Bodybuilding really is a life changer for me… more and more people are starting to talk to me ’cause of it…

Usually I keep to myself most of the time. Yeah, I’m an introverted person and quiet but that doesn’t mean I’m completely anti-social. I’m only pretty talkative to those I know well and if I think I like and trust you enough, I’ll talk to you as well. I do try to be approachable as much as possible, though.

A lot lately I’ve been having a lot of complete strangers, people I don’t know approaching me to chat me up. Not sure why that is. Is it because of my muscular physique??? Yes, that is probably a part of it. I’m having a lot of random people I don’t know coming up to chat me up and this has been happening a lot at the gym especially. I now know a lot of people that work out at my local gym and starting to make friends with a few of them too.

I think what it is that the more jacked and more fit you get, people will respect you. Bodybuilders usually do earn a lot of respect and I guess, many of them do grow a fan following and a lot of supporters. Maybe they just like how I look and respect my work ethic in the gym and it’s just their way of showing respect. I’m even having a lot more women approaching me too. I’m surprised I don’t have a hot girlfriend yet but it could happen sooner or later, haha.

I am humbled and grateful for all the support and respect, though. It’s what keeping me motivated and it’s part of why I keep going. I know I can’t please everybody in bodybuilding ’cause I know I’m gonna get some haters and assholes but that’s okay. Getting haters is a good thing too as they don’t scare me at all.

My goal is to get big as possible. Some of you may ask, would I get a career out of bodybuilding and make money for it? No, not at all. I’ll never become a fitness model, a fitness guru, personal trainer and none of that stuff. I just lift weights ’cause it’s a passion of mine and I’m not looking to get rich off of bodybuilding at all. Just want to look great and be healthy.

Thoughts on Arnold getting attacked by some nutjob in South Africa… if you hated Arnold before then you may no longer hate him after this…

Celebrities in America always get criticized for having armed bodyguards everywhere they go. If you watch the video clip Arnold posted above on his twitter, you would immediately see why celebrities have bodyguards. It’s for their protection and safety. Having bodyguards helps keeps them safe from nutjobs and violent people. Celebrities are such a big public figure in America and they are always gonna get crazies after them.

You may have hated Arnold in the past but after seeing this video, I’m sure you respect him a little bit more. Whether you love Arnold or hate him, you can’t deny the fact that he is a tough dude. Arnie is a former pro bodybuilder. Even though he is a retired bodybuilder, he still works out in the gym and he’s still in great shape. If Arnold didn’t have that muscular body then that attack could have been much worse for him. Do you see how that having a muscular body can do good things for someone? Having a muscular physique can help protect you.

Fitness and bodybuilding can do great things for you later in life and this is proof of it. This makes me respect Arnie even more. I loved how he brushed this off and laughed it off like it was nothing.

Glad Arnie is okay, though. Look, I get that some of you out there don’t like a certain celebrity but what you DON’T DO is attack them. You could get into a lot of trouble for that and when you physically attack someone famous, that could ruin your life forever. You could get sent to jail for a long time, people will lose respect for you and I can go on and on. You may not like certain celebrities out there but they are still human and they are real people like all of us. They don’t deserve to get attacked by nutjobs. If I see a certain celebrity that I’m no fan of getting attacked by someone, I will still save him/her from the attacker ’cause that would be the right thing to do.

I don’t agree with Arnold’s politics but I’m still a huge fan and admirer of his. I just respect him for his movie career and bodybuilding. That’s pretty much it really.

Physique update… I’m loving what doing more barbell work have done to me lately…

Here’s my latest bodybuilding progress. Well, training in powerlifting too is really helping my physique as you can see. Getting into bench pressing full time really have helped my pecs, big time. I’m finally getting the look I wanted.

As you can see, I got a pretty good six pack going so I must be pretty lean. At the gym today, I just checked my bodyfat percentage and it’s about 15% percent now which is considered lean. Honestly, I don’t really need to get any lower in bodyfat ’cause in reality getting lower than 10% would be pretty dangerous.

Maybe I might be ready for the bodybuilding competition stage after all? I don’t know, lmao… only kidding. I would never compete for the bodybuilding stage and once again, I just want the look.

I’m happy with what I look like now, though. Still got a lot of work to do. I want my pecs to be a lot bigger but gonna take my time.

