Thought: About the Miz becoming WWE Champion part II…

Another reason,  why the Miz was made, WWE Champion is because he used to be associated with MTV in the past. He was a former “Real World” star. Then he went on WWE’s Tough Enough, another wrestling reality show where wrestler hopefuls train to get a contract in WWE. Miz was sent to OVW to further his wrestling skills in hopes of getting signed to WWE. Miz becoming Champion in WWE just recently is a ploy to help market WWE in a huge way since he was a former Real World star. WWE knew Miz becoming Champion would be all over mainstream news. Hoping to get more ratings and more merchandise sales.

All the internet has been talking about lately is the Miz becoming WWE Champion, and I’m not just talking about wrestling community websites. The Miz is even being talked about everywhere, even on TMZ. I know a lot of people like him and a lot of people hope he may become the next Stone Cold/Rock, but I can think of plenty of other younger wrestlers that can easily fill in Stone Cold’s/Rock’s spotlight. Like I said in the previous post, the Miz is not my favorite wrestler. As I said, I don’t think Miz will have a long title reign.

I think there are other young wrestlers that are better than the Miz. Who? I like Ezekiel Jackson, Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger, and that redhead wrestler, Sheamus.

While I don’t agree with Miz being the Champ, I still give WWE props for finally giving the belt to someone different other than Randy Orton and John Cena all the time. I’m sure Cena will get it back, it’s only a matter of time. Just wait.

Thought: Get with it wrestling fans, John Cena is the RAW Anonymous GM, who else would it be???

Storyline wise, John Cena has been fired from the WWE because he is under Wade Barrett’s control. Not anymore. John Cena called the Survivor Series match right down the middle as he promised, so he helped Randy Orton retained. So that makes Cena fired from WWE if he didn’t follow Wade Barrett’s orders while being member of the Nexus.

How would it make more sense to bring Cena back to TV storyline wise? Could Vince McMahon bring Cena back? Pretty unlikely since Vince McMahon haven’t been on TV in a long while plus Vince hates Cena storyline wise. The RAW Anonymous GM wouldn’t bring Cena back ’cause the GM was the one who kept that rule that if Cena doesn’t follow Wade’s orders, he’d be fired.

So why would Cena sacrifice his career storywise? He’ll take a little break from TV for a few weeks just to go with this storyline, and then he’ll get revealed as the RAW Anonymous GM. How would it make sense that Cena would be the GM? Well think about it. The last time Vince McMahon was on TV, he got his ass kicked by the Nexus. Vince knows how much Cena hates the Nexus and knows how much Cena wants to destroy them. Notice, how the GM has been busting on the Nexus a lot, a Cena hint? YES! Cena being revealed as the GM would explain him coming back from the firing.

For those hoping the GM would be Warrior, Bret Hart, or Triple H. Don’t get your hopes up. Don’t be surprised that the GM could be none other than Cena. After reading about Survivor Series and seeing tonight’s RAW, and how this storyline is going, I’m beginning to see that the GM could be Cena. Sorry to disappoint you Cena haters out there.

Thought: Brock Lesnar still can return to WWE, just not wrestle!!!

Rumours are still hitting hard on the internet that there maybe a possibility that Brock Lesnar could return to the WWE, to feud with the Undertaker. Even though Dana White says it won’t happen, the UFC’s policy is that UFC fighters can not fight or wrestle in any other company while still under contract for UFC. Still though, nobody ever said anything about Brock Lesnar performing in WWE, and not wrestle right?

WWE could bring Brock in as a guest host for RAW and Undertaker can go to RAW to feud with him there, or the WWE could make Brock Lesnar as the Anonymous RAW GM, would be interesting. Brock as a RAW GM would work.

If Brock does come back to WWE, that would bring Paul Heyman back as his manager again. I’d love to see Brock and Paul back. Brock may not be able to wrestle but they can put Brock in a different role. Maybe make Brock a special guest commentator or special guest referee, RAW GM, RAW celebrity guest, etc. Any of those things. WWE will figure out a plan for Brock, I’m sure. I’d love to see the Brock vs. Undertaker feud continue ’cause that would make an interesting feud. Brock and Taker feuded in WWE in the past before, this could be a perfect closure to that feud.

Edit to add: If Quinton “Rampage” Jackson can be a guest host on WWE RAW while still under contract for UFC, then the same can happen for Brock Lesnar, right?

