Thought: Susan Boyle is not great…sorry…

I have never even heard of this Susan Boyle until the internet started talking about it. So I checked out her performance on “Britain’s Got Talent” in youtube, just out of curiousity to see what’s so special about her, I’m sorry, she is nothing special. Nothing original and nothing mind blowing about Susan Boyle. I wasn’t that impressed. There are so many opera singers that can sing like that, and there are so many opera singers that can sing much better than her. If I was the judge of Britain’s Got Talent, I would have slapped my hand down on the red buzzer. She’s not good. Sorry.

Youtube symphony is pretty addicting stuff!!!

More on this youtube symphony orchestra. This is pretty incredible jaw dropping stuff. I just got done watching this entire 59 minute video.

These musicians you see on stage are not famous folks. They are all amateurs and unsigned musicians, regular people like us that just uploaded videos of themselves playing their instruments and look, here they all are playing Carnegie Hall!

Phenomenal  stuff.

Report: Chris Cornell sounds like he is dying to reform Soundgarden now!!!

Ever since the brief Soundgarden reunion in Seattle, Chris is still talking about it. I think we’ll get an official Soundgarden reunion later this year with Chris as frontman! Soundgarden should go on tour with Metallica or Alice in Chains! And put out a new album too!

Sly didn’t break his arm filming the Expendables, thank god!!

A little worried with all the rumours flying around that Sly Stallone broke his arm, from filming a flying stunt scene (a flying, rolling kind of thing), the Expendables twitter page by Sheryl Main confirmed that the rumour is false. Sly got injured a little bit but not a broken arm. All he got were cuts and bruises…

Sly doing his own stunts? Lets see if your grandpa can do all that!

The Listening Room: I am really digging the new Tinted Windows song, “Kind of a Girl”…

So the new supergroup, Tinted Windows, that features musicians: James Iha, Taylor Hanson, Bun E. Carlos, and Adam Schlesinger put out a new song called, “Kind of a Girl”. I am really digging it a lot. I was a little worried by this new band, ’cause of Taylor Hanson, but this is actually a really really good song. Not bad at all. The song sounds like old school rock n’ roll with the likes of Cheap Trick, Talking Heads, and the Knack.

I’m looking forward to buying their album when it comes out. Count me in as a fan!

Where did Sly get the Barney Ross name from in “The Expendables”…how did he inspire the story???

Barney Ross is a name of a character that Sylvester Stallone is playing in, “The Expendables”. The name is taken from a real life legendary fighter, Barney Ross himself.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barney_Ross

Is this how Sly came up with the plot for “The Expendables” from Barney Ross’s real life story with his father and World War II stuff?

Sly took the title from one of the Rambo movies, where he said, “Im Expendable”.

It’s kind of strange how Sly is doing a movie taken from that Rambo scene and he’s playing a character name that’s inspired from the real life boxer.

Barney Ross was a World War II veteran and Rambo was a Vietnam vet who claimed that he was Expendable.

Is this the point of Sly’s new movie, “The Expendables” as his way of proving that Rambo is “Expendable” even though that this movie has nothing to do with Rambo?

Whether this movie is R rated or PG-13, I don’t care. I just want to see a good action movie with a good plot. I’m sure there is a lot more to the plot where the Expendables take down a dictator, Sly just doesn’t want to give out any surprising spoilers…maybe this movie does have something to do with Rambo after all…maybe there’ll be a mention of the Rambo character in the film. Who knows.
