“A Star Is Born” soundtrack… it’s the best movie soundtrack I’ve heard in a long time! WOW!

So today while I was doing arm day at the gym, I finally gotten around to listening to “A Star Is Born” soundtrack. The movie soundtrack in which Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga both sang on for the hit film that is out in theaters now. The soundtrack has been number one on the Billboard for a couple of weeks now and I can see why.

I listened to the whole thing from start to finish and I LOVE absolutely LOVE every fucking song on it! You see, the soundtrack doesn’t just stick to one genre. It has something for everyone on it: rock n’ roll, country, pop, piano ballads, acoustic music, etc. I thought the songwriting was very impressive. I was also blown away by the vocals of Brad and Gaga… they both sung very good on it. I really think both of them should collaborate on a studio album sometime in the future and it would be really cool if they did. Would Bradley Cooper start his music career like a lot of movie stars are doing? Who knows. Anything is possible.

Get the album here, on Itunes or listen to it on Spotify:

Before you listen to the soundtrack, you should watch the film first, though.

You see, I rarely buy movie soundtracks. There are only very few good ones out there like “The Crow” in 1994 the Brandon Lee action movie, I think that’s one of the best movie soundtracks put together. Some other favorite soundtracks of mine are: “Terminator 2: Judgement Day”, “Bram Stoker’s Dracula” and “The Last of the Mohicans”… those are just musical score soundtracks, though.

Now you can add “A Star Is Born” to my favorite movie soundtracks list. I think I’m definitely going to be listening to this one a lot. My support for Lady Gaga has been on and off for a while. Not over politics but over music. My support for Gaga is back on again. She really is an amazing artist and she really is talented musically. She’s a real musician. She’s not like all the fakes out there. I’ve bought Gaga’s first three albums: “The Fame”, “The Fame Monster” and “Born This Way” but I stopped buying her records after that. I’m going to have to get her albums: “Art Pop” and “Joanne” pretty soon which I haven’t heard yet.

Lady Gaga is an amazing artist and now she’s moving on to acting it looks like. I was impressed with her acting in this movie too. Looks like she’s got some awards coming for this movie.

Oh yeah! Sylvester Stallone is finally bringing the “Hunter” novel to the big screen. It’s about freakin’ time!!!!

Initially, Sly wanted the plot for Rambo 5 to be about Rambo battling an inhuman beast in the Arctic but he scrapped that idea and now I guess, Sly is going for the Rambo rescuing the missing daughter from the drug cartel in Mexico plot instead. The scrapped Rambo plot isn’t being thrown out totally, though as Sly Stallone still has plans to finally bring “Hunter” novel to the big screen. Stallone purchased the rights to the book in 2009… he always wanted to make the book into a movie but never got around to it until now. Looks like Stallone is finally moving forward with the ‘Hunter” big screen movie. Stallone will still be starring in the leading role in the “Hunter” film, he just won’t be playing Rambo in it. Stallone is probably gonna play the book’s leading character Nathaniel Hunter in it, that’s what it’s gonna look like to me.

https://movieweb.com/hunter-movie-sylvester-stallone-monster-sci-fi-thriller/

I’ve read the “Hunter” book and it’s fucking awesome. It would be an awesome movie if made right. Will Sly direct the movie himself? It’s not yet known but we’ll have to wait and see. When I read the book, it totally reminded me of Rambo. Why did Sly scrap the idea of Rambo battling the beast? He thought it would be pretty silly?

So the “Hunter” movie is gonna be Sly’s next film after “Rambo: Last Blood”??? That’s what it’s looking like to me.

When is “Expendables 4” gonna happen or is there ever gonna be one? It’s been green lighted earlier this year so looks like it’s still on. They better make EX4 soon ’cause Sly is getting older.

“Rambo: Last Blood” begins casting… they find the film’s leading villain and leading actress too…

“Rambo: Last Blood” has already started filming with just Sly being the only cast member so far and they just signed two actors for the film. They just added Paz Vega who is playing journalist, Carmen Delgado and they also signed Sergio Peris-Mencheta who is the film’s leading villain.

https://movieweb.com/rambo-5-last-blood-cast-villain-sergio-peris-mencheta/

I would think Sergio being the main villain, he would be the leader of the Mexican cartel who Rambo will try to hunt down. I thought this film was going to be about a missing daughter but instead it’s looking like Rambo is going to help find Carmen’s half-sister. I bet Carmen will be Rambo’s love interest in this film too. It’s no surprise to see minor changes in the story ’cause Sly is always making changes in his scripts. Sly even continues to write the script even while filming the movie, that’s how he has always been. So expect even more changes to the story soon ’cause Sly is always changing things around.

