Sly Stallone back in Philadelphia but what for???

Sylvester Stallone is in Philadelphia this week for a “special something” but Sly isn’t saying anything. He’s keeping everything tight-lipped for now of what he’s in Philly for but I bet it has something to do with Rocky. As you can see, Sly visits the Rocky Balboa statue and it seems Sly is in Rocky character… wearing the Rocky hat and black leather jacket… Sly is even talking in the Rocky voice too. He has every right to be Rocky in Philly ’cause he is Rocky if that makes sense.

Anyway, the first video is Sly visiting the Rocky statue and a few minutes later, he gets mobbed by fans in Philly. As you can see in the second video, Sly was willing to hang with them for a little bit and take a group selfie with them.

It may not seem like it but Sly is a very popular actor. He’s probably one of the most popular actors in the world. He’s got fans all over the USA and he’s got fans in other countries too. His fanbase is very massive. Why? It’s because Sly rules! He’s a stand up guy with a good sense of humor, he’s very likeable plus he’s a very talented actor. Some of you may find it silly that I called him “very talented” ’cause the man is. Many of you don’t know it yet. On top of all this, the man is a freakin’ badass and a genius. I’ve always been a fan of Sly ever since I was a child and still loyal to this man to this very day.

I’ve watched his films over the years and he inspired me like everyone else. Those fans are lucky ’cause I wish I was in Philly this week so I can meet the man in person.

It seems that Sly owns the Rocky hat himself that he wore in the Rocky series over the years and it’s very rare to see him wear the Rocky hat in public… only in Philly, I guess. Even though Sylvester is 73 now, he still looks like Rocky with that hat on.

Thought this was very cool.

John Frusciante officially re-joins the Red Hot Chilli Peppers as a full time member…

This is really great news. The Chilli Peppers announced on their IG page that their long-time guitarist John Frusciante has now officially re-joined the band as their full time guitarist again. This means that their previous guitarist, Josh Klinghoffer will have to be replaced so John can rejoin the group. Keep in mind though that Klinghoffer is not being fired from the band ’cause the band here wants to make it clear that it was an amicable split between the two. It looks like the guys in the Chilli Peppers had a long talk with Klinghoffer for him to leave the band so John can re-join and looks like Klinghoffer was all for it. Why? I would think Klinghoffer is a fan of the Chilli Peppers like the rest of us and he wanted to see John re-join.

I stopped supporting the Chilli Peppers music once John left ’cause I wasn’t that crazy about that Klinghoffer’s guitar playing style. The Peppers music with Klinghoffer as guitarist never grabbed me. Admittedly, I do have their album “I’m With You” w/ Klinghoffer as guitarist on it but I didn’t like that album too much ’cause it didn’t feel like a Chilli Peppers record at all so I didn’t bother buying their latest album, “The Getaway”. The Chilli Peppers only did two albums with Josh.

John Frusciante is coming back as a full time member. It isn’t going to be a one-off kind of thing. That means Frusciante will be back to recording in the studio with the Chilli Peppers and going on full World Tours with them and stuff.

Like everyone else, I too am a HUGE fan of the Frusciante era of the Chilli Peppers. The Chilli Peppers wrote the best songs with Frusciante. The Chilli Peppers with Frusciante as guitarist were hit makers… they wrote a bunch of smash hits that everyone knows and love: “Under the Bridge”, “Give It Away”, “Suck My Kiss”, “Californication”, “By The Way”, “Scar Tissue”, “Can’t Stop”, “Soul To Squeeze”, etc. The list is endless… Frusciante wrote all those songs with the band. John wrote memorable songs with the Chilli Peppers that never left our heads.

Did Klinghoffer write any smash hits with the two albums they did with the Chilli Peppers that would be considered radiofriendly? Maybe the song “Dark Necessittes” but that’s about it.

Now I’m looking forward to the next Chilli Peppers record when Frusciante hits the studio with them again. They’re probably gonna hit the studio again to write and record songs for the next album asap. The next album probably won’t come out ’til 2021 ’cause it takes forever to record an album. Now the Chilli Peppers can go back to make some sick music again with Frusciante on guitar ’cause the band was at their best with Frusciante. Glad that John is coming back though after a long hiatus from the band.

Wonder what made John come back to them? Maybe John wrote a bunch of song ideas that would be good for Chilli Peppers music and that’s probably what did it, I bet. Maybe John just felt like having fun again. He probably just missed making music with them and wanted to get back into it.