Brock reviews 3 hour “Old School WWF” RAW last night…

I really liked, last night’s RAW, they went “Old School”. They went to their old style of WWE programming they had back in the 80’s and early 90’s. Back in the days when WWE used to be really good. A lot of people complain and whine about this PG rating, but if you seriously think about it, WWE started off as PG when they first started in the 80’s. The WWE brought out a bunch of old legends from the past, which was really cool and kids who didn’t watch WWE back then, got their chance to experience what WWE was like back in the old days. Vince wanted to remind us what WWE was like back in the day. When I was a child, I was obsessed with old school WWF. Used to wake up Saturday mornings just to watch WWF.

Legendary wrestlers that performed last night: Cowboy Bob Orton, Mean Gene Okerlund, The Brooklyn Brawler, George the Animal Steele, Harvey Whippleman, Howard Finkel, Mark Henry as the “Sexual Chocolate” gimmick, Yoshi Tatsu, Tony Atlas, Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, Jimmy Superfly Snuka, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Mae Young, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Sgt. Slaughter, Tito Santana, Chavo Classic, Arn Anderson, Ron Simmons, Gerry Brisco, Tatanka, etc. You name it, most of them were there.

Of course, it would have been a better show if the important old school legends made a one time appearance. I wish Stone Cold, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man Randy Savage and especially Bret Hart came out, but none of them did sadly. It’s understandable why Hulk Hogan wouldn’t show up since he’s working for TNA and Hulk wants nothing to do with WWE anymore.

It was actually an exciting RAW but a slight disappointment. I didn’t like the ending. Yes, Rowdy Roddy Piper pulls off a really good promo and speech like he always does, but of course, John Cena ends up being the hero again by beating up Wade Barrett at the end. I’m so tired of RAW ending with Cena being the hero. We’ve been getting these type of endings week after week for the past several years. WWE can never come up with an original ending these days. I was hoping the entire Nexus group would come out and destroy Piper, but of course that didn’t happen. That’s why they had all those legends at the top of the ramp so they can protect Piper from the Nexus.

I actually thought the Mae Young and Lay-Cool  segment was very entertaining. I also loved the backstage skit with Randy Orton/Cowboy Bob and Kofi Kingston, Mean Gene Okerlund. They were filming that backstage interview old school WWF style, with that low budget background. Randy and Kofi were talking like old school wrestlers back in the 80’s which was kind of cool. It was very weird not seeing Bret Hart last night. You’d think the Hitman would be there for this with the Heart Dynasty. Not sure why Bret Hart wasn’t there, I’ll look it up.

It was a pretty good show, just wish they ended it better.

Book Review: Countdown To Lockdown by Mick Foley

I have been a longtime die hard fan of wrestling legend, Mick Foley, for years. It was him that kept me hooked to wrestling. I’ve followed Mick Foley’s career for years. Back in his ECW/WCW days, his Japan Pro Wrestling days to WWE to TNA. I’ve also read most of his books. Yes, I even got the opportunity to even meet the man in person. I met Mick Foley at one of his speeches at ACC College in Glens Falls when he was out promoting his book, “Foley Is Good”. I have a pic to prove it, I’ll find it somewhere. I had Foley sign my “Have a Nice Day” Hardcover book and a Cactus Jack T-shirt which I still have both of those. I’ll show you all those things sometime.

Why do I admire Mick Foley so much? It’s simply because, he’s one of the best performers in professional wrestling. He’s one of the only wrestlers who can put on matches and make them historic. He’s a great mic speaker. Even though he doesn’t have a lot of technical wrestling skills, he’s known as a hardcore wrestler, a street fight anything goes type of guy. Plus, another reason I respect him, is because there is no ego in him at all. He’s always very nice, friendly and professional in the wrestling business. He’s one of those rare guys who has never taking drugs. He has never done steroids, dangerous painkillers or any other substance that wrestlers are known to doing these days. Even though he is an obesed guy (he admits it in the book), he has always been very healthy and clean. I also respect him ’cause he is willing to get hurt for real, taking the risks to put on good hardcore matches. Even if it takes losing an ear or a few teeth, he doesn’t care, he’ll do whatever it takes to put on a classic wrestling match. These are reasons why so many people respect the man.

On with the book, “Countdown to Lockdown”, it takes place before the iconic TNA match at “Lockdown” ppv between Foley vs. Sting. Foley talks of the events leading up to the match, giving it a countdown to the ppv. It is not just a book about wrestling. He talks about a lot of serious things. He talks about meeting famous singer, Tori Amos, and how she’s an inspiration to writing this book. He also talks about helping children and talking about being a member of RAINN, a company that helps fight against sexual violence.