Anyway, it makes sense to hire Spanish actors since most of the movie will be set in Mexico.

It may seem like that this movie is gonna be a Western but NOT all of it. Maybe the beginning of the movie, yes but I’m pretty positive we will see the tough guy Rambo we all want to see. Sly won’t disappoint us. I think we may get the violent Rambo once again… yes, big machine guns, big knives and maybe big helicopters. We’ll get it all… blood and gore, big fist fights, big and LOUD EXPLOSIONS. It’ll be the action movie we all want to see.

Kev

Rambo 5 gonna be more of a Western film instead of a war film? Kind of what it’s looking like…

It’s looking like the next Rambo film which will be the fifth installment is gonna be much different than the previous 4. The next Rambo is looking like to be more of a Western feel. From all the pics I’ve seen of Sly filming on set, looks like you’re about to say goodbye to big machine guns and you’re not going to see Rambo flying in giant helicopters like in the earlier films.

What’s Rambo’s weapons of choice are going to be for the next film? If you look at the background in this picture look what’s hanging on the walls. I see some rifles hanging on the walls so you might see Rambo using those instead of machine guns.

You can also see a knife in Rambo’s hand in which he looks like he was sharpening. Is that Rambo’s new knife? Hmmmm….

This is already looking pretty interesting. Also if you look very closely on this picture, you can see Rambo’s bowie knife hanging on the wall next to the rifles. Was that the old Rambo bowie knife that he used in “Rambo: First Blood”?

Saw the movie “A Star Is Born” yesterday afternoon, best movie I’ve seen all year!!!

43431431_10155913256108131_2523372747589943296_n.jpg

Yesterday afternoon, I went to the Criterion Cinemas in downtown Saratoga Springs for the movies. I just saw “A Star Is Born”, a film that stars Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. The film was also directed by Bradley Cooper as this film makes his directorial debut. Brad never directed a film before until now. I thought he did a great job with the directing of this film ’cause it was very well directed surprisingly. Not bad for an actor who directed his first movie and starred in it at the same time. How did Brad get so good at directing even though he didn’t have much directing experience? Well, I would think after years of acting in movies and TV shows, he knew how to direct films just by watching how other directors do it over the years. Brad did a good job at both acting and directing in this film. His role as Jackson Maine, a famous  fictional rock star was entertaining as hell… kind of reminded me of the Dude in “The Big Lebowski” a little bit.

Lady Gaga did a great job in her first major leading role too. I was impressed by her really and admittedly, I was kind of skeptical of her acting skills a little bit but she blew me away. Admittedly, I was losing interest in Lady Gaga lately but now I’m a huge fan again and now my respect for her is immense after this film. I definitely think she’s going to win an Oscar for Best Actress in this film for sure. At first, I was buying Lady Gaga’s music ’cause I bought “The Fame”, “Born This Way” and “The Fame Monster” albums. I haven’t gotten “Art Pop” and “Joanne” yet but I think I’m going to soon. I’m also going to get the soundtrack to this movie ’cause after this film, I can’t get some of these songs out of my head now.

This film was perfect overall. Well acted by the entire cast, well directed, well written and well filmed. No complaints at all. Sam Elliot played a great performance as he always kills it in everything he does. Andrew Dice Clay was cool too.

The music throughout the film was great, though. Yes, all the music in the movie was really sung by Brad Cooper and Lady Gaga. It was all live singing I’ve read. Brad Cooper was never a musician until this film. I’ve read that Lady Gaga made him a musician for this film. Brad is a great singer and if he ever released his own music album someday, I would totally get it, haha.

Anyway, I thought the movie was beautiful. I was floored when the movie got over with and never felt like that before. I’m definitely getting the bluray when it comes out. I do think this film is gonna help boost Lady Gaga’s acting career. She’s definitely going to get bigger roles after this one and I’m sure she’s already getting a lot of offers. After this film, I now love Lady Gaga more than ever. She really is a talented music artist no matter what you think of her.

