Report: Chris Sligh, an American Idol loser, writes really good blog to fellow Idols about music industry…

This guy, Chris Sligh, a former Idol, wrote the most intelligent blog about the music industry I’ve ever seen. I totally agree with him on everything, 100%.

Read his blog here:

http://frommymindtoyoureyes.blogspot.com/2009/09/to-idols-realistic-look-at-your-career.html

He’s just giving the Idols a reality check about them thinking they will be a star. Pretty intelligent writing.

I don’t play music ’cause I want fame and fortune, I just play music as a hobby and something I have as a passion. I just play guitar and sing songs just for the love of it, nothing more.

In local music, sorry to say but it’s true, even local musicians would have to get out of their delusions and face reality as well. Most musicians around the Capital District are doing it like if this was a popularity contest, most musicians around this area are obsessed with trying to be established and well known. Not worrying about local fame too much, and concentrating on your music mostly is what’s most important, the way I look at it.

There are too many bands and artists that are obsessed with doing radio interviews, articles with newspapers, etc. That stuff is nice but I never worried about any of that. I just cared about playing my guitar and singing.

Thought: About Kanye West losing his Mom…

When discussing the Kanye West MTV controversy on the internet with other people, and when I bring up this, “Kanye West hasn’t been the same person since he lost his Mom”…. some people will respond back… “So what, my mother died, he has no right to be an asshole”.

While that’s true that everybody loses a parent here and there (we’re all gonna go someday)… you try to make it sound like that people find a way to move forward quickly and to get over a death in the family…but not everybody. You see, every human being is different. Every human being has different emotions and feelings.

Not everybody moves on from a death in the family so quickly. You may think you can, but the other person who lost a parent may not think so.

John Travolta still hasn’t gotten over the death of his son, Jett, he is still hurting and sad over it, perfect example. The recent pictures of John proved it.

Liam Neeson may have moved forward and still working on film since the death of his wife, Natasha, but somewhere in his private times at home, I’m sure he’s still hurting over her.

When Kanye appeared on Jay Leno and Jay asked him about his Mom, that is good enough proof that Kanye still hasn’t gotten over his Mom yet. When Kanye went out and apologized about MTV thing like three times, do you think that he was still thinking about his Mom when he was doing that?

You have a death in the family, somebody so close to you, things become different and things change in life. Don’t go around thinking, “I can move on from it”, ’cause I think that’s a lie.

I think Kanye’s personal problems in the media lately has nothing to do with him not taking any time off, I think he’s still thinking about Donda, clearly.

I can’t blame Kanye for going crazy in the media lately, so I still respect the guy. I’m not a shrink or a family expert or nothing like that, but people who lose a loved one, deserved the respect. I think it’s the haters that have no compassion for Donda at all whatsoever. Kanye is fine, he did nothing wrong. Give the poor man respect while he’s going through some difficult times.

Cool Video: Susan Boyle is phenomenal…

I didn’t see the America’s Got Talent finale last night so I went on youtube looking for it. I didn’t like her the first time, didn’t think she was anything special. Now when I saw this performance, I had goosebumps and she floored me this time. She’s one of the best female singers in a long time. I think I’m definitely going to buy her album. There’s something about her voice that draws you in.

Fuck everything else in American Idol or America’s Got Talent, Susan Boyle’s the best thing to come around. I was blown away by this performance. Absolutely beautiful!

Report: Kanye vs. Taylor Swift segment helps VMA’s get 11 million viewers…

Just a little more evidence that the Kanye vs. Taylor segment could be scripted. That one part helped sky rocket the ratings to 11 million viewers. Pretty good ratings, I must say. The highest ratings of any MTV VMA award show in a while.

More on it here:

http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv/2009/09/15/2009-09-15_kanye_wests_onair_tirade_watched_by_11_million_viewers_on_mtv_ratings_are_up_fro.html

MTV hasn’t yet said publicily whether that segment was staged or scripted or whatever. They knew something like this would create controversy and to help get more viewers, so they went with this Kanye vs. Taylor thing.