What topics about wrestling did he cover? He talked about his departure with WWE, his feud against McMahon. Talked about his off TV feud with Ric Flair. Of course, he mostly talked about the legendary WCW wrestler, Sting. He also talked a lot about wrestler deaths and steroids. He even covered all of the Chris Benoit murder/suicide controversy.

While Ive read most of Foley’s books, I thought this was his best one. It was insightful and intelligent. Foley is a great storyteller. Foley is on a bit of a hiatus from TNA, but not sure if he is on his way back to WWE or not. It’s long rumoured that he could be the next RAW Anonymous GM, but always denied that rumour and says he’s happy with TNA, not WWE…but who knows, maybe he’s lying to tease the fans. The RAW Anonymous GM could be Foley, since he hasn’t been working for TNA lately. This book is a must read for all you wrestling and Foley fanatics out there. Check out the videos below in which Foley talked about those moments in the book.

Report: WWE not going back to TV-14 anytime soon, folks, sorry!

During the Linda McMahon and Blumenthal election in Conn., the WWE has gotten many complaints from die hard fans that they are not liking the PG rating and fans wants WWE to go back to the TV-14 era. Fans want WWE to go back to bloody violence, sexy divas and swearing/bad language in WWE like in the Attitude Era days. The WWE doesn’t plan to go back to that anytime soon.

Why? Not only that John Cena helps sells a lot of merchandise and he is popular with kids, since WWE teamed up with Mattel last year, they had no choice but to go to PG rating. Mattel toys are selling so well. So it’s a business decision, it really has nothing to do with John Cena, it’s all about Mattel.

More on it, here.

Oh well, if people don’t like the PG rating with WWE, they can always watch TNA. TNA wrestling has all the bloody violence and sexy women that WWE once had. I’ll admit it, that I do miss the TV-14 rating in WWE myself.

Cool Video: Pee Wee Herman on RAW is golden!

While I hate WWE doing this celebrity guest host thing, I think Pee Wee was the only one worth watching out of all the celebrity guest  hosts WWE had in the past. Paul Reubens did such a great job, I’m proud of him. His performance with the Miz was just brilliant. I think Pee Wee tops all the RAW guest hosts in the past. Reubens is a great entertainer, like him or not.

Enjoy this awesome video!

BREAKING NEWS: Vince McMahon sues, Susan Bysiewicz, over WWE garbs ban for Linda’s voting…

Vince’s evil boss character on WWE TV is how he is in real life in so many ways, and this proves it! You mess with the boss of WWE, he’ll mess with you in return. I had a feeling a huge lawsuit was coming so this is honestly, no surprise to me.

TMZ reports.

When you think of McMahon suing this woman, all you hear is Vince’s “No Chance in Hell” theme song below. I think Susan just joined Vince’s kiss my ass club!

Cool Video: Undertaker and Lesnar stare down from last night’s ppv…

Well, the internet’s all over this controversial video. The Undertaker and Lesnar stare down. To those wondering about this, Lesnar and Undertaker worked together while they were in WWE. They had a storyline feud and they were in the “Hell in a Cell” match together. Brock and ‘Taker never got along too well backstage in real life, behind the scenes of wrestling. You heard ‘Taker himself say in this video, “It’s personal”. So that’s a sign they hate each other as you can see.

What does Undertaker mean when he says, “You wanna do it?” and Lesnar says nothing. Did ‘Taker just challenge Lesnar a match for WWE wrestling? That’s what it seems like, doesn’t it? A rumour going around that Lesnar and ‘Taker could be the big headliners for the next Wrestlemania.

If you read Brock’s career history with WWE, Brock left WWE ’cause him and Vince weren’t on the same page. Brock sued WWE over some contract disagreement or something. I don’t think Brock will go back to the WWE for this reason, but who knows, maybe Vince McMahon and Brock will negotiate for him to return. You know how Vince loves more publicity with WWE and Brock is very controversial and popular. Vince “could” possibly welcome Brock back, but I don’t think it’ll happen.

I see this Undertaker and Brock public feud will escalate and get worse in the future. Maybe Undertaker could fight in UFC for one fight against Brock, if it’s all up to Dana, that might happen as well. These two guys will definitely be in the ring again somehow, whether’s it’s either WWE or UFC, either way. We’ll wait and see what happens.
