BREAKING NEWS: Kurt Angle will NOT make the London Olympics due to serious knee injury during training…

For a long while now, Kurt Angle has been trying to make a big comeback to amateur wrestling for the Olympics, this year in London. In 1996, Kurt won a gold medal even though he had an injured neck (fracturing two of his cervical vertebrae, herniating two discs, and pulling four muscles), but he won the bout anyway against, Abbas Jadidi, an Iranian wrestler.

Kurt’s been trying really hard to make the Olympics again, but now his dream of an Olympics comeback looks to be over. During training sessions, he tore an MCL in his right knee and tore his right hamstring muscle. He was going to try out for the Team Trials in Iowa, in hopes of making the London Olympics, but he decided to pull out. The injuries look serious.

More on the story, here.

Well, after years of Kurt working for professional wrestling companies like WWE and TNA, and when you’re getting older, your body can’t take it anymore. Amateur wrestling is real wrestling. Not fake wrestling like you see in entertainment. Even though entertainment wrestling is fake, you still have to be physical and yes, it’s still a “sport”, in professional wrestling, no matter what you think of it.

While I feel bad for Kurt, this was expected to happen, so I’m not surprised at all. He shouldn’t have worked for TNA after all these years and put his focus on the Olympics instead. His years of working in the professional wrestling industry is what put his Olympics dream to an end.

It would be cool to see Kurt make it in the Olympics and see him win another medal. He should have seen this coming.

What I’m noticing with WWE…they’re trying to bring back the past, bring back old memories…

What I’m noticing with WWE recently, is that I believe they’re trying to bring back all the guys from the Attitude era from 90’s – early 2000’s. Evidence of that, they brought back the Undertaker. Kane put the mask back on. Chris Jericho came back. Brock Lesnar came back. The Rock as well.

Even with the PG rating these days, I think it’s a good idea to bring these guys back ’cause there’s a new generation of wrestling fans who don’t even know who these guys are. They deserve to get re-introduced to the new fans who never watched WWE in the past.

Who else should they bring back? Well, Dave Batista for starters, I think he is planning a comeback soon. I would like Stone Cold Steve Austin to make another run, but he has no plans for it though. Stone Cold wants to focus on a full time movie career now. I would like it if Kurt Angle returned, but he has no plans either. Angle wants to stick with TNA and he’s trying to make a comeback to the Olympics. I would like the Dudley Boys to return but those guys are in TNA, and the Hardy Boys are gone as well. Jeff Hardy is in TNA, Matt has no wrestling job now, but there are rumors Matt could make a comeback to WWE.

I think what WWE is doing is good. Now that all the old guys from the Attitude Era are coming back, it would make me want to start watching RAW again.

I must say that WWE did a great job keeping Lesnar’s return unpredictable, I never expected it!!!

I knew Brock Lesnar was going to return to WWE at some point since he’s all done with UFC, but I didn’t think his return would be the night after Wrestlemania! The WWE did a good job staying silent about his return and keeping it top secret, the best they can. Somehow the RAW audience already knew Brock was coming back ’cause they were chanting his name and holding signs in the air with Brock’s name on it. They’re probably the “smart” fans that look at wrestling news on the internet.

John Cena here did a great acting job. Cena did a great job pretending to look shocked for Brock’s return. Cena was out there to call out the Rock to the ring, but instead Lesnar came out. I knew a different wrestler was going to come out instead of the Rock, I just didn’t think it would be Lesnar. The WWE really shocked everyone this time, even me. As you can see in the audience in this video, the fans are so happy and thrilled. I feel that way now.

I’ve been a huge fan of Brock Lesnar ever since his WWE days. Then I started watching UFC, when he moved over to that company for a while. I don’t watch UFC anymore ’cause Lesnar no longer works for them. Yep, huge Lesnar fan, I am. He’s an inspiring guy. I just admire his don’t give a fuck attitude. He’s the real deal.

Brock and Vince must of buried the hatchet, ’cause I remember they had a public feud after Brock left WWE.

Enjoy this video before WWE pulls it from youtube.

BREAKING NEWS: Brock Lesnar officially returns to WWE…

I just watched RAW tonight and Brock Lesnar just made his official return. Lesnar showed up at the very end of RAW tonight. See his photo, here.

No matter what you think of Lesnar, WWE is his home. He belongs in professional wrestling. I think he finally realized it if he agreed to return. It was WWE that helped make Brock a big name star, and icon. Without WWE, he wouldn’t have made it in UFC at all. I’m sure of it.

Look like Lesnar is going to feud with John Cena. Hopefully Lesnar will finish the feud with the Undertaker, so it can be Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker for “Wrestlemania 29”.

Lesnar came back with his own theme and he used his signature move, the F5, on Cena. He didn’t use the the F5 move in UFC at all ’cause it’s a trademarked finisher owned by WWE.

Who knows how long Brock will stay around WWE for. I’m just glad he’s finally back for another run.

Even if the Rock hasn’t wrestled in a ring since 2003, he still has it!!!