It’s almost like a WWE kind of thing. Speaking of WWE, Kanye should be a RAW guest host for an episode. WWE would probably end up asking him after this. I’m sure of it.

BREAKING NEWS: Ellen Degeneres is now 4th judge of American Idol, taking over Paula Abdul…

Paula Abdul out, Ellen is in!

While Ellen is not a musician or a singer, she is a music lover and loves listening to music herself.

She broke the news herself exclusively on her talk show.

Not a bad replacement actually. I like Ellen, she’s nice, smart, and funny too. They obviously got her hoping to keep up the ratings. Ellen’s not an annoying loudmouth like Rosie O’ Donnell.

Thought: Chris Brown on Larry King tonight…

I just got done watching the Chris Brown interview on “Larry King Live” on CNN that was on earlier tonight, and man it was something else, I tell ya. All Chris was pretty much doing was trying to defend himself for it, trying to get people to feel sorry for him and forgive him, trying to prove that he isn’t the monster that people are trying to make him out to be.

Larry was getting onto him everytime, asking him tough questions that he couldn’t answer. When Larry showed him the Rihanna photo with her beaten up face that was from TMZ, Chris just looked down to the floor and then he started looking real nervous.

Throughout half of the interview, Chris looked upset and nervous as hell. Toward the end, he was all smiles and upbeat like he didn’t have a care about Rihanna.

He goes on talking about Michael Jackson, he said that Michael Jackson went through some negative times and went to positives, Chris claims he can do the same thing. Go back to his music career, after his tough times like Michael Jackson did.

Chris had a bit of an ego problem, he called himself a “celebrity” on the show.

Want to know my thoughts on Chris on the Larry King show? All I see it as, “save my music career please”. That’s it. That’s all he went on there for, hoping to save his dying music career.

Beaten a woman to a bloody mess is never a mistake. I’ll never respect and I’ll always despise men who hits a woman or beats her down like crazy. I hope fans of Chris Brown, those few little fans that still support his music, would get a reality check, by not buying his albums and seeing his concerts. The stupid kid doesn’t deserve a music career.

Chris is a man child suffering delusions of granduer. I laughed when he says that negativity makes you more popular. So he’s obviously striving off this publicity over this Rihanna stuff and enjoying it.

I wonder how much cash he payed the judge to avoid jail time? That’s where he should be, behind bars wearing an orange jumpsuit. I think he’ll beat up a woman soon, maybe not at Rihanna but maybe the next woman he hooks up a date with. Chris Brown needs to get his ass kicked by a bigger guy than him, show him how it feels to get punched in the face multiple times.

Actor and TV show host, LeVar Burton is out of work! First, “Star Trek: The Next Generation” has came to an end, which he is famously known for Geordi LaForge, the guy with the golden visor on his head…and now, PBS’s most famous show, “Reading Rainbow” is the next to get the boot. “Reading Rainbow” aired it’s final episode last Friday. The Associated Press:

LeVar Burton himself has not yet said what he will do next in his career. Whether he will host another TV show or do some acting work for TV drama or work for Hollywood film. I’m sure he’ll announce what he will do next soon.

I’ve always liked LeVar, he’s an interesting dude.

BREAKING NEWS: Ryan Jenkins found dead in alleged suicide…

What a shocking and sad story. I’ve been paying attention to and following it, I didn’t blog about this story yet ’cause I didn’t know how it was going to end.

The story of super model Jasmine Fiore getting brutally murdered by her husband, Ryan Jenkins, the former star of reality show, “Megan Wants to Be a Millionaire”. He fled to Canada and today he was found dead, hanged in a motel room.

More on the story here:

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2009/08/alleged-killer-of-model-found-dead-in-canada-sources-say.html

And it’s all over TMZ as well.

Murder suicides has risen, big time.

I think this is the most brutal and disturbing celebrity murder since the Chris Benoit case. Now that Ryan is dead, expect THIS TO BE all over TV the rest of the week.