This film was originally supposed to be directed by Clint Eastwood and star Beyonce but Clint couldn’t do it anymore since Beyonce got pregnant so WB’s got Brad Cooper and Lady Gaga to take over. Imagine if Clint and Beyonce did this film instead? The film would have been different and not as good.

For those of you who aren’t sure of this film, you should give this film a shot. This is one of the best fictional music films. So far, this is the best film of 2018.

Clint Eastwood’s “The Mule” trailer is out and the film looks freakin’ amazing!

Clint Eastwood is once again starring in the leading role of a film he directed. The last time he directed and starred in his own movie was “Gran Torino” released in 2008. Here is Clint’s new movie called, “The Mule” which he directed and starred once again. The film also stars Bradley Cooper. Brad Cooper starred in a Clint Eastwood directed film called “American Sniper” but didn’t star with Clint in that one. This time Brad gets the opportunity to star in a movie with Clint. It’s nice to finally see Brad and Clint onscreen together.

From the looks of the trailer, I think the film looks AMAZING as I got goosebumps watching it. This is no surprise ’cause Clint Eastwood always directed great movies. I try to watch all Clint Eastwood directed films with the exception of “Hereafter”, “Invictus” and “Jersey Boys” which I haven’t seen.

Keep in mind that Clint is 88 years old and he still doesn’t believe in retirement it looks like. Clint agreed to star in “The Mule” ’cause it fits the story. The story is about a 90 year old man delivering cocaine for a Mexican drug cartel.

I think the film looks great and definitely going to see this one in December. Looks like there are some pretty good movies coming out for the rest of the year. Other movies I want to see this year are: “A Star Is Born”, the new “Halloween”, “The Girl In the Spider’s Web”, “Creed II” and “The Mule”. I’m going to try to see all those.

Sly Stallone says Rambo 5 starts filming right away tonight… he just posted a pic while on set…

At the end of the 4th Rambo film which was released in the year 2008, Rambo was seen walking in the streets in the state of Arizona and the film ends with Rambo looking at a mailbox in front of a farmhouse that says, R. Rambo. So is the next Rambo going to be a continuation of the fourth one? That’s what it’s looking like. Rambo’s father lives on a farm and here you see Sly getting prepared for filming of the next Rambo film.

Looks like Sly is giving Rambo a new look. Looks like Rambo is gonna have a haircut in the next one and it looks like he turned into a farmer and living on his father’s farm. That’s how the next Rambo is gonna start. After a nasty battle in Burma, Rambo becomes a farmer.

So Rambo becomes a cowboy and horseback rider? That’s what it’s looking like to me. Rambo thought he was done fighting the bad guys for good and so he becomes a farmer for some peace for himself then someone tries to talk him into going on another mission… find someone’s missing daughter. In the next Rambo film, I’m sure Rambo’s going to refuse to do that mission at first but then he realizes he has no choice. Rambo goes to the Mexican border to hunt down all the sex traffickers and try to rescue her.

Oh man, I really hope this film is gonna be very violent. I’m sure the big knife will come back, I’m sure Rambo will be shooting huge machine guns again and possibly flying helicopters again. We WILL get the badass Rambo like he was in the first four films, trust me. They won’t disappoint us. I’m sure they’ll make it a great action film. I really did like Rambo 4 a lot and hoping this will be even better. I’m sure it will be. Sly knows how to make a great action movie for sure.

Mel Gibson set to direct and co-write “The Wild Bunch” remake… will Mel star in the film as well???

Well this is interesting. Warner Bros. has got “The Wild Bunch” remake in the works and they just signed Mel Gibson to direct and co-write the film. The question is will Mel star in the film as well? That is not yet known but I’m sure we’ll know pretty soon. Who’s gonna play the leading character of the film, Pike Bishop? I think none other than Mel Gibson himself should play that character ’cause Pike does remind me of Mel. The Pike role would fit Mel perfectly so don’t be surprised if Mel does decide to take on the role. Mel did direct and star in two films in the past which were “The Man Without a Face” and “Braveheart” (both excellent movies, by the way). Mel directed “Passion of the Christ”, “Apocalypto” and “Hacksaw Ridge” but didn’t star in those movies.