This is great news, though and I’m excited!

Who are my favorite wrestlers in AEW so far??? These are my choices and I’ll name a top 5 for both male & female wrestlers…

I’ve been watching AEW wrestling ever since they first started with their very first ppv and first live show “Double or Nothing”. So far, I’ve seen every AEW ppv and every TV event they’ve ever done. I’m just really impressed with what they’re doing and AEW is definitely making me feel appreciative of wrestling again. I’ve been watching AEW for a long while and I’m just blown away by all the talent they have there.

You see there is a big difference in between WWE talent and AEW talent. With the WWE roster, they are all very talented wrestlers; however, WWE only allows them to use certain moves and most WWE stars can do more than what you see on their brand. With the AEW brand, they are not as strict and picky when it comes to wrestler moves. In AEW, they allow their wrestlers to do whatever they want in the ring pretty much.

So with that being said here are my top 5 favorite wrestlers in AEW for both male and fewmale talent… I’ll list them in no particular order.

The males:

Chris Jericho: I’ve been a loyal Chris Jerich fan for many years. He impresses me over the years and he still impresses me even to this day when he’s in AEW. I always knew Jericho is very talented. Jericho is still killing it in the ring and killing it on the mic too. Jericho never disappoints every time you see him on TV. Admittedly, Jericho was the reason I wanted to get into AEW wrestling .

Kenny Omega: Before AEW wrestling, I’ve seen a few Kenny Omega matches for New Japan and now Kenny is in AEW, this guy just blows my mind. He was definitely one of the best in the indie wrestling industry and I can see why the man has gotten a lot of buzz for the past few years. Now he’s in AEW full time, I look forward to seeing him on TV. Kenny is a freakin’ badass. The man has the full package…. he has the wrestling skills, great mic work and he’s got a great look too.

Adam “Hangman” Page: Don’t know much about him but what I’m seeing of Adam Page is freakin’ awesome. He’s also one of the best wrestlers who never touched WWE. This guy is also great in the ring, great on the mic and he has an awesome look/gimmick.

Darby Allin: This guy getting my attention as of late. His gimmick is a little silly but man can’t help but notice his wrestling skills. He’s one of the best wrestlers on the AEW roster for sure. My god, that man is amazing and I can definitely see him becoming AEW champ sometime in the future.

MJF: Like most AEW fans, MJF is getting my attention. This guy is just entertaining as hell and also good in the ring and good on the mic.

The females:

Awesome Kong: I’ve been a fan of Awesome Kong since her TNA Impact days so I know she’s freakin’ awesome and she’s still killing it in the ring too.

Dr. Britt Baker: She’s definitely one of the best female wrestlers I’ve seen. Her matches are always exciting to watch.

Riho: I have a thing for Japanese wrestling and Riho just blows my fuckin’ mind in the ring. I just love female Asian wrestling and they are always a blast to watch. These Japanese ladies sure know how to put on a good show.

Hikaru Shida: She’s another Japanese talent who also amazes me. These Japanese talent in the women’s division are awesome.

Brandi Rhodes: She’s the wife of Cody Rhodes. I love her ’cause she has a hot look and she’s also great in the ring although she’s playing the manager role for Awesome Kong right now but Brandi is fucking awesome, I enjoy watching her.

So there you have it. Some of you may ask, why didn’t I name Jon Moxley or Cody Rhodes in the men’s division? They are good but not my favorite. In my opinion, I think Moxley and Rhodes are a bit overrated.

I do enjoy AEW so far and they haven’t disappointed me yet. AEW is changing wrestling whether you want to admit it or not.

All this support that I get online means a lot… humbled…

Sorry but I got to brag about myself a little bit. It is amazing that I get all this support from people online and I never realized it until now. Sure, I maybe an easy target of trolls and haters… I’ve always had that problem and still do but not everybody dislikes me. There are actually people who actually loves everything I do whether it will be my online blogging/social media posts, weightlifting adventures and my music. My supporters will support me for one of those or a combination of all three.

My online web persona may not be for everyone and I’m okay with that ’cause like they all say, I can’t please everyone. Some people may see me as “controversial”, “dark” and a bit of an online “troublemaker” but that’s fine. Let them believe what they want to believe and like I said above, some people actually like everything I do. There are some people who appreciate me for my honesty and realism.

