The more, “Walking Dead”, the merrier! I love it! 13 episodes this season! Season 2 premiere will be 90 minutes long on Oct. 16th on AMC. There will be six more after that, and AMC will air the second half of the season on Feb. 12th.

The Blues Brothers, first appeared in SNL as Elwood and Joliet Blues, played by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. In 1980, The Blues Brothers had their first major motion picture titled, “The Blues Brothers”, played by the same actors, which is one of my favorite films of all times, by the way. After John Belushi’s death, Dan Aykroyd kept the Blues Brothers going by performing live in concerts. Then, the Blues Brothers had their second movie titled, “Blues Brothers 2000” with John Goodman taking over as Elwood’s partner and band mate.
Dan Aykroyd is planning to resurrect, The Blues Brothers, after a long hiatus in the entertainment business, but it will be for a television show instead of a third film. Judy Belushi, who is John’s widow is writing the script. Aykroyd and his team are shopping for networks and studios who might be interesting in working on this project. The story is about Jake and Elwood being released from jail and they search for their long lost father.

Hmmmmm, judging by the show’s synopsis, sounds like it’s going to be taken place after the events of the first film. The first film ends with them being arrested and they perform in prison.
My question is, will Dan still play Elwood? Or will he pass the torch to a younger actor? We’ll know soon, I’m sure.
I love the Blues Brothers, especially the first movie, I love that film too much. I will buy that movie on Blu Ray sometime. It’s a classic.

Stephen Spielberg is already hard at work on two different TV shows, “Falling Skies”, and, “Terra Nova”. Spielberg is about to work on his third TV show in which he will team up with Stephen King on bringing his book, “Under the Dome” to the small screen. “Under the Dome” will be a TV series for the Showtime channel.

I’ve read the book. It’s very good. It’s way over a thousand pages long, but yep, I read the whole thing. It’s one of his best new books in a while. It’s strictly sci fi so, it’s no surprise that Spielberg would be all over it.
Yet, another reason to get Showtime. I will get the Showtime channel before Oct. 3rd ’cause of “Dexter – Season 6”.

Is the former, “Lost” star, Matthew Fox showing his true colors? He’s not the nice guy we all thought he was? Matthew was detained by police after being accused of getting into a fight with a female bus driver.

I’m not sure who’s side am I on for this one. I’m going to be keeping an eye on this news ’cause I am a huge fan of “Lost”. However, I’m not a big fan of his acting though. I was more into the other characters of “Lost”. I didn’t like Dr. Jack Shephard too much. My favorite characters of “Lost” were John Locke, Sayid, Sawyer, the character Michelle Rodriguez played and Danielle “The French Woman” but I never liked Jack.
I finished watching all six seasons of “Lost” a few months back.

Yes, I ended up watching MTV VMA’s tonight just for something to watch. The only three good things about tonight’s show was the Amy Winehouse tribute and they showed off “The Hunger Games” teaser trailer. I also liked how they showed clips of the new “Beavis & Butthead”. They were the plus!
The rest of it was just a disaster. I think Lady Gaga and Katy Perry takes the prize of worst fashion awards, what the hell were they up to? Katy Perry a block of cheese on top of her head and Lady Gaga dressed as John Travolta from “Greese” or the Fonz from “Happy Days”? Plus all the live performances were really bad too and they were all lip synching, of course.
Chris Brown was the wrong performer to pay tribute to Nirvana. The Foo Fighters should have been up there doing that.
I thought it was cool that Tony Bennett revealed a new Amy Winehouse song that those two recorded in the studio together before her death. A pregnant Beyonce performing was horrible too. Performing like that is not good for the baby, she shouldn’t have done it.
I don’t get why the music industry continues to award Chris Brown all the glory and fame when he is nothing but a woman beater. Why is he up there, when Rihanna should have been up there instead?
The VMA’s continue to get worse every year.

Well, Sesame Street confirmed the rumors that Bert & Ernie are not gay, and they don’t plan on turning them gay anytime soon.

I think it’s a stupid and silly idea to marry them anyway. Think about how it’s going to influence pre-school children to go gay when they get older. I think someone who came up with that petition is a stupid idiot, in my opinion.

NBC’s new upcoming show “The Playboy Club” will debut on TV sometime in Sept. I’m interested in seeing it and I will probably watch the first episode. The show is creating a lot of controversy in the news lately. Of course, all these activist groups are trying to get NBC to not air the show. The Parents Television Council wants it off the air, and so does Morality In Media. Gloria Steinem wants everyone to boycott the show just like her, she went undercover as a bunny for the real life Club.
Why is everyone going after NBC? Because this is Playboy we’re talking about here. I mean, it’s not like this show is going to have full nudity or anything. Nudity and porn is banned off NBC which is a family friendly TV station. Why did NBC allow the show to get aired later this Fall? Probably because the show is clean enough and not as dirty and sexual everyone thinks it is. Yes, the women will show legs and cleavage of course, but that’s about it. Nothing wrong with that, right? Plus, this is just a fictional soap opera even though it was inspired by the real thing.
Playboy gets attacked for everything they do because people wrongly think they are adult porn. Not really. They are an entertainment magazine for men. There is a big difference between nude modeling and porn. Think about it.
I think NBC deserves to air this show because us men need our soap opera fix, right? I mean, we get daytime soap operas for women during the day. How come these activist groups don’t attack the Daytime soap operas when there is plenty of sex in those? Oh that’s right, because they have nothing to do with fucking Playboy. “The Playboy Club” looks to be a show that is aimed for men only. I’m all for watching it and giving it a try. See what the show is like.

HBO’s “Game of Thrones – Season 2” has made another major casting. They found their Asha Greyjoy, and she will be played by a young actress named, Gemma Whelan who can be seen in “The Wolfman” and “Gulliver’s Travels” remakes. Asha Greyjoy is one of the important characters in “Clash of Kings” the second book. Asha doesn’t become a POV character until “Feast for Crows”.

I remember when I was a kid, all I would do when I get back home from school is watch videos on MTV the rest of the evening. MTV used to be nothing but music in the 80’s and early 90’s, but MTV is not music anymore. It’s nothing but garbage reality shows now so it’s hard to celebrate their 30 years, that I just don’t care. I used to LOVE MTV back in the old days but now I hate the station.
The only good thing about MTV today is that they’re bringing, Beavis & Butthead back, that’s the only reason I’ll start watching MTV again.
I miss old school MTV. I miss watching the 80’s hair metal and 90’s grunge eras. MTV still does play videos but mostly shit videos. I’ll celebrate the “history” of MTV, but I won’t celebrate how they are now.
If it weren’t for MTV, I would have never heard of Twisted Sister and Dire Straits because it was MTV that made those two bands for what they were.
