Report: Sam Raimi still wants to do “Evil Dead 4″….

This is so awesome that Sam Raimi is still interested in bringing the Evil Dead back to the big screen. Sam Raimi tells MTV News that he still wants to do it. He is dying to bring Evil Dead back to the big screen. He wants Ash back for one more film, get Bruce Campbell back on the chainsaw and the shotgun killing demons and zombies. He says he really wants to do it, but after he gets done promoting, “Drag Me to Hell”, he wants to do “Spiderman 4” first, and then he’ll think about another “Evil Dead” movie.

MTV Movies Blog reports:

I’ve always thought the Evil Dead trilogy deserved one last film to close out the series. I love the Evil Dead movies, all three of them. Yep, I even loved, “Army of Darkness”. “Army Of Darkness” may have bombed in the theater when it first came out, but if “Evil Dead 4” came to us, I’m sure it will be a box office smash if made right.

As long as Sam Raimi, keeps “Evil Dead 4” old school Evil Dead with low budget cameras and all that, it’ll work. I think, “Evil Dead 4” would be great and hope they do one last film. Bring on “Evil Dead 4”, I really want one!!! 🙂

Report: Matt Lauer injured in bicycle accident…almost got hit by a deer…

Matt Lauer, the head anchor of “The Today Show”, was slightly injured while riding a bicycle in Long Island. A deer jumped out in front of him which caused Matt to do a flip off the bike and crash onto the ground. Matt had a separated shoulder, and scheduled to have surgery Monday. He was wearing a helmet, thank god.

I think the Natasha Richardson death is a wake up call that all should wear helmets when doing physical activities. Whether you’re skiing, bike riding, running, riding a motorcycle, etc. Think where Matt would have ended up if he didn’t wear a helmet. He would have been knocked out cold or worse, he could have died instantly too. So at least he wore a helmet.

Report: Metallica announces Fall North American tour, and yes, they are coming to Albany, N.Y. in November!!!!

It’s very rare that Metallica comes around here in the Capital District area. They unleashed their Fall North American tour, and they have the Times Union Center in Albany,  N.Y. listed for November 12th.

That’s another concert that I think I’m going to go to.

I usually don’t go to national concerts anymore….but there are two national shows I’m looking forward to seeing this year. Phish at SPAC and Metallica at the Times Union Center. Look like I’ll be getting tickets to both.

Check out the Metallica North America tour listings here:

Report: Nicolas Cage is still a box office draw, “Knowing” tops box office weekend with a whopping 24.8 million!!!

Yet, another reason to give Nicolas Cage respect. Nicolas Cage haters out there needs to shut their mouths about him, because it’s a proven fact that he’s one of the most hardest working and successful actors in Hollywood more than anybody out there.

Cage’s “Knowing” hits no. 1 this weekend making a decent 24.8 million. Not bad. Not bad at all. I haven’t seen, “Knowing”, in theater, but I really want to see it. Looks like a great film.

The Associated Press reports:

Also, look at all these successful films that did well in the box office in Nic Cage’s career, check out box office mojo:

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/people/chart/?id=nicolascage.htm

His biggest films that made the most money:

  1. National Treasure: Book of Secrets
  2. National Treasure
  3. Ghost Rider
  4. Gone In 60 Seconds
  5. Face/Off
  6. Con Air
  7. The Rock
  8. Moonstruck
  9. World Trade Center
  10. The FamilyMan

Those that keep knocking Nicolas Cage’s acting skills, it doesn’t matter if you think his acting is good or bad or if you wonder why he is still working. He is still working because it’s a proven fact that he’s still a box office draw.

I’m sure his remake of “Bad Lieutenant” will make very good bucks in the box office as well. Why should he quit if he is still making Hollywood a lot of money through his films? I think that proves he is doing something right. You can’t deny that Nic Cage has got some great films. He’s an interesting guy and unique.

Report: Chris Cornell defends his new album, “Scream”…

Chris Cornell is getting so much negative heat on his new album “Scream”, which is an R&B and electronic influenced album which is produced by Timbaland. Chris claims it’s mostly the older Soundgarden fans that are shitting on the album. They don’t like him going the distance from the hard rock and metal genre that Chris usually does.

Then he goes on saying, he’s just doing whatever makes him happy, that he needs to discover new things and go in different worlds when it comes to making music. Meaning that he doesn’t want to stay in one genre, all the time.