As for why some people think I’m “controversial”, I don’t think I ever was. I’m just being myself is all. I’m just honest, just tell my truth and stick to my guns. Therefor, I’m a realist and some are not going to like that apparently. That’s okay. I don’t do what I do for popularity and I don’t really care to get as many fans as possible. If you love me, that’s great. If you hate me, that’s great too. I’m good either way.

The truth is, I’m not going anywhere as I’ll always be on the internet doing my usual things: blogging, social networking… posting about music, the news, politics, reviewing movies and posting my weightlifting stuff. That’s all I ever do online. I’m not changing for anyone as I speak for myself and myself only.

I will be the same guy throughout 2020 as well. Nothing will change as I will continue to be doing what I’ve been doing.

15 Films to Look Forward to in 2020…

This is not a best of list but this is a list of 15 films that I am looking forward to in 2020. These are just my opinions. I’ll try to see all of these.

  • 007 “No Time To Die”: I’m a huge James Bond fan. I’ve seen all the Daniel Craig 007 movies in theater so far and I’ll be seeing this one too.
  • Ghostbusters: Afterlife: I was skeptical at first after the terrible all female reboot but after seeing first look photos of G3 on the internet, I’m sold and now looking forward to a trailer!
  • West Side Story (remake): Spielberg’s been making his “West Side Story” remake all year long and it’s getting a Christmas release. From the photos I’ve seen of it so far, it’s looking good. I’m a huge fan of West Side Story so I’ll be looking forward to it. People maybe skeptical but I’m sure Spielberg nailed it. Just wait…
  • Birds of Prey (aka Harley Quinn spinoff movie): I’m a huge fan of the Harley Quinn character so I’ll be looking forward to this one. Can’t wait.
  • The Call of the Wild: I loved the book when I was a kid so I’m looking forward to the film adaptation with Harrison Ford. The films looks good so I’ll be seeing it.
  • The Conjuring 3: I loved the first two Conjuring films so I’m definitely looking forward to 3. I’m a huge horror film fan.
  • Tenet: Christopher Nolan’s next film. I’m a big fan of Nolan’s work. Seen every film he’s ever done so I’m looking forward to his next one for sure.
  • A Quiet Place: Part II: I really loved the first Quiet Place movie as I thought John Krasinski did a good job with it. I figured there would be a sequel coming ’cause the ending left open for more.
  • The New Mutants: Another installment to the X-Men franchise so I’ll be looking forward to this one ’cause it’s actually looking pretty interesting so far.
  • Fast and Furious 9: I’m a huge fan of the Fast & Furious movie franchise. Seen them all except for the 8th one which I will get to soon.
  • Top Gun: Maverick: Can’t leave the Top Gun sequel out of this ’cause I’ve been looking forward to this one ever since there were talks about it in the beginning stages. Loved the first movie so much so I’ll be seeing the sequel for sure.
  • Bill & Ted’s Face the Music: Bill & Ted 3 is happening and it’s coming out in 2020. I love Bill and Ted so I’ll be seeing this one for sure. I like to see a good comedy once in a while.
  • Dune (remake): I’m actually looking forward to the Dune remake ’cause the David Lynch version was kind of disappointing and not faithful to the book. I hope the upcoming remake will be more faithful to the book ’cause I love the book so much. We’ll see.
  • The Many Saints of Newark: I’m looking forward to this ’cause this film is gonna be a prequel to the Sopranos TV series on HBO and it’s a mobster movie. Michael Gandolfini (who is the son of James) will be playing the young Tony Soprano in it so this movie already sounds interesting.
  • Samaritan: This is Sylvester Stallone’s next film after “Rambo: Last Blood”. Sly will take on the comic superhero genre playing the Samaritan superhero in the leading role. Can’t wait for this one. I look forward to any Sly Stallone film.

So there you have it. Enjoy!

As of today Dec. 8th is a day of remembrance of 4 important musicians in the music industry: Jim Morrison, Gregg Allman, Dimebag Darrell and John Lennon…

Like the title says as of today Dec. 8th is a day of remembrance of 4 important musicians in the music industry who inspired and changed us all over the years. These are musicians who are having birthdays today and having death anniversaries.

The Birthday musicians are Jim Morrison (Born: Dec. 8th, 1943) and Gregg Allman (Born: Dec. 8th 1947).

The Death Anniversary musicians are Dimebag Darrell (who passed 15 years ago today) and John Lennon (who passed 39 years ago today).

All 4 of these musicians were definitely important to my life so I’ll never forget any of them. Gregg Allman passed a few years ago so now he joins these men in heaven.