Robert Pattinson is the next in line of Batman actors, I’m no fan of him like most but I’ll give him a chance…

So it’s looking like that Robert Pattinson the star of the “Twilight” movies which is he most famous for is gonna be the next Batman. That means Pattinson is gonna be added to the growing list of Batman actors for the big screen: Michael Keaton, George Clooney, Val Kilmer, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck and looks like Robert Pattinson is gonna be added to the list.

https://variety.com/2019/film/news/robert-pattinson-batman-matt-reeves-bruce-wayne-dc-comics-1203125473/

I’m no fan of his like most people but I’m not gonna be so quick to judge and I’m gonna give him a chance first. We haven’t even seen what he looks like in the batsuit and cowl yet. We will soon, though. I think the goal for the new Batman reboot is that they wanted a younger Batman. The Batman movies over the years focused on an older Batman who’s in his 40’s and up. They wanted someone much younger so I guess they found that Pattinson is their guy.

What do you think? Do you think Pattinson has what it takes to play the next Bruce Wayne/Batman? I don’t know. He might do a good job and he might not. We shouldn’t be so quick to negatively judge him. Why don’t people wait until we see footage from the film first instead of criticizing him ’cause of his “Twilight” fame?

Never know… Pattinson becoming the next Batman could end up being fucking awesome. We’ll have to wait and see.

Starting next week, I think I’m going to take two de-load weeks on weightlifting… I need it…

Ya know, after some long hard thinking on why I had a terrible deadlift 1 rep max out week, I know what the problem is. I think the big issue was that my form was a little off. I think I was standing a little too far away from the bar which was a part of why I couldn’t lift heavy weight off the floor. If I stood one inch in front of the bar, I probably would have gotten it. Deadlifting with the foot stance far away from the bar will not lift the bar off the ground. You gotta stand a bit close to it. The bar must be over the middle of your feet. I think my setup was terrible which was why I couldn’t do it. Usually my deadlift startup and form was really good but lessons learned next time.

I think I’m going to deload for the next two weeks ’cause I really need it, ya know? I’m reading some powerlifting forums on why your deadlift is getting weaker, they say you either need to take two weeks off of deadlifting or de-load for two weeks. I’m not gonna take time off from deadlifting so I’m just gonna lift light. Doing some research, I’m reading about that even if you do light lifting and high reps that will still be taxing for your body so I’m just going to do light lifting and few reps. Nothing too crazy. I’m going to give that a try. De-load for two weeks and then get back into regular strength training.

I think I need to take my time and not rush to get to the bigger numbers. So many powerlifters out there want to rush their numbers when they shouldn’t. You shouldn’t get so ahead of yourself and that’s what I don’t want, ya know?

Also, when powerlifters can’t get the numbers they want… their ego gets so big that they get all defensive and they make all kinds of excuses of why they couldn’t hit those numbers. Well, not me. I’m going to be realistic with all of my mistakes and take responsibility for them all. That’s what annoying about other powerlifters. Many of them will never admit why they bomb out at powerlifting meets and they will never be realistic on why they get “red lights”. They make silly excuses like: “Oh, I wasn’t feeling it” and all that crap. Oh, cut the bullcrap. You mess up in powerlifting ’cause it’s probably your fault to begin with. A lot of powerlifters don’t train smart. At powerlifting meets, I’ve seen many powerlifters that miss lifts on the first and even second attempts ’cause why? They start off too damn heavy is why. At powerlifting meets, your first two attempts on the platform should be considered easy warmup sets but on your third attempt will be your max out. That’s how you can put on a successful meet. I’ve done three powerlifting meets so far and I’ve done a good job at all three of them.

Yeah, I think I need to take it easy for a while with the lifting. Do nothing but light lifting on everything for the next two week and then the week after, time to get back to serious business. I’ll be deadlifting over 300 lbs. very soon, y’all. I’ll get my “fire” back again. It’s just gonna take some time.

I want to be really good at deadlifts and don’t wanna mess up. I’m not gonna lie that I want to be one of the bests. I want to be great at deadlifting. I’m already am doing pretty good but this is only the beginning.

Tried to max out on deadlift for my 1 rep max test earlier today but it wasn’t very good…

Today, I was gonna go for my 1 rep max test on the deadlift at the gym earlier today but once again, I didn’t have it in me. I swore I hit a 310 lb. deadlift in the past and for some reason I can’t do it again. I even couldn’t hit a 300 lb. and 295 lb. deadlift and I knew I got those numbers before.

So I ask myself, “Am I getting weaker on deadlift? Am I plateauing?” The answer is no to both of those questions.

