I don’t think Ac/Dc is breaking up, they’ll keep playing until they’re dead…

Rumors hit hard on the internet today that the legendary Australian rockers, Ac/Dc, maybe breaking up due to Malcolm Young’s rumored health problems. Ac/Dc is not just an iconic rock n’ roll band. They’re an institution. Bands like those usually never break-up. They’ll keep playing until they can’t.

Things like this happens when legendary bands take long hiatus’s from the music business. “Break-up” or “retirement” rumors will start.

I love Ac/Dc. Always did.  I loved both the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras.

Malcolm Young is a great rhythm guitarist too. He has always been overlooked and underrated. Malcolm is the one who created most of the big Ac/Dc riffs and rhythm parts to well-known songs such as “Highway to Hell”, “It’s A Long Way To The Top”, “Back In Black”, “Shook Me All Night”, “Thunderstruck”, etc. If it turns out true that he has health problems, I don’t think they’ll hang it up because of it. They’ll keep going.

The band haven’t released a new album since 2008’s “Black Ice” and they haven’t toured in a long time.

I’m sure the band will address the rumors soon. They’re an institution. They can’t hang it up. Not yet, anyway. They’ve been around for 40 years. They’ve been around longer than Metallica. I think they got some music left in them. There are also rumors of a new album coming and full tour in support of their 40th Anniversary so hopefully the band will respond to that too.

The band Ac/Dc is always criticized for their sound. How they are always using nothing but power chords and simple-riffs but that’s not always true. Some of their songs can be pretty challenging. Brian Johnson’s vocals are always criticized too. I think Johnson is a good singer. I like his raspy singing which no other singer could sing like that which makes Johnson different and unique. Johnson’s voice is great for rock n’ roll. I loved Ac/Dc for years and even their newer stuff is great too.

I’m looking forward to their next record if they’re planning one that is. I’m almost sure the band is making another comeback.

How come I haven’t heard about the 2Cellos before???

This video gone viral is just two guys on the cello doing their rendition of Ac/Dc’s “Thunderstruck”. This video is so impressive and I was blown away. I had goosebumps throughout the whole video. These guys shred on the cellos!

When you play strings instruments such as cello, violin, viola, etc. people mistakenly believe you have to play classical music only on them. Not always. You can play any type of music on any kind of instrument. Play rock or metal doesn’t always have to be on guitar.

I was pretty impressed with this video and had a smile on my face watching this. I hope Brian, Angus, and Malcolm saw this.

Report: Ac/Dc finally has change of heart with Apple, you can now buy the band’s entire discography in the Itunes Store!!!

Ac/Dc, the legendary Australian rockers, have always avoided Apple and Itunes, but it seems the band recently had a change of heart. Out of no where, the band announced that today that they released their entire discography on, Itunes. That includes the balds 16 studio albums (both the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras), live albums, and compilations.

Read the band’s announcement, here.

I wonder what made the band, finally change their mind? They probably came to a realization that nobody’s buying CD’s anymore and the band’s CD sales are dropping. It’s understandable why they are so late getting on Itunes ’cause they are old geezers who don’t understand today’s technology yet. I think the main reason is they are releasing “Live at River Plate” on CD this week, and they want the album to sell big. It’s their way of promoting the new live album in a big way.

I love Ac/Dc. Always have! I’m glad they’re on Itunes and would get more of their albums that I don’t have yet. Record stores don’t sell their classic albums anymore. I only have a few Ac/Dc albums and would love to get more of their stuff. Especially more of the Bon Scott era.

Ac/Dc should have been a headliner at Bonnaroo 2009…why did they get ignored???

While Bonnaroo 2009 was a fantastic lineup this year, it was a very impressive lineup. I am dissapointed in one thing. They forgot to book Ac/Dc as the headliner. The boys are currently on tour in support of, “Black Ice”. With Bonnaroo being mostly the audience of the younger generation, kids in their teens up to their 30 something’s were mostly attending Bonnaroo, I’m sure all the kids would have loved to see Ac/Dc there.

