Uh oh, I see a Looney Tunes vs. Mortal Kombat game coming soon? Sub-Zero vs. Bugs Bunny? Scorpion vs. Yosemite Sam? Daffy Duck vs. Raiden? Tasmanian Devil vs. Johnny Cage?

Sounds better than “Mortal Kombat vs. DC Comics” to me!

Report: Dan Aykroyd says, “Ghostbusters III” could start filming this year, but who will direct?

Dan Aykroyd, confirms the news that “Ghostbusters III” could start filming this winter. They tried to get Ivan Reitman to direct the 3rd film but he’s too busy producing other films. They said if Ivan turns down the opportunity to direct a third film, Harold Ramis, says he is game to directing the third film himself.

Bill Murray once gave the idea that he would like to see females become Ghostbusters in the new one, look like they are agreeing with Bill’s idea. Dan Aykroyd says he wants Alyssa Milano and Eliza Dushku to be the new female ghostbusting ass kickers.

I am loving the idea of hot babes being Ghostbusters!!! Great choices on Alyzza and Eliza. They haven’t been casted yet, they were just ideas thrown in by Dan Aykroyd, so hopefully these two gorgeous ladies will get confirmed for the film.

Who will be the new young male Ghostbusters? As long as they don’t get Robert Pattison, Chace Crawford, Shia Labeouf or Zac Efron, I’m happy.

I think they should go for Chris Pine from “Star Trek” and Seth Rogen maybe? Since “Ghostbusters” films are comedy too, Seth Rogen would be a perfect choice for a Ghostbuster to bring humor into it. Seth is not that old, he’s about 27 or something like that?

Glad that G3 is still moving forward.

Report: Chace Crawford set to star in Paramount’s “Footloose” remake…

“Gossip Girl” star Chace Crawford has signed on to star in the Paramount Pictures remake of “Footloose”. “Footloose” is a 1984 teen film that originally starred Kevin Bacon. This was the film that turned Kevin Bacon into a big name star and started to rise into fame.

Paramount’s goal with this one is they want a more mature and edgier version than the original. Filming of the “Footloose” remake is scheduled to begin in March. The film is being directed by Kenny Ortega.

Zac Efron was originally attached to star in the remake as Ren McCormack, but he turned it down due to doing “High School the Musical 3”  and the “Charlie St. Cloud” film instead.

I haven’t seen the original in a longtime but I actually like the idea of a darker and edgier version, instead of making it a tweeny film. I think Paramount is aiming for everyone to see this, not just tweens.

Will we get a Kevin Bacon cameo in the remake? It’s possible.

Thought: Brock thinks Denzel Washington must get the role of Martin Luther King Jr…

Spielberg’s “Dreamworks” picks up the rights for the Martin Luther King Jr. biopic.

I think MLK JR. should be played by no one other than the great Denzel Washington. With the fantastic acting chops that Denzel has, he could nail the MLK JR. role easily with no problem.

If they get Will Smith or Eddie Murphy, I’m not going to be interested. They need Denzel for this role.

As for who to direct this movie? It probably won’t be Spielberg, but I’m thinking they’ll probably get Spike Lee for this knowing how he did the work for “Malcolm X” which also starred Denzel. How cool would that be? Denzel and Spike Lee re-teaming for “MLK JR” biopic? I’d say bring it on!

Thought: Other than William Shatner… will other “Trek” cast mates appear in the upcoming sequels???

There are talks of William Shatner returning to “Star Trek” sequel by JJ Abrams. What about the other original cast mates appearing in the next movie? Do you think it’s possible if they can bring back George Takei as the original Sulu, James Doohan as Scotty, Walter Koenig as Chekov and Nichelle Nichols as the original Uhura to make cameos in the next one too?

Will they even somehow throw in Captain Picard if Patrick Stewart agrees to make a Star Trek return?

It’s funny how everyone wants Kirk and Spock back into the new movies when they forget the other cast mates. I’m sure JJ will somehow write in a cameo spot for other Star Trek actors.

Kirstie Alley made a cameo in JJ’s “Star Trek”, as you may or may not know, Kirstie Alley played one of the leading characters, Lt. Saavik in “Star Trek II, III, and IV”.

Report: Bradley Cooper to play Faceman Peck in “A-Team” movie?

Woah! Now what a perfect choice for Faceman Peck? HELL YEAH! I’d say get him! Bradley Cooper is dead on with the Faceman looks! Amazing!!!! Lets hope Twentieth Century Fox confirms the news that Bradley is in!!!

Glad that FOX finally started casting for the “A-Team” movie.

MTV Movies Blog reports:

I don’t agree with Kurt Russell as Hannibal though. Stupid MTV.

Take a look at Hannibal’s picture from the series:

Take a good look at his face and see what celebrity actor reminds you of? It don’t have to be the same hair color ’cause Hollywood can always change an actor’s hair color to the same as Hannibal’s. The actor has to match his face.

I think the perfect candidate for Hannibal is ….

*drum roll please*

Dennis Quaid…

Perfect teeth, the smile is kind of similar… Dennis would look great in that white hair and big cigar in his mouth. He’s my pick.

Report: John Woo’s “Red Cliff” to be released in U.S.A. theaters in the Fall…

This was bound to happen sometime. John Woo’s Chinese epic two part film, “Red Cliff” will be getting a theaterical release in the U.S. sometime in the fall. While the Chinese version was split into two different parts, the U.S. version will be one whole film. The U.S. version will be 150 minutes long which means they will have to edit a lot of scenes out.

Great news. I’ve been wanting to see this, it sounds like an interesting film. It’ll probably be only playing in selected theatres in the U.S. not nationwide, so hopefully I’ll get to see this. The film looks very interesting…
