Thought: Top Ten Favorite Adam Sandler films…

In light of Adam Sandler’s new movie “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan” comes out tomorrow, I plan to see it if I can, because I am a huge Adam Sandler fan, always had been and wanted to post my favorites of his career.

Here they are:

  1. Punch Drunk Love – In this film, Sandler decides to take a break from comedy and do a dark film for once. I think this is his best film and shows his true acting talent. A serious side of Adam Sandler. You don’t see the funny man in him in this one, plus this movie has a unique story to tell.
  2. Happy Gilmore – The classic fight scene with Bob Barker is what did it. The price is wrong, BITCH!
  3. Anger Management – Sandler once again pulls off good acting skills in this flick. It’s one of his better new comedies in a long time. Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler playing in the same flick together is just pure gold!
  4. Billy Madison – A crazy film about a man who still acts like a kid and experiences elementary school all over again. A cool movie with funny laughs.
  5. The Waterboy – Another one of his funniest comedies ever made. Especially Kathy Bates character in this flick.
  6. 50 First Dates – I don’t care for romantic comedies too much but this one is actually a real good one. I think this is Adam and Drew’s best collaboration.
  7. The Longest Yard – This movie was a remake from the original starring Burt Reynolds but I really liked this one, it was great seeing Burt Reynolds and Adam play together. There’s some hilarious scenes in this one too.
  8. Little Nicky – It’s been said that this is one of Adam’s worst movies but I like this one and would say this one’s a guilty pleasure. You’ll have to admit there are hilarious scenes in this flick, especially the cameos of Rodney Dangerfield and Ozzy.
  9. Airheads – He didn’t play the leading role in this flick, just a supporting star, but still he played a good character in this. I’ve always liked this film.
  10. Bulletproof – An action/comedy movie starring Adam and Damon Wayans. I’ve seen this film too many times.

Thought: Ok Mr. Stallone, pick your next movie already!!!!

I can know for sure that all the Stallone fans like myself are going crazy that he hasn’t picked his next movie yet! It could be very possible that Sly is preparing for “Inglorious Bastards” the next Quentin Tarantino flick that he plans to shoot next very soon. Could this be why Quentin finally decided to start the project because Sylvester is now done promoting Rambo overseas? Could it be that Quentin has been waiting for Sly?

Sly has been tight lipped about confirming his next movie for a long while. He has talked about remaking “Deathwish” and doing “POE”, he has been signed to do a two action picture deal with Nu Image/Millenium which those two films hasn’t been announced yet, and now the rumoured “Inglorious Bastards”.

The die hard Stallone fanatics like me just can’t wait to see what his next movie is going to be! He did a great job with the comeback of “Rocky” and “Rambo”. Now it’s time to move on to something new and different. Come on Sly! PIck your next film! The more Sly Stallone, the better! The man deserves a huge comeback and he got it!

Report: Brian De Palma to helm “The Boston Stranglers”…

Legendary film maker Brian De Palma is set to direct “The Boston Stranglers”, a film based on real life events which is about a serial killer raping and murdering several women, mostly women in their 50’s and up. Everyone of those murders were raped and strangled. It happened in Boston, Mass in the 1960’s. While it was rumuored the murders were aimed at a man named Albert Desalvo who they accused of, the murders were not committed by one person.

Brian Depalma had directed other films such as the iconic “Scarface”, “Stephen King’s Carrie”, “The Untouchables”, “Femme Fatale”, “The Black Dahlia” and others.

Depalma is famed and known for using multiple split screens in his films. He has inspired other film makers to do the same ever since.

I really liked his movie “The Black Dahlia”, so he will do a good job with this one too. I wonder who Depalma is going to pick for Desalvo? Depalma is best at doing dark films.