So the Rock hasn’t been in an actual wrestling match since 2003. What was his previous wrestling match before his match against Cena at last night’s “Wrestlemania”? Rock’s previous match was against Bill Goldberg at “Backlash” ppv in 2003. That was when the Rock was a heel back then. Goldberg was the babyface. Shortly after the “Backlash” ppv, the Rock had a few more feuds with other wrestlers, then retired from WWE to focus on a full time movie acting career. Yes, it’s been a long time since the Rock wrestled in an actual match.

You know what? The Rock still has it, after all these years he’s been gone. As expected, the Rock vs. Cena was the best match of the night. I knew they were going to put on a helluva match as I’m sure everyone else knew it too. The Rock still can do the People’s Elbow and the Rock Bottom signature moves well, and it was good to finally see those moves again. Even if I don’t like John Cena, I’ll respect him just this one time, even he did a good job as well.

Who won the match? The Rock did it, of course. Miami is the Rock’s hometown, so of course, they were going to give them the win for that one reason. The Rock still has the talent after all these years. When most iconic wrestlers retire from the industry, a lot of people expect them to make comebacks. Well, the Rock never really retired. He knows that WWE is his home and where he belongs, so he came back to make the fans happy. He’s a pretty busy as hell guy going back and forth to his wrestling career to his movie career, so much respect for him.

Other thoughts on last night’s Wrestlemania? It was a pretty good ppv. Nothing that amazing, nothing all that special. It was just pretty good and entertaining. The three best matches of the night as I predicted were, “Undertaker vs. HHH – Hell in a Cell”, “CM Punk vs. Jericho”, and “Cena vs. Rock”. Those three matches  had some really good wrestling.

I even liked the Divas tag team match with Kelly Kelly/Maria vs. Beth Phoenix/Eve. Those women actually wrestled, and it was entertaining. The matches that opened Wrestlemania weren’t that great, they were pretty quick and short matches so they can give the main event matches more time. Although, Randy Orton vs Kane was okay, and I’m glad they gave Kane the win. WWE has been making Kane looking ridiculous for years, and I’m happy Kane, actually won a Wrestlemania, finally.

No Brock Lesnar appearance, but who knows, I have a feeling Lesnar will return this year anyway. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s true. It could be Lesnar vs. the Rock, for next year’s ‘Mania.

It was a decent Wrestlemania, just wish, they  gave Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan more wrestling time ’cause that match only lasted for a couple of seconds. It was the shortest match ever.

Hopefully next year’s ‘Mania, they do a better job. I’m glad last night’s ‘Mania, didn’t end with Cena winning again. Something different for a change.

Brock’s “Wrestlemania 28” predictions…

I don’t really care for this year’s “Wrestlemania 28” card. This year is crap. I’m only watching Wrestlemania for three matches that I’m looking forward to. Yes, that’s right, only three. They are: “Undertaker vs. Triple H – Hell In a Cell with Shawn Michaels as special guest referee”, “John Cena Vs. The Rock” and “CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho”. The other matches I’m not really too excited for.

The last couple of Wrestlemania’s haven’t been that great lately. Wrestlemania was only special during the 80’s and early 90’s during the attitude era, but since WWE became way too mainstream and family friendly with the PG rating, professional wrestling is no longer the same anymore. RAW really hasn’t been good anymore. I still watch Wrestlemania every year ’cause I still respect the performers and the business, even if I don’t like their creative direction.

Anyway, on with my predictions of the Wrestlemania 28 card for this Sunday, April 1st:

  • The Rock vs. Cena: This match never happened before, a dream match finally come true. This match was announced a year early but the year flew by fast. The Rock & Cena feuded all year long to help hype up the match. No matter what you think of the Rock and Cena, you know, they are going to put on the best match, and this will be an exciting one. I think Cena will take the win on this one. It will help keep the feud going and might help give Cena a heel turn. The Rock will challenge Cena for a rematch for next year’s ‘Mania.
  • The Undertaker vs. Triple H “Hell In A Cell” with Shawn Michaels as special guest referee: This is their third Wrestlemania match together. Everyone thinks Triple H will end the streak, but I think Undertaker will win, of course. The streak will stay alive until the Undertaker dies. This will be a good match though. Undertaker and Triple H has been in a Hell In a Cell match together before, that wasn’t on a Wrestlemania ppv.
  • CM Punk Vs. Jericho: I can’t wait for this one ’cause these are two performers that can actually wrestle. This will be one of the best matches of the night for sure. I think Jericho will take the win this time ’cause they’ve been making Jericho look like a loser ever since he first returned to WWE. It’s time for Y2J to come out on top!
  • Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus: This should be a pretty good match but it doesn’t feel like a Wrestlemania match. I don’t care for Daniel Bryan. Sheamus I do like though. I hope Sheamus gets it.
  • Cody Rhodes Vs. Big Show: Somehow I believe this match will be a quick one. This is one of the current feuds I don’t really care for and I don’t like Cody’s new gimmick. As far as who I think will win this one, probably Cody will beat Big Show with some help of some in ring interference.
  • Randy Orton vs. Kane: I don’t really enjoy this feud either. While, I’m glad that Kane put the mask back on, I don’t like how Randy is the mid card at this year’s Wrestlemania when he should be main event material. I think Randy will win this one ’cause it seems like WWE never gives Kane a chance to win on a big PPV.
  • Kelly Kelly & Maria vs. Beth Phoenix and Eve (Divas Match): Usually Diva matches on Wrestlemania are pretty quick. Beth Phoenix and Eve will get it for sure.

