Report: “Beverly Hills Cop 4” plot revealed!!! And it actually sounds decent!!!

“Beverly Hills Cop 4” continues to move forward with Brett Ratner directing, script written by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas. Film will be PG-13 and is slated for a 2010 release.

Synopsis below:

Story is set 15 years since Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy’s leading character) left Beverly Hills as a cop. He returned for a very good reason, his longtime partner Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) is brutally murdered in the streets. Rosewood was thrown off a building trying to make it look like a suicide. Foley has a new partner named Goodwin who is a fat rookie who has a crush on a lady cop. Axel vows to find out who killed his good friend Billy Rosewood, not trying to let other things get in his way.

While it does kind of suck that they are killing off Rosewood, it looks like Judge Reinhold WILL be in the movie after all but he will only get a small role due to getting killed off in the beggining. The story actually sounds decent. I’m liking it.

Hopefully Ratner did a good job with the film.

Report: Aronofsky originally wanted Sly Stallone and Nic Cage for “The Wrestler”…

Film director Darren Aronofsky revealed that Mickey Rourke wasn’t the first choice to play Randy “The Ram” Robinson in the film “The Wrestler”. First choice in line was Nicolas Cage, but Nic Cage turned the movie down due to creative differences, sounded like Nic Cage didn’t like the script and moved on. Second choice was Sylvester Stallone. Aronofsky explains how he was trying to get Sly back in the ring again but Sly has been too busy working on “Rocky Balboa” at the time. Then Mickey Rourke accepted the role.

From the article below:

http://www.azcentral.com/ent/movies/articles/2008/11/28/20081128wrestler-rourke.html

Rourke, for several reasons, wasn’t the first choice for the role – and, for those same reasons, he wasn’t the easiest person to stay first choice. Aronofsky now says that the story that Nicolas Cage was the original choice and bowed out in deference to Rourke “is a bit overblown,” but he concedes that Sylvester Stallone was on his short list early on. “I was thinking it’d be interesting to see him go back to the ring in some way because he’s so good in the ring. Then he did ‘Rocky Balboa,’ the latest ‘Rocky,’ and it kinda ruled it out for me because it was about an older guy going back to the ring. There were enough connections there that I didn’t want to go near it.”

I’m dying to see “The Wrestler” but I don’t know if the Wilton Mall will ever get it though. The film is not a nationwide release, only in selected theaters so I’ll just wait for DVD on this one. The movie does look amazing though.

I don’t know if Sly would go for a wrestler type of movie anyways, he’s more of a boxing movie star.

Edit to add: I just remembered that Sly Stallone wrote, directed and starred in “Paradise Alley” one of Stallone’s older movies and that movie is wrestling related. So Sly is definitely a fan of wrestling too so never know, he could have done “The Wrestler”.

Report: Blake Fielder-Civil admits to getting Amy Winehouse into drugs…

As this is no surprise, Blake Fielder-Civil, Amy’s current husband confessed to the public that it was his fault that made Amy to what she is today…a drug addict.

Read more on it here, beware it’s a pretty long read:

Thanks to Blake, Amy’s about ready to die soon. Blake ruined her life big time. He should feel ashamed of himself. If she dies, Blake killed her. Period.

RANT: People need to quit saying that Guns N’ Roses is not Guns N’ Roses without it’s original band members and here’s why…

So who are the original members of Guns N’ Roses? Are you reffering to Axl, Slash, Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradlin, and Steven Adler? Not really. I don’t think Guns N’ Roses has any original members of the band. But I would say this though, there is only one original member of the band. That is no one other than Axl Rose himself of course. He is the one that created the band and the one that formed the band all by himself.

Those 4 members I listed above may have played on the first two Gn’R albums “Gn’R Lies” and “Destruction”, but they certainly aren’t the original members. Gn’R had different members way before they even went in the studio to record their first album “Lies”.

Gn’R had different members over the years, it wasn’t always Slash, Duff, Izzy and Steven, although those four members created the band’s original sound and became what they became today. Matt Sorum the drummer for Velvet Revolver is not Gn’R’s original drummer, Sorum didn’t join the band until “Use Your Illusion I and II”. That is when Dizzy Reed joined also.

Axl Rose IS Gn’r. His band can still be Gn’r without Slash, Izzy, Steven and Duff. Without Axl Rose, Gn’r would be nothing. Just like Led Zeppelin without Robert Plant would be nothing. A band can always have different members as it pleases as long as it keeps it’s frontman that created the band or a band’s leading hero. Axl Rose is the only important original member ’cause it’s his creation. Think about it and use common sense.