I’m a huge Doors fan, a huge Allman Bros. fan and a huge Pantera fan. Of course, I listened to a lot of Lennon’s solo stuff too.

Dec. 8th is always an important day of music because of these guys and I think they are the Mt. Rushmore of music for sure.

RIP to all of them and love all of them.

When will my best of 2019 lists coming for music and movies? They will be coming soon…

Usually at the end of every year, I would write up a best of top 10 or a top 15 lists for Best Music Albums and Best Movies of the year. You can betcha I will do both lists for this year too; however, I think I will wait to do both of these lists in Jan. I’m not going to rush these two.

There are still more movies I need to see of 2019 and there are still some more music albums that I need to hear of 2019. This year’s been a decent year for music and movies, though. For music, I’m finding a lot of good albums that I liked this year and there were some good movies this year too.

These lists will be coming. As for movies, the next movie I will be seeing in theater is “Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker” and there are still a bunch of movies that came out this year that I haven’t seen yet but will see them soon. So much to catch upon, so little time, ya know?

I will get those lists but I will write a list of the upcoming movies I want to see for 2020 that I can write up easily this weekend. Be on the lookout.

Saw the Mr. Rogers movie, “It’s a Beautiful Day In the Neighborhood” yesterday afternoon… really GOOD!!!

So yesterday afternoon, I went to the mall to get my Christmas shopping done. When I finished my Christmas shopping, I decided to hit the movies to kill some time and I ended up seeing the Mr. Rogers movie starring Tom Hanks titled, “It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood”. I’ve been wanting to see this movie for a while ’cause I used to be a Mr. Rogers fan when I was little. I used to watch that show all the time when I was a kid and it used to be my favorite show.

So now here we have a Mr. Rogers biopic/biography film of the famous children’s TV show host with Tom Hanks playing the role of Fred Rogers. At first I was a little skeptical of Hanks playing the role of Fred Rogers and I wasn’t sure if he’ll be able to pull it off or not but now that I’ve seen the film for myself, I was blown away. Tom nailed the Fred Rogers role perfectly. Tom nailed his looks and Tom nailed his speaking voice too… it is pretty much dead on with the real life Fred Rogers. Tom knocks it out of the park like usual. Tom can play anything that throws at him, is there anything that man can’t do? I think there is another Oscar coming for Tom. Tom is a two time Oscar winner believe it or not even though it seems like he won a lot… he won an award for the film “Philadelphia” and won another one for “Forrest Gump”. Does Tom have a third one on the way? I hope Tom gets a nomination for the “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” film at least and hopes the Academy doesn’t snub him for the next Oscars show. This is one of Tom’s best roles.

As for the film itself goes, I was impressed of how it was directed. They got the feel of Mr. Rogers perfectly. I almost felt like watching the TV show except this was on the big screen. They nailed the Mr. Rogers TV set perfectly… they got the music perfect and the whole movie was directed by a female director and she did a really really good job. I thought the other cast in the film did a great job too even if the movie is full of unknown actors, Hanks was the only big name pretty much.

After years and years of violent action movies and dark films, we finally get a movie that is very positive and heartfelt. It’s that type of movie that will make you smile all the way through and it certainly did that to me.

The film tells the real life story of Fred Rogers befriending a journalist who worked for Esquire magazine, it’s about that famous interview that Fred Rogers did with them. The film was about the friendship of Fred and journalist Tom Junod (which the film changed his name to Loyd Vogel).

I thought it was an amazingly well made and perfect film. It was beautiful. Loved it. Definitely getting the BluRay when it comes out and this film is definitely bound to get some Oscar nominations for sure and I hope Tom doesn’t get snubbed. If you were a fan of Mr. Rogers or if you never watched the show before, it is recommended seeing. The film is an introduction of Mr. Rogers too so you don’t really need to watch the original TV show. Glad I went and saw it.

Next movie to see in theater is “Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker” in a few weeks.

Did Kid Rock just hinted that he’s making a comeback to rap/metal??? It seems that he just did…

Looks like Kid Rock is getting all fed up with the  bullcrap he’s getting by the hardcore left these days. Y’all know that it seems that Kid Rock is leaning right politically and he’s been getting a lot of liberal backlash… especially for his rant against Oprah Winfrey on his twitter page. Was this in response to that?