Currently Mel is at work on “The Passion” sequel and he’s going to get right to work on “The Wild Bunch” after that.

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/mel-gibson-direct-write-wild-bunch-remake-1146622?utm_source=twitter&utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral

If Mel decides not to star in “The Wild Bunch” remake at all then I’m sure he’ll get someone else to play Pike and it will be interesting to see who he’s going to choose.

I’ve seen “The Wild Bunch” movie like once and it’s definitely one of the greatest Western films in the history of cinema. It was probably the most violent Western movie I’ve ever seen and Mel’s version would probably be even more violent. You know how violent and dark Mel Gibson directed movies can be.

Since “The Wild Bunch” remake is by Warner Bros., I am predicting we have a huge hit in our hands here. People will pack up the theaters for this one for sure, I bet. I’m sure Mel will choose a great cast for the other Wild Bunch gang members too.

I don’t like Hollywood remaking classics but I’m actually all for this one and I’m sure Mel can pull it off nicely. Mel seems to be a huge fan of Western stories so I’m sure he’ll do a good job. Remember, Mel starred in a Western movie once… remember the movie, “Maverick” released in 1994?

Kevin Smith weighs in on DC/Warner Bros. no longer making Superman movies to concentrate on other superhero films… he says it’s a mistake and I agree…

Kevin Smith weighs in on his thoughts about DC/Warner Bros. no longer making Superman films to concentrate on other superhero flicks which sparked the rumor that Henry Cavill maybe hanging up the cape for good.

Kevin says what DC Films are doing is a huge mistake. Why? It’s because Superman is the king of all superheroes. Superman was the first superhero ever created… he paved the way for many other superheroes to be created. He also says we’re in an era of comic book movies and he feels Superman shouldn’t be ignored.

Kevin Smith Thinks DC Films Not Making Superman Movies Are A Mistake

I agree with everything he said. Without Superman, we wouldn’t have gotten other DC Superheroes such as Supergirl, Batman, The Flash, Wonderwoman, The Green Lantern, Aquaman, Thor, etc. Marvel comics happened ’cause of Superman too, admit it right? The Superman character popularized comics… that’s a fact.

The Superman character is so famous and legendary, the character shouldn’t be ignored at all. The character’s legacy needs to be kept alive forever so for DC Films/Warner Bros. to neglect Superman for other superhero films is a freakin’ joke.

Superman was a character that was loved by people of all ages. I loved the character ever since I was a child and still love the character now. I was a Superman fanatic all my life. When I was a child, I was obsessed with the Christopher Reeve Superman flicks and still love those movies. When I was a child, I used to watch the George Reeves Superman TV show and used to watch all the Superman cartoons. Of course, I used to read Superman comics when I was a kid too and I just gotten back into reading Superman comics. I just love the character.

Whether or not Henry Cavill is still on for Superman, DC Films still needs to make Superman films either way. Just have a different Superman actor for all I care, just keep making Superman movies. Sure the Henry Cavill Superman films got mixed reviews but they were all still huge money makers. If Henry is out as Superman then just do another reboot… anything. Just don’t ignore Superman, period.

Superman is an important character for all of us and always will be.

Warner Bros. teases “Joker” spin-off with Joaquin Phoenix starring as the Joker and it’s looking freaking awesome already!

First look of Warner Bros./DC’s of the Joker’s first solo movie is here. It shows Joaquin Phoenix without the Joker make-up and with the full make-up on. I’m already very impressed with it and now find this very intriguing!

They don’t show you what Joker’s laugh sounds like yet but I’m sure they will show us pretty soon. Will Joaquin’s Joker laugh be better than Mark Hamill’s? We’ll have to wait and see. I’m sure we’ll hear the new Joker laugh when the teaser trailer comes out.

So Joaquin Phoenix gets officially added to the list of other actors playing the Joker in live action films/TV: Cesar Romero, Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger, Jared Leto, Cameron Monaghan and now Joaquin Phoenix is the latest Joker actor.

Who do I think played the best Joker? Well to me it’s a tie between Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson, of course. They were the best. Can Phoenix top ’em? We’ll have to wait and see the movie and see for ourselves.
