deadline is reporting, that there is a rumor going around that Angelina Jolie, is in talks to direct the hot and steamy novel, “50 Shades of Grey”, into a big screen movie. As expected, Hollywood is already on the move to make that novel into a big screen movie.

Some may not like the choice of Angie being the director, but I think it’s perfect. Why? Since the novel is about kinky sex and bondage stuff, Angie is into that. I would think she would know what she’s doing. Do a little research on her past. She took some bondage photos during her modeling days in her earlier career. She used to be a wild woman back then, and I’m sure she still is.

On top of that, Angie has been in a few erotic movies herself: “Gia”, “Original Sin”, etc. I hope the rumor is true. By the way, I haven’t read the book yet. I still have it on my Ipad. Will read it soon.

Can The Donald’s ego get any bigger?

Cool Video: Tarantino’s “Django Unchained” trailer is finally here!!!

Things to watch out for in this film: 1. Foot fetish cameos 2. An actress to steal the show (most likely Kerry Washington will have a scene that will make the audience go crazy, Tarantino is usually good at giving women the best scenes) 3. Tarantino to give himself a cameo in this movie?

I really can’t wait for this movie. I’m a huge Tarantino fan, love all of his movies, that includes, “Jackie Brown”, and “Death Proof”, they’re both great films as well.

Enjoy the trailer here. It’s too bad Kurt Russell dropped out of this movie though, I really wanted to see him in this.

Cool Photos: Noomi Rapace catches everyones attention in NYC wearing a red dress…

You ever had one of those days, where a beautiful woman walks by and everyone can’t keep their eyes off her? Well, NYC in Manhatten just experienced that. Noomi Rapace, made an appearance in NYC, to appear on the David Letterman show to promote, “Prometheus”. She wore a red dress that caught the eye of onlookers and she even stopped traffic.

See the pics, here.

The comments in that article are trash talking her, but I think she’s a gorgeous woman no matter what she wears.

Report: “Justice League” live action film finally gets a writer…

Welp, as I predicted in the past, due to the success of “The Avengers”, I had a feeling Warner Bros., is going to move forward with the, “Justice League” film. Warner Bros., hired writer, Will Beall to write the script, but he was hired secretly last year. It’s no secret anymore!

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to the “Justice League” movie, and I am hoping, just hoping that Henry Cavill will still play Superman, Christian Bale will still play Batman and Ryan Reynolds will still play, Green Lantern. I’m sure Warner Bros., will do all they can to get those guys together.

As for who to play the Flash and Wonder Woman? I don’t know.

I thought “The Avengers” was an incredible flick. Could, “Justice League” top it? With the right director and right script, they could. I’m sure WB’s will do all they can to get Christopher Nolan involved too.

Film Review: Chernobyl Diaries

Starring: Jesse McCartney
Directed by: Bradley Parker

Today, I decided to go to the mall to get my haircut done, check out a movie and do a little shopping. I ended up seeing the horror film, “Chernobyl Diaries”. I’m a fan of those low budget, found footage movies. Here is my review:

Plot/Synopsis:
Six tourists hire an extreme tour guide who takes them to the abandoned city Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor. During their exploration, they soon discover they are not alone.

A lot of people are giving this film negative reviews, but did they see the same film that I saw? I thought it was a pretty good one. I was surprised on how realistic the film was. Even though this film is fiction, it is based on real life events. Remember, the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, was actually the real thing in, Ukraine. The 6 tourists wanted to check the place out, and enjoy themselves. They noticed something dangerous about the place already, and next thing you know, they learn that there are all kinds of dangerous animals. Mostly mutated dogs, bears, and there was even mutated fish in the film. Back in the real life story of the 1986 Chernobyl radioactive accident, it actually mutated animals and perhaps, actual humans too.

A lot of people mistakenly called this a zombie film, but after thinking about it, the things in this movie, are not zombies. They are mutants. Animals and humans were mutated by radiation. I was pretty surprised on how real this movie was. Oren Peli, just wanted to remind people of the 1986 Chernobyl accident, which most people seem to have forgotten. Not sure if the actual movie itself was filmed at the Reactor, probably not, because I’m sure the place is still closed down to this day ’cause it might be dangerous to go there still.

Watching the movie, I was even creeped out at some parts in the film. Probably, the scenes where they were exploring the reactor trying to find their missing friends. The acting and directing wasn’t the greatest, but I was most impressed with the reality of the film, that it was based on the real thing. I’m sure these movies will get turned into a series of sequels, so I’m sure the sequels will reveal more secrets of this film. How humans and animals were mutated? How the radioactive accident happened? Things like that. The casting wasn’t the greatest either, but I was most impressed with the blonde girl in the film, who played Zoe. I think her real name is Ingrid Bolso Berdal, who is a Norwegian actress. She’s a pretty hot woman and I couldn’t get my eyes off her.

I thought, “Chernobyl Diaries”, was a good movie. I just wish it got more respect it deserves. It didn’t do well in the box office. Well, most “found footage” movies don’t do too well in the box office. Unless, a “Paranormal Activity” movie comes out, you know it’s going to be a guaranteed hit.

Score for “Chernobyl Diaries” = *** (3 stars as in “good”)

Will I see, “Snow White and the Huntsmen”???

I don’t think I’ll see this movie in theater. It can wait for DVD rental. The film looks kind of interesting but I’m pretty skeptical of it at the same time. I don’t like how Hollywood try to give their own take on a classic Disney story. Also, I can’t stand Kristen Stewart. I LOVE Charlize Theron, but not Kristen Stewart. I won’t see “Men In Black III” or, “The Huntsmen” in theater.