Anyhow, Kid Rock is in the studio again recording a new record for 2021 and it’s looking he just hinted he’s going back to rap metal. The genre that pretty much started his career in the 90’s. Kid Rock’s rap metal stuff was pretty huge in the 90’s but in the 2000’s years, Kid Rock began to stay away from rap/metal and going different directions with his music over the years. He’s been doing a lot of country music and southern rock stuff which this type of music landed him in the country music spotlight. He still does hard rock music some but trying to stay away from the rap music stuff that he was known for in the old days.

Ya know, I know Kid Rock is still pretty popular musically but I prefer the rap/metal Kid Rock than the country/Southern Rock stuff he does. I was a huge Kid Rock fan when he was doing the rap/metal stuff but then I stopped buying his music since he went country.

In the tweets above, this is a big hint that it looks like he’s making a comeback to rap/metal. Notice he said, “Devil Without a Cause”. He is angry and pissed off and in order to show that anger in his music, he needs to bring back rap metal which makes sense. It’s good news if he’s really going back to the rap stuff ’cause I think he’s best at that.

It also looks like he’s fed up with the major label industry ’cause the tweets say, he’s no longer with a label and he’s releasing the record unsigned. That’s also a cool thing ’cause if you make a record without a label that means you get full control of your music without any record execs trying to tell you how to write songs. So it’s going to be interesting to see what Kid Rock’s next album is gonna be like.

I still do love the album “Devil Without a Cause”, though. It’s a great record and still holds up today.

Watched “The Irishman”on Netflix last night and I’m like, “Wow, this is the best film of the year!”

Yesterday evening on Thanksgiving, I watched the Netflix movie “The Irishman” that was directed by Martin Scorsese. I’ll have to say like the title of this topic says that this is the best movie of 2019… well so far anyway and I really mean that too. It’s definitely another winner for Scorsese. Marty Scorsese is a genius film maker, no doubt. He has made a lot of great films over the years like “Goodfellas”, “Cape Fear” and “The Departed” being a few of my favorites that he did. Well Marty’s new film, “The Irishman” I’ve been looking forward to for a long time and it’s finally here.

I was totally impressed with it and blown away. The movie grabs you right from the start as the movie begins. As soon as the movie starts, I watch it from start to finish without any interruptions and yes, it’s a 3 and half hour movie. The movie has an all star cast too… it has everyone from: Robert Deniro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, Ray Romano, Anna Paquin, Jesse Plemons, Steven Van Zandt, etc.

This wasn’t the first film Deniro and Pacino teamed up together in. They did a few other movies together like “The Godfather Part II’, “Righteous Kill” and “Heat”. So I think “The Irishman” would be their 4th film together… correct me if I’m wrong? Even though I think Deniro is a shitty person in real life and absolutely hate his left-wing politics, he’s still a great actor and I’m not afraid to admit that. I thought he did a great job in this film, though and this is definitely one of his best roles.

Yes, there was another movie based upon the “Hoffa” disappearance & murder which was a film directed by Danny Devito and starring Jack Nicholson as Hoffa released in the year 1992. You probably remember that film and I remember re-watching that one on Netflix not too long ago. This film and Marty’s “The Irishman” are two different films, though even though they’re similar stories.

“The Irishman” was based upon the book titled, “I Heard You Paint Houses” by Charles Brandt.

“The Irishman” just simply tells the story of Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran who is telling the story of his criminal past being a part of the Buffalo crime family and former union labor high official. The film also tells its own story of the mysterious Jimmy Hoffa disappearance and murder in which Sheeran confessed to. Jimmy Hoffa who was once a labor union leader himself.

I thought “The Irishman” was a brilliant movie and it’s not only the best film of the year, it’s also the best original movie on Netflix. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Netflix has too many original films. Most of them bad and a few of them actually pretty good but finally Netflix released a really good one. “The Irishman” was mind-blowing and I love how Marty is trying to keep mobster movies alive ’cause those type of movies are fading. Marty is the best at making mob movies, though.

Not only that Robert Deniro kills it with his acting… can’t ignore the talent of Pacino, Pesci and Keitel. Those guys killed it too like they always do. We haven’t seen Joe Pesci in a movie in a long time and obviously that man still got it even though he’s 76 now. I just love Pesci’s fast talking voice and that’s probably why he is so popular, really… people just like the way he talks.

The movie was also well filmed, well written and well directed. No complaints at all. Just a perfect all around movie all the way through. I’m definitely gonna give it another viewing, probably next weekend.

Check out “The Irishman”. The movie was amazing and I hope it gets a nomination for Best Picture at the next Oscars.
