Thought: Ok, I guess it’s spelled “Inglourious Basterds”…

It was originally spelled “Inglorious Bastards” but now Quentin changed the title to “Inglourious Basterds”. Notice the difference? I think Tarantino did it as his way of not confusing people with Enzo Castellari’s 1978 film “Inglorious Bastards”, but I’m sure there’s more than one reason why he changed the title a little bit.

Again, this flick “Inglourious Basterds” is a WWII flick using Nazis for the film. A lot of people seem to love Nazi flicks and this will indeed be more bigger than “Valkyrie”.

As a huge Tarantino fan, knowing how his movies are, the movie will be full of swearing and cussing all the way through…the violence will probably be nasty, bloody and gory. There will be the usual foot fetish cameo’s thrown in there, maybe a usual Uma Thurman appearance. And Tarantino will probably pick some cool kick ass songs that’ll go with the movie.

I just wonder how long this flick is going to be. The latest I heard, the script is so long that the movie will be over 4 hours that’ll split the film up in two different sequels, just like with Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” films.  Not sure if this is the way it will turn out, I’m sure we’ll get word on how long this film will be soon, but it’ll definitely be about 3 hours long or a little more, that’s what it’s sounding like.

I fuckin’ love Tarantino flicks and I look forward to any film he does. His latest flick “Death Proof” was really great, I think that was Kurt Russell’s best role.

Thought: Neenah Pickett…will she find a husband in 52 weeks online or she’s just plain delusional?

Meet Neenah Pickett. This 40 something year old woman is on a hunt to find her soul mate and husband in 52 weeks by starting her own website. This is no joke and this is seriously real. Neenah Pickett is no actress or fake person, it’s all real, folks. Yep, she is using the internet to find her man instead of finding herself one in the real world.

See it all  here for yourself at her website,  it’s pretty crazy shit…

http://www.52weeks2findhim.com/

What do you think? Think her plan will actually work?

Internet relationships and finding love online can actually work ’cause there are real people online but there are some dangerous risks looking for love online.

A few things to watch out for when looking for online relationships:

1) Russian scammers – they are the type of people that pose as model russian women, pretending to be in a relationship with you and try to scam money off of ya. Scammers is most popular with Russians…

2) Criminals and drug addicts – the person you’re talking to online could not be the type of person you think you’re really talking to. They could be date rapists, druggies, etc.

3) Anonymous people just to poke fun at ya…an anonymous person cyberbullying you. Ways to tell that the person you’re talking to is fake…photos are different…they refuse to give out their phone number…they don’t show up when you arrange a meeting somewhere.

Online dating is becoming more mainstream and popular these days. They can work and you can successfully marry a person you met online as long you’re careful and know what you’re doing.

This Neenah woman seems to know what she’s doing. I think she’s doing this not just for herself, she wants to inspire other people like us about this online dating thing.

What are your thoughts on this? Sound it off in the comments.

Thought: How “Wall-E” is going to get the nomination for BEST PICTURE at the Oscars…

Don’t think “Wall-E” will ever get the nomination for “Best Picture” at the Oscars? John Lassetter who serves as governor of the Academy’s animation branch, says it’s very possible, it could get the nomination.

See why here:

http://www.variety.com/index.asp?layout=awardcentral&jump=contenders&id=issue&articleid=VR1117995757

And Wall-E is up there in the top contenders:

http://www.variety.com/index.asp?layout=awardcentral&jump=contenders&id=wall_e

Animated films deserve a chance at getting more than just a small “Best Animation Award”, the Academy is looking to change that.

I don’t think Wall-E is Oscar worthy enough to win “Best Picture” but it certainly deserves the nomination for sure.

BREAKING NEWS: The Grateful Dead confirm reunion tour, and will make a stop in Albany, N.Y.!!!!!!! :-)

Led Zeppelin refuses to give us a reunion tour, but the Grateful Dead is willing to give the dead heads one!!! After performing a few concerts for the Barack Obama rallies during the election, the Grateful Dead confirm the rumours and speculation that there will be a Grateful Dead tour in 2009. The tour begins in April in North Carolina and the Dead will make a stop at the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. on April 17th.

I’m sure more dates will be booked for the summer and expect the band to book a concert at SPAC in Saratoga Springs also.

The current band line up is Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzman, and Mickey Hart…plus a few new members, keyboardist Jeff Chimenti and Warren Haynes from Allman Bros./Gov’t Mule will front the band replacing Jerry Garcia.

See the rest of the tour listings at this article here:

http://www.guitarworld.com/article/grateful_dead_announce_2009_arena_tour

Sweet! As a dead head, I would love to see the Dead in Albany when they come. I know I said I gave up national concerts, but going to the Dead show in Albany would be worth going to, in my opinion. I believe this is the band’s first concert in Albany since when they played here for their “Dozin’ at the Knick” recording back in 1990 when Jerry was alive.

Top 10 Films to Look Forward to in 2009!!!

Happy New Year everyone! It is here! The first day of 2009!!! In this entry, I will name my 10 most anticipated films that I plan to see in 2009. I did this top ten list for 2008 films last year and I saw all them films listed I wanted to see. This year I will do the same.

