Get ready for Obamanet tomorrow…

The US Telecom Association tried to block the Net Neutrality rules but of course, they failed. The U.S. Court of Appeals rejects their request to block Obamanet. Thanks to the US Telecom for trying though. It seems like it’s tough to defeat anything against Obama these days.

Court Rejects Effort To Block FCC Net Neutrality Rules

I’m actually kind of nervous about Net Neutrality tomorrow and you should be too. You never know what it’s gonna be like so don’t assume anything.

If you think the government taking over the internet is a good idea, then you’re fucking delusional and an idiot. The internet should not be government controlled at all.

Youtube maybe 10 years old today but soon Facebook video will take it’s spotlight…

You know how that myspace is a thing of the past and is now dead and gone? Well the same thing is gonna happen to youtube. I’m noticing that youtube is getting less and less popular. More people are losing hope for youtube and I am too. It used to be a cool site to upload your homemade videos but I’m starting to lose interest which is pretty much the reason I slowed down on making youtube videos. Why? Too many ads and third party copyrights are bullshit. That’s pretty much the reasons people are turning away from youtube.

Each time I upload a video in facebook instead of youtube, I’m noticing that the video views are better there than youtube. Things go viral quickly in facebook than youtube these days. I am noticing that people don’t post videos from youtube in facebook anymore. Instead they upload videos to facebook itself.

I really am thinking about ditching youtube and just upload my videos to facebook from now on. Facebook video may only have a few features but give it time, though, folks. Mark Zuckerberg will make facebook video more like youtube but he will try to make it even better.

I used to love youtube in the old days but it sucks now. Thanks to google who bought youtube. I blame google for ruining youtube. Facebook video seems to be the way to go.

Monica Lewinsky’s TED Talk is very powerful and intense… worth a listen!

I just listened to Monica Lewinsky’s TEDTalk today and I’m blown away. Her speech is very powerful and intense. I listened to the whole thing. Ya know, she made a mistake years ago and after listening to her TEDTalk, I think it’s time to forgive and forget. She deserves it. This was a very brave and ballsy speech. She was honest throughout the whole thing.

So what, she sucked someone’s dick? What woman hasn’t done that? Big deal, ya know? That doesn’t make her a slut and all that stuff. People make mistakes, learn from them and they change for the better.

I do agree with her that cyberbullying and trolling has become a huge problem in this day and age of the internets. It continues to be even more of a bigger problem today.

I know what it’s like to become a victim of public humiliation on the internet ’cause I experienced that myself many times. I get cyberbullied and trolled by losers all the time and still do to this day. This is part of why I’m very strict on moderating in social networking, my blog, youtube, etc. It’s just my way of eliminating trolls and losers. I have no time for that crap. People actually thinks it’s okay to say what they want about me and I’m not gonna let ’em, ya know? I don’t let trolls and losers get me down. I even gotten bullied by the local music community too over the years but that’s okay.

You just gotta learn to ignore that stuff. Be tough and stay above ’em if you wanna survive. All I care about is my music, working out in the gym and doing my online stuff. Don’t have time for negativity and bullshit.

She does have a point that cyberbullying, public humiliation and online harassment has become a huge problem. I’ve been putting up with this stuff for the past decade or so. Why would people troll and attack others? In my opinion, they’re just losers who don’t have much going on in their lives. Successful people wouldn’t waste their time with this stuff. Haters are gonna hate.

Just ignore ’em and continue to be yourself. Fuck everyone. Can’t please everyone, ya know what I mean?

New wordpress editor interface is garbage… hope they get rid of it soon!!!

I hate the new wordpress editor interface they just changed today. I figured out how to still be able to use the old one by going directly to the dashboard, go to “posts” and click on “Add new” instead of going to the drop down menu.

The new editor sucks ’cause they have this message that comes up that says,”beep beep boop” which is real lame and fucking stupid. Who came up with that stupid idea??? I googled on this and most wordpress users aren’t happy with it either. The new editor sucks ’cause it takes a long time to load the posts and sometimes the posts disappear or doesn’t post fully. The new editor is all glitchy as hell and having all kinds of technical issues.

Yeah, I know it’s a new editor so they got a lot of repairing and troubleshooting to do.

I hope wordpress fixes the new editor ’cause if they don’t… people will leave wordpress and go somewhere else.

I’ll just keep using the previous editor. This sucks. I was liking wordpress too. I don’t wanna keep using the new editor ’cause I don’t wanna see that lame “beep beep boop” message. I know they did it as a joke but it’s just dumb.