If you create something, you have complete control of everything yourself. Billy Corgan is able to go on with the Smashing Pumpkins with different members because he’s the creator and the band’s leader. The Smashing Pumpkins isn’t always going to be about D’arcy and James Iha. The Rolling Stones had different members over the years, the same for Aerosmith and Van Halen.

All them legendary bands can keep going on with different members as they please as long as they keep their leading heros that made the band for what it is today. For example, the Rolling Stones would be nothing without Mick and Keith. Aerosmith would be nothing without Steven Tyler and Joe Perry but they can keep having different members all they want to. Van Halen can continue to evolve with new members ’cause Van Halen would be nothing without Eddie Van Halen, the band’s main hero. Where would Ac/Dc be without Angus and Malcolm? Queen can go on without Freddie Mercurcy because Brian May is the hero and main man and he has the power to do that if he pleases. Metallica can have different bass players but Metallica would be nothing without James, Kirk and Lars ’cause they are the leaders.

When people say Gn’R is not Gn’R without Slash, Duff, Izzy, and Steven…I just laugh. Axl Rose is Guns N’ Roses, I’ll repeat myself once again. It’s all about moving forward in music. Not backwards. I love the work on “Chinese Democracy” and I personally think the musicians that played on “Democracy” are better musicians than the older Gn’r members.

From what I read on the Blabbermouth website, the former Gn’r members were very approval of “Democracy” and they seem to love Axl’s work with the new album too. So they definitely approve of Axl doing the new album without them. “Democracy” is great work and a piece of art. It is worth the wait in my opinion.

So, those so called “fans” of Guns N’ Roses who keep slamming the band and Axl Rose for recording “Chinese Democracy” without it’s so called original members, have no idea what music is all about. Axl was looking for the right sound, Axl wanted to give what the songs needed. If Axl had Slash, Duff, Izzy and Steven played on “Democracy”, the songs wouldn’t sound like they are now. Axl has different band members over the years for a reason. It’s all about looking for the right musicians who know’s what his songs needs. Fitting the right sound and style of playing.

Maybe that is why Axl cut Bryan May’s guitar tracks off “Catcher in the Rye” and put Bumblefoot’s tracks in there instead ’cause Axl wanted a different feel of the song of what he hears in his head. Axl is just being careful and taking his slow time with the music, to make sure he’s putting out good music. Axl wanted a new sound with the new Guns N’ Roses, evolving into a new sound rather than trying to recapture the classic 80’s sound. The hair metal thing is over and done with. Hair metal is dead. Get over it. It’s all about exploring new sounds and styles. Not all bands want to stay in the same style of music.

Axl is making music and his songs how he wants to make them. Music fans that bash Guns N’ Roses are delusional and need to use common sense. Axl is doing what he wants to do just like all musicians do what they want to do in their careers. Give the man a break. Shhhheeeesssshhhhh…

Report: “New Moon” sequel to “Twilight” to start filming this coming March…

Kristen Stewart revealed on a interview with Ryan Seacrest on his radioshow that the film makers of “Twilight” will start filming the sequel “New Moon” right away this coming March. Summit Entertainment announced a sequel is greenlighted, a script has been written already, and the cast from the first movie is still on board for a sequel, so they aren’t wasting any time and getting right to work.

They will film the “New Moon” movie in Italy because most of the book was taken place there.

More on it here:

Glad they are getting right to work on the sequel. We’ll probably get an early 2011 release for “New Moon”. The second story gets better and more interesting than the first.

Report: Steve Guttenberg says a new “Police Academy” and “Three Men and a Baby” sequel is coming to the big screen!!!!

A former iconic 80’s comedy star, Steve Guttenberg, is looking to make a comeback to the big screen but in a huge way. For those who has forgotten who he is, he is mostly well known for his roles in the “Police Academy Films”, the “Three Men and a Baby” comedy, and the first “Short Circuit” film which are all huge films that made the man a huge star. Guttenberg is still acting in movies over the years, however, he hasn’t been doing films that aren’t so well known and doing smaller roles.

Steve Guttenberg reveals the breaking news that he is working on a new “Police Academy” sequel and another sequel to “Three Men and a Baby” reuniting Tom Selleck and Ted Danson. In the “Police Academy” sequel, he plans on reuniting the entire original cast, including Kim Cattral and Sharon Stone who played in the first one.

He also admits that him turning down “Short Circuit 2” was a mistake and wishes he was in it. Is that a hint that he is also planning a “Short Circuit 3” as well? Who knows.

I don’t care about the “Three Men and a Baby” sequel ’cause I never liked the first one but I’m all for a new “Police Academy” movie. I fuckin’ love the “Police Academy” films.

Does this mean that we’ll get G.W. Bailey returning as the grumpy old Capt. Thadues Harris, Bubba Smith back as Hightower? Michael Winslow back as Larvelle Jones? David Graf back as the heavily armed Tackleberry? Will Bobcat Goldthwait return too? Hell yeah!