I don’t think I’m getting weaker. When you notice your deadlift, bench or squat numbers has been staying the same or going down, there is a reason for that. Mostly because your body is beat up, fatigue and your CNS is probably getting fried. I’m realizing that maybe testing out 1 rep maxes after a few weeks of strength training isn’t the best idea. Before you test your 1 rep maxes on the big three, you should take a de-load week before you do it. My mistake, my bad and lessons learned.

I’m not injured so don’t worry but honestly, I do feel beat up a little bit. I need a de-load week anyways. What is “de-load”? You probably heard that term in the weightlifting world before and here is a great post over at bodybuilding.com explaining what “de-load” is and how to do it…

https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=121391461&fbclid=IwAR3TsYMD30CTaAjtje6NrsZpzxWjc7-rlYkshQdOLG4Ybl5bw_HS8_GvmOQ

I didn’t lose deadlift strength. I’m pretty sure I didn’t. I just need to take a breather, go easy and take a de-load week and I’ll do that next week. I’ll admit it, I’ve been doing a lot of heavy sets and few reps for the past 3 or 4 weeks to train for strength. I’ve should have taken a de-load week before maxing out and I’ll keep that in mind next time.

Like I said before, I’m still pretty new to powerlifting training. I got a lot to learn so I’m gonna make a lot of mistakes. I don’t feel bad about not being able to lift a 300 lb. deadlift again ’cause every powerlifter out there goes through this. Even the greatest powerlifters out there go through bad days on the deadlift platform. They all go through it.

I’ll get it back again, though. Next week, I’ll take a de-load week and I need to de-load more often. Train for strength for like 3 weeks straight and then the week after de-load. I gotta learn to train smart and be more careful. I’m sure I’ll deadlift 300 or over soon, it’s just going to take a little while longer. I’ll be on fire again real soon, just wait!

A lot of powerlifters out there get upset when they can’t get numbers they want but I’m not gonna panic and not gonna let it get to me. Last thing you want to do is freak out about it. Admittedly, I was a little frustrated… not gonna lie… I just gotta learn to de-load more and I will. Lifting super heavy week after week like the post from bodybuilding.com said is not good. You gotta have your light weeks.

Triple H is growing more frustrated with the way Vince McMahon has been running WWE… about freakin’ time!!!!

Not only that WWE fans are unhappy at the way Vince McMahon has been running RAW/SD Live and the PPV’s, Triple H is just as frustrated as much as we all are. Triple H maybe Vince’s son in law in real life and Triple H maybe C.O.O. of the WWE in real life so you may think that Triple H must kiss Vince’s ass most of the time. Well, Triple H did play the “yes man” with Vince up until now. Triple H is now getting frustrated on the way Vince has been handling WWE creative storylines and booking.

Check out this story to see what’s been going on lately…

https://www.givemesport.com/1475538-triple-h-is-reportedly-the-most-frustrated-person-in-wwe-over-vince-mcmahons-creative-decisions

Ya know, I really believe that Triple H should take full control of WWE and Vince should leave. Vince really is hurting wrestling fans and he doesn’t even realize it. The WWE are trying all they can to improve the product but no matter what they do, the ratings get worse.

Vince McMahon thinks he knows what the fans want but in reality, he doesn’t at all. I think he doesn’t realize that what the fans want to see is that they don’t want Vince ignoring wrestling. That’s what Vince has been doing and it’s what we don’t like about WWE. The company ignoring wrestling and treating it like family entertainment is what we don’t want.

Vince really needs to wake up and step his game up or else the new wrestling company AEW will take over the WWE’s spotlight easily. AEW (All Elite Wrestling) is coming. They got a ppv coming on TV called “Double Or Nothing” next Saturday night and soon, AEW will be aired on TNT channel weekly. Once AEW gets on TV, I can see WWE fans switching to AEW and AEW could become next big wrestling federation.

Us WWE fans just want to see good wrestling back ’cause the matches on WWE shows lately have been nothing but shit. Vince really needs to bring back “wrestling” and end this PG rating crap.

I predict AEW will take over the WWE’s spotlight ’cause AEW will give us a lot of things that WWE don’t do. AEW will give us “wrestling” and that’s why they’re about to explode in the industry. Just wait.

Kiss makes 50 million for “End of the Road World” tour… now you know why legendary bands do farewell tours, right?