I know a few of you guys have a wordpress blog. Try making a new post with the new editor and you’ll see what I mean. Like I said, to use the old editor just go directly to the dashboard, click on “posts” and “add” new in the dashboard instead of the “add new” in the upper right hand corner.

If they keep getting worse with upcoming changes… I’ll probably go somewhere else like blogger (or better known as, blogspot).

WordPress is getting a lot of complaints of the new editor design. Hopefully they do the right thing and get rid of it. Let us keep the old one.

Why Q&A sessions with famous people online is getting so big these days…

More and more often, you are starting to see celebrities do online “Q&A” sessions with their fanbase on the internet. Mostly through social networking like facebook, twitter, etc. Celebrities have just started doing Q&A sessions over at Reddit with their AMA (Ask me Anything) so that’s a new thing pretty much.

Some of you may ask why is this a big deal??? Is it a ploy for more attention and to boost their egos even more? Maybe a little bit but it’s more than that. A lot of celebrities do this stuff as an opportunity to promote their latest projects mostly. It helps promotes their latest film, TV show or music album or whatever. It helps hype their projects up and get a buzz going.

Plus, another reason is celebrities are humans like us and this is just their way of showing it. They like talking to people like us and they do this online Q&A stuff to show they have personality. These celebrities also love their fans and willing to take some time to interact with them online. Celebrities like movie stars, music stars, sports stars, etc. are always so busy with their life and careers so they don’t have the time to chat online with fans so they schedule a certain date for an online session.

I think it’s cool that famous people do these things ’cause I’ll admit, I have an addiction reading this stuff. Reading the celebs responses are really interesting.

I participated in Q&A sessions before and yes I’ve gotten responses by celebs before. I’ve gotten responses by Sly Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Bret The Hitman Hart, the Ultimate Warrior and maybe a few others.

It’s really hard to get an answer from a famous person online during a Q&A session. In order to get a response, you have to come up with something unique and make it interesting as possible. Don’t ask questions that celebs get asked repeatedly ’cause you won’t get a response. Celebs get thousands of questions from their fans so they only respond to the best questions. So in order to get a response from a famous person, write something that’ll grab their attention. Flattering them is pretty much key.

Celebs are human like the rest of us and they want to find some free time to chat with us.

I like reading Q&A sessions from movie stars mostly ’cause I love the Behind the Scenes goodies that they give us. Reading the movie stuff is a lot of fun. It’s amazing how honest and real these people can be, too.

Does facebook/twitter destroy relationships???

Another interesting “study says” that is worth posting here. A doctoral student named, Russell Clayton, made a discovery that the use of facebook/twitter can lead to cheating, breakups or divorce.

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tech/social/Twitter-Facebook-use-can-lead-to-infidelity-divorce-Study/articleshow/33455211.cms

Over the years of social networking, I have noticed this actually. I have seen couples in facebook break-up/divorce through heated conflicts online. It happens all the time. That’s the way it goes in this day and age of technology, ya know?

There is so much gossip and soap opera stuff in facebook with couples all the time. I get forced to read this stuff every day by people in facebook with their problems in relationships. You pretty much know everything going on in couples lives ’cause they’re posting it all on facebook/twitter. Sad but it is what it is.

I don’t get into stuff like that. All that stuff was meant to be for their personal business but they’re making it public by posting it all publicly in facebook.

Which is pretty scary, ya know? If I start getting into relationships with women myself, I have a feeling a lot of them aren’t gonna last long ’cause of my popularity as a blogger and internet person. If I ever start getting into relationships with women, that’s why I gotta try to keep ’em private as I possibly can but it’s gonna be hard to do ’cause people are gonna know everything. They figure things out quickly anyway.

I’m not gonna lie that women can be pretty egotistical and dramatic a lot. A lot of men have been destroyed online because of them. That is a small part of why me hoping to get into a relationship with a woman is pretty scary. That’s why I gotta be careful and be VERY picky with women. Just because women are pretty and gorgeous looking doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be a good person. That’s why I gotta take her personality very seriously. I would want a good looking woman, don’t get me wrong but I’m not gonna date her if she’s gonna be all difficult and tough. Looks doesn’t really matter to me. I just want a good woman who’ll accept me for me and like me for me. A woman like that could be hard to find in this day and age of technology.

Are trolls narcissistic, psychopathic, and sadistic??? I’d say yes they are!!!