Bring it on Steve. I would love another Police Academy with the original cast.

So far, there’s 7 “Police Academy” flicks, but the last few were straight to video releases, I believe, and didn’t have the original cast. I think a new one with the original cast would be a box office hit, indeed. Hope “Police Academy 8” happens!!!

I hope they make “Police Academy 8” a LOL laugh riot throughout the entire thing, I’m sure they would do a great job!!! 🙂

BREAKING NEWS: Rosie O’ announces her variety show on NBC is cancelled!!!

Poor Rosie O’ Donnell, it seems that she can’t get any love no matter what TV show she does. In the “Ask Ro” section on her website a fan asks her if “Rosie Live” on NBC will continue and Rosie said it will not.

She admitted that the show had low ratings and negative feedback from viewers.

More on it here:

http://www.rosie.com/askro/page/878/

NBC did a smart thing and good fucking riddance. They were insane to put her on TV the day before Thanksgiving to begin with.

Lets hope the Osbournes and John Mayer will do good on their variety shows. Whether the Osbournes and John Mayer do good or not, they’ll still be watcheable and likeable ’cause hey, they are the Osbournes and John Mayer, America likes them.

While it is good that Variety Shows are starting to make a comeback, they need to find the right hosts. Variety shows like the Sonny and Cher show, The Smothers Brothers, the Johnny Cash Show, the Muppets, were all great. I don’t think Variety shows today would be in the same league as the classic ones.

Thought: Big egos in the music industry?

Yahoo music wrote an article on the biggest egos in the music industry like Kanye West, Bono, John Lennon, Michael Jackson, Noel and Liam Gallagher, Madonna, etc.

That list is missing plenty of more big egos in the music industry: Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of the Rollingstones, Billy Corgan, Prince, Britney Spears, Scott Weiland, Kid Rock, the Jonas Brothers, Clay Aiken, etc. The list goes on. You can also add Elvis Presley and Jimi Hendrix to the big egos list.

Check out the article here:

http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/getback/37415/rocks-biggest-egos/

You want to know the sad truth of the music industry both national and unsigned music? Hate to burst your bubble but all musicians pretty much have a little “ego” in them. If you really think that musicians whether you’re famous or not don’t have egos, you should get a reality check.

Of course all musicians have egos. 🙂 Why the hell do you think they all get popularity so fast? Heh? Think about it. I’ll also admit that I myself have a bit of an ego sometimes and I’m also talking about the Capital District of local music too. We all have egos. Yep, we all have ’em. You know it, I know it. 😉

While I agree it is weird that people think they are better than others, but when you get popular at doing something like music, being an actor or a writer, and become successful at it, that’s when your ego ticks in. You can’t help yourself and can’t stop the ego in you, it’s almost like a drug. If you think certain musicians don’t have egos, then you’re so wrong.

Report: Jim Ross bashes Albany, N.Y. fans…he calls us “jackasses” and “ignorant”…

Since Smackdown was in Albany, N.Y. last Tuesday at the Times Union Center, Jim Ross who is the commentator for the Smackdown brand, blogged his thougths about that night. While he is proud of the show and loved how that show turned out, he didn’t like the way the fans reacted toward the show.

J.R. wrote in his blog:

About 99% of the wrestling fans I have met over the years are good folks and are nice to be around. The other 1% of which some were represented in Albany Tuesday night can be a real pain in the ass. They can’t stand it if those within ear shot don’t know that they read the wrestling newsletters and spend ample time on wrestling websites. They love to spout “insider” info especially personal items that makes one embarrassed to be a fan during these uncomfortable times.  I could care less if fans rib me about being an OU Football fan as that’s old news but when these alleged, educated (I’ll use that term loosely) fans are so insecure that they want to be a part of the show and would rather make jackasses of themselves or yell at Tazz and me than watch the show then there is something wrong.

From J.R’s official website here:

http://www.jrsbarbq.com/blog/jerry-ring-lawlerignorent-fan-feedbackknoxbrodyortonmale-fansswagger

Welcome to the real world J.R. It is not the 80’s anymore. Everybody knows the news of behind the scenes of WWE that aren’t posted on WWE.com, ’cause that’s what wrestling fans do, they read inside information and spend time reading news on sites like Pwinsider, 1wrestling, etc. Which are called “smart fans”. The fans that know everything behind the wrestling industry. WWE seems to be uncomfortable with the “smart fans” but that’s the way life is. The internet is a good tool to discover WWE secrets and it seems to piss WWE off. WWE should appreciate all fans that support the company.

The Albany, N.Y. Smackdown will be aired on MyNetworkTV tonight at 8 p.m. I’ll be watching.