Report: Guy Ritchie (Madonna’s hubby) bringing Sherlock Holmes to the big screen…

Warner Bros. has announced that Madonna’s film maker husband, Guy Ritchie is signed to reinvent Sherlock Holmes to the big screen. Sherlock Holmes is a legendary classic character based on the novels created and written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The novels created huge popularity emerging into TV shows, movies, comics, etc. Sherlock Holmes the character had other talents besides fighting crime as a detective, he was also a boxer and he enjoyed swordfighting so expect to see all that in the film as well.

Dark Horizons reports:

It’s great to see Guy Ritchie finally working on a decent film this time. I enjoyed his work with “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” and “Snatch”.

I think he’ll make a great “Sherlock Holmes” movie.

It’ll be interesting to see who he’s gonna get for Sherlock, hope Ritchie picks the right actor.

Report: Well, look like I won’t be seeing “Beverly Hills Cop 4” because typical Brett Ratner wants it kids oriented…

When Brett Ratner announced he is directing “Beverly Hills Cop 4”, it got me worried that he is going to make the film similar to the “Rush Hour” series. It turns out he is doing just that. Ratner explains he wants “Beverly Hills Cop 4” to be more kids oriented with no profanity and violence with no blood. Think it would be rated PG-13? NOPE! Ratner plans to rate it even lower to PG! BOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

And STUPID, STUPID, STUPID MTV !!!! NONE OF THE RAMBO FILMS WERE FOR KIDS! All 4 Rambo films were rated R, full of hardcore violence and swearing! No way Rambo is for kids! Why did MTV list Rambo!

Look like Die Hard 4 is inspiring iconic action sequels to be PG-13 so expect other action movies to follow suit.

MTV Movies Blog reports:

http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2008/06/03/beverly-hills-cop-4-may-be-geared-towards-kids-says-brett-ratner/

I want to see Axel Foley swearing and cussing up a storm throughout the entire film like he did in the first three. That’s the way they are supposed to be.

“Beverly Hills Cop 4” will feel like the Police Academy films.

Like I’ll be waiting for DVD rental for “BHC 4”.

Report: Title and synopsis revealed for new “Masters of the Universe” live action film…

Screenwriter Justin Marks has just finished the script for the new upcoming He-Man live action movie, and it is titled “Grayskull: The Masters of the Universe”. The latinoreview website exclusively reviewed Justin Mark’s script for the new He-Man movie.

And this definitely sounds ten times much better than Dolph Lundgren’s version. With an expert He-Man fanboy like Justin Marks, he knows what a He-Man live action movie is supposed to be. In this review it was said that think of the new upcoming He-Man movie a mix of “Lord of the Rings”, “The Matrix” and “Batman: Begins” all in one. In the review it explains the script is just an introduction to He-Man and Skeletor. I’m also happy that the next He-Man movie will be on his home planet instead of Earth in our time.

Check out the review here, this is a very good read:

http://latinoreview.com/news/grayskull-masters-of-the-universe-script-review-4765

It sounds pretty fucking sweet to me! I’m pretty sure they won’t mess up the new He-Man movie and make it a success next time around after the mistakes Gary Goddard did with the Dolph Lundgren version.

If they can pick the right actors for He-Man, Man at Arms, Skeletor and Evil Lynn, it’ll be a fuckin’ sweet He-man movie.

BREAKING NEWS: Yoko loses lawsuit battle against use of “Imagine” for Ben Stein’s movie…

Oh my, it’s very rare that Yoko loses to a lawsuit battle out of all the millions of lawsuits she files over the years, but yep, this is one of the ones she loses after filing it herself with her sons Julian and Sean.

The judge says “no” to winning the rights because he proves the song “Imagine” being used for the film that it’s in the favor of a “fair use” doctrine. Which basically means, if the song is in use for criticism and commentary, it is not an infrigement of copyright.

More on it here:

There, take that Yoko, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool Video: The return of Wayne and Garth on the MTV Movie Awards!!!!

I didn’t watch the MTV movie awards but I heard that Mike Myers brought back Wayne and Garth. They are still funny and it looks like Mike Myers and Dana Carvey still can play the characters very well, and they are still pretty popular. Come on Mike!
