Cool Video: Do you have DirectTV? You may be the first to see Led Zeppelin’s “Celebration Day” on TV…

Led Zeppelin is teasing something again, by posting a photo and a video of a zeppelin flying over Dallas, with the words, Direct TV, over a screen showing clips of the, “Celebration Day”, movie. This is a hint that “Celebration Day”, could soon be aired on DirectTV satellite.

This is a cool way of marketing.

Led Zeppelin, has always been known to come up with crazy ways of marketing themselves. I’m pretty sure Jimmy Page himself, comes up with the wild promotion ideas.

On a side note, I know “Celebration Day” have been out on Blu Ray/CD. The Holidays are upon us.

Walking Dead last night ****SPOILERS****

Well, I was kind of disappointed in last night’s “Walking Dead”. Remember, how I keep teasing that the Governor was going to do something horrible to Michonne but I wasn’t gonna say what it is? It was taken from the books and I wasn’t sure if they were going to use it for the TV show or not.

Let me explain below with Spoiler warnings!!! Do not read if you haven’t seen the episode yet.

If you haven’t seen it and curious on what it is, anyway, don’t yell at me, ’cause you’re the one that read it.

**********************SPOILER WARNING*************************
*******************************************************************************
*******************************************************************************
*******************************************************************************
**********************DO NOT READ HERE************************

In the books, there was a point where Michonne sliced one of the Governor’s ears off with her sword. So in retaliation, the Governor held Michonne captive in one of his garage’s similar to the one you saw on the show last night. He had both of her arms chained up. The Governor raped, and tortured Michonne, while Glen listened to her next door. Then he used her for one of his zombie fight arena shows that he has. Later on, Michonne was able to escape.

Instead, on the TV show last night, The Governor ends up keeping Glen and Maggie captive. Glen was in one room and Maggie in the other. The Governor, came pretty close to raping Maggie but he stopped, as if it was a warning kind of thing.

I’m not sure if this season is planning to use the big Michonne vs. the Governor feud that was in the books for the TV show. Keep in mind, we still have the 2nd half of Season 3. So maybe the almost rape on Maggie was just a little preview of what’s coming up. Setting up for the big Governor vs. Michonne feud.

All of this season was not just adapted from book 3, they’ve been taking a lot of stuff from book 3, 4, 5, and 6. So much they left out, and changing the story around some.

I’m not quite sure if the rest of season 3 will use the Michonne rape and torture storyline or not. I’m hoping they will ’cause it will be a bit too controversial for TV. It will help the show get higher ratings, and it will sure as hell get everyone talking.

Remember I keep saying on this blog, that the Governor is not gonna be a nice guy? TOLD YA SO!!!!!!! 🙂

1st half of this season may be good, but if they use the Michonne rape stuff, the 2nd half will be even better.

Why Quentin Tarantino is the greatest film maker alive…

There are a lot of great film makers out there, but Quentin Tarantino is one of my favorites. He’s the best of them all, in my opinion. He can do it all. He’s a good director, writer, and actor. I love all of his movies from “Reservoir Dogs”, “Pulp Fiction”, “Jackie Brown”, the two Kill Bill films, Death Proof, and of course, “Inglourious Basterds” (which is his best film, btw). The man takes film making seriously. He’s honest. He takes his time with his work and he really shows his passion for it. He is a great storyteller and creates interesting and memorable characters.

I can’t wait to see his next movie, “Django Unchained”. I just read his interview in this month’s PLayboy magazine with Marilyn Monroe on the cover, and if you want to see what this guy is all about, read that interview. His movies are just inspiring, insightful, and entertaining at the same time. He does take forever in between films to release a new one, but that’s good. That’s part of why his movies are good ’cause he takes his time with them, unlike many other directors.

I’ve been a Tarantino fan for years and still am. I’ll always stay loyal to the guy. Quentin, is an interesting guy, even though he is a bit crazy but in a good way. In almost every Tarantino film, you can always tell that he loves women ’cause he’s always giving female characters the spotlight, where they will steal the show. You will also see foot fetish cameos in every film. You will also see that he is great at choosing songs for the soundtracks of the films, which is what he is best at is music for his own movies.

Quentin said that he plans on retiring from film at 60, which is understandable ’cause he doesn’t have to work anymore if he doesn’t want to. He’s a rich man from his career. He’s a pretty talented guy. It sucks we have to wait ’til Christmas for “Django Unchained”. Wish it was out a little bit earlier, but it’s understandable with “The Hobbit” out next month and they don’t want to compete with that film. With that being said, Quentin Tarantino is the fucking man. He’d be an interesting guy to meet in person for sure.

