Report: Whitesnake claims tour with Led Zeppelin…

David Coverdale’s longtime band Whitesnake claims they are planning to go on tour with Led Zeppelin. First the Foo Fighters, then the Velvet Revolver, then the Stone Temple Pilots, and god knows what other bands has brought up shit to tour with Led Zep.

David Coverdale and Jimmy Page both released an album together titled “Coverdale/Page” released back in 1993.

Blabbermouth.net reports:

I wish these famous bands would stop bringing up rumours of Led Zeppelin touring. Just goes to show that these bands has gigantic egos as well.

Led Zeppelin has denied a world tour ever since the O2 show last year. They still seem to be ignoring a possibility of a tour today as well.

I don’t think Led Zeppelin will tour! It is all up to the band if they want to! Get the hell over it people!

Report: Nicolas Cage to star in “Bad Lieutenant” remake…

Actor Nicolas Cage has been signed to star in the remake of “Bad Lieutenant” which was a film made back in 1992 that got an NC-17 rating. Harvey Keitel starred in the original version of the film. The remake will be made by Nu Image/Millenium and I would guess the new version would get an R rating so more people can see it.

The story focuses on a lousy cop who doesn’t do his job right by being addicted to drugs, sex, gambling and stealing. The film will be announced at this year’s Cannes festival.

Nicolas Cage’s latest film is a film titled “Bangkok Dangerous”, set to be released August 22nd of this summer, it is an action film about a criminal played by Cage who falls for a Thai woman.

Variety Reports:

Nic Cage is one of those actors who never stops working, he keeps coming out with film after film every time. I don’t think he ever takes a break. He is a good actor though, I enjoy watching his films.

Report: Actor Joaquin Phoenix to release his first music album…

Actor Joaquin Phoenix who starred in movies such as “Walk the Line”, “Ladder 49”, “We Own the Night” etc. is about to begin work on his debut solo album. Actually, Joaquin already did come out with an album which is the “Walk the Line” soundtrack which he sang and played the guitar on all the songs on, but Joaquin wants to write his own songs. Before “Walk the Line”, Joaquin just started lessons and training with singing and playing the guitar for his role as Johnny Cash in “Walk the Line”. Joaquin’s writing partners for the album say that this album could take forever to release ’cause Joaquin is pretty picky with the songs trying to make sure that this album will be a real good one.

More on it here:

Joaquin wanting to put out an album didn’t come as a surprise to me. Since he just became a musician for “Walk the Line”, it is no secret he would become a musician full time.

I thought he sounded pretty good for “Walk the Line” and will be looking forward to his album.

Report: Martin Scorcese will sing “New York, New York” for Frank Sinatra…

“Start spreading the news, I’m leaving today…”, yes that’s right, Martin Scorcese will make a biopic film with Unervisal Pictures about the legendary Frank Sinatra. The producer is Sinatra’s youngest daughter, Tina. While the film will mostly focus on the life of Frank Sinatra it will mainly be about Sinatra’s brief run in with the mafia (or the mob), believe it or not, Sinatra was a trouble maker in his older days. Tina wants to reveal the truth in the film that Frank Sinatra had a criminal past working for the mafia. So you can very well expect a high amount of violence in this film similar to the film “The Departed”.

Dark Horizons reports:

It’ll be interesting who’s Scorsese is gonna choose to play Sinatra. As long as he doesn’t get Leo Dicaprio again, I’ll go see it.

The controversial film maker, Michael Moore is planning a sequel to his film “Fahrenheit 9/11”. “Fahrenheit 9/11” is a documentary which focuses on blaming George W. Bush for the war and the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks. Michael Moore’s plans for the sequel has not yet been revealed. Seems like he’s keeping the plotting underwraps for now. Moore has made other documentaries like “Bowling for Columbine” and “Sicko”.

Variety Reports:

Report: Goldman’s going after Gilbert’s OJ book now…

First the Goldman family successfully snubbed the rights to OJ’s book “If I Did It”, the Goldman’s now own that book, now they are weighing in on Gilbert’s book about OJ being drugged up and confessing to him.

More on it here:

http://www.mercurynews.com/news/ci_9247267

Even if what Gilbert says in the book is true, that is not gonna do anything to put OJ in a second trial for the murder of Nicole and Ron. OJ’s going to trial again yes, but it’s unrelated to the murder case, he’s soon going to trial for the Vegas robbery obviously.

Everybody thinks OJ will be found guilty of the Vegas robbery and go to prison but I don’t think so. OJ’s always hiring the best lawyers that will defend him no matter what happens.

I hate the Juice like everyone else and hopes he does rot in prison one day but I don’t think it’s ever gonna happen. He will walk the Vegas robbery just like he walked the murder trial. That’s what these lawyers are payed to do defend their clients no matter what happens to them.

I can’t blame the Goldman’s for this but no matter what they or anybody else does, nobody could get the Juice to confess. OJ is craving for all the attention he’s getting in the media.

It’s pretty fuckin’ hilarious why OJ would want to get on the “Apprentice” when he’s about to go on trial for the Vegas robbery. There is no way NBC would hire him for the show. If OJ did get signed for the Apprentice, I’m sure the Goldman’s would have sued NBC and Donald Trump both so OJ’s paychecks from the show would go to the Goldman’s, not the Juice.

People need to stop writing books about OJ ’cause that’s doing nothing but keeping OJ’s name out there in the media.

http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5i5YnhTMUXvR3Bg6c4AAbsfWDlvgAD90KTH700

Stop watching A.I., America! The lower the ratings get, the good chances of A.I. will finally be getting cancelled and getting off our TV screens!

What took America so long to realize that American Idol is a disgrace to this planet?

Report: NBC announce 2008/09 schedule…

NBC announced the schedule for this year and next for old and new TV shows coming back. There’s a few new TV shows coming out such as “Merlin”, “The Office Spin-Off”, and “Knight Rider”. And of course, most of the poular shows like “30 Rock”, “E.R.”, “The Office”, “Deal Or No Deal”, etc. will all be coming back.

And most of all the show that I look forward to coming back is “Friday Night Lights” which is pretty much my favorite TV show, “FNL” is coming back in the Spring of 2009.

More on it here:

It’s great to see FNL back on there. Very sad to see “Bionic Woman” being gone though ’cause I really enjoyed that show.

Report: Death Cab For Cutie makes career mistake by making major label debut…

The talented Death Cab For Cutie makes a career mistake by making a jump from small indie label to a major label by getting signed to Atlantic Records. Their new record “Narrow Stairs” is now out in stores…

http://www.deathcabforcutie.com/news/?CAKEPHP=e50e79e312cffe7e11322ca7e4bad728

Great band, talented songwriters, but I don’t know if I’ll appreciate them anymore now that they are major. I hope they do the smart thing by dropping off major labels and going back to their indie roots.

The same can be said to my favorite songwriter Mason Jennings.

What makes these indie artists want to go from indie label to major when everyone knows how bad and terrible the industry is today?