I usually hate, “study says…” kind of stuff but this one is pretty good and actually, “factual”.

Trolls have always been a huge problem on the internet for years. Psychologists have found that people spend more time trolling on the internet than anything else. Trolling on blogs, forums, youtube, social networking, etc.

I agree that trolling has been a big problem. Always have been. I’ve had trolls attack me everywhere for years and I still get trolls. A lot of popular blogs out there usually have trolls attacking the blogger… like my own blog for example.

I have noticed that most of the trolling is usually done “anonymously”. Why? If they troll under their real names, it’ll show up on google and they could get in a lot of trouble from their family members, friends, etc. They do it to save their reputation. Usually when you see people online harassing bloggers, having nothing positive to say ever… chances are they are probably like that in person in the real world. That’s how they really are. If they are an asshole online… they are probably an asshole when you meet them in person.

This is why I’m very “strict” on moderating. I’m strict on moderating on my site, youtube, both facebooks, twitter, etc. I want nothing to do with trolls, haters or cyber bullies… whatever you wanna call ’em. Some mistakenly believe that trolling is mostly done by young people like in the teenage years to their 20’s. Not true. Trolling can be done by adults in their 30’s – 60’s even. The demographics of trolls varies.

I don’t need my internet world full of trolls so I eliminate all of them the best I can. The only way to defeat trolls is ignoring all of them. Don’t reply to any of them at all whatsoever and don’t care what any of them says about you. It’s not you, it’s them. When you put yourself out there on the internet whether it’s a blog or whatever, be ready for a lot of hateful trolls coming in. It doesn’t matter how sweet and nice of a person you are… you’re gonna get trolls.

Why do they do it? For a lot of reasons… ego, attention, blah blah blah, you get the deal. The internet would be a better place without trolls but there’s nothing you can do about it. That’s why moderating features are available for you so you can take care of ’em. Usually people who are trolls don’t have much of a life. They don’t have much going on. They’re either depressed or have bad things going on in their personal life.

They do it ’cause simply put they enjoy pissing you off. That’s the only reason they do it. They get a laugh out of it. They’re like kids in school, ya know? That’s how bullies act in school beating up kids who are weak. Same thing online. The internet is the trolls playground.

There is a way to be “TOUGH” over trolls and internet bullies… like I said above, ignoring them completely is the only way. It really works. If you don’t reply to any of them and act like they are dead… they WILL get bored and they will stop. The trolling gets worse even if you send one reply to them ’cause that’s what they want you to do. They’re hoping for a back and forth fight with you online.

If readers send me hateful, negative comments on here, I just ignore ’em and delete ’em. I don’t care what they say and don’t care if they don’t like it either. You can’t please everybody.

To other fellow wordpress bloggers, I thought I would post this article, here… hoping you might wanna post it on your own blog.

The Problem With Facebook…

I’ve stumbled upon this interesting video in facebook where a guy talks about “The Problem With Facebook”. He talks about how facebook/youtube and social media makes their money and how we’re the facebook advertisers and shit like that. He also goes into a little discussion where he explains it’s very hard to get people to like your posts like your status, photos, etc.

He is so right though that all people care to see in facebook are wedding photos and baby photos. Plus, people get obsessed with photos of their pets and selfies.

It is hard to get people to like your stuff.

When I post on my personal facebook page… a lot of people don’t hit the like button on my posts too much even though I try to make them positive and fun as possible. Sure, like one or two people will hit the thumbs up button on my posts but not a lot of them. It seems that the only time I get people going on my facebook page is when I post a controversial political topic or if I post something everyone disagrees with… those are the only times I get a big discussion going but other than that… people ignore everything I post like the movies, music, etc. I don’t know why that is but facebook proves that people can be really weird and they can be honest in a way too. Sad but it is what it is.

I also try my best to promote my facebook music fanpage and while I try to get a lot of people to join my page only very few are kind enough to support it. My facebook fanpage has only about 47 fans. That page is just for my musician stuff related only. It’s really hard to get people to support and like you in facebook.

This is part of why Facebook is not a good social media tool for promoting music. To all those bands/artists that do have a lot of fans chances are they paid for those, “likes”. So just because a band has a lot of fans on their page doesn’t necessarily mean they are something special. There are all kinds of bands/artists in facebook who try to make themselves look big and popular when technically they are nothing.

This is why bands/artists shouldn’t rely on facebook to promote themselves. If you want your music to become a little more well-known then your must promote yourself the best you can and market yourself everywhere as much as possible besides the computer. Bands/artists rely on the internet only with their music these days. A lot of them can be lazy at promoting themselves.