Review of the PSY “Gangnam Style” song…

Look, don’t get me wrong. It’s pretty cool that K-Pop is getting recognized and how Asian culture is being brought over here, but honestly, I don’t see anything special about PSY’s “Gangnam Style” video. I didn’t find it funny, and the song itself was just horrible. The song itself is just like American pop except it’s done Korean style. The video was almost embarrassing to watch. Not trying to sound hateful. With that being said, the video and the song was the worst piece of crap ever. Usually, popular videos are crap, so this is no surprise. I know the internet has been all over this for a while now, I just haven’t saw the video until today. I just had to check it out for myself. People really like this crap? Wow!

Fitness routine…

When the New Year hits, I’m going to plan on changing my workout routine some. Yes, I am still working out and doing the bodybuilding thing. I’ll never give this up. My goal is to get bigger and always will be. If you have a dream or a goal, you need to ignore those who want to doubt you and put your dreams down, ignore it all completely. I’m used to getting laughed at when I tell people, my goal is to be a big bodybuilder. Keep committed and prove people wrong. What you want to do is make people mad and make ’em jealous of you. When you’re getting all kinds negative feedback and people shooting down your dreams, you’re doing the right thing.

I actually love it, when I post my progress pics on here, and they get spreaded around everywhere on the internet. If I wasn’t muscular and ripped, people wouldn’t be doing that. As for new progress pics, I’m planning posting new ones at some point, I was just waiting for better results. Not quite ready yet. I am, however, still getting a lot of feedback from people everywhere I go, commenting on how much bigger I am getting. I also get people looking at me, when I’m out in public like going to the store or something.

I know what I’m doing in bodybuilding. Yes, I’ve been criticized by many, about my healthy lifestyle, and the way I work out, but that’s okay. That’s their opinion. I like to do my own thing. A self taught bodybuilder with absolutely no trainer. Actually, I have been doing this for about 3 or 4 years now. I’ll be doing this until I’m dead. Old age won’t stop me. There are plenty of old men out there with successfully ripped physiques. I’m only 35 right now, soon to be 36 in Dec., next month, so I’m almost heading into my 40’s. It’s perfect timing to be a bodybuilder.

I don’t let people shoot down my bodybuilding dreams, no matter what you think. If your goal is to have a body like Arnold or Sly, go for it. Nothing’s stopping ya.

More on the upcoming 2012 Best Of’s for Music & Movies…

For the Top 10 Best of Music Albums, I can probably do it anytime next month, because there are no other albums out the rest of the year and nothing else good out, right now. So sometime in the middle of December, I’ll post the Best Music of 2012 list. I am pretty much done listening to this year’s albums. I only bought a little over 10 albums this year. Not much at all. Why? Simply the only reason that today’s industry is shit. Hard to find the good stuff, nowadays like I keep saying. I’ll post the music list in the next couple of weeks.

Movies, however, will have to be a late one. The Top 15 Movies of 2012 will get posted sometime in the beginning of Jan. Why? Because, Tarantino’s “Django Unchained” comes out on Christmas Day and I was planning on seeing that one as well since I’m a huge Tarantino fan. I might see that film the week after Christmas. I think I’ll wait for DVD on that “Hitchcock” movie, but I still have plans in seeing “Zero Dark Thirty” and “The Hobbit”. I would like to post the Movies list next month, but I want to see if “Django Unchained” is worthy to be on the list.

I think these two lists are gonna be good and can’t wait to do them. I like doing these lists yearly ’cause I want to give my opinion of the good stuff that came out this year. Everyone’s doing top lists all over the place, at the end of the year, so I thought it would be fun to give my own. They’ll be coming soon.

RIP: Larry Hagman 1931 – 2012

I used to love watching, “Dallas” re-runs when I was younger. I was pretty obsessed with the show, and J.R. Ewing has always been my favorite TV character. He’s one of the most badass villains out there. I wish NETFLIX would get the rights to make this show streamable, ’cause I would re-watch it again. J.R. Ewing, was the shit. He was a pretty tough dude, who you wouldn’t want to mess with.

Larry Hagman was born in Weatherford, Texas. His mother was a, Broadway actress, and his father was a lawyer. After Larry graduated high school, he was turned on into acting in drama because his mother was into it. He started taking drama classes and then started taking comedy roles on the stage, in which he got good feedback on. Hagman’s acting career didn’t start until he moved to Dallas, Texas, appearing in small roles in plays and he even had a role in “South Pacific”, with his mother, Mary Martin.