More on it here:

I agree. Chris brings up a good point. Musicians do get bored playing the same genre all the time. It don’t hurt to mix it all up a bit.

I haven’t even heard his new album, “Scream”, yet, but maybe I will pick it up sometime and check it out.

Chris is aiming for a younger fanbase, and he’s doing a great job at it too.

RIP: Jade Goody 1981 – 2009

The former reality TV star who once starred in the hit TV series, “Big Brother”, Jade Goody could not survive her cancer that she had a long battle with. She died in her sleep at her home in Essex, England. She is survived by her two sons, her mother, and an ex-boyfriend of hers. She was only 27 years old.

Such a shame, another tragic death and so sad. She’s too damn young to die, a beautiful young girl that didn’t deserve this. I’ll say it again…cancer sucks. Anybody can get it, anytime.

BREAKING NEWS: Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart are now engaged!!! Oh wow!!

I hardily ever post reports about celebrity marriages, divorces, celebrity rumours, etc. since I’m not a gossip website, but I gotta post this one. After the tragic death of Natasha Richardson, we all have something to smile about. And yes, I had a smile on my face when I read this fantastic news. Harrison Ford, proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Calista Flockhart, and she said yes. Congrats to this happy couple. Amazing news. Best of luck to Harrison and Calista. I’m happy for both of them.

Harrison and Calista has been together for 7 and a half years. Congrats, once again. This is so thrilling! Dr. Jones getting hitched to Ally McBeal! Yeah!

I’ll be getting “Guitar Hero: Metallica” at the end of this month!

The reason I haven’t started “Resident Evil 5” yet is because I’ve been playing “Guitar Hero: Aerosmith” quite a lot. Just to try and get good at the game before I get, “Guitar Hero: Metallica”.

I’m real excited for “Guitar Hero: Metallica” ’cause that game has a very impressive selection of songs. A better selection than any Guitar Hero game in the past. The boys in Metallica did a very good job choosing the songs for the game. I’m sure it will be entertaining to play.

I enjoy Guitar Hero. Whenever I get tired of playing long hours of action/adventure games, I’ll want to play something fun and challenging instead like Guitar Hero or something.

I know musicians hate the Guitar Hero franchise but hey, it’s just a fuckin’ game, that’s all it is. You should respect it because it gets people off of violent games and gets their mind on the music. I think Guitar Hero is a great franchise and a wonderful thing for the music industry.

Sure, musicians would rather play the real thing instead of a plastic toy, but hey, you should take a break from the real thing, get some kids together or family and just play Guitar Hero with other people. You will find it a lot of fun.

I don’t like it when musicians bash the Guitar Hero franchise. The famous bands that have songs on this game, they obviously love the game ’cause they wouldn’t be on it if they hated it. The famous bands and musicians like Metallica, Aerosmith and Slash…they all defended the Guitar Hero franchise and do a great job at it too.

I enjoy playing Guitar Hero because it actually makes you feel part of the song when you put that little plastic guitar in your hands and play along with it. Musicians may not think that, but it’s true. It’s not just for kids only, it’s really made for the entire family. A family friendly game.

Guitar Hero is great. The franchise will always be huge and they will never die.

“Twilight: The Video Game”, why isn’t there one made yet?

The “Twilight” franchise is making merchandise of everything. T-shirts, posters, candy, collectible cards, action figures, board games, etc. I’m sure we’ll soon get animated movies and cartoon versions of the “Twilight” series. What about the video game?

Imagine if you could play the Edward Cullen character in a video game, battling against other vampires and werewolves. Make it an action adventure game similar to the “Tomb Raider” series or “Resident Evil”.

I’m sure the game would be an instant hit if there was one made. There may not be a “Twilight” game yet, but maybe there will be one when the last film “Breaking Dawn” gets made into a film, that way the video game can have the whole story in one game.

There has been “Harry Potter”, “Lord of the Rings” and “Chronicles of Narnia” video games, but no “Twilight” yet. I’m sure we’ll start getting “Twilight” video games soon for all systems. Don’t know when it’s going to happen since there are no reports on a video game of “Twilight” yet, but I’m sure it’s in the planning stages.

Don’t worry kids, I’m sure you’ll get your chance to play the Edward Cullen character soon on your video game systems.