So why do bands and artists like Black Sabbath, Motley Crue, Elton John, Kiss, Garth Brooks, and many others do “farewell” tours to end their careers with??? The answer is quite simple really is ’cause they know that “farewell” tours make big money. This is why legendary bands & artists end their careers with a tour instead of a final album. Bands retire without releasing one more album ’cause nobody cares about albums anymore, right? People nowadays care about live concerts more.

https://t.co/8UgrObxpRF?fbclid=IwAR2yX6vag3EHt8ainhqxbRPqWoWxe72h-CsKcdwmG_U9LO97MNHddbieBgM

If you think these legendary bands and artists care about the fans, they don’t. They only care about the money, that’s it. These bands & artists have no reason to retire at all… they go out ’cause they want to make more money. They figure, “Why not call it quits, make a bunch of money and then enjoy the rest of our lives with it?”. That’s what it’s all about, really.

I remember reading interviews with Billy Joel and he criticized this. Billy Joel is definitely no fan of legendary bands & artists doing “retirement” tours. Billy said he would never do one and that’s good.

I really think “farewell tours” are pretty silly and nothing more but a big cash grab for sure. That’s all they are really.

Now I have a new Ipod Touch, I’m gonna use it to get back into podcast listening too…

Over the weekend, I’ve started listening to podcasts on my new Ipod Touch. I’m not gonna listen to so many podcasts but there’s only a couple of them I’m gonna listen to. The only three I’m going to be listening to are: Talk Is Jericho (I’ve listened to Chris Jericho’s podcast a lot in the past, now I’m going to get back into listening to him again), 83 Weeks (a wrestling podcast with Eric Bischoff and Conrad Thompson) and Eddie Trunk (the famous radio/TV personality now has his own podcast and listened to a few episodes of his over the weekend, good stuff).

I like listening to podcasts but I’m only going to be listening to those for wrestling and music. They have interesting interviews with wrestlers and music stars, that’s why I listen to them.

Podcasts are pretty cool but I won’t go too crazy over them. I listen to Jericho’s podcast ’cause I’ve been a fan of his for a long time and I’ve been a fan of Eric Bischoff too. As for Eddie Trunk, I’ll be listening to his podcast for some more rock & metal knowledge. I listened to three of Eddie’s interviews with Phil Collen of Def Leppard, Klaus Meine of the Scorpions and Lita Ford.

I’ve always thought about starting my own podcast ’cause honestly, I really don’t have a bad speaking voice at all. I actually like my speaking voice and I wouldn’t be a bad radio talk show host at all but starting my own podcast would be a lot of work and a lot of money, I think. On top of that, I wouldn’t know who to interview for it so I probably won’t start a podcast. I will continue to do videoblogs to speak my mind on so how about that?

There’s a lot of wrestlers and wrestling personalities that have their own podcasts but I’m only going to be listening to Jericho’s show and Bischoff’s “83 Weeks”. I like Bischoff’s “83 Weeks” ’cause it has a lot of WCW history knowledge on it. I’ve only listened to one episode of “83 Weeks” but I plan on listening to a lot more. I’ve seen a lot of old WCW on the WWE Network and I want to learn about WCW as much as possible. WCW was pretty historic stuff.

I love podcast listening. Way better than talk radio.

Did my 1 rep max test on bench today… tried to film video but couldn’t…

Well, this week is 1 Rep Max week for the big three so I can see what my personal bests are for the big three lifts. Today, I did a 1 rep max test on bench and my “personal best” or (new p.r.) on that is 160 lbs. It was a pretty easy lift so I attempted 165 lbs. That 165 lbs. was a missed lift so I guess my latest p.r. on bench right now is 160 lbs. That’s okay, I feel pretty good about that.

I tried to film video of that lift today but my Icloud storage got full so my new Ipod Touch couldn’t film today. Bummer. Oh well, later today I’m gonna figure out how to free up Icloud space ’cause I don’t want to pay for more Icloud space. I’m sure there is a way to clear up Icloud space, I just gotta figure it out.

I feel real good about 160 lb. bench p.r., though. I’m almost there to a 200 lb. bench… just 40 lbs. away. I’m on the road to a 200 lb. bench and I could get there this year, I think. Hopefully, I can get there before August in time for the push/pull meet at Albany Strength.

I think after max out week, next week will be de-load week ’cause I need it. Then after that, back to strength training. Powerlifting training is fun… next I’ll see what my latest p.r. is for squats when I do leg day later this week.