While I’m sure most of the ppv will suck, I’m sure there will be 1 or 2 really good matches. I’m surprised there are no celebrities being a part of a wrestling match this year, weird. Last year Snooki was a part of Wrestlemania, this year, no celebs. I think I know the reason. The answer is simple ’cause of the Rock. The Rock is not just a wrestler now, he’s a Hollywood movie star and full time celebrity. I guess WWE was afraid that other celebrities being part of matches would get overshadowed by the Rock.

I’m sure there will be celebrity appearances though, celebs has always been a huge part of Wrestlemania for years.

If WWE wants to draw bigger ratings, then they need to turn John Cena heel…

The only reason WWE will not turn John Cena heel (badguy) is ’cause they’re afraid it might hurt the ratings, lose sponsors, and advertisements. Everyone wants Cena to turn into a full fledged heel, even I do. I think a Cena heel turn would be interesting. I think his super hero image is getting old. I don’t understand why the WWE thinks a Cena heel turn would hurt the company. It won’t. If Cena turns into a badguy that would certainly bring in more viewers, and it would get more people interested. It would also help bring the old fans back who stopped watching wrestling. Yep, I think WWE needs a Cena heel turn pretty badly.

They seem to be dropping hints about it, with his feuds against Kane and Zack Ryder. They seem to be hinting that Cena could get a heel turn at this year’s Wrestlemania. Will it happen? I don’t think so. His match against the Rock will probably end with Cena being the hero again.

I have started watching RAW again, to try and keep up with the storylines of Wrestlemania, to see what’s going on. I’m not sure if I will watch Wrestlemania or not. It will probably turn out to be a disappointing Wrestlemania like the last few were. For “Wrestlemania 28” on April 1st, would probably have like 1 or 2 great matches and the rest would be okay.

I’m sure Triple H vs. the Undertaker and Cena vs. The Rock would end up being the best matches.

Professional wrestling is really falling downhill though. I really feel bad. The early days of WWE and WCW were really great. It’s just sad the way wrestling is today. TNA Impact is having problems too. I still respect the wrestlers and performers ’cause they work hard. The early days of wrestling were all about wrestling, now it’s all family entertainment. Sad.

On RAW lately, there’s been mostly promos that were too long. Not much wrestling. When there is wrestling, it doesn’t turn out to be an actual wrestling match, just silly stuff.

I’m probably gonna end up watching “Wrestlemania” ’cause I want to see the HHH/Undertaker and the Rock/Cena match. I still haven’t lost my passion for professional wrestling. I will always love it dearly, I just hate how it is today.

Soon when the Wrestlemania 28 card is completed, I’ll post my predictions.

Rick Santorum briefly worked for WWE (WWF)??? Yes, it appears to be true…

Rick Santorum is a wrestling fan? Maybe so! I was just doing some research on Santorum’s life, reading more about his past, and I learned he briefly worked for the WWF (now called WWE) back in the old days. He was around his 20’s and 30’s. He worked as a lawyer and lobbyist for Vince McMahon. It was said he was lobbying for Protection Against Steroid Regulation. I thought that was kind of interesting.

Thought: About the Royal Rumble and the upcoming Wrestlemania…

Yes, I did end up watching the “Royal Rumble” last night Sunday night and it was real good. I actually enjoyed it. I’m glad the WWE is finally giving the younger stars the push and recognition they deserve. Even though I don’t care for the PG rating, I still respect all the performers, because they work hard for what they do and they’re good at it. Like professional wrestling or not.

The matches before the 30 Man Rumble match, were pretty good too. I actually enjoyed John Cena vs. Kane, that was actually a well played match. Kane is back to wearing the mask and he’s more evil than before.

As for the 30 Man Rumble matchup, that was pretty exciting like always. A wrestler named, Sheamus, ended up getting the win. He’s the redheaded Irish wrestler who has the white skin. There was a couple of surprise returns though: Road Dog (of the New Age Outlaws), Kharma (formerly known as Awesome Kong), and Hacksaw Jim Duggan were the surprise appearances. Most of the wrestlers in the 30 Man Rumble matchup were, young guys and pretty new to the WWE. I’m glad they gave the newer and young stars, a chance. Sheamus, is a pretty new and young wrestler, and it’s about time they gave the Rumble someone new to win, ya know?

As for the upcoming Wrestlemania, I’m looking forward to the Rock vs. John Cena match. A dream match that everyone wanted to happen and now it’s happening soon. As much as I don’t like John Cena myself, I know Cena and the Rock are going to put on one hell of a match.

I did watch RAW last night, and the Undertaker returned, the night after the Royal Rumble. It looks like Undertaker will have a third match against Triple H, again.

I’ll get back to watching RAW every week leading up to Wrestlemania to catch up. Looking forward to WM-28. I watch Wrestlemania every year.