Here is the list…

1. Star Trek

(New “Star Trek” movie, JJ Abrams I’ve been looking forward to see the  most, originally supposed to be released Christmas Day of last year but “Star Trek” has gotten a few pushbacks. With 5 huge films being released on Christmas Day in 2008, now I see exactly why “Star Trek” was pushed back in 2009, I want to see the new “Star Trek” film so badily…)

2. New Moon

(Summit Entertainment already getting the Twilight sequel off the ground and it could get the release this year if finished in time and doesn’t get the push back)

3. H2 or Halloween 2

(Rob Zombie’s Halloween sequel is something to look forward to this year, indeed)

4. Bad Lieutenant

(The Nicolas Cage starrer, a remake of a 1992 cop film that starred Harvey Keitel)

5. Friday the 13th remake

(Friday the 13th remake actually looks very promising and looking forward to it)

6. Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglorious Bastards”

(Look like Tarantino wants this flick to be a huge summer blockbuster, “The Dark Knight” was the biggest film of 2008, I am feeling “Inglorious Bastards” will be the biggest film of 2009, hands down”)

7. Watchmen

(If Warner Bros. wins this battle against Fox, and if they successfully release it, this is a movie we all should look forward to)

8. Terminator: Salvation – The Future Begins

(I can not leave this one off the list, I am definitely looking forward to this one)

9. Drag Me To Hell

(The Sam Raimi horror flick is slated for a May 29th release, Raimi back at the genre where he belongs)

10. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

(The new G.I. Joe flick based on the iconic action figures, film stars Dennis Quaid and others, I also can’t wait for this to come out)

That is all.

Confirmed: “Inglorious Bastards” to be released August 21st…

Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglorious Bastards” has got a release date!!! Announced on New Year’s Eve, “Inglorious Bastards” will be released August 21st of 2009 of this year. The August 21st release date comes just after a few months of the Cannes Festival begins around May. Tarantino’s goal was that he hopes to have “Bastards” completed before Cannes Festival so he can debut his film there before release date, his wish may come true.

“Inglorious Bastards” stars Brad Pitt, Mike Myers and a bunch of other casts. “Bastards” took Tarantino years and years to write the script,  he’s finally getting the film off the ground and moving forward. The film will be distributed and released through Universal Pictures.

Report: HoundsTV names Ac/Dc the best autograph signers while Led Zeppelin were named the worst…

Some bands are great with their fans, love meeting them and love signing autographs for them. Some bands don’t even care for their own fans at all, they are just in the music for either money or for their own ego. HoundsTV which is a website mostly about famous celebrities and musicians signing autographs for fans, compiled a best and worst of music “autograph signers” of 2008 in Toronto, Canada.

Best signers: 1) Ac/Dc 2) Coldplay 3) Randy Bachman/Burt Cummings (the Guess Who) 4)  Shania Twain 5) The Jonas Brothers

Worst signers: 1) Jimmy Page and Robert Plant 2) Bon Jovi 3) The Eagles 4) Madonna 5) Eddie Vedder.

See the list and read their thoughts here:

http://houndstv.com/wp02/778/best-worst-2008-music-autographs-fans-in-canada/

I agree about Pagey and Plant being the worst signers and not great with their own fans. They don’t do meet and greets hardily at all. Not just in Canada, everywhere they go. You can easily tell that Pagey and Plant could care less about their die hard fans since they vow to never do a reunion tour for us.

Report: Not only a bunch of Hasbro board games are coming to the big screen, toys like Barbie, Hot Wheels, He-Man, etc., are also coming…

It seems that Hollywood can make a movie based on everything these days. A while back, Hasbro board  game company has collaborated with Hollywood studios to make their board games into films like “Monopoly”, “Candyland”, “Battleship”, “Ouija Board”, etc. Just recently legendary film director, Ridley Scott has been signed to helm the “Monopoly” movie. All of this was because of the successful “Transformers” film directed by Michael Bay and stars Shia Labeouf.

More famous toys have been greenlit to be made in live action motion pictures. Of course, everyone knows that there is a “Masters of the Universe” re-boot in the works which the script is being written by Justin Marks. The new “Masters of the Universe” film will be helmed by Joel Silver.

Warner Bros. has a “Hot Wheels” movie in the works which the script is written by Matt Nixx. There is also a “Barbie” live action movie in the works which will be based on the iconic doll that has been around since 1959, a Barbie doll toy that is aimed toward toddler girls.

There is also all kinds of iconic toys of all times being made into films.

See the article here at Variety:

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117997862.html?categoryid=13&cs=1

I definitely am looking forward to the new “He-Man” flick, I hope they make the new “He-Man” movie better than the Dolph Lundgren version.

Hate the Barbie toys or love ’em, I think the Barbie movie will be good for the little daughters for those who have families out there if they make the film right for the kids to enjoy. It’s nothing I would see of course, but for you parents out there who have a little daughter, hope Hollywood makes the film enjoyable for the parents to see also.

I can see the Hot Wheels movie being a good action movie ride depending on what the story is to that one.

These toys and board games being made into films is interesting to me and I’m looking forward to seeing how they are going to pull these off. They already tried it with “Clue” that stars Tim Curry and that was a great film too.