If I only have very little support in my social media world on the internet, I’m okay with that. I’m not desperate for popularity. A lot of people are these days. I would like to get more support, of course, but I’m not too worried about it. I’m happy with the small support I have now.

Check out this interesting video, this video has nothing to do with bands/artists but the same advice applies to them too when it comes to facebook.

#HashtagsinFacebook… who cares??? It’s technology people… get over yourselves…

Facebook officially launched hashtags today. For some reason I can’t see hashtags on the PC internet and the Ipad yet but I’m sure it’s available only for people with Iphones and other devices. Sure enough, there’s always going to be people complaining, whining, and bitching about it. Whenever facebook makes new changes, people always complain. Then people will start threatening to deactivate their accounts and they leave facebook. Kind of like a protest thing.

I know how changes in websites frustrates people but keep in mind that the world doesn’t revolve around you. So get over it. That’s the way technology works. Technology changes and evolves. There’s nothing you can do about it. I don’t understand why people get their panties in a bunch about this stuff.

To me, #hashtags are not that big of a deal. It’s just peoples way of speaking their mind in just a few words and you can get straight to the point. It saves you from a headache instead of writing long paragraphs. Of course, hashtags was inspired from twitter. Twitter users started using hashtags in facebook even though they don’t work, and that’s what inspired facebook to make it happen.

It’s hilarious how people get pissed off over #hashtags. They’re all hypocrites when they complain and bitch about it ’cause #hashtags are no different than “tagging” photos and people have no problem with that, right? When people get angry about this stuff… things that are not so important, it shows how selfish they can really be. It proves my point that people can be nothing but opinionated assholes.

I find hash tags fun. As you can see, I’m all over on it twitter. I have no problem with hashtags. It’s just a unique and different way of being honest and publicly speaking your mind about things.

Sure, I may not agree with some of the changes Facebook make over the years but I stand behind them ’cause I don’t take it seriously. It’s just the internet, ya know? People have also threatened to leave facebook ’cause of all the government spying going on. That’s the way this pathetic world works. People are crazy, that’s all there is to it.

5 Reasons Why Twitter is the best social networking site…

When I first started twitter, I didn’t get it at first, but as time goes along, you’ll start to like it more. It does take a long while to get used to it. A lot of people would join twitter, then they quit using it right away ’cause they find it boring to them. I’ve gotten to liking twitter more and more.

Here are 5 reasons why it can be cool:

  1. You can interact with people on a personal level: I’m finding that people in twitter can actually be pretty cool. There are friendly people in there. You don’t just have to go on there to promote your careers or whatever, you can go on there and interact with people. It’s a little different than facebook. You can use twitter to speak your mind in just a small sentence or two. Even though speaking your mind will be short and brief, it can go straight to the point and people will get it. If you want to make twitter fun and not boring, that’s your job. You have to make it interesting. If you make your twitter interesting, random people will like what they see and more will follow you.
  2. The celebrities and famous people keep it addicting:  I also like twitter because of the famous people and celebrities that use it. A lot of you would accuse them of not being real, but there are real celebrities using twitter. They prove it by verifying their accounts, linking their twitter pages to their official sites, and they also prove it by posting photos and videos. Some celebrities are on there to promote their careers only, but some interact with their fans on a personal level. You can get responses & follow backs by celebrities if somehow you can grab their attention. It’s hard to grab a celeb’s attention since they get so many followers, but if you’re lucky enough, you could get a response.
  3. It’s easier to fight spam bots and fake accounts – Facebook makes it hard to fight spam but twitter makes it easier. You don’t have to worry about that stuff there. I can tell what’s fake and what’s real.
  4. You can use it to get trending news faster – They’re a great source for breaking news. When something big happens in the news, the trending topics in twitter will help that.
  5. You can use it to get exclusive news from the entertainment industry – Twitter can be useful for good info that goes on in the entertainment world. Celebrities are always giving exclusive news when they have something to announce, a lot of them announce their stuff in twitter first. Then the press will pick it up later. Why do celebs use twitter first to announce news? Because the answer is simple, it’s much faster to get out to the press than facebook. That’s what twitter is used for. It’s for people with big careers in the professional industry, but the site can be used for non-famous people like me, though.

My only gripe with twitter is that I can’t stand the Justin Bieber obsession. Other than that, twitter is a cool site to use.