With a huge crowd at Bonnaroo, I’m sure Ac/Dc would have raised some hell with the audience than any other band that played there. There would have been some serious moshing, maybe even violence with kids fist fighting, crowd surfing, headbanging, beer bottle throwing, etc. Ac/Dc knows how to get an audience wild.

I guess Bonnaroo wanted this year to be Springsteen and Phish’s night, so I understand why they didn’t book a band bigger than them, ’cause Ac/Dc would have overshadowed Phish/Springsteen.

There’s always next year if Ac/Dc releases another new album? Ac/Dc needs to start playing them big festivals again, they got ignored for this year’s Lollapalooza and Glastonbury UK too. Guess the festivals are afraid of Ac/Dc. Ha ha.

Report: Ac/Dc not performing at Wrestlemania…

Geez, what is this? First Mickey Rourke drops out of Wrestlemania. Now Ac/Dc announced that they are not performing there either due to their big European tour that they have a full schedule to.

Good for Ac/Dc. They don’t need to perform there anyway, just let WWE use their songs for the themes and that’s all the good promoting they need.

Report: Ac/Dc to perform at Wrestlemania 25?

Linda McMahon, the CEO of the WWE has announced that Ac/Dc is confirmed to perform live at Wrestlemania 25. Yes, Brian Johnson and Angus, and the rest of the boys could be performing there. It’s been said that Vince McMahon himself have been a long time fan of the band.

There’s no word on what song that Ac/Dc will use as the Wrestlemania 25 theme song but it will obviously be a song off the new album, “Black Ice”.

When they confirm a theme song for Ac/Dc for Wrestlemania 25, I’m pretty sure, WWE.com will announce it.

Report: HoundsTV names Ac/Dc the best autograph signers while Led Zeppelin were named the worst…

Some bands are great with their fans, love meeting them and love signing autographs for them. Some bands don’t even care for their own fans at all, they are just in the music for either money or for their own ego. HoundsTV which is a website mostly about famous celebrities and musicians signing autographs for fans, compiled a best and worst of music “autograph signers” of 2008 in Toronto, Canada.

Best signers: 1) Ac/Dc 2) Coldplay 3) Randy Bachman/Burt Cummings (the Guess Who) 4)  Shania Twain 5) The Jonas Brothers

Worst signers: 1) Jimmy Page and Robert Plant 2) Bon Jovi 3) The Eagles 4) Madonna 5) Eddie Vedder.

See the list and read their thoughts here:

I agree about Pagey and Plant being the worst signers and not great with their own fans. They don’t do meet and greets hardily at all. Not just in Canada, everywhere they go. You can easily tell that Pagey and Plant could care less about their die hard fans since they vow to never do a reunion tour for us.

BREAKING NEWS: “Twilight” soundtrack knocks Ac/Dc’s “Black Ice” off of no. 1…

Ac/Dc’s new album “Black Ice” may have beaten High School the Musical in the Billboard, but the legendary Australian rockers could not beat the “Twilight” soundtrack this week. The “Twilight” soundtrack includes original songs by bands such as Paramore, Collective Soul, Linkin Park, Muse, Perry Ferrel, and more. AC/DC’s “Black Ice” made no. 1 in the Billboard for only two weeks in a row.

Billboard reports:

That sucks for Ac/Dc, I was hoping they stay no. 1 for another week but I had a feeling the “Twilight” soundtrack would beat them out.

Ac/Dc’s new album “Black Ice” is an incredible album though, I can’t stop listening to it now that I got my own copy of the CD. It’s Ac/Dc’s best album with Brian Johnson since “For Those About To Rock We Salute You” in 1981. “Black Ice” has some of Brian’s best singing (Yes he’s actually singing in this album, he does a lot more than screaming) and Angus and Malcolm’s guitar playing is always amazing as usual.