At age 25, Hagman made his TV debut in a show called, “Decoy”. After starring as guest appearances in TV series, he finally got himself a big TV role, in “I Dream of Jeannie”, in which he plays an astronaut who falls in love with a 2,000 year old genie. In 1977 Hagman was offered two big roles, one was, “”The Waverly Wonders”, and the other was, “Dallas”. He obviously, picked Dallas, in which he played J.R. Ewing. A character that made him an iconic star.

After “Dallas”, Hagman continued to have small roles in different shows and he appeared in a large number of big screen movies. He had a cameo in “Superman: The Movie”, and he also played a role, in the film, “Nixon”.

Larry Hagman, maybe gone, but his legacy will live on forever. He was 81 years old.

Chris Brown, why reward this piece of shit???

Isn’t it insane that the American music industry continues to reward Chris Brown, ever since the 2009 beating against, Rihanna? If a real man like me beat a woman, that would be a 10 – 15 year prison sentence or possibly more. All Chris got was that he was put on five year probation, was put on community service, and was forced to get put on domestic violence counseling. WTF? He got lesser punishment because he is rich and famous. Period.

Last year, he released his album, “F.A.M.E.” which was a huge best seller, and this year he released another album. I think he also won a few grammy’s.

Beating a woman, something like that can’t be forgiven or to forget. I refuse to support this guy and anybody that does, is fucking nuts and delusional. What’s even more insane is that there are rumors that Chris Brown and Rihanna, got back together. I don’t like either Chris or Rihanna but beating a woman is never cool.

At least South America is paying attention.

I can’t stand the attention this guy is getting, and can’t stand how this guy is everywhere you look. It’s not about jealousy, ’cause there is nothing to be jealous about with this guy.

The reason the labels continue to work with Chris ’cause gossip and celebrity controversy that makes the news helps people buy more records. That’s how the world of entertainment works these days. Whatever makes the money, I guess. This asshole should be in prison. He shouldn’t be getting all this attention that he doesn’t deserve.

It is unfair that troubled celebrities continue to get special treatment, when real people like us get worse punishment than they do. Gotta love the power of fame and money. Gotta love how this world works.

While I love Neil Young, “Journeys”, was one of the worst music documentaries I’ve ever seen! WOW!

Yes, I’m a huge Neil Young fan, but his latest rockumentary with collaborator Jonathan Demme, was one of the worst music films I’ve ever seen. The live performances were amazing, of course, throughout the entire film was horribly shot. Really bad camera work. For a few songs, there was a point where the camera did a close up of Neil’s mouth, and you can actually see his teeth and the inside of his mouth when he is singing. I’m like, really? I’m not making this up, watch the film yourself. It’s creepy. I don’t see how Neil himself enjoys seeing himself like that. The live performances were at, Massey Hall, during the “Le Noise” tour.

The concert was just Neil and his guitar. Switching from electric or acoustic, with no back up band. In between songs, there are interviews with Neil driving around Ontario where he grew up, in one of his old fashioned cars. Those parts were interesting but we needed more of it.

I hope Neil will stop working with Jonathan Demme soon ’cause they already worked on 3 films together, and I don’t think I’ll bother watching the other two, after this one.

There was one part that I did like, though, was the ending of the film. When Neil finished a song, the last song of the concert, Neil went backstage, and the camera followed him and recorded everything he did backstage. He was eating some kind of fruit, either lemons or oranges, can’t tell which, and he was drinking some kind of alcohol, while his fans chanted for an encore. Then he went back out and played one last song. After the final song got over with, Neil once again walked backstage and outside to the tour bus and that was it. That was the only scene of the film that I liked, but the rest of the film was garbage.

Jonathan Demme should stick with making fictional movies ’cause music documentaries isn’t for him.

Happy Thanksgiving all…

Not doing too much today like everyone else. Spent most of the morning doing some reading. Starting to re-read the Dark Tower series all over again. Just started reading Stephen King’s, “Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three”. Had turkey dinner with the family this afternoon and will take it easy, enjoy the rest of the day for myself. Watch some movies on TV or whatever. Right now, I’m watching a Joe Strummer documentary titled, “The Future Is Unwritten” on cable TV, which is interesting stuff. Later I might watch Neil Young’s “Journeys” on DVD or watch more Sons of Anarchy on Netflix, not sure.

What am I thankful for?

I’m thankful for music and how great life is. That’s it really.

Hope all is having a good, Holiday today. Lets all be positive today.