I still have plans in seeing Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus”, that’s the film that I look most forward to. I plan to see “Prometheus” sometime next week, probably on Monday.

Edit to add: Now that you think of it, Charlize Theron has two different movies out at the same time, she’s in “Prometheus” too. I’ll get to enjoy my Charlize Theron in “Prometheus” even if I won’t see her in “The Huntsmen”.

Report: Wow, look like George Lucas isn’t lying about retiring…does this mean no Indy 5 after all???

Earlier this week, George Lucas, (the man responsible for bringing us, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and um, quack, Howard the Duck) he told Empire magazine that he is done with blockbuster movies. He’s retiring, says he’s serious about it and wants to make experimental movies. Well, turns out that he isn’t lying and meant what he said!

George just hired producer, Kathleen Kennedy, to be in charge of Lucasfilm, so she can take over as soon as he leaves.

More on the story, here.

For the past year or so, George and Steve Spielberg have been talking about doing a fifth “Indiana Jones” film. Steve said he’ll do it whenever George is ready. So what’s the status going to be on “Indy 5”? Will George pass the torch for the creative writing for someone else or will George scrap Indiana Jones for good? It’s obvious that George is in charge of the Indiana Jones franchise. He’s the one that put it together. George was in charge of the writing process for Indy, Steve just directed them.

I can understand why George wants to hang it up. The guy’s a fuckin’ billionaire, dude, he’s loaded. Made so much money from the Star Wars films and Indiana Jones movies. He can do what he wants to do now. It’s not yet known what they’re planning to do with the next planned Indy movie, but it’ll be interesting to see what they’re going to do with it. Hope they do something before Harrison gets too old.

If George does end up passing the torch of the Indy franchise to someone else, I won’t be heartbroken about it. The Indy movies needs a better writing team anyway. Hey, I enjoyed, Indy IV, “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”, but it had a lot of problems with the writing. I’m sure the next Indiana Jones films would do fine with a better writer and better producer behind it. As I said, I liked Indy IV, just get rid of Shia Labeouf and the stupid fridge explosion scene, then the movie would have been fine.

I hope they will still make another Indy film ’cause the series deserves a good closure.

Happy 86th Birthday Marilyn Monroe

This post is about celebrating the career of Marilyn Monroe, the legendary actress and singer. I’m proud to be a fan of her films, as I’ve watched too many of them and still plenty of more to go. While I’ve watched a lot of her films already, I still say that “The Seven Year Itch”, “Gentlemen Prefers Blondes” and “Niagara” are my favorites.

Thanks Marilyn for the inspiration. It was quite a ride, watching her films. I still haven’t seen, “Prince and the Showgirl” yet, but looking into checking it out soon. Enjoy the videos below.

Brock was completely blown away by “Hatfields & McCoys” on the History Channel, a brief non spoiler review…

Tonight, I just finished watching all of “Hatfields & McCoys” on the DVR. I DVR’d them, ’cause I almost forgot this series was on this week, so recorded the reruns. Plus, I think it’s better watching stuff on the DVR to fast forward the annoying commercials. This mini series marks the comeback of actor, Kevin Costner. As most of you know, Costner took a long break from acting. He took a few years off, to focus on his music career with his band, Modern West. It’s no secret Costner is a huge fan of Western, ’cause he had starred in many Western films himself with films such as “Dances with Wolves”, “Wyatt Earp”, “Open Range” etc. Bill Paxton also may have starred in a few Western films as he can be seen in the movie, “Tombstone”. So both actors obviously already, have experience playing in Westerns.

Finally, Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton team up for a Western for the History Channel, “Hatfields & McCoys”, based on real life and true events. I’m going to keep this review short and brief without any spoilers, ’cause I know a lot of people out there still haven’t watched it yet, I can still give a brief synopsis though. It tells the story of two men who used to be best friends, Anse Hatfield (Costner) and Randal McCoy (Paxton), they were best friends up until the Civil War was over with. After the war, they return home to go back to living their lives. The feud between the Hatfield and McCoy families began with increasing tensions, misunderstandings, and resentments.

As soon as I started watching, I was immediately hooked. The show was pretty addicting, and wish the movie could be a lot longer! It should have been a good 5 part mini series. Costner and Paxton still has it with the acting. Those guys were phenomenal, Costner was a badass in that role. I think this was Costner’s best Western role. The movie felt like a true Western. It was pretty serious. It was a pretty realistic Western too. It had a lot of action and it was pretty violent.

After watching this mini series makes me want to research the history of the Hatfield & McCoy feud. I’m sure there are plenty of books written about this famous feud, so I’ll have to find one to read. I’ll start looking through the Ibooks store for the Ipad.

Back to the show, it was pretty intense and powerful stuff! I can see why this was the highest rated TV show ever, it broke world records in the ratings. It also shows that people are still interested in Western and Cowboys. After the success of “Hatfields & McCoys”, they should keep the Western genre going. The Western genre doesn’t get much respect by the Entertainment Industry because they’re afraid that people don’t care about it anymore. Well, we still do care about the Western genre. It’s cool stuff.

I think the History channel should do a mini series on the Billy the Kid story next. A more true and more accurate story on, Billy The Kid. Not the fake stuff from the, “Young Guns” movies. “Hatfields & McCoys” was the best thing I’ve seen all year. I wouldn’t be surprised if this Mini Series would win a lot of awards ’cause it could.
