Report: What’s next for John Stamos after “ER”? Stamos is going back to theatre to star in a play called, “Bye Bye Birdie”…

John Stamos’s run with “ER” is just about over, the last episode airs tonight on NBC at 8 p.m. So you may ask, what’s next for John Stamos, after “ER”? He is set to star in a play titled, “Bye Bye Birdie”. Gina Gershon is also set to star.

Stamos will be playing a character originated by the Dick Van Dyke film of “Bye Bye Birdie” released in 1963. Stamos will get the opportunity to bring his famous Elvis like musical dream to the big stage.

Will Stamos get on a new TV show or will he get movie roles in the future? I don’t know. Here’s hoping he would. I hope he doesn’t stick with theatre but if that’s what he wants to do for a while, until he gets more work for TV or movies, that’s cool.

Confirmed: “Guiding Light” to be cancelled this year…Sept. 18th would be the show’s final episode…

It’s official. TV’s longest running daytime soap opera in history, “Guiding Light” is ending for good which is aired on CBS. The show has been on the air for 72 years and it’s last episode will be aired on Sept. 18th.

The ratings are the big reason why the show is getting plugged.

The soaps are dying, big time. I have a feeling “Days of Our Lives” will be next ’cause that show is in trouble with the ratings too.

Report: “Guiding Light”…another TV soap opera to be canned???

Soap Operas in day time TV are dying. First, “Passions”, got pulled off the air. “Guiding Light” could be next. CBS might pull the plug on “Guiding Light” due to bad ratings.

I don’t watch “Guiding Light”, only soap I watch is “Days of Our Lives”. If “Days” gets cancelled sooner or later, I won’t be so heartbroken about it, ’cause the storylines on “Days” has been pretty bad lately. “Days” used to be real good in the past, but the show has been a bit of a trainwreck lately.

I think that’s why people are losing interest in Soaps, and why they are dying because the storylines are so bad. It’s like Jerry Springer vs. WWE in all of them. 

If daytime soaps want to get successful and stay on the air, they need better writing and better acting with the cast.

The best news I’ve read all day!!! FNL fans! You don’t have to worry about “Friday Night Lights” getting cancelled, ’cause that won’t happen anytime soon, at least for now. The show has been renewed for Season 4 and 5 for a full 26 episodes!!!

Report: It’s Bill O’ Reilly vs. Sean Penn…Mr. Bill O’ boycotts actor…

Report: Friday Night Lights to get a season 4? Major announcement about that today!!!

Direct TV and NBC are in negotiations to reveal their decision on the show’s fate publicily sometime today. “Friday Night Lights”, was almost in danger of not renewing since the show came back for a Season 3 this year. The two companies would not reveal details yet until the annoucement is made today, sometime this afternoon or later this evening.

Don’t fret “FNL”  fanatics. Variety says the news of the show would be good, that fanatics like myself would be happy about. So it is possible that the show will have a two season 26 episode of the show’s future.

As some of you may know, I’m a huge fan of this show. It’s a wonderful show, I love it so much. It would be sad if the show only lasted a couple of seasons, I really hope this show goes on for a long time. This year’s season 3 is getting so good, I’m hooked to this show.

I’ll be looking out for the big announcement today, so look out for a breaking news report of the show in my blog.

Report: Bob Barker to come on down to the “Price Is Right” for one last show…

Bob Barker, the former host of the longest running game show, “The Price Is Right”, is making a one time only return to promote his new autobiography book, “Priceless Memories”. In 2007, Bob Barker retired from the show and comedian Drew Carey took over as host. Other than plugging in Bob’s new book, he will of course, host some of the games to the contestants to win prizes. Drew Carey will still participate along with him. This episode airs April 16th, so mark your calendars and set your DVR’s!!! This will sure be a ratings boost!

Report: Matt Lauer injured in bicycle accident…almost got hit by a deer…

Matt Lauer, the head anchor of “The Today Show”, was slightly injured while riding a bicycle in Long Island. A deer jumped out in front of him which caused Matt to do a flip off the bike and crash onto the ground. Matt had a separated shoulder, and scheduled to have surgery Monday. He was wearing a helmet, thank god.

I think the Natasha Richardson death is a wake up call that all should wear helmets when doing physical activities. Whether you’re skiing, bike riding, running, riding a motorcycle, etc. Think where Matt would have ended up if he didn’t wear a helmet. He would have been knocked out cold or worse, he could have died instantly too. So at least he wore a helmet.

Thought: “Late Night” with Jimmy Fallon so far…

I’ve been watching “Late Night” with Jimmy Fallon quite a lot, and I’m surprised, Jimmy is actually doing a great job. He’s entertaining. He has some great guests on the show that no other late night talk show would have. Jimmy also has musical guests on there that are not too well known as well. Plus, Jimmy having the Roots as his host band is really cool.

I still miss Conan O’ Brien, but Conan will be making his debut on “The Tonight Show” June 1st, so we will have to wait all the way to June 1st for the return of Conan on TV.

Jimmy is doing okay. He’s actually pretty funny and entertaining. I think Jimmy was hired for the job ’cause Lorne Michaels liked his work with SNL’s “Weekend Update”.

“Late Night” with Jimmy Fallon is not bad at all. I like the show.

Report: Sci Fi channel will now be changed to “Sy Fy” which to me is pretty stupid!

The Sci Fi channel will be getting a new name. NBC Universal will be changing the name to “Sy Fy”. The name change will be in effect sometime in July. The Sci Fi channel is a popular science fiction TV channel, that aired shows like Star Trek, The Twilight Zone, Dark Shadows, Battlestar Gallactica, etc. All kinds of sci fi/fantasy films. It’s even the home of WWE’s “ECW” on Wednesday nights.
